Just because Dick didn't brood and sulk in corners and was a witty and happy teen able to find joys in friendships, able to juggle being a maths genius and a skydiver, able to be both a brilliant scientist who built his own labs at Titans HQ and built his own cars and bikes, able to juggle being a good friend and a good leader, able to honour his own beloved parents and respect Bruce, does NOT make him a dumb fool or a dog whose only description is to heel when the rich characters around him call for him.
