I grew up calling them slaters. We had a ton of them in the sandpit in the backyard when we were kids.

I've never heard of these other names for them till the poll here the other day that I assume inspired this poll.

I live in New Zealand.

Okay, looking at the comments in this it looks like slater is used in Scotland and maybe parts of Ireland and the UK, but less commonly than woodlouse. And then that's the version of the word that came out to New Zealand and Australia.
