Another studio favorite: the coveted Neve 33609 compressor. This model is the 34628, which is circuit identical to the “metal knob” Rev A. I LOVE it for drum overheads, piano, meaty electric guitar, bass amp, rooms mics, and the occasional vocal! It’s so versatile, yet so distinct with rich Nevey-thick goodness. It ads strength and harmonic excitement to anything you put to it! For a while I used it in conjunction with the @pulsetechniques below it on my mix buss.
