Pains of a Collector Top 5 Pain is definitely DUSTING. Every couple of months I get around to dedicating a day or two on 1, maybe 2 display shelves and will remove all of the figures from that respective shelf and cleaning both the figures and the surface they're displayed on. Yesterday was Marvel and MOTU day, granted I only got the tops of those shelves, but that's where the most work is needed anyways. Meticulously moving each and every figure from their displays over to my desk, all the while trying not to bump anything as to knock them over, which is a pain considering how tedious it is to pose and stand some figures. These case I coordinate and move the Marvel stuff off...clean....then I move the MOTU stuff over to the Marvel shelf and then will clean the MOTU area and then rinse- reverse. This time I took the opportunity to re-position the figures to allow for more space for not only the new figures I got over Christmas, but for the figures I have on pre-order. I found a new haunt for hunts @comics.garage looking for the new ECHOLANDS trade and they sold me a bundle of the single issues instead. Selling some nice bundled story arcs is a great way to get the coveted stories without all the hunting for floppies if you're behind or plain late to the party. (Like I was with ECHOLANDS) They're taking orders and subscription customers. I like the cut of their jib. The new Deluxe Throne Spawn and Mortal Kombat 11 Commando Spawn. Two great new figures from @mcfarlane_toys_official They both are great looking figures filled with awesome details. The only thing to really be said as critique is that the Commando Spawn is very difficult to stand, even with the stand piece for support. Something off with the cape balancing) So, I'm Leary where to display without worry of it taking the rest of the shelf down with him when he falls. Might need some extra help there. Also thinking of an LCD light setup to bring "light" to those fire flame weapons. HASBRO MARVEL LEGENDS THOR LOVE and THUNDER Despite the fact that Korg is probably one of the worst BAFS ever, this wave is actually pretty good.(and Korg isn't all bad. Some nice detailing lost with the flat coloring) The figures themselves are a lot better in hand than online photos and the only real complaint (other than the BAF) are some off sculpts with Ravager "Just out of the Shower" Thor and Star "Puffy" Lord and also I'd like that if prices are gonna hike higher and higher that we could get some nice ambient in the paint jobs. That's it, really. That Gorr head sculpt is so good it needs a Bat cowl. (Makes up for some standing issues) King Valkyrie is a wicked blend of mattes and shiny and Groot is surprisingly one of the funnest figures to pose with all of his appendage accessories I've seen in a long time.
