this!!! throughout the entire show i’ve thought that soleil and missy had exes/incredibly messy breakup vibes. also i totally agree about the part you mentioned where soleil told nelson he was stuck with her, i feel like those 3 really have potential as a polyam couple

I cannot be the only one out here seeing all the polyamory potential of fright krewe!!!!! They work so well together, Soleil and Missy have messy break up make up vibes, Stanley is great with every single one of them like seriously he’s so sweet and supportive and loving, Pat needs people like them around because he hates being alone and loves how they listen to him, Maybe doesn’t feel invisible anymore thanks to the Krewe, because they help him to feel confident in himself and support him, Soleil gets an anchor in the krewe, helping her to stay away from the dark and not fear herself, and when Missy and Nelson got back together Soleil even told him he was stuck with her since he was with Missy!!! they all genuinely care for one another so much to the point of giving up their powers for to save Soleil, and it just makes so much sense, like pizza dates at Lou’s, nights out at the bleeding hearts club, cupcakes and snacks at Curio’s and movie nights at Sol’s!!!!!!!!! Just imagine how sweet guys pleasssssse

On another note, I absolutely love how Soleil and Stanley get together 🥹 I think I saw someone say that their dynamic is Goth/Punk GF x Himbo Jock BF

They're so cute together & tbh I saw potential the moment he saved her from falling debris in episode 1, and obviously, that transformed to full shipping in the episode where they have to protect Cece from Missy's rougarou form.

Btw what would their ship name be? Soley? Solstan? Stansol?

So far 3 episodes into Fright Krewe season 2 my thoughts -

Forever insane that this show doesn’t have a massive fandom on tumblr simply based on vibes. Voo doo, New Orleans, vampires, demons, rougarous, fairies, a quirky bunch of teenagers investigating mysteries? I mean hello? Also it’s just good. The characters are interesting the dynamics are fun & it’s classic horror with blood rituals & monster girls WHAT is there not to like

I appreciate that we start off right where season 1 ended with the cliffhanger & we’re instantly getting to see the best & worst of both Soleil & Missy & they’re complicated history & badassery & potential for darkness & all the sapphic vibes this show is truly giving the people what they want

That said the guys feel simplified this season. Stanley was always a himbo but idk he’s getting the over the top idiot treatment sometimes this season in a way I don’t recall before. Maybe hasn’t gotten to do much & I’m eager to see him talk to his vampire brother like hello? Let’s address this more. Pat is his endearing self & I loved how he helped Nelson with grief but I need more Pat he feels pushed to the sidelines idk.

I’m not really criticizing these aspects too much though because there is time to address some of these things more. I’m just really loving the Soleil Missy stuff so far. Quite frankly they are the main appeal of the show for me (as far as main characters go - the plot, lore & aesthetic are also big draws & I do love all the characters but like. C’mon. It’s about the messy girlies. This is me.)

Anyway I like it so far, which is to be expected. I can only do so much of one show at a time no matter how much I love it so I might be done for tonight but I’m enjoying this season so far & I do wish this show had a bigger fandom.

I really love the different types of families they show in Fright Krewe

First off we have Found Family bc the kids really blossomed with their friendships. Stanley and Missy are popular, Stanley chose to stay by his new friend's sides. Missy got alienated from hers but in return got to know her new ones. Maybe, Pat and Soleil had no friends but all came out of their shells as the group bonded.

Then we have the kids actual family units in all different styles. Pat + his Aunt and coming from a dead parent background. Soleil with Two Moms, one is the Bio mom. Stanley with separated/divorced Parents and a baby sister. Maybe + his older brother, and two Touring parents(so his brother cares for him). Missy with two married parents and three older brothers. Then finally Nelson came from a 1 parent household and a dead parent, turned to two dead parents(which was messed up) but adopted by Stanley's family.

last ep of season 1 for Fright Krewe and the gang has to stop a war

the demon assures the Mayor that if he gets out he's going to murder that man slowly the demon offers to make a deal with Soliei to free it and it will grant her a wish and the parents of all the kids get together b/c they dont know where the kids are and are worried and know that the kids where hanging out the kids being held captive try to talk sense into the mayor's son apparently hearing that his dad murdered an innocent man just because he was a witness isnt enough for this kid to believe that his dad is in the wrong

kids. Yall can overpower that boy Missy reveals that she's also a rougarou to try and change this boys mind Soliei's white pagan mom and Pat's mambo aunt work together to call the spirits and find out where the kids are the kids convince the mayor's son and get to the battlefield to try and end the fighting

Soliei frees herself to try and help her friends Maybe gets to the the rougarou and vampire leaders to show them the ghost of the old pack leader and Maman Bridgette finally shows up to help the old pack leader pass on but the vamps and rougarou cant leave due to the spell. The rising sun will kill the vamps and if the vamps burst into flames it will light up the chamomille and kill all the rougarou Soliei and the mayor's son go to confront him

the demon tries again with a bargan, he argues that teh mayor is not going to be deteered from committing mass murder on the rougarou and vamps and the spell only has power so long as teh mayor is alive. That sometime evil can only be fought with evil but like… no demon helps needs to be involved if folks would juts fortify and kill the mayor to save everyone else. Like just push his ass off the ride Nelson, yer daddy is evil and actively trying murder people including yer girlfriend and won't listen to reason. Let folks kill yer dad Soliei forcibly transforms the mayor into a vampire by force-feeding him the blood he used for the spell the demon was playing everyone by pretending to be powerless by the spell circle. Yeah that the thing about demons, they lie the demon proceeds to free himself and feed on the fear caused by the fight which was enough to restore him to full power. Turns out it was also dicking around to test the darkness in Soliei's heart and compliments her on the inspired choice to force the vampire curse on the man meanwhile the mayor now a vampire is so pissed off with the demon that he ignores the fact that the sun is rising to try and hurt the demon. Who is fully aware that this man's about to get toasted

Missey and Stanley comfort Nelson about his dad dying and the parents finally show up at the battleground Soliei is shaken and the rest of the kids comfort her also Pat's aunt just told all the parents about everything that was going on so they know, but what's important is that the kids are ok the demon summons some pals now that he's fully powered again

Okay so, I'm pretty sure I saw a post confused about the timeline in Fright Krewe, but we get one through Nelson & his father.

Nelson says he doesn't remember much of his mom because he lost her when he was 7yrs old.

Then, when mayor Furst tells the kids what happened to his wife, he says it was 7yrs ago

So the kids are 14 (maybe 15 if it's towards the end of the school year, but I don't think it is)

More mentions of time under the cut that don't necessarily have to do with establishing the kids ages:

Nelson says he & Stanley have been friends since grade school

Nelson mentions he and Missy met in 3rd grade

Soleil says she was ditched by her best friend (Missy) on Halloween but doesn't give a year

However she says Missy ghosted her after her 10th birthday

I dont think they're the same day though, simply because they'd be in 5th grade at 10yrs old, but both of them bring up doing a dance routine together in 6th grade. My only guess being that the ditching of Halloween happened in 6th grade.

Soleil mentions a doll Missy took everywhere in 4th grade, but Missy insists it was 1st grade (it's possible Soleil misremembered but I hc it's more Missy not wanting to admit she had a favorite doll at that age)

And ahhh I can't remember if Pat mentions his age when talking about his father. I'll edit this if I remember (or rewatch it soon)

My previous post about the timeline in Fright Krewe canceled cause now I'm not so sure anymore lol

"Fandom Wiki" lists Soleil & Stanley as 17-18 but not the other kids, even though they all have the occupation "high school senior" so to me it seems whoever filled in the blanks was just guessing, & coincidentally they're the tallest of the 5 so...

Also, they list Missy as single but have Soleil & Stanley as dating each other which is like? How was it missed that Missy and Nelson got back together in season 2?

And another thing, it lists, as the kids dislikes, "rougarous" which doesn't make sense. At best I'd say they didn't think about rougarous much outside of lou's pizzeria, and at worst, they were scared of them, but dislike? Especially soleil?

Some photos I found on Instagram do indicate that the kids are in their senior year, but I do wish we'd get something more concrete than promo photos.
