WIP Wednesday (11/27) | Vampire Andrew AU (Part 203)

It's mostly Nicky talking, as usual. But what's strange, also as usual, is Andrew. He's been suspiciously quiet ever since they got into the car back at the dorms. For almost the entire ride, he'd stared out the window without a single word. Hell, Neil had thought Andrew was sleeping when he suddenly raised his head to say, "The one with Waffle House."

It was such a random phrase, it took Neil a moment to realize he was giving Nicky instructions on which exit to take. Neil had wondered if Nicky frequently got them lost, but didn't ask. Wait a second... Nicky didn't ask either. Andrew just offered his help with no prompting at all; control freak. Either way, Neil merely listened to the radio and counted down the minutes until he could be free of the Minyard sandwich he was trapped in.

But now he's yet again trapped between a couple of his teammates, though this time he's between Aaron and Nicky. Andrew and Kevin are on the other side of the table, sitting about two inches apart. Andrew's eyes keep flicking to Kevin's and Kevin's mouth keeps quirking up at one corner. It's almost enough to piss Neil off. What kind of secret, silent language have they got going on?

"Problem, Neil?" Andrew asks all of a sudden and Neil's spine snaps straight.

"Several."

"I know we got off on the wrong foot tonight but you'll feel better once we get to Eden's." Nicky promises. "It's amazing, Neil. Good music, cheap drinks, and plenty of boys to dance with."

"I don't dance."

Nicky sticks out his bottom lip in a pout. "Not even with me?"

"I bet he's got two left feet. Don't you, Neil?" Andrew asks, his eyes sparkling with mirth. His mood has obviously been improved by whatever the waiter is selling.

"That's obvious. We've seen his footwork." Kevin says, and Andrew laughs like it's the best joke he's ever heard.
