While I was in line at the grocery store yesterday, I found myself looking at the magazines. They all had at least one of these words on the cover. Seems to be all we see now; 'lose weight fast by doing this, So and so lost 10 lbs in 7 days by doing this, try this new meal replacement plan for quick results.' And dont even get me started on the pictures of people, either size double zero or people with rolls being bodybshamed because theyre not skinny enough. Why has there been created this unrealistic expectation for everyone to be skinny? When did this become the new norm? And why is it always about a quick fix? You'd think someone was looking for the next great drug.. whats going to give them the best high? Why can't we focus on being healthy? Why cant we focus on healing our bodies? Why cant we focus on whats causing everyone to be ridden with sickness and health ailments? Everyone is so focused on getting skinny and doing it quick, instead of focusing on getting healthy. Looking good in a bathing suit iant going to be much fun if you're still feeling like crap.
