I genuinely happy for all my friends where this has happened but it is a little funny that they always have full confidence in me to be better than them and then it turns out that for whatever situation I’m a lot worse (like grades, getting into programs or positions…) like lmao I helped these people what am I doing wrong

#vt.talk #just a. just a little bit funny!!!#need to lock down on applying for shit now tho cause the safe option hashtag fell through #NOT that I don’t want my friends to have these positions #it’s just like hah. where’d I fuck up #there was a debate I had in middle school and it was about education. specifically if an underprivileged student was chosen over you for a #spot to a top school because they were underprivileged would I still be defending whatever I was at the time #and within a range of how close their grade would be to mine I was like definitely I’d be ok with that happening #and sometimes there’s just a trickling feeling that the universe just decided to go with that.#I am very privileged. I will have to work duh but like. money definitely is more of a concern for this recent friend than it is for me #so I’m glad she got it #I just. wanna know why I didn’t
