Imagien you’re waking up one day, go to school or work or to meet with your friends, just like every other day. 

But then, you don’t recognise a single person anymore. 

(First minor panic attack)

It’s not that they all got replaced by stangers, though. Oh, no, they’re all still the same people, your collegues and friends. They’re just all changed. 

Maybe it’s just that every single one got a new haircut, including wild colourations. Which means that you might need to take a second or even a third look to register who you’re talking to. And then you’re looking for someone, but because they have a new haircut, it takes you forever to find them in the crowd. Or one person has a similar haircut to what your best friend used to have, but when you go over to tell them that Devin, the guy you two met at that swinger party a couple weeks ago called to say hi, Sally from accounting turns and gives you that weird look that makes you want to disappear into the ground. 

At this point, the second bigger panic/anxiety attack sets in. Because how are you suposed to make it through your day of interactions when with every conversation you have, you first have to reassure yourself with every comment again that you’re talking to who you think you’re talking to. 

After a day or two, it gets easier. You get used to the new haircuts, even if they keep throwing you off occasionally. 

And then it all happens again. Maybe it only last for a week or even just a couple of days, than everyone is back to how they were before. Maybe they stay like this until the next incident a couple of weeks later. You never know. 

Maybe the next one won’t be so bad. Maybe it’s just that they all wear funny glasses. Or maybe it’s worst. Maybe they changed everything about themselved, their haircut, their style of clothes, their body type, even their voice. Sure, everyone kept one identifying detail, but you never know whether it’s the voice or the face or one noteworthy piece of clothing. And then, there are others who picked someone elses voice for their own this time, just for the fun of it. 

Or maybe, the next time everyone looks exactly the same, sounds the same. They’re all just copies of that one weird model body. Sure, they all wear tiny little name tags at their shoulders, but checking them over and over again is tyring. 

These are the moments you drop into a whole crying fit because it’s all getting too much. You seriously wonder why you’re even trying to interact with anyone when this just keeps happened, when you get thrown into this loop over and over again, without warning, it could happen every day, no preparation, no warning. 

But you stick to it because once you get used to the new appearances, it’s fun. You love these people. Love talking to them, joking with them, exchanging ideas and thoughts. 

And this is just how it is. It's normal, everywhere. No one else seems to suffer from this the same way you do, and it's fine. Just harmless fun. You get it.

You just hate that you’re always scared of the next wave of changes. 

(This is how it feels to be on a discord where people all regularly change their names/pfps over night to match some new random theme)

Hey do you have any advice for using Grindr/other dating apps as a trans guy? I really wanna get laid but my friends keep telling me that it's a waste of time :(

Ok so if you want to get laid and you fuck men I would go with Grindr if you want dates I would look elsewhere.

Secondly. I may be benefiting from a certain level of pretty privilege when I say this but I've been open with my body count on here. Idk what it is but I stopped counting at 40 and that was over a year ago. If I can do that I'm certain you can bag at least one guy.

So a lot of my advice is gonna be for trans guys who are hot because that is my experience so what works for me might not work for you but honestly I would use trial and error to figure out your method. Also all of this advice is Grindr specific because I like to talk to guys before I decide so the matching apps never really worked for me.

So my methods is I have a face pic and I have a very slutty bio and I just wait for people to message me. Occasionally if I really think a guys hot I tap him and if I really think a guys hot and he has trans friendly in his bio I message him. Grindr doesn't make you swipe through anyone can message anyone. This has benefits and drawbacks. I've gotten a few rather mean transphobic messages and I just block the guy and move on it's not really that big of a deal to me.

Anyway one thing I would recommend is using tags and tribes. I'm not crazy about that terminology of "tribes" but I'll show you what I mean

Tags have a million options, tribes only have a few are your options. People filter for them. I would really recommend clicking the trans one and putting the FTM tag in your tags because it'll make it easier for people looking for trans partners to find you.

Honestly people filter for all the information so I would fill it out. depending on what they're looking for but the trans tribe is the one that is trans specific

Now my next piece of advice: get used to unsolicited dick pics. People open with cock pics all the time that's just how it is on there. If you're not into it it's better just to go to another app.

There's a lot of blank profiles on there. Unlike on here those guys are not spam they're DL. Your milage might vary on them because there's a million reasons a guy might be DL. He could be a cheater but equally he could be a professor at the local college who doesn't want his students to find him. I know a drag queen who has a blank profile because she preforms at one of the biggest clubs in the city and if she has a face pic up people ask her if she's that little Latin boy who does JLO and are weird to about it. So not having a PFP doesn't say much about someone. I demand a face pic but I don't block for being blank

Finally don't take any shit from people. There's always another guy. People on there will do anything to get you to fuck them. They feel very entitled to hole you need to be entitled back. They'll ask you for unreciprocated head, they'll try to get you to host even when you say you can't, theyll text you come over when you are fully 100 miles away. You're gonna have to tell a lot of people no repeatedly.

Oh and one last thing: for some reason putting no cops no military in your profile gets you falsely reported. No Republicans appears not to have the same effect and a lot of guys will use the military tag so if you're not down with them just block they're open about it

1. Why did you choose your url?

Well after our lord and saviour Pedro Pascal of course. I created this blog when I had just discovered the Mandalorian and I was a tiny bit obsessed lol. 

2. Any side blogs? 

No, I probably have like 3 abandoned blogs that have been laid to waste because I’ve forgotten the email/password for them, but its been years and I honestly don’t want to revisit the weird shit 13 yr old me was posting. 

3. How long have you been on tumblr? 

On this blog currently, I’ve been active since November but I’ve had it couple years. On other forgotten blogs I think about 6/7 years with breaks in between. 

4. Do you have a queue tag? 

No, I’m on here pretty frequently so I probably annoyingly spam people’s tl’s, I probably should start one. 

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place? 

To appreciate fanfiction and fanart honestly. When I came back to this blog late last year I didn’t really have the intention of posting anything, the majority of people on here are so nice and seeing what other people were doing made me think ‘Hey, why not share some of the stuff I’ve been working on’. 

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Well, Pedro looks like a cutie. That’s all. 

7. Why did you choose your header? 

Um because Season one Episode six will always hold a very special place in my heart for being one of the HOTTEST montage of moments in the series 🥵.I revisit that episode often. And the tones of the gif just kind of match the colour theme I was aiming for.

My Art piece from S1 Ep6.(Here) It currently has something like 1,830 notes which I am so shook about. Honestly, didn’t think I would receive so much love and support from so many brilliant people.

I believe its a very two way street. I fully support the “reblog artists and writers works” posts because that’s how this app works and as an art creator I can understand how good it feels to see people enjoying your work. But at the same time I don’t think people should feel pressured to reblog, as someone who was a ‘lurker’ until fairly recently I can understand why people do what they do.

I do! I love getting to know people and answering peoples questions. Though sometimes I don’t quite know who to tag because I don’t want to annoy people.

Oh there’s a few. But definitely Mack. ( @clints-lucky-arrow ). I found Mack’s blog whilst trawling through The Mandalorian tag at like 3am and I read her Mando fic- The Nomad (Read it if you haven’t already It’s so fucking awesome). When she followed me back and I was like 👁 👄 👁 . To add the cherry on top of the cake she has like over 1,500 followers and she still manages to keep everyone in the loop, and offer love and support. I’m realising this is turning into a Mack appreciation post but honestly she’s so sweet and TALENTED (Just going to sneakily drop her masterlist here), she made me feel so welcome on this app and convinced me to stay.

1. Why did you choose your url?

I used to have a different tumblr, and then my sister saw me on it and literally took the mouse and made me follow her own tumblr, and it made me So Immensely uncomfortable, I immediately went and made a whole new blog, and messaged all my mutuals privately to tell them I was moving so my sister wouldn't find out. As I struggled to come up with something more creative than 'time-lady," I remembered one of my mom's favorite sayings, "Reality sucks, live in fiction" and since livinginfiction was taken, my friend (who was helping with the crisis) and I added an 's.' Voila. Seven years later, it's the only username i have online. XD

Uhhh, I've been on this blog since August of 2014, but my old blog was started in....March 2013. I've been around a fucking while.

HA. Fuck no. Do I look that organized? Y'all get three hours of spam reblogs, and then I disappear into the aether. How it should be. XD

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

This is essentially the same as I said for question one. Sister found the old blog, and I needed a new one. I tend to make my side blogs for more pointed material, so that my main blog can have like...the amalgamation of general stuff i like, and then I can keep the fandomy content more concentrated into the side blogs.

6. Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Originally, I did not have this icon. I had this pic I found online with these Beautiful bronze wings against a black background. But then, around the time I decided I wanted to sort of...simplify things and make my username for my online stuff all the same, with all the same pfp's so that I was easily recognized, etc, I realized that....that picture was not mine. I didn't design it or anything. And i couldn't find its source to ask for permission to use it. And it started making me feel shitty for using it in the first place. So I spent like an hour and a half trying to make my Own Wing pic to use, and failed miserably. As a last ditch effort, i went through my 'artistic' photos on my phone and found this one. I adore sky pics, and cloud pics, etc, so it was super my thing, and I just slapped it on there. Still not sick of it. XD I also went to my side blogs and changed out the pfp's for photos that I'd taken, except the sterek blog, because that one is literally just a black triskelion on a white background, and it's a pretty non-specific thing. I would have used a picture of my Own Tattoo, but it's very hard to get a picture of my back that doesn't have weird lighting, and I'm just too lazy.

7. Why did you choose your header?

All my headers are also photos that I've taken or art pieces that I've made. In the case of this blog, it's a picture I made with a 'galaxy maker' online thingy. I love green. I love blue. Ta dah. In general i just try to find something that gives me the right vibes or has the right color palette to match what it's for. (orange and blue for sterek, trees for merlin, and wings for spn)

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

On this blog? I.....just spent two hours digging through all my posts tagged 'personal' bc i wanted the post that I MADE with the most notes...and i have no idea. I mostly respond to other posts, rather than making my own. The highest note count i can find is a post i made abt having friends that aren't in your fandom, which means you can use inspirational quotes to help them through tough times without them realizing ur quoting doctor who or something. 22 notes. *fingerguns* I'm famous, i know.

Uh, nearly every day, multiple times a day. Sometimes i forget it exists for a couple days, though. It's my only social media. I dont use twitter or facebook or instagram. I Have Accounts, but I literally dont open those apps more than once a month.

My sterek blog gets in fights more often than it should. XD I'm feisty. And I dunno who wins, i think no one. it's tumblr. there's no real winning or losing.

Oh 90% of the time I'll fucking ignore it on principle. I come to tumblr to enjoy myself and escape. I refuse to guilt the shit out of myself and my followers for not reblogging something deemed Essential. I don't care how deep the topic is or how heavy. Sometimes that's WHY I'm not reblogging it, because I don't want that shit on my blog. The other 10% of the time, I'll go to most recent reblog that Doesn't have the guilty shit on it, and then reblog that.

1. How does your character sleep? Peacefully, fitfully? What position do they sleep in? What is their typical bedding like?  

Antonio tends to go to bed at a reasonable time, but he takes FOREVER to get to sleep. Tossing and turning like crazy. It’s a miracle he even gets any sleep at all. His typical bedding is a double-bed, the type where he can just flop down and stretch his arms and legs.

3. How easy to annoy is your oc? Do they have common pet-peeves or are they stoic in response to everything? What is their reaction if the source doesn’t stop?

Antonio’s not usually one to get annoyed easily. Most of the time, he just shrugs it all off. But if you catch him in a frustrated mood, that’s when he can get really annoyed and start snapping at you. He will get annoyed no matter what mood he is in if you ask him any questions about where he came from though.

4. How does your oc view housework? Do they absolutely hate it? Do they enjoy having their surroundings neat and tidy or do they not notice? 

 Antonio hates housework with a burning passion! Really though, Ant doesn’t give two shits if his place is clean or tidy, because after all; why make your bed when you’re just going to get back in it again?

6. What is your oc’s vocabulary like? Does it match the way they talk? How would you describe their speech?

His vocabulary is at a high-level most of the time. He does however like to repeat a lot of things that he’s saying though.

7. How would you describe your oc’s voice? Do they have an accent? Do you have any voice claims for them?

Despite having an Italian name, his voice has a complete 100% stereotypical Australian accent.

10. How is your oc about medical care? Do they avoid any form of healthcare that they can, do they seek it out over every little scrape? Do they treat their injuries/illness all by themselves?

He does have a tendency to not seek healthcare, unless it’s something that absolutely worries him, such as an illness which persists for quite a while.

11. How competitive is your oc? Is every little task something that they can win, or are they just in competitions for the fun of it? Is there anyone they’re most competitive with?

He doesn’t always get into competitions, but when he does, boy is he fucking serious then. If he’s working with teammates, then he will literally become Gordon Ramsay if they don’t pull their weight and let the whole team down.

What he won’t tell you though is that there is somebody in his past that he used to get very competitive with, until everything changed.

15. If you had to choose a single object to act as a symbol for your oc, what would it be? Why?

A black and white Fender Stratocaster. This guy loves vibing to music in his own time.

20. Does your oc have any pleasure that embarrasses them so they keep it secret? Or are they open about all the things they enjoy?

He gets a certain satisfaction with mixing and matching various clothing pieces, and for some reason, he doesn’t like admitting that to people.

21. What is your oc’s stamina like? Would they be able to run a marathon, or not run at all? What about walking/another physical activity? How are they with exercise in general?

He can’t even get up the stairs or walk to places nearby without panting like a dog, what makes you think he’ll last in a marathon?

23. What is the most annoying sound to your oc? What’s the most pleasant? Is there any reason?

Again, totally depends on the mood he is in at the current time. Normally, he doesn’t get too annoyed by any ambient sounds, but when he’s busy or in a frustrated mood, he will literally turn off the AC in the middle of Summer just so that he won’t have to hear it’s stupid whirring.

As for the most pleasant sound, no one sound really turns him on, however there are a few, such as food wrappers being opened and things getting squashed.

25. How jumpy or easily spooked is your oc? Do they have a fight or flight reflex to being startled, or are they never startled at all?

Antonio, jumpy? In your dreams buddy. Sometimes he gets so into things, that you have to literally wave right in-front of his face before he will pay attention to you. (Horror games on the other hand are a different story. He jumps at every single noise then.)

29. If your oc was in a video game, what would their idle animation be? (When the player stays still for too long, the animation that plays.)

Good luck getting Antonio up before 10. His awake schedule is usually between 12 AM to 3 AM in the morning. He’s a night-owl.

One of his biggest regrets was the fact that he ghosted somebody once, and that was NOT for personal reasons, no matter what you might end up hearing from one particular person with bright cyan hair.

36. How stubborn is your oc? Are they easily convinced of the opposite opinion, do they not agree but let it happen anyways? Or do they cause conflicts with their inability to budge in their decisions?

He’s the absolute definition of stubborn. He will not change his opinion on anything unless you bring absolute undeniable proof that he is wrong.

39. How superstitious your oc? Do they end up following them ‘just in case’? Or are superstitions incredibly important to your oc? What are some that they believe? What about the ones they don’t?

He doesn’t need to be superstitious, he knows that the Admin exists, and how he knows that is because he used to be friends with him. Before everything changed. He would rather eat a poisonous potato than follow him though. Not after what he has done.

40. Are there any habits your oc has picked up from people around them? Do they know where they’re from? Does your oc try to stop themselves from doing it?

Not anything that Antonio is consciously aware of, but he did pick up a few habits from people that he previously met in his lifetime. He tries to make sure that they’re good habits though, not bad.

I basically made this blog as sort of a passion project and distraction while I was trying to move on past a really heavy toll on my mental health, so I just wanted to add something before my name that signified me growing from that asdfghjkl. As deep as that sounds for just a url LMAO

I do have another blog called @lovelyzsalma which I probably haven't posted on in months. It was technically the first blog I had created just for aesthetics (the email I used for @bloomingsalma was originally for a fanfiction account in middle school GAH) before I got into academia and also created this one. The aesthetic there is definitely more softcore, princesscore, light academia, etc.

I got very invested in academia and all of its aesthetics, especially those who merged Desi culture with it, like @chandajaan and @papenathys and I also got inspired by those and other blogs to create Desi academia content and moodboards. And so, I made this blog.

I love the art of @hafandhaf on Instagram, especially because she does an amazing job and portraying Desi culture within it. And I love that particular piece she did bc of all the colours.

...it was honestly kind of a terrifying experience 😂 In large part because I got some things wrong in the original post and regretted not testing / researching it more thoroughly first 🙈

I have no idea... that sounds like it involves counting. Probably not very many, though. I decided early on that I wouldn't do the automatic mutual follow, both to carefully tailor what I see on my dash as well as to avoid getting myself mired in the 'but I followed them why didn't they follow me' sulks.

I also just vastly prefer to follow blogs that use some sort of reliable tagging system, out of personal preference.
