oh yeah bimonthly (< overestimating) rtm update time. writing this out is mainly a 'romeo absolutely do not forget that we've struck gold here once it comes time to actually put the game together' reminder but i think rtm is going to have a border like a pc 98 game, a lot of the borders on old pc 98 games (< redundant) are incredibly reminiscent of the borders on illuminated manuscripts and i think it would be neat to pay homage to both the earliest forms of both the works i'm adapting (matter of britain) and the medium i'm working in (eroge vns) at the same time and also it's literally so so so gorgeous

YES the dithering work on these are amazing. the way the colors look so vivid just from that– it's so wonderful to look at. Ive seen some of dokyūsei's pre-digitized artwork and they are gorgeous in their own right but seeing them in this resolution (and its limitations) is just. a sight to behold. its beauts. even tho more modern VNs continue to have beautiful art in glorious hi-res the stuff for pc 98 is idk transcendent to me.
and yeah!!! about doing this back then. not to mention the games that have beautiful artwork AND were animated i.e. possessioner or necronomicon. i. ough. its so beautiful.
Did u know that some of the most beautiful art humans have created were made for the pc 98's gorgeous 12 bit display. observe
