I definitely gravitate toward prints and color. I love to play with prints on prints, but I try to have a good instinct about what to match. Like, if I have a Pendleton print, mixing that with a tribal African print will give off National Geographic-gone-bad vibes. Do y'all know that web site TheYBF the are supposed to promote young black talent yet every time Normani attends an event with other black artists they get talked about but not her. Look at that young Hollywood event last week when all the black stars there got their pics posted and I mean all except Mani, and when WFH came out they posted about C teaching Mani's coreo at Taylor's Coachella party. The whole time she she on DWTS they posted about Simone and Rashad and not Mani. What's the problem

I know to us Normani is a huge star but that’s not the reality for, or rather to, everyone. She’s kinda still in her own little pop-girl bubble thanks in part to 5H and which events she chooses to attend. That’s why I’m always pushing her to go to Black events like award shows and big weekend celebrations, etc. Yara and Zendaya are big stars, great role models, practically young Black Hollywood royalty. They earned that. Our girl still has some work to do. Way back when I used to be really into celeb gossip blogs like theYBF and NecoleBitchie. When you visit those sites enough you start to notice that post styles differ based on the day or the author. Truth be told it wouldn’t be surprising if certain authors don’t exactly know who she is all the time. Of course I want her to be noticed everywhere, all the time but unfortunately we’re not there yet.

Werk 101 Glam Night Out LA

The #NoChillZone had the exclusive opportunity to cover the Werk 101 Glam Night Out event in Los Angeles.  This event was super special because it honored Necole Kane (@justnecole) and Miss Diddy LA (@missdiddyla) , two women who are influential in the entertainment, pop culture, and lifestyle industry. 

Necole Kane started off as a gossip entertainment blogger, and recently switched over to lifestyle. Miss Diddy LA is the key Account Manager for #Hennssy.

Glam Night was hosted by the WERKaholic Koereyelle DuBose (@koereyelle), who is the founder of The Single Wives Club, which is an women empowerment organization that inspires single ladies to become better women before becoming wives.

This event gave young women the inspiration to reach for the stars. Sometimes is may seem like doing what you love is almost impossible because of money, family, or fear. However it’s important to, “live the life you love with #NoChill,” and go after your dreams and live life with no regrets.  

One of the most important tips the #NoChillZone received from the event was, “don’t think just do,” the more you think about it the more hesitant you become.

Glam Night Out LA was a successful and very informative event!
