Her mum applied for a loan from a bank [about 31,000 USD] and forced Maltose to sign a contract with the bank. [She was a minor at the time and didn't dare resist her mother, who was subjugating Maltose to domestic violence and abuse.]

Currently, the fundraising goal has been met by 10%. I hope we can continue raising that bar all the way up to 100%.

Hey EU tumblr, there's some other elections pretty soon

I know that the EU MEP elections probably seem boring in comparison to 'gestures to US/UK/etc' All That, but please do vote in them if you're eligible.

It's really important right now to make sure the right-wing fascist leaning bastards get the smallest percentage of the vote possible. The EU has problems, but a lot of genuinely good legislation comes out of it and we need to protect that.

There's not going to be a perfect candidate, so just go the harm reduction route. i.e. find the least worst and vote for them, to cancel out your racist Insert-Relative-Here's vote for the MEP's who are busy being openly fascist.

The EU elections are from taking place from 6th- 9th June, and I cannot stress enough that it really is important to vote. Again, a vote for Candidate Meh Boring is not approval of their policies, it is a vote against Candidate Racist Homophobe.

Remember every time the US users in particular on this site talk about something horrifying that is a fact of daily life in the USA and then end the post with some version of 'But they don't have to put up with that in Europe because of some Recent Vaguely Sensible Legislation by the EU parliament'?

Right.

That's why you're voting. It's a civic duty. Part of living in a society. Look on it the way you would basic housekeeping.

From 6th - 9th June we are all helping to do a metaphorical deep-clean of the bathroom. It won't produce spectacular immediate changes in our lives, but it will help stop a potentially dangerous mold infestation.

Voting is one tool in the box of democracy. Don't let it sit unused, The people who vote for Candidate Racist Homophobe won't.

Bloody well vote.

Hello everyone!

I am doing a survey for my AP psych class! It will be entirely anonymous and the only data I need is about your age (no emails/names/other info necessary). I request that you answer honestly please, as I need some good data.

This is entirely optional, and the only people that will see this are me, my partner, and my class.

Ok I really don't want to put that one person on blast (though they are also Dutch so. Deserved?) And also people are going to comment on my art in ways I don't like and I have to learn to deal with it But It really is bad etiquette to critique artists without permission and it's especially bad etiquette to goof on an artist over something that really doesn't subtract from the piece.

Like the "sorry I drew my anthropomorphic animal with human features" thing was a bit but it really speaks to how my goal with it was to come up with an appealing and relatable design over something that would exist and how pointing out the fact that birds don't have belly buttons doesn't really aid me in designing

I will also add that i like it when people point out inaccuracies that I wouldn't realistically know. Like someone told me that the strap on jolenes banjo would have the strap connect to the base of the neck and not the head and that was genuinely nice to learn because I actively didn't know where to put the straps

I work hard on my icons is the thing, and I know other creators do as well, they're small edits but they're still edits

It's finding the perfect screen shot, its lighting and coloring and even more!

then we put them nicely onto a rebloggable post, give people different color options and shapes, throw in lil graphics to give it a certain flair

the least you can do is like the post you take your icon from, the best thing you can do is reblog them

I stopped making icons for months because my posts would get like 13 notes (most of them likes) and yet I'd see the icon be used by more than 13 people - NONE OF WHICH LIKED OR REBLOGGED THE POSTS

I've even seen people take my icons (again who didn't like or reblog the original post) and edit them and use them for something else WITHOUT MY PERMISSION or give me credit
