Hey, welcome! 💜 Alright so all you need to do is sign into tumblr on safari or whatever the internet is called on android. You can’t do it from the tumblr app as far as I know. Then go to your profile near the top will be a button that says ‘blog settings’ click that then on the next screen click ‘edit theme.’

Then use this text code <a href="https://nebulablakemurphy.tumblr.com/post/659560843161354240/welcome-home">Navigation </a>

But replace the the “nebulablakemurphy.tumblr.com/post/65956084316135424/welcome-home” with the link to your masterlist/masterpost

I’m about 3,000 words into an 80,000 word novel. Focused around a boy who finds himself drowning in debt in the wake of his mother’s recent car accident. Desperate for a way out, he finds a helping hand from an unexpected source; entwining him with a wealthy family whose partners have a long history of falling pray to a deadly illness.

He becomes intrigued by a woman who married into the family that is still alive and well. Wondering how her husband managed to shield her from the fate of those before her.

In time he comes to realize that this mystery ‘illness’ running rampant in the family tree isn’t so mysterious after all. And that all things come at a price.

I’m crap at summaries, but if you would actually read that lmk because it will give me the inspiration to keep writing it. It’s gonna be super weird not to post chapter by chapter. I’ll have to wait until I’m done with the WHOLE THING before I get to share it with you. But it’ll be so worth it! 💜

Today I’m using my soap box to talk about showing up for yourself, what that means and the importance of finally understanding that and practicing it daily.

So everyone on here has a dream. Hope and aspirations that sometimes seem so far fetched that we are afraid to even reach for them.

It will be too hard, I’m too busy, I’m not good enough. These are the phrases that constantly hold me back in my life. The belief that I am not worth investing time into, the idea that my dreams are stupid has pushed me to a point in my life where I’m unfulfilled. I feel stuck in what I know.

Two weeks ago I woke up, two weeks ago I decided that I was going to do something that I’ve wanted to for so long. I’m going to write a book. Every day for three months I’m going to write 1,000 words. Everyday for 90 days I’m going to show up for myself. I’m going to make time.

I’m still struggling, especially after scraping 6,000 words that didn’t fit my story, that’s almost a week of work gone and I wanted to give up. But the next day I showed up for myself. The last three days have been brutal, I’ve had no idea what I was going to write but I pushed myself. I showed up for myself.

I took breaks, I wrote on my lunch at work, I wrote in my bed at night, I wrote during my relaxation time. I showed up for myself and I didn’t have to neglect my other responsibilities. Once I realized that I could show up for myself even when I didn’t really want to, I realized my worth. I realized how much I can do.

So show up for yourself, you’ll be grateful you did. 💜
