For the WIP ask: could you tell please us about "chamber" and "drabbleevent"?

Hello! I'm sorry for getting to this one so late 😭 Ironically, the latter one is the most straightforward I ever got for this tag game... 'drabble event' is a document containing drabbles I've done in 2024 for drabble events, the first entries of which you can read here (Nox was written as part of this, but since it's 9k words it is not a drabble). You already know of the one ongoing at the necron community, the stories for that also live in this document. I keep them all in the same place, because I often trade universes between completely different drabbles/events, or end up developing them into a longer story!

'Chamber' is... not the actual title of the WIP contained in that doc, I've no idea why I named it that. Literally no part of the story I've worked on so far takes place in any chamber 😂 The actual title is Nebulae. It's the Obyron/Zahndrekh perspective of the Lantern Fair AU pieces, and one of the happier ones, since they know they can have a good time together.

After that the nemesor desired to return. Back at the ziggurat he requested a bath be drawn, for Gheden was hot that night and its air heavy with perfumes, and bid his vargard join him in the water. Obyron felt complete peace as they sat in the sunken bath together, both silent and serene, the primary moon of Gheden looming out of the window behind them. He ran his fingers through Zahndrekh's hair and caressed his face, watching as the rolling water-drops traced the curve of his throat; when Zahndrekh turned to embrace him Obyron accepted at once, wrapping his strong arms around his willowy form and holding him tight. They did not indulge this time, merely nuzzled - kissed - until Zahndrekh was nigh lying back against the tiled edge, unable to muster up more than the sweetest sighs until Obyron took the initiative to carry him out of the bath. Out by the balcony it was cooler. The night drifted darker and softer about them as Obyron toweled Zahndrekh dry and helped him into his robes. They were not lacking in illumination, either, for outside the fair burned ever bright; golden shadows flickered about the nemesor's eyelids as he lay his head upon Obyron's lap, allowing the vargard to loosen his hair and comb the strands dry. Silken and silver, a single love-braid near his right ear. Obyron secured the braid with a jeweled hair-ring and ran his little finger down the woven texture, smiling to himself as Zahndrekh's hand folded over his.

Unlike just about everyone else attending this fair, Obyron and Zahndrekh won't be parted at the end of it; their love may not be encouraged, but it isn't outright threatened and forbidden in the way Djoseras and Zultanekh's affections are. They are of the same dynasty and are contracted to one another, unlike Trazyn and Orikan, and are thus more secure in their relationship. They meet friends and make love and release wish-lanterns together. Good stuff. 💖

Now, no one asked but I’m going to explain myself anyway. Basically, I have a lot of this fic outlined and it is going to be loooong, as in the entirety of the first war (where humans fought for their freedom from the fae) is contained in this fic and then some. Since I don’t have the mental bandwidth to work on a massive canon-verse fic at the moment, I wanted to wrap up the loose end of this WiP for the time being.

If you were really looking forward to this one, please don’t worry because I am too. I can’t say when it will happen, but know that when it does it will be all the better for me having waited until I could do the story justice :)
