RPC Imperium: Day 1 Summary

After nearly 11 in-game years, some front-runners have emerged

Playing as Castile, @mourningstarred took the initiative by invading neighboring Portugal (played by @arachn0philia). Though Gold's domain was cut down to 1/4th its original size, they are by no means out of the game. By making an alliance with @danger-tits-lute's Aragon, Portugal could very well rise from the ashes

Also seeking early gains was @avispatr's England, who took advantage of Ireland's deep political division and destroyed two of its petty kingdoms. But the later war between him and @themosthatedbeingg's Scotland quickly become a stalemate. Finn's Irish territories are being occupied by Kas as their main forces butt heads at the border, but to no avail

Poland (AI-controlled) and its vassal states (also AI) are viciously bullying Wallacha (@primordialruin) as the Byzantine Empire (AI) is slowly being consumed by the Ottomans (AI). Not at all helping prevent the fall of Rome 2.0, @hellsdisneyprincess (Venice) and @furby-organist (Naples) have shaken Constantinople down for what little money they have left

However, all is quiet in @hells-greatestdad's France. Too quiet. Collie has made no attempts to seize Finn's holdings in Normandy and Bordeaux, but hasn't annexed her vassals or reclaimed territory from neighboring Burgundy (AI) either. It would seem she's laying low... For now...

Meanwhile, another stalemate has engulfed Scandinavia. Novgorod (@cast-you-dxwn) invaded Sweden (@nebula-gaster) from the east, then Norway (@out-of-heaven-and-hell) invaded from the west shortly after. But Neb is managing to hold both fronts, despite being outnumbered and flanked. Sensing opportunity, Muscovy (AI) has attacked Jericho's rear while he's bogged-down in the frozen north

Over in Hungary, @infernal-general has fully conquered Bosnia. At the same time, Meg's Venice has secured nearly all the Balkan coastline. Austria (@rocxyoulikeahurricane) and Croatia (@dick-meister) are watching carefully while also preparing for an eventual Ottoman invasion

And then there's Brandenburg (me), just vibing as everyone murders each other

Gruff promised to return once he’s spoken with Alphys about the apparent ‘infant’ within Rei’s small frame. He had placed her back onto the couch, giving her an ice pack to numb the stabbing sensation a hair. In the time he left, Merlot dropped in to speak with Rei but he dragged Nebula along despite the protesting. “You’re the one that didn’t want me around her. If you’re here...then it’s fine right?...I-I just want to understand what the hell happened, Neb...” Merlot explained to the nebulai. 

When he ports into the living room where Rei remain huddled into a ball on the couch, Merlot pauses and looked far more baffled than before. What the hell is with her now?’ he thought in dismay. He’s wary again of her odd actions. Her eyes lacked light in them except for the redness at the edges. “Rei?...thought ya eventually healed up after all that...what’s with ya huh?” Merlot asked. Rei glanced over to Merlot, then looked away. 

“...hey...what’s the likelihood of an infant to survive if you’ve been drinking or been flung around?” Rei asked. Merlot blinked. “uh...not...not real high?..wait-” he froze up. “YOU’RE PREGNANT?! HOW THE FUCK?!” he blurts out from sheer shock.
