cant help but feel like them marketing this collection as "the apollo trilogy" is a really bad idea bc people are going to play aa4 first and expect that like. any of its plot threads get continued in subsequent games 😭 guy who finishes aa4 and goes oh boy i cant wait to play dual destinies and find out what happens with kristoph's black psyche-locks and see the apollo+trucy sibling reveal

#my biggest gripe with dd and soj is just that #they're perfectly fine for what they are #but to call them a true part of Apollo's story? when you have these dangling plot threads that remain unaddressed even to this day?#nearly SEVEN YEARS after the release of soj in 2016 I would like to add #like that's just false advertising #the first three games work as a trilogy because they're centered around the fey family and their intergenerational tragedies #you could easily say those games cover the Fey Saga #and phoenix is there as a protagonist-hero with his own arc but he is also our player stand-in and somewhat removed from those key events #aa4 felt like it was setting up a new saga; one that I call the Gramarye saga just because of what a presence that group was in the game #it's also easy to draw parallels between the Gramarye Troupe and the Fey clan; and the von Karmas and the Gavins #there was so much room to explore there too #but alas we got what we got #Ace Attorney #Apollo Justice #wow apparently I still have thoughts about this and I Care Very Much
