Blaine sat in a plastic chair in the sun, glasses on shielding their eyes, ear buds in, listening to music on their phone.  In their lap they had their guitar, finger picking along to the song playing in their ears.  It’d been a long time since Blaine had picked up a guitar and tried to play by ear like this, even if at one point they’d been very good at it.  The song, Hotel California, seemed a little appropriate, if not old, and the mood was mello and fit with the feeling of being outside that afternoon.
