@ncvusaquila <3'd for a starter!
"They always come back to you?"
Voice a drawl, exhaling sweet iodine smoke, the cherry of the seaweed tobacco cigarette a burning ember. Nicotine hits her like a dart, in her veins, in her lungs. Something soothing for a planet she's only set foot on a handful of times. It seems different each step, like Spice on the tongue.
A head tilt, as she gestures to the eagle above. "Or do they ever want to be free?"
#ncvusaquila#v; hello my name is human and i came down from the stars#went with dune verse! she's a smuggler; looking for something/someone in his fishing village?

❛ Uh— pancakes. ❜
A fluffy stack of diner's best. With one of those syrup dispensers that should not be as satisfying as it is. A melty tab butter rivering in several directions.
❛ Try. ❜

「 RP MEME : RANDOM DIALOGUE 2.0 」
@ncvusaquila ASKED: ' don’t treat me like a child. ’ (NOA)
'Sit still." She said curtly, with little to no alteration at her task. "it'll take longer if you whine." If he stopped acting like a child then she would stop treating him like one.

Endor. It had to be Endor. Crashing landing anywhere else would have been better, but this was a jungle planet. One with an old Empire outpost. He'd be lucky if he could track down its whereabouts so he could attempt to reach outside communications. His mother had to be worried. With a scratch on his head, the Jedi glanced around while managing to pop the hatch to his fighter and land on the ground heavily. He was unaware of being watched as he straightened himself out.

He wasn't like most nobles. On Caladan, least of all, no matter the status he beheld. Duke Leto was benevolent indeed, and a gracious host though Khan found it pertinent to explore the world so unlike his own when possible. A change from the desolate wastelands dotted with rare cities in bubbles, or the near constant lightning storm over the palace. No, seeing rains and oceans, and greenery-- this must be what it was like, if a Fremen were to venture from Arrakis.
Not the first time to Caladan, but the first to this village. The one where he'd heard stories of eagle bearers, and there was yet to be disappointment. Khan's sharp eyes in contrast to the eagle's before it took flight, soaring and being swallowed by the sky.
He might need talons like that, he thinks.
A nod in greeting, eyeing the youth carefully. It must be strange, he knows. Though the Atreides are indeed gracious.
"Tell me about them," a gesture to the sky, "Are they in service or can they come and go as they please?"
@paramounticebound liked for a starter
He hummed, it was a low, guttural sound as he lifted his arm. The eagle that flew to arm was not unlike the Golden Eagles that had once flown on Old Terra but changed to navigate and fly this alien world of Caladan.
Even the humans like Noa had been shaped by this environment. Hands caressed the bird as he continued to hum before blue eyes lifted to look at the visiting noble. There was a directness in the gaze that seemed at odds with the Faufreluches class system and left one with the uncomfortable sense they were being observed.
Then the youth bowed his head before abruptly lifting his arm so the eagle could once more fly away. "Your grace," He said. His mind burned with questions as to why someone of his rank would come down to a mere fishing village but didn't dare ask. Yet.
By most standards the Atreides were benevolent even indulgent rulers but one wouldn't dare ask such things of the Duke anymore than the fish asked the fishermen why they needed to be caught.

Character Development Questions: Hard Mode
@ncvusaquila ASKED: What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
Harriet doesn't know who her mother is, but she's fairly certain she looks like her, save her eyes, which she gets from her father.
She's not very much interested in knowing who her mother is, having seen Harry's and some of the other children's before they were all deposited into her care.
The idea of mother is complicated, because in much of the sense of the word, Harriet is one. At the same time she doesn't want to be one, though several forced opportunities to make her one have happened. The sad fact is is that she's grown numb to these instances and has frequently partaken in jumping off tables, gin and hot baths, etc.
She could easily go and find out what happened to her own mother given the prison state of the Isle, but Harriet has no drive (or control) to go searching through the Isle for whoever that might be.
If anything, Harriet considers the Jolly Roger her mother. She knows the ship inside and out and spends much of her time trapped below deck. Her whole world is that ship and I'm quite certain she thinks that she'll die when it does.
She has countless stories for the children who come and rest in her lap and there are as many good memories aboard the ship as there are horrifying ones. She doesn't have the mind to dream to be its captain, only to sit down in the womb of its hull and continue to live as she has been, trying her best with each child she's given.

Seth had went to venture to a new planet to help his mother win the fight with the First Order. In the Outer Rim, there was one with a species that looked ape like. Hearing about them, the Jedi went off to see if they would like to join the Resistance since the First Order was growing stronger. It was the least he could do with all the damage he caused as a stormtrooper. Hopping off his fighter, he waved seeing the people crowding around his ship.

Character Development Questions: Hard Mode
@ncvusaquila ASKED: Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
Yes! She has a gaggle of children that she looks after. She is a quintessential mother figure to the children of the jolly roger ( and some rogue kids from the docks), which is not saying much as she really doesn't know what she's doing.
The closest of these to her are her two half siblings: Harry and Calista Jane "CJ".
Harriet's relationship with CJ:
This is Harriet's baby. Not literally, but she did raise her from an infant as CJ was quite literally placed in her arms when Harriet was seven. Harriet dotes on her, but also is pretty brutal towards her. Harriet's perception of the Isle and the world around her is based off of the men around her as she has little access to meaningful relationships with other women. Harriet is hard on CJ simply because she doesn't want her sister to be hurt in any fashion. She has stepped in on multiple occasions and even hidden her sister to avoid as much pain for her as she can. It doesn't matter how old CJ gets, she's still 'Little 'Lista" to Harriet. CJ is also one of the only people who can be in Harriet's personal space without getting hit or without causing Harriet increased anxiety. Often times Harriet will fix CJ's hair, tying it back so no one can grab onto it or make sure she's eaten. I do think that Harriet's babying and hyper-protection of CJ has fed into CJ's loud and confident personality. Harriet made sure CJ was untouchable and has suffered greatly for it, but at the same time instilled a confidence and pride in her little sister. There is a potential for CJ to be embarrassed of Harriet's 'failure to thrive' stoicism and melancholy as Harriet is very old world and beaten down by her upbringing. This isn't to say that Harriet hasn't the capability to put the fear of god into her sister. She has on multiple occasions and even shot at CJ once with a rifle intentionally in the back of her shoulder. She sent Harry to fetch her back to the ship. They still have an active and friendly relationship into CJ's adulthood.
Harriet's relationship with Harry:
While not the first child in Harriet's care, outside of CJ, Harry has been with Harriet the longest. She may not remember her own mother, but she does remember Harry's. She has some very distinct opinions on that woman, but has yet to talk about her to Harry and wouldn't breach the topic unless he asked. Harry didn't get as much attention from Harriet as the other children did and it certainly shows. Their relationship begins to develop better when Harry turned six/seven and was being beaten by another member of the crew, with Harriet stepping up and taking the beating for him simply by getting involved. Much of their relationship from then on is Harriet forcibly removing Harry from dangerous situations, often getting hurt or assaulted in the process. Much of her time spent with Harry is spent stitching him back together or holding onto the back of his neck to keep him out of trouble. She does bolster his interests and 'healthier' outlets, her favorite is being the first person he tattooed. She has bird wings with the stick and poke method on her pointer finger and thumb. the tattoo is unfinished simply because of his beginner skill, but Harriet can still make the bird fly by opening and closing her finger and thumb. Their relationship is exceedingly close yet extensively strained. As harry gets older, Harriet does use him as more of a feral dog to sic on those she feels threatened by. Often times she doesn't even have to tell him. She's also always there to listen to him, and aboard the Jolly Roger has the upper hand in the power dynamic between them. The problem is that Harry grows up. He gets smart and does what Harriet can and could never do: he leaves. He joins Uma's crew and his loyalties are obviously shifted. The other thing Harriet notices now that he doesn't live on the Jolly Roger is how much like Hook he is. She's seen what Harry is capable of and feels very responsible for his anger and cruelty. He's a mirror of their father she's very scared of him because of this. They've both grown up in a very toxic and masculine environment. Of the two of them, Harriet is at a greater risk of coming to harm without him there for her. Under the right circumstances she's afraid he would hurt her. The power dynamic between them has shifted. If he came home to her and asked for her help or for whatever peace she used to give when they were kids she would provide for him, but the reality is that he's simply 'sir' like every other man in her life. The probability of a quiet familial moment for him to just be Harry again is very unlikely.
