Café Love | Jaemin Fic #2

Title: Café Love

Author's Note: This is just something I've been working on the past week. I am a part-time barista, so I got a little inspiration for this story. My friend also helped me come up with half of this, so I credit her great ideas. I really hope you guys like this. Thank you for reading ^ - ^

Ever since freshman year of college started, Kim (Y/n) found herself in three places. The campus building where she attended classes, her apartment where she studied and recharged from social overstimulation, and the part-time job at Cafe 7 she had gotten two summers ago.

(Y/n) honestly enjoyed being a barista. Not so much the interacting-with-customers part. It was more of the soft music that played in the background and the aroma of coffee beans she had grown to like. Having friendly coworkers was also a plus.

“Hey, (Y/n)!” Jaemin waved from behind the counter when he saw her coming through the entrance. She smiled and shyly waved back.

Jaemin was one of those friendly coworkers. When they met a few months ago, (Y/n) was a little intimidated by his charismatic personality. But after getting to know him, she came to see that he was a pretty interesting person.

Early on, she learned he was a college dropout who would be in the year above her if he hadn’t. He loved coffee and drank two to three cups with four extra shots daily. On his off days, he enjoyed photography and often liked to take pictures of his friends.

The two of them exchanged small talk until their other coworker, Hyejin came, allowing Jaemin to get off his shift. He usually worked in the morning on weekdays while (Y/n) took the closing shifts because of school.

Jaemin often noticed the tiredness in her eyes, whether she had stayed up too late studying or was drained from class. Nonetheless, she still came nearly every day, ready to work.

A few minutes after he clocked out, he realized he forgot his phone. Just as he reentered the cafe, he spotted (Y/n) and Hyejin behind the counter. (Y/n) was preparing a customer’s order, while Hyejin was talking to her.

Not wanting to eavesdrop, he headed to the back and grabbed his phone to leave again. But he stopped in his tracks when he heard his name mentioned.

“Na Jaemin, is kinda cute don’t you think?” He heard Hyejin say. “He seems like your ideal type.”

(Y/n) hated how her cheeks immediately flushed at Hyejin’s comment. What she said wasn’t necessarily wrong. For one thing, Jaemin was one of those rare guys who was genuinely kind. He was introverted, which sparked many conversations about their quiet lifestyles. He also had a lovely smile.

Even though (Y/n) wasn’t too experienced (or at all) in the field of dating, Jaemin was everything she could hope for in a guy. Yet—as much as the thought of him made her heart flutter, a sense of discouragement came with it.

“Yeah he is. But I don’t think it would work out.” (Y/n) shook her head, as she poured steamed milk into a cup with espresso.

“Why do you say that?”

She reached for a lid and cup holder. “I just…can’t see why a guy would like me. Much less someone like Na Jaemin.”

“What are you talking about?” Hyejin scoffed in disbelief. “There’s so many things to like about you—”

But (Y/n) quickly interrupted and handed Hyejin the drink she just made. “No, there really isn’t. Now, can you deliver this to the girl over there?”

A frown etched on Jaemin’s face, upset by what he heard. (Y/n)’s words stuck with him the rest of the day. Frankly, he’s liked her for quite some time now. In the beginning, she was very reserved and only spoke to him when necessary. But once she warmed up, he thought of (Y/n) as a bundle of everything soft and cute in the world.

He loved the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she was passionate about. He liked the sweet tone she used when telling customers to have a good day before they left. His heart always did flip-flops whenever she hummed to certain songs that played in the cafe.

“You’re so whipped,” Jeno teased, after listening to Jaemin’s rant back at home.

Jaemin’s feet kicked on the bed. “I just don’t understand! Why would she think that I wouldn’t like her?”

“I don’t know. Maybe you should try showing her you do,” Jeno shrugged.

He let his best friend’s words sink into his head. The suggestion didn’t sound too bad. If he wanted (Y/n) to know his true feelings, showing was better than telling right?

So following Jeno’s advice, Jaemin became determined to prove (Y/n) wrong. His official plan to pursue her was formed.

He practically had to beg their manager, Johnny, to put him and (Y/n) together for more shifts. It took some convincing, but the tall male eventually gave in.

“(Y/n)-ah!” He called, standing by the espresso machine.

“Yeah?”

He picked up the slip of receipt paper with a customer’s order on it and scratched his head. “I forgot how to make a matcha frappe. Can you show me?”

(Y/n) sighed and shook her head before grabbing the bottle of matcha from the fridge.

“Haven’t you been working here longer than me? How did you forget?” She lightly scolded.

In response, Jaemin smiled brightly at her. “Luckily, I have a beautiful, smart coworker to help me out.”

He didn’t miss the shade of pink that was dusted across her cheeks. But she tried to play it off and cleared her throat before asking him to hand her a measuring cup.

After that day, there were several other occurrences where (Y/n) would find herself in a flustered state. Na Jaemin was seriously driving her crazy. Receiving compliments from him wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. But recently, (Y/n) felt like he was doing it on a different level.

After closing, Johnny would say “Good job today, guys!”

Jaemin would then add, “Especially our (Y/n)-i~!”

The days passed and Jaemin’s flirtations continued.

One day he would be like, “That sweater looks nice on you, (Y/n)-ssi. The color compliments your skin!”

Another time he said, “I like the way you styled your hair today! You should wear it like that more often.”

Every day they worked together, he somehow managed to say something to make her blush profusely. But the more he did it, the more (Y/n) found herself appreciating his kind words. For someone who was constantly overthinking, Jaemin’s encouragement was reassuring.

“(Y/n), try this!” He handed her a glass containing a red-colored beverage.

Business was slow today, and only two customers were here. So Jaemin was fooling around, making random drinks.

She raised an eyebrow. “Why don’t you try it?”

“I don’t like strawberries,” He said plainly.

Convinced by his excuse, (Y/n) reluctantly took a sip of the smoothie. He watched as her eyes widened with delight.

“It’s good!” She gave him a thumbs up in approval.

(Y/n) placed the beverage down and glanced over to the people sitting near the window. Her smile slowly began to fade as she watched the girl feed the guy a piece of cake. They looked at each other with so much endearment.

“They look cute, don’t you think?” She gestured to their table. “The couple over there.”

“Why do you sound so sad when saying that?” Jaemin asked.

She shrugged. “I don’t know…I kinda wish I had what they had. But I know that could never happen to me.”

He tilted his head in confusion.“What do you mean?”

(Y/n)’s gaze shifted over to Jaemin, looking at him with slight hesitation. She bit her lip, contemplating whether to be truthful. It was Jaemin at the end of the day. He wouldn’t judge her, right?

“I’ve struggled with anxiety all of my life.” Her eyes rested on her folded hands on the counter. It sounded as if she was embarrassed by this confession. Jaemin could tell this was a hard topic for her to talk about.

“And it stops me from doing a lot of things,” (Y/n) continued, “I’ve never been in a relationship. But if I were, I fear I’d just end up becoming a burden to that person.”

What she said next made Jaemin’s heart hurt. She turned to look at him, wearing a sad smile. “Honestly, I can’t imagine why a person would love me.”

This was probably the most real she’s ever been with someone. She wasn’t exactly sure why she was telling Jaemin all this. It felt scary, after being used to hiding this part of herself.

Jaemin went silent, pondering on what to say. She began to worry, afraid she had overshared.

“I’m sorry for telling you this—”

“A person doesn't need a reason to love, they just do,” Jaemin then said.

He took a step closer, where the two faced each other. Their shoes almost touched. The compassion pouring from his eyes made her heart beat faster.

“You deserve to be loved, Kim (Y/n),” He spoke softly. “Even if you don’t think so.”

That moment with Jaemin kept replaying in (Y/n)’s head. She couldn’t stop thinking about his words, and it was slowly driving her insane.

“It seems like he likes you,” Hyejin said after hearing what happened.

The idea immediately caused (Y/n) to shake her head in denial. “What? No, it can’t be—”

But Hyejin cut her off. “You seriously don’t know guys, (Y/n)-ah. Giving compliments, making drinks for you, and saying sappy sweet stuff? Those are all signs that he likes you!”

Was she that oblivious? The possibility of Jaemin actually liking her never crossed her mind. This whole time, (Y/n) thought he was just being a nice senior.

“You really think so?” (Y/n) asked, still a little unsure.

Hyejin nodded, “But the real question is, do you like him too?”

Thinking back to what her coworker said, (Y/n) recalled all the time she experienced this strange feeling whenever she was around Jaemin. He truly was a kindhearted person. She didn’t think she'd ever met a man as sincere as him.

But just as (Y/n) was slowly accepting her feelings for Jaemin, the boy’s sweet acts toward her stopped. He barely talked during shifts and kept to himself. (Y/n) started to think that maybe Hyejin was wrong. Maybe he was just playing with her.

However, (Y/n) suspected that wasn’t it when he started missing days of work. And she began to understand the saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

Unable to sleep one night, (Y/n) left her apartment and dropped by the convenience store. Having a drink sounded like a good idea to get her mind off things. She didn’t expect to see the very boy occupying her thoughts, sitting outside downing a shot of soju.

“Jaemin?”

Instantly his head turned to (Y/n) who cautiously approached his table. She noticed his eyes were slightly red. Had he been crying?

“Oh (Y/n) sorry, I didn’t see you there.” He swiped his eyes, pretending as if everything was normal.

But (Y/n) wasn’t fooled by the fake smile he wore. She sat down in the empty chair beside him. He reached for the green bottle to pour another glass for himself. But she placed her hand over his, stopping him.

“Jaemin-ssi…what’s wrong?” She asked gently.

He sucked in a breath and looked down. He didn’t want to bother (Y/n) with his problems. But he had been holding so much in, that he was on the verge of exploding if he didn’t tell someone.

“My mom has stomach cancer, stage four,” Jaemin swallowed.

Her jaw dropped slightly at this. She didn’t know what to say. “Jaemin, I…I’m so sorry.”

“I’m such a bad son,” He lamented, pressing his knuckles against his temple. “I should’ve known something was wrong. I should’ve been taking more care of her.”

Seeing Jaemin look so utterly broken made (Y/n) want to take away all his pain. She could only imagine what he was going through.

“Jaemin, your mom being sick isn’t your fault. It was out of your control,” She said, squeezing his hand.

The boy shook his head. “It’s not just that though.”

He started to tell her about how throughout his childhood, his mom worked as a single parent and had a tteokbokki stand. She spent so many years, earning money to send her only son off to college. But he didn’t even last a week and instead was working a part-time job.

“Gosh, I’m so worthless!” He clenched the shot glass in his hand, as more tears spilled out of his eyes.

(Y/n) frowned and countered, “Na Jaemin, you are not worthless. So many people think you’re lovely and wonderful. Anyone who has you in their lives is lucky and loves you.”

“Do you?” He glanced up at her with teary eyes.

She didn’t say anything for a few seconds, thinking about his question.

“Honestly, I was worried when you suddenly disappeared,” She quietly admitted. “I guess I got used to you always cheering me on. When I’m with you, I feel like I can be myself without judgment.”

(Y/n) gathered all the courage to meet his eyes once more. “You’ve become the most precious person in my life. So yes…I think I’m in love with you.”

Those three words that just left her mouth were frightening. But they felt that much real. Her heartbeat sped up uncontrollably, and her face was hot. She searched Jaemin’s eyes for a response, wondering if she made a mistake.

But then he leaned over to pull her into a hug, startling her. “Thank you (Y/n) For being the one person in my life that doesn’t mind my flaws.”

Touched by his words, (Y/n) slowly smiled and hugged him back. By the way, he held her tightly, she knew that her feelings were not one-sided.

“Maybe because I have a lot of flaws myself,” She murmured.

Jaemin slightly pulled out of the hug and smiled at her brightly. He leaned over to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

“And they are perfect.”

A/N: not me starting a new fic while still figuring out my chenle fic im sorry. I shouldve learnt how to make smau stories before deciding to announce it to the world like a dumbass. But was rewatching nct dream content instead of studying again and i couldnt get the idea of a cafe based sitcom fanfic out of my mind so here we are. as for this fic, i will make sure to update once a week, special episodes too if i get the time. I dont know how long this will go but ill wind it up at 20-21 episodes excluding the special episodes. If this gets a good response maybe we’ll have more seasons idk. If by some reason i dont update on friday. I will do it on Saturday morning at 10.30 am kst not a minute late not a minute early. Y/N and Jeno had been quiet since then, she timidly told him she was going to take a shower but without looking him in the eyes, maybe because her cum was running down her leg as soon as she got out of bed.

Jeno took the time to take a deep breath, it wasn't exactly how he wanted to cum but it had been sexy, he couldn't wait for the rest of the honeymoon.

So he took the opportunity to cook something for them to eat.

They were both weak, they needed to replenish their energy.

The atmosphere between them was so quiet and strange that it wasn't something they would be able to get used to, especially because given their chemistry sitting down and talking about what had happened, it wouldn't happen anytime soon.

The princess cursed even the eighth generation of the person who had packed her suitcase, although the chalet was warm because of the fireplace having only silk nightgowns to sleep in was a bit too much.

She didn't want to seem like she was teasing Jeno but the red nightgown was bold enough for that, that was one of the reasons she had tied up the robe.

If her legs were still weak from what had happened, she didn't even want to imagine what Jeno would do when he saw her dressed like that.

Of course, it took her longer than it should have for that to happen.

She left the bathroom hugging her own body. Jeno's attentive eyes followed her until she passed in front of the kitchen counter.

She intended to go to the living room and sit as close to the fireplace as possible, if the food he had made didn't smell so nice.

Enough to make her confused.

"Since when do you know how to cook?" she asked quietly after a long time analyzing the two dishes.

"I think since I was 14." He answered and wiped his hands on the dishcloth that was over his shoulder. The princess looked at him curiously and he laughed. "When you're not the direct heir to the throne, you need to find something to do in the castle."

"And you chose to cook?" she asked, a little surprised.

"It was that or become a guinea pig for what Haechan called food." Jeno rolled his eyes just remembering his brother's cooking and took the dishcloth off his shoulder.

He was the best of the brothers for that task. And in archery. And in swords.

Even better than the King.

Y/N didn't say anything but her expression showed how impressed she was mainly because Jeno seemed to have made an exquisite dish with the few ingredients they had there.

"If you like it, you can try the dessert later." he said and Y/N's stomach growled loudly at the same time making him laugh softly as she agreed.

The two decided to eat sitting in front of the fireplace in a terrible silence, the princess admired in amazement how talented Jeno was at cooking while he watched her attentively, wanting to know why she had covered herself completely with the robe preventing him from seeing even a glimpse of what she was hiding underneath.

It couldn't be because of shyness.

Jeno gently extended his hand to take her plate which although she found it strange, she handed it to him.

"Would you like some wine?" he asked quietly.

The princess snorted loudly and crossed her arms, although it was a very childish attitude she didn't care even when she heard Jeno's amused laugh.

Okay, she understood the need to only travel the next day, now having to sleep with Jeno in the same room was already too much!

She wanted to have one last night sleeping alone, with her thoughts, her dreams... She wasn't expecting to sleep in the same room as Jeno so quickly.

“Daughter, please, you know that we hired new employees mainly to serve the wedding party, if any of them find out that you sleep in separate rooms, can you imagine what will happen next?”

She ran her hand over her face, frustrated. Of course she understood what her mother meant.

It was obvious that as soon as anyone noticed that she and Jeno weren’t really in love, the next morning all the tabloids would put on the front page the farce that was the love between the new Romeo and the new Juliet. And newlyweds sleeping in separate rooms would be the worst proof.

She didn't want to start her reign, which hadn't even started yet, like this. With her face printed in the media along with a fake stamp.

"All right mother." she agreed, giving up. “What time will we leave tomorrow?”

“After breakfast, please be ready.”

They both nodded and the queen said goodbye, leaving the room quickly. Y/N took a deep breath before turning around, finding Jeno next to the bed with an amused smile on his face.

She held his gaze, swallowing whatever anxiety had settled in the pit of her stomach. They would just sleep, that's all.

So what if she was thinking about the kiss that hadn't even happened? She was going to be fine… or at least that's what she thought.

"You can take your clothes off." he said before throwing himself on the princess's bed, who looked at him in shock and felt her legs tremble.

Jeno was back with that bossy tone.

"What?" Her voice became thinner and louder, eliciting a sideways smile from Jeno.

“Do you want to sleep in your wedding dress?” he asked, feigning naivety. “If you can do it, that’s fine with me, the bed is big enough for that.”

The princess wanted to beat herself up for the very thoughts that dominated her in those few seconds.

She took a deep breath and swallowed the answer she wanted to give, going to the closet in silence feeling her ears burning.

"Idiot." she whispered to herself as she heard Jeno laugh in the room.

He was in such a good mood that it was irritating her but a mischievous smile appeared on the princess's face as soon as she looked at one of her nightgowns.

Oh she would torture Jeno.

She picked up her clothes and went to the bathroom in silence, with a frown on her face the entire way so Jeno would think she was still mad.

“Do you want help?” She heard his voice tease as soon as she reached the bathroom, she didn't respond at all and closed the door tightly.

She looked in the mirror and the sparkle of fun was in her eyes. The princess had a hard time taking off the dress herself, she had dismissed the maids, but she managed it after a long time. She undid her braid and took off all her accessories, her hair in thick curls fell in front of her bust and she put it back, took off her makeup and put on her nightgown.

Smiling victoriously, she admired her own figure in the mirror.

The white silk nightgown was short, barely reaching mid-thigh, the breast part of the fabric only covered her nipples because everything else was made of lace, enough to see her skin.

She took the opportunity to put on a white robe but left the front exposed. She wanted to show off and that's exactly what she did when she came out of the bathroom, she paused dramatically so Jeno could get a good look at her and she held back her laughter when he choked on his own saliva.

He seemed surprised and very interested in his wife's figure, enough to move off the bed to take a better look.

The princess walked normally to the other side of the bed while Jeno's eyes were fixed on her, she knew that any sudden movement would make him have a clear view of her bust and that was why she pulled two pillows from the bed and threw them at him, which astonished, he couldn't even defend himself.

Jeno removed the pillows from his face and looked at the princess in confusion.

"What?"

"Pardon?"

“You’ll need them to sleep on the floor.” She crossed her arms and Jeno got lost in the movement, he didn't even hide it when he swallowed hard.

She was finding this all amusing.

Y/N huffed, bringing her hands to her waist, attracting Jeno's hungry eyes even more.

“Isn’t it obvious to you?” she asked but he didn't respond, visibly more interested in looking at her. “You’re going to sleep on the floor!”

He blinked a few times and his eyes returned to looking at the princess's face, she had a false serious expression.

"Huh?" That's what he said and she reached for the bedroom carpet. "Sure." He chuckled, placing the pillows on the bed.

"Do you think I’m joking?”

“Damn I’m going to sleep on the floor.” He lay on the bed with his arms crossed behind his head and she laughed in disbelief.

“Okay, then I’ll go.” she made to pull the other pillows that were underneath Jeno and he stopped her.

“How old are you, princess?” She raised her eyebrow. “The bed is big enough for both of us, I won’t grab you in the middle of the night.” she narrowed her eyes. “Unless you ask.” he winked and she rolled her eyes.

Unconsciously she would ask yes.

“Good night, Jeno.”

Y/N got under the blanket after getting rid of the robe and was about to pull the pillow when Jeno got up, she smiled victoriously thinking he was going to sleep on the floor but the smile was quickly undone when he started taking off his clothes, starting with the pants.

“Wow, what are you doing?” She sat on the bed, forcing her eyes to look only at his face. In vain, of course.

“Do I really need to answer?” he pointed to his own body and saw the princess open her mouth to respond but he interrupted her by taking off the rest of the clothes that covered his chest.

Y/N held her breath when she saw Jeno practically naked in front of her, he was only wearing black boxers and just as he had admired her body, it was her turn to do the same.

Mainly because Jeno seemed slightly hard.

“If you are cold at night, you can hug me.” he suggested, smiling mischievously and loving the fact that she admired him so exposed like that.

“I’m going to smother you with the pillow.” she said, trying to hide the embarrassment of having been so shameless in front of him.

Y/N turned her back to Jeno and lay down again, fighting with all her strength not to turn over and look at Jeno lying on her bed.

It was too tempting to have him there by her side.

Y/N held her breath as she felt the bed dip next to her and Jeno's heat approached her back, something in her stomach happened and it wasn't anxiety.

“Dream with me, princess.” he whispered in her ear and she closed her eyes so that no sound would come out of her mouth.

Who was torturing who that night?

The princess began to regain consciousness little by little, the room was still dark and hot, that's why she buried her face even more in the pillow. She wanted to enjoy a few minutes before getting up, but she felt something soft against her nose and opened her eyes at the same moment.

Coming face to face with Jeno sleeping next to her, with his face pressed against hers because his head was on the same pillow that Y/N was using. Her eyes widened when she realized what had happened, she had accidentally given him an Eskimo kiss.

When she saw that Jeno was moving in bed, about to wake up, she moved away abruptly, trying to keep a safe distance from his body.

With so many pillows on that bed, had they slept for who knows how long in the same one? It had to be a joke, really.

She got up from the bed, feeling her heart pounding against her ribs and took a deep breath to control the need to rub her thighs together. All she needed was to get excited first thing in the morning with Jeno by her side!

Annoyed with herself, she went to get ready for breakfast. She knew that the chalet was on top of a mountain, far from the big city, and the weather was slightly colder compared to the previous day, so that's why she put on dark clothes, a long leather skirt with a slit on the right leg, a blouse with long sleeves in a brown tone and black boots.

When she returned to the room Jeno was still sleeping, with his arms stretched up and his torso exposed, she almost left the room and left him there, until she remembered her obligations and took a deep breath before going to him.

“Jeno.” she called out to him, briefly touching his shoulder. “Get up.” she saw him complain but didn't wake up. “Hurry up, we don’t have all morning.”

The princess used a little more force against his shoulder and Jeno opened one eye, watching Y/N.

“If I pull you, will you stop pushing me?” Y/N felt the back of her neck crawl from Jeno's hoarse voice, her hands started to sweat and she faltered.

"Stop being an idiot." she pulled away completely and Jeno woke up, interested in looking her up and down. “I can't go down without you.”

He smirked.

“Ah, the beauty of marriage.” he hummed and she crossed her arms.

“You have five minutes to get dressed.” she ordered and went to the other end of the bed, waiting.

"Good day to you too. I slept very well and you?” he said ironically and got up from the bed.

Y/N looked away from Jeno's body and scratched the back of her head, feigning interest in a fixed spot in the room, anywhere that wasn't his boxers and his dic-

“What’s the cabin like?” Jeno asked interested.

“Cold, so if you're thinking about wearing a black tank top, I suggest you think about something else.” Y/N replied without looking at him and heard his light laugh. "What?"

“Don’t worry, only you will see me in a tank top from now on.” the princess looked at him and Jeno winked at her.

"I don't care." she shrugged, feigning indifference.

Jeno laughed but didn't say anything, he went to the closet that already had some of his clothes there and got dressed quickly, also dark clothes, a black button-down shirt that he rolled up the sleeves to the elbow and a pair of jeans, he picked up a dark coat and then went to the bathroom to wash his face and mess up his hair.

At the coffee with the queen and the king there was no other topic other than the wedding, all the leaders of the allied countries and even those who weren’t considered friends of the kingdom had been present, sealing for the time being the peace they had sought with that alliance.

As soon as they finished, the bags were already in the car and the princess said goodbye to her parents with a hug while Jeno just nodded.

Y/N had her hands together while Jeno kept his palms on top of his knees, even the driver was feeling the tension between them, so the ride to the cabin was in complete silence.

To deny the tension would also be to deny the discreet looks that they both directed at each other.

The princess was worried, this was remarkable, she would be alone with Jeno in the chalet for a week. No employees, no parents, no press. She had no idea what to expect and worse, she didn't know what could happen.

Not giving in to temptation in the castle was easy because the place was big enough to not even bump into him, but in the chalet it would be different. Not only did they bump into each other, they would sleep in the same room.

And on top of that it was their honeymoon.

Even though she tried not to put pressure on herself about it, after all it was just a political alliance between the two kingdoms, she couldn't help but get goosebumps every time she remembered why they were going so far away.

The driver helped Jeno take the bags out of the car while Y/N went ahead hugging herself because of the cold and anxiety. The chalet was freezing when they entered and the driver left quickly.

Y/N went to the pantry to get some wood scraps to put on the fireplace while Jeno opened the curtains.

“How long has it been since you’ve been here?” Jeno asked as soon as Y/N lit the fireplace, she stood in front of the fire and rubbed her hands together.

She sighed, trying not to get lost in the memories.

“Longer than I would have liked.” was what she replied and Jeno walked over to warm up like her.

While he stared at her without hiding, the princess kept her eyes fixed on the fireplace, her heart racing every second that Jeno looked at her.

"Stop with that." she asked, quietly.

"What?"

“Staring at me like that as if I’m a…” Y/N looked at Jeno who raised his eyebrow, waiting for the answer, she swallowed and looked away. “prey.”

Jeno laughed lightly.

"You’re nervous."

"No I'm not."

“Then why are you sweating?” he questioned as Y/N felt sweat run down the back of her neck, uncomfortable that she was being so obvious to him, she crossed her arms.

"Heat." was the first thing she responded and she wanted to beat herself up for it.

She was hot, but not because of the fireplace.

“Everything would be so much easier if you admitted it.”

She snorted.

“Admit what?” her voice got slightly louder and Jeno approached with slow steps, stopping so close to her that their bodies were almost touching.

“That I can help you as much as you can help me.” Jeno's low tone was seductive, it made her legs tremble, but she wasn't going to give in that easily.

“You said you would only kiss me when I begged you and you know I won’t do that, Jeno.” she raised her eyebrow, defiant, and Jeno fixed his eyes on her mouth.

"You are." he said with certainty. “Not today, maybe not tomorrow but you will.” She opened her mouth to retort but he shut her up, bringing his hand to her lips, catching her off guard with the touch. “But I wasn’t referring to kissing you.”

She narrowed her eyes.

"What are you talking about?" she asked, quietly, unable to take her eyes off his face.

Jeno took his free hand to the princess's waist and pulled her along with him, going backwards to the sofa, the princess was reluctant when he sat down, feeling him putting pressure on her waist so she could do the same, but Jeno was more insistent and made her sit on his lap.

"What are you doing?" She made to get up, resting her hands on his shoulder but Jeno brought his other hand to her waist, keeping her sitting there on his lap.

“Do whatever you want, princess. You no longer need to rub your own thighs.” Y/N felt breathless as she understood what Jeno was trying to do.
