Because shop space in the Nevada Narrow Gauge restoration shop is quite limited, it was hard to get a picture of NCNGRR #10.

This 5-Ton Plymouth Switcher was built in April, 1943 for the Sunflower Ordinance Company of DeSoto, Kansas. There the usually short cab of the Plymouth switcher was replaced with a full standing cab, so the engineer of the locomotive could have a clear view of the ordinance he was transporting. It changed a few hands after the Second World War, until 1986 when it was sold to the Nevada County Historical Society. Much like the previously mentioned WSLCo diesel switcher this locomotive was rebuilt with an air compressor that is barely visible in the first photo, just next to the cab.
