Iverson Action Shots

Born to a 15-year-old mother in Hampton, VA, Allen Ezail Iverson played 2 incredible seasons for Georgetown University from 1994-1996, leading his school to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament in 1994-95, and the Eight Elite round in the 1995-96 season. Iverson would then leave college and declare for the '96 NBA draft. In his time at Georgetown, he averaged 22.9 ppg, was named an first team All-American, won Big East Rookie of the Year, was named to the All Rookie Tournament First Team and won Big East Defensive Player of the Year both seasons.

He was selected 1st overall by the Philly Sixers, and made his debut with a record 30 points and 6 assists in a loosing game against the Milwaukee Bucks. From 1996 to 2006, Iverson played brilliantly for the 76ers, tying with Willie Anderson for third highest rookie guard scores, breaking the Chamberlain record of 3 consecutive 40 point games by doing it 5 times, and was named rookie of the year, averaging 23.5 ppg, 7.9 apg, 2.1 spg. Iverson would then go on to win NBA MVP in the 2000-01 season. He departed in 2006 with the highest scoring average ever in the team's history (28.1), and ranks #2 all-time in points at a whooping 19,583!!

He would then play for the Nuggets, Pistons, and later return to the 76ers.

Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon (January 21, 1963) is a former basketball player. He played the center position in the NBA for the Houston Rockets and the Toronto Raptors (1984-2002). He led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships in 1994 and 1995. In 2008, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and in 2016, he was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. He is considered one of the greatest centers ever to play the game. He was nicknamed “The Dream” during his basketball career after he dunked so effortlessly that his college coach said it “looked like a dream.”

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he was born to Salim and Abike Olajuwon, working-class Yoruba owners of a cement business in Lagos, Nigeria. He traveled from his home country to play for the University of Houston. His college career for the Cougars included three trips to the Final Four. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the first overall selection of the 1984 NBA draft, a draft that included Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton. He combined with Ralph Sampson to form a duo dubbed the “Twin Towers”. The two led the Rockets to the 1986 NBA Finals, where they lost in six games to the Boston Celtics. He became the Rockets’ undisputed leader. He led the league in rebounding twice and blocks three times.

He married Dalia Asafi (1996) and the couple has four children together. He has an older daughter, Abisola, who represented the West Girls in the McDonald’s All-American Game and played in the WNBA. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

POURQUOI VICTOR WEMBANYAMA AURAIT GAGNÉ BEAUCOUP PLUS D'ARGENT IL Y A 30 ANS ?

Si Wemby avait été drafté en 1994 plutôt qu’en 2024, c’est peu dire qu’il aurait touché le pactole...

Décrocher 55 millions de dollars alors que l’on vient tout juste de souffler sa vingtième bougie, beaucoup en rêvent. Pour Victor Wembanyama, c’est une réalité. Pourtant, et bien qu’il ne vienne à l’idée de personne de le plaindre, ce dernier aurait pu empocher beaucoup (beaucoup) plus d’argent s’il était né dans les années 90.

Pensez qu’en 1994, le numéro 1 de la draft Glenn Robinson était passé à deux doigts de signer le premier contrat à 100 millions de dollars de l’histoire du sport professionnel (210 millions de dollars actuels), et ce sans avoir participé à un seul match !

L’engouement autour de sa personne avait d’ailleurs été tel qu’il continue de faire sentir 30 ans plus tard.

Retour sur une séquence qui a changé à jamais la NBA.

« Des comme lui, c’est un par génération. Et encore. »

Ça, c’est ce que répétaient en sourdine tous les scouts NBA au sujet de Glenn Robinson dès ses années lycée. Et franchement, au regard de ses performances, il était difficile de leur donner tort.

Né le 10 janvier 1973 à Gary dans l’Indiana (S/O Michael Jackson), si celui que l’on ne surnommait pas encore Big Dog n’a pas débuté avec tous les atouts de son côté (père absent, mère mineure, taux d’homicide de sa ville parmi le plus élevé du pays...), la balle orange lui sauve la vie.

Élu meilleur lycéen des États-Unis en 1991 (25,6 points, 14,6 rebonds et 3,8 contres de moyenne !), il remporte au poste d’ailier toutes les distinctions individuelles possibles et imaginables (Indiana M. Basketball, McDonald’s All American, MVP de l’US Olympic Festival...). Attendu comme le Messie à l’université de Purdue (il a fait le choix de rester au pays), Glenn Robinson doit malheureusement faire l’impasse sur son année de freshman pour cause de résultats scolaires insuffisants.

Qu’importe, après une saison passée à regarder ses coéquipiers en tribune et bosser ses notes, il confirme tous les espoirs placés en lui en sophomore (24,1 points, 9,2 rebonds), puis déchaîne les enfers en junior en plantant 30,3 points par match (meilleure moyenne de l’année, personne n’a fait mieux depuis) assortis de 11,2 rebonds.

Objet de tous les superlatifs (« homme parmi les enfants » pour reprendre les mots du coach Lefty Driesell), Glenn Robinson décide alors de sauter dans le grand bain de la NBA sans terminer son cursus NCAA.

Habillé le jour de la draft d’un costume doré qui annonce clairement la couleur, malgré une cuvée 1994 relevée (Jason Kidd et Grant Hill sont également de la partie), les Milwaukee Bucks le sélectionnent comme une évidence en première position, convaincus de réaliser le coup du siècle.

100 millions sinon rien

Aussi surprenant que cela puisse paraître, à cette époque, aucune règle n’encadre les contrats entre rookies et franchises. La durée, le montant, les primes, les options, les garanties... tout est laissé à la discrétion des intéressés, à la seule condition qu’un accord soit trouvé avant la fin de la saison – si tel n’était pas le cas (fait rarissime), le rookie retente alors sa chance à la prochaine draft comme si de rien n’était.

Tandis que jusqu’au début des années 90, les négociations se déroulent sans accroc, la popularité nouvelle de la NBA couplée à une hausse significative des revenus incitent les futures stars de la NBA (et leurs agents) à se montrer plus gourmands

Réticents à l’idée de s’engager à long terme avant même d’avoir achevé leur plein potentiel (dix ans plus tôt, Michael Jordan avait par exemple accepté un très modeste 6,3 millions de dollars sur sept ans avec les Chicago Bulls), conscients de leur valeur aux yeux d’équipes de bas de tableau pour qui les premiers tours de draft constituent le seul espoir de renouer avec l’élite, ils imposent un nouveau rapport de force.

En 1992, c’est Jim Jackson, cinquième choix de draft, qui n’hésite pas à manquer les 54 premiers matchs de la saison pour faire plier les Dallas Mavericks. En 1993, c’est Shaquille O'Neal qui arrache 17,4 millions de dollars aux Orlando Magic pour quatre ans.

Sûr de son fait, Glenn Robinson débarque ainsi dans le Wisconsin avec un plan bien arrêté : obtenir 100 millions de dollars pour 13 ans. Ni plus, ni moins.

À Milwaukee, c’est la stupeur.

À titre de comparaison, Robinson demande à l’instant T plus que le joueur le mieux payé de la ligue – Larry Johnson, All-Star certifié, 84 millions de dollars sur 12 ans avec les Charlotte Hornets.

Le Big Dog n’en démord cependant pas. Déterminé à faire exploser les compteurs, il refuse de participer au training camp, puis zappe carrément les matchs de pré-saison.

Le couteau sous la gorge à moins de trois semaines du début de la saison régulière, les Bucks organise le 17 octobre une improbable conférence de presse au cours de laquelle le staff admet, penaud, que Robinson a décliné une offre à 60 millions de dollars.

L’histoire ne dit pas s’il s’agissait là de lui mettre la pression en le faisant passer aux yeux du grand public pour le grand méchant, mais la stratégie fonctionne. Le 4 novembre 1994, 24 heures avant le premier match officiel des Bucks, les deux parties parachèvent un accord à 68 millions de dollars sur 10 ans.

L’honneur est sauf. La carrière professionnelle de Glenn Robinson est lancée.

La goutte d’eau qui fait déborder le vase

Ces 68 millions de dollars (141 millions en dollars constants !) font toutefois très vite tousser. Bien qu’en deçà des espérances de Robinson, ils demeurent en effet inédits dans le monde du basket dans le monde du sport.

Paniqués, les propriétaires de franchise s’imaginent avec effroi les prochains rookies réitérer des exigences aussi folles. Vexés de voir un type de 21 ans à peine engranger des émoluments dix fois supérieurs aux leurs, les vétérans craignent en sus de voir leurs salaires bloqués par cette inflation galopante – salary cap oblige, plus un rookie gagne, moins il reste d’argent disponible pour ses coéquipiers.

La réaction ne se fait pas attendre : sitôt la saison finie, les propriétaires décrètent une grève patronale du 1er juin au 12 septembre. Complices, les hautes instances de la NBA et le principal syndicat de joueurs, le National Basketball Players Association, laissent faire.

Leur objectif ? Plafonner les contrats des rookies.

La manœuvre fonctionne, et, dès la saison suivante, le Collective Bargaining Agreement (la convention collective qui en NBA régit les rapports entre organisations syndicales et employeurs) fixe un barème des salaires pour les nouvelles recrues – on parle de rookie scale.

Fini les négociations, fini les dramas. Tout est désormais planifié en amont.

Et c’est ainsi que le numéro 1 de la draft de 1995, le pauvre Joe Smith, est sommé d’accepter un tout petit deal à 8,4 millions de dollars de la part des Golden State Warriors – oui, c’est 60 millions de moins que Glenn Robinson.

Trois décennies plus tard, nonobstant moult amendements, ce principe continue de prévaloir.

Pour la faire simple, les 30 joueurs sélectionnés au premier tour de draft se voient offrir des contrats de quatre ans. Les deux premières années dudit contrat sont garanties, les troisième et quatrième années sont optionnelles (l’équipe choisit ou non de poursuivre la collaboration).

Une grille de rémunération s’applique ensuite en fonction des revenus générés par la NBA (plus ces revenus sont importants, plus l’enveloppe allouée aux rookies est importante) et de la position à laquelle le joueur a été choisi (plus un rookie a été choisi haut, plus il gagne d’argent).

Une certaine flexibilité est néanmoins admise. Il est d’une part possible de négocier chaque contrat entre 80% et 120% de la valeur proposée (la majorité des joueurs signent pour 120%), et de l’autre, lors de la quatrième et dernière année, il est possible de renégocier sa rémunération en fonction d’un pourcentage indexé sur les gains de la troisième année (petit twist, plus un joueur a été drafté bas, plus ce pourcentage est élevé, ce qui permet en cas de bonnes performances de combler les écarts de salaire avec un joueur drafté plus haut).

Si l’on prend l’exemple de la rémunération à venir des 15 premiers rookies de la dernière loterie, cela donne le tableau ci-dessous (prime à la signature, bonus et avantages inclus).

Bien sûr, pas de quoi verser une larme à la vue des montants proposés, d’autant que le salary cap, et par ricochet la rookie scale, ont drastiquement augmenté depuis Joe Smith (Lebron James a signé pour 18,8 millions de dollars en 2003, Zion Williamson pour 45 millions en 2019...), mais il est acté qu’un joueur NBA ne deviendra vraiment « riche » qu’à compter de son deuxième contrat pro.

Tout ça à cause de Glenn Robinson.

Les Bucks en ont-ils eu pour leur argent ?

Difficile de répondre de manière catégorique.

Auteur d’une première année très correcte (21,9 points, 6,4 rebonds, 2,5 passes), si le titre de Rookie of the year lui est passé sous le nez, deux ans plus tard, Robinson était sélectionné aux Jeux Olympiques d'Atlanta de 1996 avec la Dream Team III (une blessure de dernière minute l’a malencontreusement privé de l’aventure).

All-Star en 2000 et en 2001, brièvement considéré comme MVP de la saison régulière 1998/1999 (1 vote), sur huit saisons passées à Milwaukee, il peut se targuer d’avoir passé la barre des 20 points de moyenne à sept reprises (dont un pic �� 23,4 en 1997/1998).

Collectivement en revanche, le bilan est beaucoup plus mitigé. À l’exception de la saison 2000/2001, où, en compagnie de Ray Allen et Sam Cassell, les Bucks se sont hissés en finale de conférence après avoir remporté la Division Centrale (50 victoires, 32 défaites), la franchise n’a jamais réussi à s’extirper du ventre mou de la ligue.

[La faute à son individualisme en attaque et son m’en-foutisme en défense ?]

Transféré chez les Atlanta Hawks en 2002, puis chez les Philadelphie Sixers l’année d’après, Robinson a remporté un peu malgré lui le titre avec les San Antonio Spurs en 2005 (9 matchs joués en saison régulière, 3,8 points de moyenne en playoffs).

Miné par les blessures à répétition au genou, il a alors aussitôt pris sa retraite – 20,7 points, 6,1 rebonds, 2,7 passes, 1,2 interception en carrière.

Pas de quoi rougir donc, d’autant plus qu’avec les prolongations de contrat il a cumulé 80 millions de dollars de gains (soient presque les 100 millions qu'ils convoitaient tant), mais au regard des espoirs suscités onze ans plus tôt, la déception domine : Glenn Robinson n’a clairement pas été le Michael Jordan qu’il aurait dû être.

Preuve en est, les livres d’histoire se souviennent aujourd’hui plus de lui pour ses exploits en dehors des terrains que sur les terrains.

Joel Hans Embiid, né le 16 mars 1994 à Yaoundé au Cameroun, est un joueur camerounais de basket-ball évoluant au poste de pivot. Depuis 2022, il détient également les nationalités française et américaine. Embiid est né à Yaoundé, au Cameroun. Son père, Thomas Embiid, est handballeur et colonel de l'armée camerounaise. Sa mère, Christine, est femme au foyer. Joel n'avait jamais envisagé une carrière dans le basket-ball professionnel, encore moins aux États-Unis. Son destin semblait plutôt prédestiné à une carrière de joueur de volley-ball. En effet, son père, qui souhaitait voir son fils progresser dans le volley-ball professionnel en Europe, estimait que le basket-ball était un sport dangereux, et que ça pourrait le blesser et impacter une potentielle future carrière de volleyeur. À l'âge de 15 ans, Joel Embiid découvre le basket-ball. Ayant été pris de passion après avoir visionné des DVD de matchs de joueurs tels que Hakeem Olajuwon, Joel décide de se mettre à la pratique. Bien que son père ait initialement refusé, il finit par donner son autorisation après avoir été convaincu par l'un de ses oncles. Joel est repéré pour la première fois lors d'un camp de basket-ball organisé par le joueur camerounais de NBA, Luc Mbah a Moute. C'est aussi la première fois qu'il dispute un vrai match. Rapidement détecté par son compatriote, Joel Embiid déménage aux États-Unis à l'âge de 16 ans afin de se consacrer entièrement à sa carrière. Classé sixième meilleur joueur de la promotion 2013, Joel Embiid est formé à Gainesville en Floride et tournait à 13 points, 10 rebonds et 2 contres de moyenne en 2012-2013. En janvier 2014, il est prédit comme futur numéro un de la draft 2014 de la NBA mais envisage de rester en NCAA encore une ou plusieurs saisons pour progresser Lors de la saison 2021-2022, il termine pour la première fois de sa carrière meilleur marqueur de la ligue avec (30,6) points de moyenne. Il devient ainsi le premier joueur non-américain à gagner cette distinction et le premier pivot depuis Shaquille O'Neal en 1999-2000. Embiid termine deuxième au titre de MVP, derrière Nikola Jokić des Nuggets de Denver. À la fin de la saison 2021-2022, Embiid termine deuxième au titre de MVP, remporté de nouveau par Nikola Jokić. Les Sixers se qualifient pour les playoffs 2022 mais Embiid se déchire un ligament du pouce droit au premier tour face aux Raptors de Toronto (victoire 4-2 dans la série). Embiid continue à jouer et doit se faire opérer une fois la saison terminée. Lors de la même série, Embiid souffre d'une commotion cérébrale et d'une fracture de l'os frontal au niveau de l'orbite droite[38]. Les Sixers sont éliminés au tour suivant (4-2) par le Heat de Miami. Embiid se fait opérer du pouce droit en mai. Le 13 novembre 2022, dans une victoire face au Jazz de l'Utah, il inscrit 59 points, prend 11 rebonds, réalise 8 passes décisives et 7 contres pour devenir le premier joueur de l'histoire à compiler plus de 50 points, 10 rebonds, 5 passes et 5 contres sur un match. À la fin de la saison 2022-2023, il termine meilleur marqueur de la saison régulière avec 33,1 points de moyenne par match. Il mène son équipe vers un balayage de la première ronde contre les Nets de Brooklyn. Les 76ers de Philadelphie affronteront les Celtics de Boston lors du deuxième tour. La série commencera le 1er mai 2023. Hace 29 años se lanzó NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (comúnmente referido como NBA Jam: T.E.). Fue originalmente lanzado en arcades. T.E. incluye roster actualizado, nuevos elementos e easter eggs, combinado con el mismo gameplay del original. Jon Hey creó nueva música específicamente para T.E. para reemplazar a la del original NBA Jam. Los equipos ahora consisten de 3 jugadores (aunque solo dos pueden estar en cancha; en práctica, el jugador extra significó variedad de lineups), aunque con la excepción del nuevo equipo de “novatos”, que consiste de 5 jugadores, todos del draft de la NBA de 1994. Los jugadores pueden ser sustituidos entre cuartos.

Both contests will be held on the Hartford Campus of Trinity College at the Koeppel Community Center. The arena serves as the Wolf Pack's off-site training facility for practice sessions for a second straight season. The first of the two games will be on Wednesday, October 4th, in the first of many meetings with the Pack's I-91 rivals, the Springfield Thunderbirds. The puck drop will be at 7:00 p.m. Then, game two will be the backside of a home-and-home with the Bridgeport Islanders, who will play under new head coach Rick Kowalsky, who has ex-Pack Pascal Rheaume as one of his assistants. That game will be on Saturday, October 7th, at 1:00 p.m. Sandwiched between those two games, early in the afternoon on Thursday, October 5th, will be the front end of the home-and-home with the Islanders in Bridgeport, which will be closed to the public. OTHER NEWS Bridgeport officially announced what Howlings first reported: a new one-year AHL deal with now-ex-Pack Tanner Fritz. He returns to "Park City," where he spent the first six years of his career. Fritz played collegiately at Ohio State when the Buckeyes were in the CCHA before moving to the Big 10. Over 20 years ago, the New Haven Ravens Double-A baseball team disbanded. Their announcer from 1994-1995, Matt Devlin, is now part of the voice of the NBA Toronto Raptors. The hockey connection? Devlin's two sons will play Ivy League Division-I hockey this year. Ian Devlin, 21, went undrafted after playing with the Coquitlam Express (BCHL) in 2021-22. He's joining the Princeton Tigers (ECACHL). Luke Devlin, 19, is a 2021 sixth-round Pittsburgh Penguins draft choice. He played with the West Kelowna Warriors (BCHL) last season and will be skating in Ithaca, NY, for his freshmen season. The youngest Devlin will lace them up with the Cornell University Big Red (ECACHL). Speaking of Cornell, the school's top star from the last century, NHL Hall of Famer, and legendary Montreal Canadien, Ken Dryden will see his grandson, Hunter Dryden, skating for a prep school in the Nutmeg State this year. Hunter is a Fairfield, CT, resident who played for the CT Jr. Rangers U-15 program. This winter, he will play at the defending New England small school champion Taft School (Watertown). He will try to fill the big skates of the now-departed Detroit Red Wing draft pick and Yale University-bound (next year) Rudy Guimond. Guimond will skate for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL. Jacques Dominique Wilkins (January 12, 1960) is a former professional basketball player who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks. He was a nine-time NBA All-Star, a seven-time All-NBA Team member, and is viewed as one of the most acrobatic slam dunkers in NBA history, earning the nickname “the Human Highlight Film”. He led the NBA in scoring (1985–86). In 2006, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He was born in Paris while his father was stationed there as an airman in the Air Force. He has a younger brother, Gerald Wilkins, who played in the NBA, mainly for the New York Knicks. His family moved to Dallas and Baltimore before settling in Washington, North Carolina, where he attended Washington High School.

He entered the University of Georgia with a reputation as an exciting player and left as the “Human Highlight Film”. He averaged 21.6 points a game over his Bulldogs career and was named SEC Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. Likely to go as one of the very top picks of the 1982 NBA Draft, he left college after his junior year.

Minnesota Timberwolves Acquire Draft Rights of Zeljko Rebraca

On June 29th, 1994, the Seattle SuperSonics traded the draft rights of Zeljko Rebraca to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 1996 second round draft pick (Joseph Blair).

The 1994 NBA Draft was the center of superstar trade drama. The Seattle Supersonics and Chicago Bulls flirted with the possibility of altering their DNA by swapping Shawn Kemp and Scottie Pippen. Though the deal never came to fruition, Seattle wasn’t done dealing.

Owning the last pick in the draft, Seattle decided to deal the pick for future compensation. The Minnesota Timberwolves had explored acquiring a late second round pick to take the drafting rights of Zeljko Rebraca. From Serbia, Rebraca had established himself as a young and athletic prospect playing overseas for Partizan Belgrade in Serbia.

Minnesota reached out to several teams about acquiring a pick to take Rebraca, and the Sonics were the one team that accepted the deal. Seattle selected Rebraca for Minnesota, dealt his rights to the Timberwolves and acquired a 1996 second round pick from Minnesota in the deal. Rebraca had multiple years on his contract with Partizan Belgrade which meant he was a draft and stash player.

Rebraca never played for the Wolves. His draft rights were dealt to the Toronto Raptors in a three-team deal with the Denver Nuggets in 1999. Rebraca’s rights were dealt once again in 2001 to the Detroit Pistons where he ended up making his NBA debut.

The draft pick that Seattle acquired from the Timberwolves became the 35th pick of the 1996 NBA Draft. Seattle used the pick on forward Joseph Blair from the University of Arizona. Blair didn’t play much for the Sonics in Summer League and after Seattle committed to center Jim McIlvaine, Blair decided to play overseas.

Blair went on to sign with Pau-Orthez of the French League. Though he never played an official NBA game — Blair had a brief stint in 2007 training camp with the Chicago Bulls — Blair’s professional basketball career spanned 13 years, playing overseas in Russia and Greece. He even had two stints with the Harlem Globetrotters.

5 Classic Shoes That Michigans Fab Five Wore

Air Jordan IX

The Fab Five wore alot of icon shoes during their run, but we start the list off with a classic Air Jordan. Obviously Michael Jordan would have been the first person wearing these in the NBA, had he not retired in the fall of 1993. The first NCAA player to wear the famous Air Jordan IXs was none other than Michigan point guard Jalen Rose. Chris Webber had just been drafted number #1 in the NBA draft, and it was Rose’s time to shine and lead the wolverines. What better way to take the lead role than with a new pair of Jordans no one else had.

Nike Air Command Force 180

AKA The Billy Hoyles. Technically, Webber did not wear the Billy Hoyles while a Michigan Wolverine (although it actually would have matched the jersey nicely). Webber did however, wear these shoes while a senior at Detroit Country Day during the days Steve Fisher was recruiting him. These shoes were the highest retail priced shoe in the market, and only the biggest big ballers could afford them. Webber was an All-American his senior year and one of the greatest high school power forwards that played high school ball in the 90s. There really was no better shoe that suited him.

Nike Air Huarache

In the last 19 years of the shoes’ history, a lot of famous players have worn one of the many the Nike AIr Huarache models. Kobe Bryant did, Scottie Pippen did, Reggie Miller did, John Startks did and a number of other NBA greats. No player or moment though was bigger in 1992, then when a group of five fabulous freshman took the court in the 1992 March Madness tournament. Everyone that was watching the tourney was watching those freshman, and guess what they had on their feet: Nike Air Huaraches. And Nike had nothing to do it.

Nike Air Max 180

The Fab Five brought out the short black ankle socks (a trend that began with them) to match these Nike Air Max 180s. The Fab Five wore these during their second Final Four appearance in 1993, and was the shoe that Chris Webber was wearing at the time of his famous time out call when they did not have any timeouts available. A classic 1990s basketball worn by Charles Barkley, Will Smith and others has been so popular over the years that it has been retroed multiple times over.

Nike Air Flight Maestro

Another early 90s classic. In case you forgot, the second version of this shoe, an all red model was worn by Scottie Pippen in the 1994 NBA All Star Game in which he also won the MVP. These are the first model and a pair that the Fab Five wore during the 1992-1993 season. Pippen also loved shoe and wore them during a bunch of Chicago Bulls games in 1993. In 1992, these looked dope, and now in 2021, these still look just as dope.
