ALTHEA REPRESENTS THE SCHOOL MID-YEAR AND YEAR-END DEPED ONLINE ASSESSMENT Monday, May 10, 2021, I went to Althea's school. I spoke to their new principal Ms. Ma. Cristina Bayog. Bayog said, the Navotas Elementary School-1 (NES-1) in Navotas City, will choose two students to represent it for the so-called mid-year assessment that will be conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) inline with the online teaching that is currently happening now because of the pandemic. Althea is also part of the year-end assessment including 5 more students who will represent NES-1 in the National Capital Region (NCR) and even in the whole Philippines in the Elementary level. As a parent of Althea, my eldest, more than the opportunity, we look at it as a privilege. Eventhough the teaching method from face-to-face changes to modular or online teaching now, Althea strives to study harder not only to comply with school the requirements but also to learn even more.
