#madremonte13sale Diné /Navajo Turquoise and Coral Lucky Sky Cuff Regular Price $155 SALE PRICE $85 Shipping in the US included. (Ask about overseas shipping.) Sale pricing good until Midnight Pacific Time Sunday April 5th 2020. Another sweet vintage piece. This style of chip inlay was invented by Diné silversmith Tommy Singer in the Sixties. It became extremely popular for about 20 years. Many Diné artists followed the trend. This one is most likely from the 1970's. The symbols on it tell a story of the sun and the rain (the sun is for stability and happiness and the rain is for good fortune) and warding off evil/negative spirits. It is made to give the wearer luck and bright prospects. The combination of Turquoise and Coral is calming, joyful, and an excellent combination for seeing the best in every situation, so a great partner to the symbols in this piece. Hallmarked with a stylized thunderbird or peyote bird. No Sterling stamp, but it tests as sterling. Very wearable and easy to stack with other cuffs. It can be molded a bit to fit the wrist. My wrist is 6 1/4 and it fits me perfectly without adjustment. Could go up or down a bit with no issue. 1/2 inch wide. Over 20 grams. #tommysinger #navajoinlay #diné #vintagejewelry #vintageturquoise #joy #vintageinlay #goodprospects #vintagenavajojewelry #calm #1970sfashion #1970sjewelry #happiness #epoxyresin #turquoiseandcoral https://www.instagram.com/p/B-XpGlynIhj/?igshid=1hrzuy2je3uoi

Won these in an auction for $25 bucks usd under the search term, “Southwest Watch”, with no other bids over mine. Chances are it was posted online from an estate sale from someone who didn’t know what they were selling! Happens 1-2 times a year for me where I make a steal of a score. I suspect these greenish stones are #CerrillosTuruoise from New Mexico and this is a unique example of what I suspect is #NavajoInlay! This was covered in heavy oxidation capped with sticky goo that smelled like aged cigar smoke!? The first round of cleanup was heavy tooth brushing along with Crest Charcoal Activating Toothpaste. Now onto 1500 grit, then 2000 grit sandpaper and onto a polishing cloth after! I love these tips! #southwestart #navajosilversmithing #dinésilversmith #diné #navajowatchband #nativeamericanjewelry #nativejewelry https://www.instagram.com/p/CSAGvE1pPFk/?utm_medium=tumblr

While I was out in #Albuquerque, I traded some old Zuni Inlay watch bands I had for ten years for these Navajo Inlay ones who’s design and style I had never encountered. Then, when I got home, I went to my grandfather’s old stone quarry and worked out a load of obsidian to trade with Todd at the Zion Prospector in Springdale, Utah. He wanted to do trade instead of paying cash on some of the obsidian and so we bartered. This amazing and authentic Meteorite Watchface from @StarbornCreations is a result of that trade and it matches well with half century old #NavajoInlay #WatchTips... . #navajojewelry #diné #turquoise #meteoritewatch #southwestart #vintagejewelry (at Cedar City, Utah)
