Another Baby Ear shell; so I glad I grabbed every one I saw off the beach 😄. I made the crisp lines of the swirl using liquid latex and enamel paints. This is a Baby Ear shell, which when I found that out I laughed because it suits it so well. I marbled the surface with enamel paints, then buffed in iridescent flakes over the surface. The inside has a mix of UV powder and resin, and the entire pendant is glazed with resin to protect the design and lend strength to the shell. It my favourite little thing to wear right now! A very simple to make scallop shell necklace. The natural colours of it was too pretty to cover up with enamel paints, so I added a cluster of pearls instead. I found this beautiful clam shell on the beach but unfortunately not before somebody sTEpPeD oN iT. >:( Luckily it was a clean enough crack that it only broke in two so I was able to fix it back together with resin. The crack wasn’t easily concealed though so I decided to make it a feature and paint gold alcohol ink on it. I have no idea what the sea shell is scientifically called, aside from “spiral seashell”. I used to perceive finding broken or damaged shells on the beach disappointing, but I realised a little while later it meant I could decorate the inside!
