i think its funny how mnay of the things he does when he was out in the wastes by himself seem to be self punishment for no real reason until he at some point goes wait. this is stupid. ive got bigger problems rn. and i think its at <- that point that he goes to find them again.

#because i do think for a while out there death would still kind of seem like a thing that happens to Other People #and in my mind he wouldve been just a little too stupid and arrogant and gotten a little too close and been like okay.#lets take this seriously now. and when youre focusing that hard on Not Dying you kind of forget about keeping yourself away from people for #stupid self loathing reasons. and also being alive out there means hurting people and not flinching about it so i think it would just shed #naturally esp after he starts working for jq because well. this is his greatest asset out here.#and at some point it becomes obvious annie isnt going anywhere. and im sure hes heard weird rumors about what they get up to vis a vis #'weird mutant guy' activities bcz i imagine theyd have to come into town for supplies every once in a while. so its just like well #whats the point in not. having what he wants. when he wants something these days he just takes it. so. idk.#🐟
