İZMİR (İGFA) – Ege Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı İhracatçıları Birliği’nin organize ettiği “Sektörel Ticaret Heyeti”ne Türk sofralık zeytin ve zeytinyağı sektöründen 12 güçlü firma katıldı. Türk zeytincilik sektörü, ABD pazarında yüzde 10’luk pay hedefliyor.
Greater Irnive Ticaret Odası ziyaretiyle ABD programına başlayan EZZİB Heyeti, toptan, perakende zeytin ve zeytinyağı ticareti yapan Costco, Trader Joe’s, Sporuts Farmers Market, Ralph’s Supermarket ve Gelson’s Supermarketi ziyaret etti.

ABD’nin en büyük doğal ve organik gıda fuarlarından biri olan ve Türkiye Milli Katılım Organizasyonu Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri’nce yapılan Natural Products Expo West Fuarı’nı ziyaret ettikleri bilgisini veren Ege Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı İhracatçıları Birliği Başkanı Emre Uygun, fuarda zeytin ve zeytinyağı sektör trendleri ve ABD’de doğal gıdalara olan talep hakkında incelemeler yaptıklarını dile getirdi.
Natural Products Expo West Fuarı’nda Türkiye’nin Los Angeles Başkonsolosu Sinan Kuzum ile de bir araya geldikleri bilgisini veren Uygun, “6 Mart 2025 tarihinde Anaheim’daki Sheraton Park Hotel’de düzenlenen ikili iş görüşmeleri (B2B) kapsamında ABD’nin farklı eyaletlerinden gelen 45 firma ve 63 sektör temsilcisiyle 160’ın üzerinde iş görüşmesi gerçekleştirdiklerini anlattı.
Türkiye’nin son 20 yılda zeytincilik sektörüne büyük yatırım yaptığının altını çizen EZZİB Başkanı Emre Uygun şöyle devam etti: “Sofralık zeytin rekoltemiz 750 bin tona ulaştı ve dünya birincisi konumuna geldik. Zeytinyağı rekoltemiz ise; 475 bin tonluk rekolteye ulaştık. Sofralık zeytin ve zeytinyağı rekoltesindeki artışın katma değere dönüşmesi için pazarlamaya yoğunlaşmamız gerekiyor. ABD bu anlamda en önemli pazarların başında geliyor. Türkiye, 2023/24 sezonunda Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ne 199,5 milyon dolarlık zeytinyağı ve 16 milyon dolarlık sofralık zeytin ihraç etmişti. Yıllık zeytin ve zeytinyağı ithalatı 4 milyar dolara ulaşan ABD pazarında yüzde 10 pay almayı hedefliyoruz.”
