okay so it’s been like. ten years since I’ve read this but it’s a gen series that’s 8 volumes (33 chapters) about heated drama between high school gals who have one goal: to beat the shit out of each other. if you want a series about gals with the same energy as shounen (INCLUDING the homoeroticism) this is THE series to read. the main character is such a bastard look at her

there’s also a lot of adult women who are in the mma scene, which is cool; the manga addresses some of the struggles involved with that. I can’t think of any warnings or caveats off the top of my head, I’m sure there were some writing things I was more lukewarm on but I don’t remember anything egregious. again though it’s been literally a decade since I’ve read it lol

I'm not normal about Teppuu in general. Best sports manga in the world ever. It was so good the genre was never the same for me and I couldn't ever get into anything else because it wasn't as Made For Me as Teppuu was.

I hate Lore Olympus with a passion because it was such a sanitised pseudo-feminist usamerican retelling of such an important tale to ancient Greek women BUT Minthe was AN AMAZING CHARACTER and I know in my heart of hearts that it was ENTIRELY ACCIDENTAL Rachel Smyth gave her realistic class trauma and realistic, disruptive mental illnesses that actually hindered her ability to form healthy relationships by accident, but I still loved arguing with my whole chest about how fans didn't understand her and how she WAS justified in some of her actions on Instagram lmfao

Too bad her arch finished lazily like that though. I'm still hate reading Lore Olympus on the side (Artemis is getting interesting) but the writing is just so bad. God it's so bad.
