A reason why I love "Slice of life" type anime so much or anything that involves watching sceneries and people at some point, which really saddens me when people complain there's nothing happening in those and they are just boring.

That's exactly the point. Not to be boring of course. But to have your mind rest, being soothed by a stress and stimulation free environment, which will allow you to escape and daydream.

You don't need to have your brain being constantly put in the wringer all the time.

I find more significant and impactful to see an elderly and a young walking through what is the remnants of a warzone and telling about it, instead of absolutely watching the war scene itself. Imagination can do it perfectly on its own.

It's clear as a day when an author had a life before putting down into their creation instead of just copy pasting prompts. Because each person has their own life perception. Their own imagination. Their own escapism.
