“At first the elephant tried to shake off the awful thing. It seemed so obviously abhorrent to have an ugly lump like that on its hinder. It would no more tolerate the orange freak then Kipling’s Elephant Hathi would allow Disney’s King Louie to mount his back. But then the elephant realized it was slowly growing attached to the grotesquerie. There was something uncanny about it. In a way it showed the elephant his own true face, the dark side of its “moon”. The elephant washed the filthy interloper and when the orange clay had dispersed, a bright shiny pink face had taken its place. It belched gas and shit and prolapsed the elephant’s anus but miraculously, the pachyderm found its followers didn’t seem to mind, in fact, they marveled at the new face of the elephant! They urged the beast to show this new face as the REAL face of the pachyderm. They wanted him to “show his ass”. They liked his previously hidden, secret side and they reveled in the ugliness of the rump, its words and its appended wrinkly “teabags”. His followers merged the letter “T” from tea-bag with the word “rump” creating an elegant elephantine sound! It was the sound of a trumpeting elephant trunk and the sound that the ass-mouth made when it flapped open and closed! “Trump! Trump! Trump,” They cried! And so the happily ignoble pachyderm found itself led by its own ass, walking ever backward, further and further, until it was walking into the past itself!
