Honoring John Coltrane's 95th birthday, let us not forget his relationship with the Equinox: it is the moment at which the center of the visible Sun is directly above the Earth's equator.   On September 22, 2016, we presented an amazing Equinox concert at Conwell Dance Theater of Temple University. The concert featured an all star band with Alfie Pollitt - piano / music director, Steve Beskrone – bass, Alan Nelson – drums, Pete Chavez, Victor North, Nasir Dickerson & Bobby Zankel – saxophones, Vince Turnbull – trumpet & Dan Blacksburg – trombone.
