💨 narcos fanfic sprint-a-thon! 💨

this Saturday, like every Saturday, there will be a Narcos and Narcos Mexico writing event at 4pm EST in the Narcos fandom Discord chat. But this time, instead of discussing WIPs, we’re going to be sprinting! A sprint is a concentrated period of time, usually around 20 minutes, during which participants completely focus on their writing. The shared energy and encouragement in between sprints should help us stick to it and really get shit done. Anyone and everyone 18+ is welcome! 💨

The Narcos Fandom Forever discord server is introducing a month-long challenge, the Narcos October Prompts, which is open to fan creators for both the OG Narcos and Narcos MX TV shows.

Creators of all kinds are encouraged to make all types of fanworks! Fic, art, gifs, vids, and other miscellaneous fanworks are all welcome. 

Each fanwork must be published on the day that corresponds to the prompt. There are two prompts for each day of the month, and you can choose which you prefer.

For example, you can post a fanwork inspired by the Day 7 prompt “Blackout” on October 7. If you create something late, you can publish it on the amnesty day, which is October 30.

Make something centered around non-death dark topics (we have a specific death day already). Morally or emotionally dark topics/themes.

October 8 — Day of Light

A day of pure fluff: anything insanely, unambiguously, self-indulgently, luxuriously enjoyable.

One-word prompt: Sunrise.

October 9 — Day of Gay

Create anything devoted to an LGBTQ+ character. This can be your headcanon, but if you want a canon gay character, Pacho and his boyfriends are canonically gay. Also, one of Pacho’s biker lady criminals is played by a trans actress.

Create anything with a queer and/or trans original character or reader insert.

October 10 — Day of Tough Shit

Write a fic whose exact wordcount is divisible by 500 (500, 1000, 1500, etc).

Make a fanwork in a medium you’ve never used before. If you make GIFs, write something. If you write, draw. Etc. As long as it’s uncharted territory for you!

The first character I first fell in love with: Amado

I fell for this tall drink of water on day 1. Yes, he still has a chokehold on me. That’s my man right there.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Walt!

I was already a Scoot fan going in. Not only that, I’ve always had this little unexplainable crush on him. So going into this, I was excited to see him, excited to see his role, but never knew I’d love (and want to slap sense into him) as much as I do. I wanna hug him, shake him, then make him dinner. 😂

Honorary mention: Smash & Grab crew 2.0. Those are my boys, like, I had no idea they would become so important to me. They are not side characters to me. Though I already wrote a fic featuring them, I want to write another cause I love that group so much. Especially Ossie and Sal.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: 

Hmm, I don’t know. I think I like or don’t mind most popular characters…can’t think of one I hate. I’ll have to come back to this.

I can say who I didn’t care for, like whenever they were on screen I was like ‘meh’: Kitty, Andrea and Mimi, plus those annoying brothers, the rich kids.

If we go canon, I thought Kiki x Mika were cute. I adored Victor x Tenci. I also liked the short lived Dani x Walt (still mad at him for throwing that away but I just imagine she’s happy and with a better suited partner). Oh Min and his wife of course, so cute.

Oh and though I didn’t like the season as a whole and I was disappointed, I really loved Amado and Marta. I was rooting for them. In my mind he got away & they lived a happy chill life. Go be happy bbs.

the narcos mexico fandom is 94% chill so fucking chill that i've never received direct hate and harassment for being interested in/wanting to fuck some of the characters there that are known for selling drugs, killing people (including innocent ones), money laundering, racketeering and worst chaotic things than whatever billy hargrove did.

yet i've received death wishes, ageism, homophobia acusations, fatphobic insults and SA wishes by this crappy cheap writen show sick in the head fanbase. i never got any of this particular hatred and prejudice from people of the other said show.

Headcanons for Jeff the Killer

Starting off strong with the fandom's favorite boyfriend.

In my AU, Jeff is Mexican. He was born in the State of Mexico, son of an American father and a Mexican mother, they all lived a pretty nice live until Liu was born. Things went tense as the father saw that Liu didn't resemble him at all, and it all exploted when the mother confessed that he was product of an affair with a Chinese man and everything went downhill. The father lost his job and started slacking off, leaving the mom working herself off to keep the house clean and the mouths fed, they started having trouble with money and fights were more common. While Liu and Jeff were ignorant to most of it as they were still children, Jeff still had to take care of most of Liu's needs very early on his life since their mother would be very drained due to all her overworking.

It is noted that Jeff's dad favored him a lot, he gave him lots of attention and tried to influence him because he considered him his "real son". As for Liu, he was overlooked by both of his parents, his father because he's product of his wife's affair and he's still obligated to "provide" for him (even though he's pretty much a dead beat) and his mom because he's a constant reminder of what she did and how their family fell down because of him. Liu did had it pretty rough as he was neglected by both sides except by his brother- most of the time since he chased after his dad's attention a lot (which led him to get into alcohol and smoking at a pretty young age).

Jeff did eventually realized how his father was as he grew up and had to take care of more and more chores that his mother and brother could not. And it was a pretty tough pill to swallow because he always viewed him as his hero, especially since his father started losing interest on him the more he grew up.

Things didn't got easy with his mom either with his weird interests. He caught an interest on the emo and punketo cultures many kids were flashing all over and picked up the fashion and music, his mother was a raging catholic and was absolutely against all of this. There were also other people who would often pick on him for his looks and interests. And since he was most of his time taking care of the house and his brother he didn't have much friends. Liu did support him though, the two brothers actually grew to be pretty close and managed to keep a healthy relationship despite their parents.

Outside the house things weren't better either. Jeff didn't have a good reputation or many friends due to his way of dressing and acting, and Liu wasn't aloud outside most of the time because it was a pretty dangerous neighborhood where they lived in. Especially with Randy's gang roaming around.

See, Randy is the biggest change in this story, as he is the son of a narco that settled near Jeff's neighborhood. Him and his dad are the reason why the streets went from bad to bad, it is pretty normal to see dead people laying around and witness kidnappings and muggings. Only if you join the cartel and hang out in Randy's circle you can get some level of protection, but you'll still have to work to keep it.

Jeff, as a skinny emo boy, was target of harassment and cruel pranks by Randy and co. He started to keep knives and other stuff in his pockets for self defense and got himself into a lot of fights. It low-key became his entertainment, he started getting excited over punching and bleeding, it became his way of "letting it all out" after seeing his father do the same, but he still tried to get himself together for his brother's sake.

The story goes the same as ever, only it's set on the streets of Ecatepec instead of a Middle School on Alabama. The family was invited to a birthday party, Randy crashes the place and picks up a fight with Jeff, they set him on fire and people call the cops and an ambulance.

Jeff stayed in the hospital for a couple of weeks since his body was full of second and third degree burns, his family didn't visit him often so he had a lot of time with himself. Sometimes the staff would sent him to hang out with other patients his age so he's not alone all the time, but he would be cruel and scare them a lot, he'd start many fights and injure many kids. He was sent to his house earlier than he was supposed to due to all the problems he'd make.

He was glad he could see Liu again and be in his own place, but he was still very mad about what happened and very upset with his parents. Things kind of went back to normal aside from weird looks and many many off comments from people trying to give Jeff some comfort, but the biggest change was Jeff- obviously. He was way more open and upbeat, it was weird for Liu, but he was glad that his brother seemed to be taking this a good way, however Jeff's confidence started to turn into ego, he kept using the excuse of being burnt alive and was more snappy at people, he wasn't afraid to get into more and more trouble and started coming back to the house bruised and bloody.

This was the subject of many fights he started to have with his parents and his parents had with each other. Violence seemed to be consuming the family, Liu and Jeff started witnessing their dad hitting their mom and Liu was often his mom's target when Jeff wasn't around.

During a fight with his parents, his father started arguing with his mom and went and hit her, Jeff jumped between them to defend his mom and started fighting with his dad. Quickly getting the upper hand as he let himself lose his mind and his dad couldn't keep up slowly loosing consciousness until he died, his mom freaked out and tried to break it off but Jeff went after her. Her screaming alerted Liu who came up to see what was happening only to witness his brother murdering their parents, they started a chase until Jeff caught up to him and did the same in the heat of the moment.

It wasn't until he calmed down when he realized what he had done. But sirens were heard not too far, apparently the screams alerted the neighbors too and called the cops. He had to run.

He took what he thought would be necessary: a hoodie, a knife and some money. And he escaped. He hid inside a public bathroom on a park and proceeded to have his mental breakdown. And he hated that, he hated what he did, he hated what happened to him, he hated himself, but he also hated this feeling. He tried all he could to not feel this way, lying to himself saying that they deserved it, that it wasn't his fault. He tried so hard to convince himself that he feels great that he slitted his cheeks to form a permanent smile.

After a series of maniacal laughter he managed to drive his mind towards Randy. The one who caused all of this. He was the one to blame in Jeff's eyes, and he started to plan his revenge.

He just got out of the bathroom and started looking for Randy and co on one of the streets they'd always hang out during this times. Once he found them, an encounter started, some bad jokes about Jeff's situation and other threats until Jeff showed off his new "glow up", he took advantage of how startled Randy's friends were to start printing over him and attaching him.

Using his knives and fists, he let out all of his anger on him so fast Randy couldn't even respond. The group tried to get Jeff off of Randy, but the sirens of the police were getting closer, and frankly Randy wasn't that worth it so they scrammed and left Randy at the mercy of Jeff. Once he ran out of fuel he realized the police were at reach and he escaped too, leaving Randy's lifeless body unrecognizable.

Jeff then wandered all over the state, trying to hide from the Cartel and the police all he could while doing his killing and surviving on the streets. He hid alongside homeless communities, on the sewers and on abandoned buildings or houses. Until Slenderman came to him offering a good place to live, with people like him and all the murdering he wanted to do.

Jeff is a narcisist and a sociopath. He's still conscious of his actions when killing, but is very quick to excuse himself. Saying he can't help it or putting the blame on something else, yet does nothing to get better. Never expect him to ask for forgiveness or admit that he's wrong, he will instead tell you that is you who should be sorry and he WILL be petty about it. Jeff has a giant ego and will always make you like him first and then destroy your self-esteem so subtly that you won't notice it was him.

Jeff is a very snarky and egocentric person. He's pretty full of himself and is quick to lash out at people, to which nobody likes to be around him so he's very alienated from the rest of the residents of the mansion. His social skills are top tier though, he has a very charismatic personality and manages to keep things interesting with his bastard ideas and dark humor, so he can find himself hopping from friend group to friend group all over the place and seems to be doing just fine. Though he's mostly with Ticcy Toby or Eyeless Jack since they are the only people who seem to tolerate his attitude. Toby is very easy to manipulate and EJ just doesn't seem to care about anything. And sometimes B.E.N. shows up bc they entertain him.

He takes pride on all of this. He knows he can sneak himself into people's heads long enough that he doesn't get killed and he abuses this skill, bribing and gaslighting anyone all he needs (including victims). Plus, Slenderman is often around and making sure that they don't kill eachother and he's specially protective of Jeff due to his tendency of getting into trouble, everybody thinks its just favoritism since Jeff has the biggest kill-count out of all the human pastas (which is also something he likes to brag about) and Slender often strikes more conversations with him than anyone (even his proxies).

Slenderman does have an eye on him and fixiates a lot on him despite not being a proxy (so yeah- it is favoritism). He considers Jeff a very important piece for his "business" because of his many skills, but he's too... flawed. He is very emotional and impulsive with his actions, often times getting attached to his victims until Slender or someone else has to step in, not to mention how uncooperative he can get. Jeff is pretty easy to manipulate, but very hard to keep in line, so Slender has to be sure that he has an upper hand on his confidence at all times:

Jeff knows people don't like him, not to mention the amount of regret he feels for what he did to his brother. He usually fills his ego to avoid those thoughts, but that's still a weak spot. Slenderman knows this all too well, and absolutely weaponizes these anxieties in favor of Jeff being powerless against him.

Couple of highlights for this guy:

He became the famous serial killer when he was 15, he is currently 20 years old.

He's from Ecatepec. And back in Mexico he was nicknamed "El Risas" (Idk how to translate that but it involves laughter) due to his slitted cheeks.

As a good respected emo he listens religiously to the classics like My Chemical Romance, Set it Off and Paramore. And here are other artists that I think he would like: Hollywood Undead, Metallica, Nirvana, Vete a la Versh, Cenotaph.

Due to his family never being able to pay for a bilingual school or English lessons and his father never bothering to teach him some, he struggles a lot with the language. He did picked up a bunch during his time in the mansion though, he was taught by --- but its still not perfect.

Jeff didn't try to burn down his eyelids, but thanks to the fire his lashes are long gone and he has a very terrible eyesight. He usually wears some black eyeshadow to disguise his scars and because he likes it.

He usually wears a face-mask since he salivates every where and he sneezes a lot bc he also doesn't have a nose either and that makes a mess with his sliced cheeks. He's also a very messy eater and prefers to eat alone or not eat anything in front of other people.

He was homeless for a couple of months, living in the sewers systems of Mexico or some abandoned buildings until Slenderman showed up.

He gets very attached very quickly to a lot of his victims. Not in a romantic sense, more like an obsession. He pretty much stalks that person and "protects" them from other people and the other pastas. This usually ends up in another murder when his advances are rejected and he lashes out (or someone else comes to kill that person), or –if that person is lucky enough– he'd have to leave because Slender told him to go somewhere else.

He doesn't know if Liu is dead or alive anymore since the last he knew about him is that he was in a hospital but was in very bad conditions. He sometimes wishes they could be together at the mansion, but you will bever catch him admitting that.

Kind of a crack headcanon, but Jeff really likes spicy food,but it hurts him to eat it sometimes due to his scars and that makes him really sad.

ALRIGHT. JEFF IS DONE.

The first ask/request is finally done. Omg. I did not actually expect that I would take this long and I would write this much. I was never really into Jeff the Killer, he was pretty much everywhere so he ended up being very boring for me. But MAN, the amount of backstory and character I came up with, and let's not talk about Liu because OOF- I am actually happy that I even got to do something for him because he is the one I was actually interested in.

But here it is anyway. I might tweak some headcanons or not in the future, idk. But I'm glad with what I did. Now off to take another three months to do the next ask.

When I first took notice of Tenoch Huerta, I had no idea his most famous role before Namor was portraying an infamous drug dealer in a Narcos TV spin-off. I never watched that show (still haven’t) but I am so hyper fixated on Tenoch, I did watch all of his scenes on YouTube and salivated over every gif I came across on Tumblr. I lamented here in a post one day that I hadn’t been able to find any fic for the character, and was pointed to this gem.

Rafa the character is fascinating to me – as problematic as I know people may find the distinction fans want to make to separate their regard from the real criminal depicted by Tenoch in the series. It’s something I still question. I don’t care too much for film, TV or media around drugs and crime. My family loves Scarface, I despise it. People will recommend the Godfather, I have never, nor will I ever watch it (some in the industry insist I study it if I want to write movies, but I still refuse). No different with Narcos. So why do I like the “character”? Why am I drawn to him; curious? Why am I attracted?

Tenoch, plain and simple. I have no other way to articulate that thought, as it is shallow: I like the way Tenoch looks and speaks and characterizes Rafa, no deeper than that.

This story, a one-shot, the first I’ve read featuring him, is a Reader and it’s the perfect way to edge into a full blown hyperfixation. It’s my first in the realm of Tenoch’s other roles outside of Namor. It’s well paced, well plotted, well characterized, not too long or bitter, but rather sweet. I find that of the handful of fics I’ve read featuring Rafa, they are mostly tragedies. This one is not. It’s an easy narrative to be swept away by. I am not Afro Latina, or Mexican, and I don’t smoke weed, but I had no trouble reading this as I would “watch” an episode of the TV show, despite it being a “Reader” fic. And since I will probably never actually watch that show, this is good for me.

This is the first fic I read from the author. If you are intrigued by Rafa, here is a way for you to feed your curiosity that doesn’t require payment in angst.

This was the part in the all movies where the person in my position comes to the horrible realization at what he is and what he has to do. So this is like … kinda Barrón and Mín in the universe of Midnight Mass or really like the vampire lore of Midnight Mass applied Narcos Mexico? Anyway, this is just a fun spooky, lil ditty I did. Enjoy Mín finally giving Barrón everything he ever wanted. Spoiler alert: it’s not the eternal life that matters.

Shocked awake, I sat forward sucking in deep, sweeping gusts of air that crackled through my chest, inflating my collapsed lungs. Like they were two dusty, burlap sacks, the air dragged in and out so sharply and painfully I began to cough. My shirt was caked with dust and dried blood that looked almost purple in the orange menace of the pre-dusk sun. I looked down and at the trail my body had made. Must’ve been when they dragged me into the cave.

But I was dead. Dead just then and I knew it. Now I wasn’t though. I came back somehow. Only, I came back wrong.

I remembered little before I died but the commotion at the cafe. Panicked crowd, a few rounds ejected from my gun, as I grabbed Benjamín by the collar of his jacket, screaming, “we gotta go!” and ran toward safety.

Safety. A funny word to describe Ramón and Kitty, two flashily dressed gangsters, semi autos in hand, beckoning to us from the corner where the street met the back alley road, the curb of which the Escalade was parked on. We’d been so close. I’d shoved Mín in front of me and turned around to return fire at the crowd of fatigues surrounding the armored truck across the street, just before I felt the bullet enter my chest. Then another just under my ribs.

The thing no one ever tells you about getting shot? When a projectile traveling at 1700 miles per hour enters the human body, what you feel first is the shock wave. It juggernauts through you, traversing through muscles, tissue, your very cells, so fast and forcefully, the feeling’s more akin to electrocution. It was a miracle my heart was still beating as the ground came up at me, fast, before I sank into the black.

So much for my nine lives.

Shielding my eyes from the stray beams of sun that peeked through the cracks of the cave entrance, I took a lighter from my pocket and lit it turning to face the dark side of the cave and get a better look at who or what might be inside.

Which one of them would’ve done it? Definitely not Ramón. Not enough self-control. I would’ve been an unintended afternoon snack. Hope would suggest Pancho or Dina, but common sense would suggest otherwise. The only one among them who had been at the cafe with the strength and self-restraint to do it without killing me more dead than I already was could only be Benjamín.

And yet, it was hard to imagine him, sour, overly-critical, Motherest-of-Mother-Hens, Mín valuing me enough to offer up eternity, even if he did owe me his life, what with everything I did for them that night at Christine’s. I rolled my eyes. And that was without an immortal advantage.

With a sly undertone of acknowledgment, almost an echo with my disbelief, Mín’s voice rang out from the shadows that clung to the cave walls. “Tus ojos. Se brillan como se supone que deben hacerlo.”

The eyeshine of a cat. How unsettling it had been the first time I’d caught it in Dina’s eyes. Mistook them for headlights in the lamplight of the warehouse parking lot when we were chatting shit some late night, after they’d finished the count. I’d read somewhere, probably in one of the hundreds of books I devoured, trying to fend off brain rot and existential dread in a cell at Donovan, that it was called tapetum lucidum. An extra shiny layer in the eyes of cats and other nocturnal animals that helped them see in the dark.

“What happened?”

“Your ability to maintain your composure under the strangest, most precarious of circumstances never ceases to amaze us.”

It wasn’t altogether clear if Mín was speaking for the family or if there was actually someone else there with us, the place was so dark. But as soon as I opened my mouth to ask, I was doubled over, a jagged pain drilling relentlessly into my gut, tunneling through my chest, all the way up my esophagus and into my throat. My face was close enough to the ground, the breath I expelled violently kicked dust back up into my face. The flame from the lighter snuffed out when it hit the ground next to me.

“Yeah, you’re going to need to remedy that.”

I let out a grim, stuttering chuckle that could’ve been mistaken for the growl of an animal who just felt the hinges give way, the bar of a trap finally slamming down on its neck.

This was the part in the all movies where the person in my position comes to the horrible realization at what he is and what he has to do. The part where they’re supposed to freak out, panic, clam up at the idea of killing as a way of life. But the sick thing? This wasn’t a movie and I felt not an ounce of guilt or fear at the prospect. I’d been taking human life to live for decades now. No sense in an apex predator apologizing for assuming the nature of its design. Shit, it’s not like I made the rules.

A faint skittering sound along the edge of the walls jackhammered my eardrums and before coherent thought could be formed, the soft warmth of light and heaven itself burst into my mouth, soothing the ragged itch at the back of my throat. Blood from some poor, unfortunate little rodent that had made a home in the cool of the cave leaked all over my hands, as I drew from it; hose from a hydrant.

Benjamín stepped off the wall, where he’d been standing for who knows how long and circled me slowly, waiting for me to finish. When the critter’s body finally hit the ground, he clapped a few times, observing, “Pues eso fue fácil, verdad?”

Sighing wearily, “sí, fue tan fácil,” I wiped the blood from my chin with the back of my hand.

Closing the loop, Mín approached me where I sat, still kneeling on the ground over the critter’s carcass, and picked up the lighter. He flicked it open. Light materialized next to his face, the flame illuminating his eyes, activating that telltale glow of Other. That glow which I now apparently shared with him and the rest of the Arellano siblings.

Eyes boring into his, I addressed him direct, “Why exactly am I here, Benjamín,” landing on his first name pointedly. A name I rarely used out of fear, or maybe respect, or maybe just the desire to avoid whatever grief he might be prepared to dish out to me. What was the point now? As far as I was concerned, there was none. Not when we had forever to fight. But Mín didn’t look like he was fixin’ to fight right now.

“I brought you back.”

Annoying. Not really an answer and my face said just as much.

“I brought you back because we cannot afford to lose an asset such as yourself.” Mín continued, gazing into the fire like he was some kind of ancient sorcerer, divining an answer from it, “Por muchas razones y en muchas ocasiones,” then flicked the lighter closed, “ya has demostrado lo que vales demasiado que te perdamos ahorita. And with our enemies outnumbering us, we need more than just soldiers.”

I blinked back at him slowly, almost lazy but with evident curiosity because I had no idea what the fuck he meant and I was starting to get tired and that burning in my throat was kicking up again.

He stood up, dusted off his pants, and walked toward the entrance of the cave, voice bouncing off the stony walls and getting smaller and smaller the further away he got.

“Y’know if I learned anything from my uncle’s hubris, it’s that when your back’s against the wall, the only loyalty guaranteed is that of family. And since I brought you back, the blood in your veins is blood we share.”

Just when he reached the threshold, sky outside now darkened red by the last of the sunset, Mín turned around holding out the lighter in his hand. Extended, as if to summon me. “That is what you are now, Barrón. Family.”

1) How many works do you have on AO3?: i have 270 on AO3, but i know that that is wildly inaccurate because for a while i wasn't crossposting my tumblr fics on there and i haven't taken the time to rectify that 😂 someday i'll go through and count my fics on here again because i'm overdue for that lmao

2) What's your total AO3 word count?: 1,171,311 the way i'm actually floored by this. i need a moment sksks

3) What fandoms do your write for?: i'll try anything once! 😂 nah but i'd say my big Heavy Hitter fandoms are: Sons of Anarchy, Mayans MC, Narcos & Narcos Mexico, Kingsman, The Bear, Marvel, Top Gun: Maverick, Altered Carbon, Suicide Squad, Outer Banks... although i've written for a smattering of other fandoms when the mood strikes 😌

4) Top 5 fics by kudos: this is so so funny to me because my top fics on AO3 are WILDLYYY different than my top fics on tumblr. but i'll still link 'em!

5) Do you respond to comments?: yes! real talk i'm much better about this on ao3 than tumblr just because it's easier on that platform. however now that i can reply from my sideblog here on tumblr i've been trying to stay more on top of replying 🫡

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?: i have multiple fics that end with major character death, so i would say definitely one of those 😂 if anyone is looking to get their heart broken like that, drop me a line and i'll rec them to you lmao. but i know off the top of my head i have multiple No Happy Ending Major Character Death Endings for Narcos and Mayans

7) What's a fic you wrote with the happiest ending?: oooo i know i write a lot of angst but i have a lot of fluff for all of my fandoms too. i think that one of my happiest fics is Just One Week. i feel like that's a generally fluffy fic from top to bottom with the exception of a few moments

8) Do you get hate on fics?: not really! i think it helps that these days i tend to write for smaller fandoms.

9) Do you write smut?: i do! for the longest time i didn't, or i'd try to avoid it like the plague. it's still not my strongest suit or necessarily my preference but i've gotten more comfortable writing it as time has gone on

10) Craziest crossover?: ohhhhh i gotta thank @ashlingiswriting for this one. i wrote a Narcos & Suicide Squad crossover and i think about it every day all the time. i also have some other crossovers in my head that haven't made it onto paper yet. but one day! (fic is called Family Reunion and you can find it HERE)

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?: not to my knowledge!

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?: no, but i have had people reach out and ask to. i get kinda nervous about other people posting my fics even if it's just a translation so i usually just air on the side of caution. but i do appreciate people having taken the time to ask!

13) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?: not formally, but honestly between my friends in the narcos discord, and chats with @withmyteeth and @garbinge i feel like i sort of have 😂

14) All time favorite ship?: ohhhhh maaaaaaaaaan. i. i don't know. i think i ship so many people with so many people it's hard to have a favorite 😂 i've clocked a serious number of hours thinking/writing about: Harry Hart/Eggsy Unwin, Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, Bucky Barnes/Natasha Romanoff, Rick Flag/Harley Quinn, Sydney Adamu/Richie Jerimovich.....also lets be so real if i've written an OC pairing i still think about them to this day even if i haven't written for them in a while lmfao

15) What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?: that's quitter talk!!! i don't care how long it's been since i've updated i still fully intend to add onto all of my wips and finish them lol

16) What are your writing strengths?: i think my strength has almost always been dialogue. i think the chronic rewatcher in me really lends itself to that haha

17) What are your writing weaknesses?: smut is not my strong suit. never has been. probably never will be 😂 also just to keep it a buck i feel like i don't have the mental stamina for a lot of research to go into my fics. it's super hit or miss. i'm just here to have a good time and i can't always be bothered to fact-check 😂

18) Thoughts on dialogue in another language?: i've written multiple fics that have dialogue in Spanish! it's fun and a bit of a challenge but i very much enjoy it. i have plans for an OC who also speaks in sign language along with English and Spanish. i think that's going to be more challenging as well but i look forward to it!

19) First fandom you wrote in?: back in my quizilla days (RIP to a legend) i was biiiiiig into writing bandfic. however, i'd say that once i hit got towards the end of middle school and really got into writing fanfic, my first fics were Marvel, followed by Kingsman a handful of years later!

20) Favorite fic you've ever written?: oh man. like trying to pick a favorite child! 😂 i do think that Just One Week is always going to be in my top fic rotation. Protective Detail is up there as well, along with really any of my Kingsman longfics on AO3 🥰

It’s been 30 days since she touched down in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Though it was a stark difference from New York, she was settling in pretty easily, and most importantly, not getting into any trouble - no, correction - not taking any dangerous lovers who come with trouble. Dangerous lovers who come with money and the nice things she’s grown so accustomed to over the years.

The next lover, whoever he was, would be a normal guy, a guy with no secrets or career choices that put her taste for men into question.

Sanaa put in an order for tacos and a mango drink. As she was about to head to the table, a man's laugh caught her attention. Following the laugh, she glimpsed at the kitchen where a man was cooking and dancing to the background music. To his left was another person.

Though she could only see his back, there was something about him that demanded her attention. She let her eyes drift one last time as he turned to look over this shoulder.

Sanaa was met with not only a handsome face, but a very charming smile also; the kind of smile of a man who knew how to have a good time. She was all at once enamored and frozen still. The man winked at her, then returned to cooking.

As Sanaa sat, she couldn’t help but chuckle to herself. Here she was in a new state, with a new life, as Deja vu swirled around her. She thought about what she left in New York, and that smile of his was clear as day in her mind.

Sipping away at her drink, Sanaa let her mind wander. The memory of their last night out dancing made her heart sing. And though she missed him, she had no plans to return to NY anytime soon….
