This is the first time in months I can draw without a time limit of one hour per day and with a pen instead of my finger/mouse and I think it shows because the anatomy looks less rushed and I actually took the time to draw hands, plus the quality remains mostly intact as there's no re-sends You can also tell I like Kevin and Bob, which is funny because I dislike original Bob a lot

Anyways the au belongs to @zleepysnails, some of these characters belong to @jacenotjason and I'm gonna go hide under a rock because I hate tagging people see you all tomorrow

Basically all I can think of so far is her mom is MIA in this situation- she’s an extreme pushover, and is very easily manipulated and can’t make decisions to save her life. No fashion sense what so ever and can’t really fight- but does know how to use a gun or two-

She basically does any job (specifically illegal ones- kinda with Jack mainly) to get money to help her dad so he can finally get a day off fucking work-

And yes she’s a dork who adores Jack- she loves bad boys what can I say

JFC so i was tagged by @a-muirehen and @swtorpadawan​ 45 literal days ago and I’m finally getting round to this. I apologise, life was literal hell at that time but I am here to proide Six Sentence Sunday x2.

1/ From Vanity & Deciet - old Melwas chapter being gutted and reworked to the point of being a new Melwas chapter

2/ From The Champion’s Tragedy, chapter 2

If Shakiru had expected the jungle to be one of the least dignified places he ever lived in his life, he was wrong. Rather, the jungle proved not to be anywhere near as wet as when he lived in the sewers of Nar Shaddaa, nor as dangerous. The jungle cats and other wild beasts had kept him awake in the night with their calls, but it did not take long for him to trust that the camp was perhaps the safest place he could sleep in on Dromund Kaas. The first time he realised as such, he had chuckled to himself over the irony. Between a jungle camp full of Mandalorians armed to the teeth in beskar and surrounded by savage beasts and a military bunker dead in the centre of the Empire’s capital, Shakiru would choose the former in a heartbeat.

If there was anything that he felt his life could use improving on, it was the fact that it looked like he was going to be stuck in that jungle forever.

So about the vanaras i don't remember where I read it but I read that some people interpret them as tribals who had monkey totems and their tails could be metaphors for their totems or garments.

We have the belief of making offerings to ancestors during pitripaksha too! Bengali "Halloween" is fun though I think it's sadly not cultivated much nowadays? Like ghosts have kinda lost significance. There are many different kinds of bhoot and stuff, I don't even know them all. We do send each other spooky whatsapp forwards though 😂 Kali Puja is sort of part of the spooky season too, because Kali is associated with cremation grounds and ghosts.

And there's a tradition that's almost extinct now called "akash Pradip", where throughout the month of Kartik people light a lamp and raise it on a tall pole on their terrace, meant to guide ancestors who are descending. I think it's neat that this is around the same time as Halloween. Like we all saw this cool foggy time of the year and said "ah yes spooky time" And I gave up crackers because of asthma too, squad 😔 we do phuljhadi at most though we've lit sky lanterns a few times too.

Yeah bhai dooj sounds very similar to bhai phota! "Phota" is the equivalent of tikka I think. And the ritual sounds super interesting! It's so fascinating to learn about all the variations of the traditions!

Yes I think your hypothesis might be correct, I was discussing it with my brother too and he reminded me that they are called Vanar, the nar in it means that they were believed to be half humans atleast. So it's very likely that they were just forest dwellers. Also they might have resided on top of trees hence seen as monkeys. I'll search more about this

And ikr everyone saw this coldish foggy season where nature is wilting and went "well this means something scary will ensue" 😂 I especially love comparing our traditions with around the world traditions. I think most cultures have this concept about the dead coming back to the living world for one thing or another. It's super cool and somehow the air of those days feels so different

And ikr bhai dooj ritual is my favourite, I crush the channa with all my strength I feel such badass like "yes die you heathens and don't you dare look at my brothers" 😂😂 and the chanting is also kinda brutal. We are literally saying may we get to crush his enemies like we are crushing these channa
