Holy Sword & Board In more Eorzean terms, Rael would be considered a “Free Paladin.” But there is no Sultanate here. She draws her power from the element of Light to perform spells and to grant boons to both herself and her allies. Her mastery of using both the one-handed sword and shield is quite honed, for Rael has not devoted herself to any other practice. 

Atypical Healer Through her study of holy magicks over her many years, Rael is able to heal even the most grievous of wounds using Light-woven spells.  This specific type of magick has earned the ire of several would-be allies for obvious reasons over the past 100 years... 

Hospital Servant When Rael is not on patrol, she often performs menial tasks for the Crystarium’s infirmary. This can be anything from performing healing magick on patients to running errands to fetch important herbs and alchemical materials. 

Crystarium Guard Need a job done in or near Lakeland? Rael is often on patrol there and can be found at Fort Jobb easily.

Pheanois (he/him) Sylvari Engineer Kind but a bit sarcastic gentleman. Explorer in Durmand Priory, adventurer and tech enthusiast. Nerdy, gallant and hilariously sweet dude who sees the world as the endless space of possibilities. Happily married to his best ranger friend.

Noereen (she/her) Sylvari Revenant Reckless traveller, always seeking for challenge. Traumatized by her Mists experience but tries to heal, not without help of her boyfriends. Emotional, loud and trying to take everything from life, a bit egocentric, but always ready to protect and help others.

Naohiro Fetch (he/him) Human Thief Silent, humble and pragmatic Whispers Lightbringer, sniper and assassin, one of the leaders of Team BWTCH (along with his husband). Former thug with too much left behind, including his own child. Solemn, strict and hardworking, yet caring and compassionate.

Falco Burngrace/Hopewatch (she/they) Charr Warrior Peaceful and surprisingly chill Whispers agent, gladium and member of Team BWTCH. Nebula Rouvent (she/her) Sylvari Thief+Mesmer (in-game - Thief) Ex-Nightmare Courtier, former self-proclaimed Countess of Fangs, nowadays an uncanny cyberpunk vampire girlfriend blending in Krytan nobility. Extravagant and chaotic, violent and ambitious, loves to play with people no matter if they are food for her or not. Strangely, knows a lot more than she should.

Dreamwalker Sonia (she/her) Sylvari Mesmer Valiant whose Hunt is to spend most of her life in the Dream protecting and guiding saplings before waking up. Because of that is in an almost constant hibernation, waking up for a really short time. Bold, curious and friendly, but somehow a bit depressed by her fate, even though she accepted it.

Maitiú Sunwielder (he/him) Sylvari Guardian Valiant and wanderer, just a dude who tries to make things right and sometimes fails. Tied tightly to Nightmare Court, had a terrible experience with them in attempt to understand their ways of indoctrination which he is to fight. For now travels with his boyfriend whom he rescued from there. Generally warm (in all meanings), empathic and willing to help, but deep down inside has a shred of burning anger and ruthlessness, an urge to exterminate ones who harms innocents.

Secondborn Eina Astera (she/her) Sylvari Mesmer Wyld Hunt valiant and Durmand Priory Arcanist, researcher of Dragonbrand. Arrogant, has a temper, a bit of a snob, but tries to do only good and help people when needed. Has 3 passions in her life: her Hunt, her GF and astronomy. Somehow too involved in Elonian local noble drama.

Ciaráhn (he/they) Sylvari Revenant Catboy Commander (or Wayfinder at this point). A typical comm character: tired, not knowing where to put themselves and deeply traumatized. Even though they mean good and are caring and compassionate, they are very grumpy and salty, preferring to cut short to the deals.

Caeinthe (she/they) Sylvari Necromancer Former Valiant who failed their Hunt. Violently. Spent most of her life in attempt to complete it, in hibernation after failure, in Nightmare Court for a short time, in jail after that and now helping her quirky asura friend. Phlegmatic, unemotional and uncanny: you will never tell if they plan to murder you or not.

Nuallánn/Allan Slyboots (he/him) Sylvari Ranger Mysterious trickster who wanders all over Tyria spreading lies about his life. Leaves even his age unknown, for some reason unable to speak truth about himself, though there's nothing dark in there. Generally friendly, romantic and dorky, searching for adventure.

bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?

ironically, he hasn't! even though his life actively pushed him to be imprisoned. he was at the edge of it countless times but managed to escape in time. however, these risks kept and still keep him alerted and cautious. he is not that lucky. he is just skilled enough, but this skill can let him down in any moment.

failure: What's your OC's greatest failure? Have they been able to move past it? Does anyone else know about it?

man, let me think on it. for him, his two greatest failures are letting his aunt die and leaving his daughter. he can call his unlucky encounters with the dragon minions failures, too. he can even say his life is a one huge failure with some glimpses of light. however, he's still alive and kicking, so yeah, he's able to move on and try to do good nevertheless. his thug failures are unknown to others, except for his ex friends and waexie, and as for his job failures… well, those who know, they know.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

oh, there's A LOT.

or maybe not.

nao's wishes are bound to family. he wishes to reunite with his mother and sister properly; he only meets his sister occasionally as she's the only one from the family who didn't reject him. others did, and every time these two meet, it's a secret for everyone. he wishes to visit his aunt's grave and spend enough time there just talking to it. he wishes to find his dead ex's grave and lay his favourite flowers there. but the most of all, nao wishes to watch his daughter grow up and meet her after decades.

he's not really open with such desires: they are bound to his past, and his past is the thing only few people are allowed to know about. he wouldn't do anything to fulfill them, though: considering how he lives, it's simply impossible. he tries to find a compromise in some occasions, though, and always takes the opportunities.

btw he wants a vacation too hes quite tired hhhh

monster: Is your OC monstrous in any way? Is there something that makes them monstrous? Are they aware of their own monstrosity? Do they accept it or reject it?

if we consider his bandit background and assassin career as monstrosity, then yes, he's monstrous. perfectly aware of this, quite ashamed, but taking it as it is and trying to right his wrongs caused by this.

skin: How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they grapple with anything that lives inside them—a beast, a curse, a failure, a monster? How do they face the smallest, weakest, most horrible version of themself? Are they able to acknowledge it at all?

not comfortable, really... i mean, nao's okay with his appearance (tho could really use more showers), doesn't mind it, but when it comes to the insides. he just hates himself. he made lots of mistakes, beginning with connections with his thug friends, shooting his aunt's murderer, leaving family, forming a gang, killing and robbing even more people, letting his lover die, leaving his family again, etc... he knows it's the experience he can't change but just learn from it, and still, he wants to spit in his own face every time he remembers who he was and maybe is. but instead, he keeps promising this miserable man to get better. and does this

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

not much, really. pheanois is a patient and chill lad in general, very accepting of life challenges. but... being tricked into something awful would break him down. he's naive at some point. but also idealistic and willing to help and do good. a huge failure, a betrayal are also the main causes.

phen is just a little miserable puppy in these moments: frozen, constantly on the edge of crying, usually hiding from everyone in some place and not doing anything.

the only witnesses of this were blightely and some grove helpers during HoT events.

guilt: What is your OC guilty about? How do they handle their guilt? Do they try to avoid guilt, or do they accept it?

phens guilty about one particular event. when mordremoth fuss started, he felt an urge to throw himself and his friend blight, completely broken by the voices, in the heart of maguuma, genuinely believing he could be a help there. he wasn't. instead, he got ambushed in verdant brink, yelled at by his mentor, got his leg broken and then they were evacuated to the grove. he also realized this urge was a call. not a genuine wish to help. and that broke him. he literally put his suffering friend in even worse situation.

he handled this pretty well, though. with some help (blight's especially) and time, he got better and learned from this mistake. he still feels bad about it but not constantly.

👂 : Does your OC have an attractive voice?

in short: yes!

pheanois' voice is very gentle and sweet. it's nothing special, though, it's just a detail that adds more attractiveness to him, as it combines well with his soft twinkish appearance and general attitude :)

nao's voice, on the contrary, is low and somehow harsh. it's hoarse and may be intimidating when he yells but usually he speaks quite calmly and it sounds. interesting. his voice is easy to remember. some people find it attractive!

💋 : Is your OC a good kisser? How do they do it?

in short, again: they both are! i love making ocs who are good at kissing lmao

phen's kisses are delicate and exploring, he loves to study his partner. he also adores long kissing, though in some situations he handles it, hm, hardly.

naohiro kisses hard and in a dominating way but not egocentric. he's very attentive to his partner and adapts easily but just takes more initiative :p

oah thanks for asking!! ig ill go with all or most of my gw2 chars, theres not rly much of them :) ill also leave the links to them in text so you can get acquainted a bit (though i post very little info about them, sorry. i should make a roster)

1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

i usually come up with the name or personality/backstory concept first but for most of my gw2 ocs everything started from appearance :D except for one, i think? i've recently made a new plant boy and haven't shown him here yet but he started with the "i want him to be puss in boots inspired and also wear a hat" concept and only then appearance and name, as i struggled with both

3. How did you choose their name?

fantasy name generator/behind the name + "yeah this sounds pretty oh fuck its taken"

exception: naohiro. his surname, fetch, was suggested by my gf and actually has a reference to irish mythology and mayhaps i can say eina astera is an exception too. i struggled with choosing her name and just made almost first what came up to my mind. and thought it would be fun to give her surname like the copy from human tradition

4. In developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts?

HMMMM.

pheanois: tyria's freedom of movement, maybe? :D he's literally an adventurer mostly

noereen: the revenant lore. i love mists, i love their story flexibility, i love legends concept and their connections with, um, hosts. noereen has a long and quite tragic story tied tightly to her profession; she roamed through mists for years, suffered from mallyx influence and her life as a revenant is mostly a test of her willpower

caeinthe: wyld hunts! i adore this element. basically, cae is a failed valiant, she fucked up her hunt and that made her life a menace

naohiro: problems of human society in tyria, i think. bro was a thug rebelling against the queen and nobility (not a separatist tho)

eina: none for now, she's mostly a draft of a character, though some details are closely connected with wyld hunt (she's a valiant) and mesmer's lore/mechanics(?), as she's a duelist in some kind. also i know elona and kralkatorrik play big part in her story

19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?

pheanois: he had a love triangle back in the days that is based on fukin last shadow puppets music videos. and it turned catastrophically bisexual and homoerotic

noereen: she was bit in the side in mists by a monster and this nearly killed her but she survived and now thinks she has a cool scar. also i love the fact that she has been a menace most of the time but finally got therapy

caeinthe: despite being an asocial disaster, she has a friend, an inquest. and this friend released her from the jail in the grove though she absolutely didn't mind being there lmao

naohiro: he has a lot of soft spots! he's a tough man, strict and disciplined and a fukin assassin BUT also very affectionate towards kids and animals, can deal with them perfectly and isn't afraid to show them love

eina: she made herself a surname copying from humans and unironically thinks she now sounds extra sick and exquisite with it

8. What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?

mostly his struggles with sexuality. bro is gay and kinda closeted (in tyrias tolerating world… yeah…), he also had experiments bc was unsure. in homestuck au his problems are worse as his family is way more conservative there. this is a bit cruel from my side but i really relate to this as i have struggles and doubts too. also i relate to the fact he Doesn't Love Himself and thinks he's a bad man and to his gloominess. and to his love to one particular sylvari ; )
