My Hiro & Reika family tree as part of my Ginga AU. They USED to be a part of my bear hound family tree (don't ask me to share that on Tumblr, it constantly changes) because I shipped Akahime/Kota with Bellatrix. Recently I decided to drop that ship for reasons... so here's the Hiro/Reika family tree by itself.

Black text denotes a canon character, red text denotes an OC.

Some notes:

Spindle is a character from the short story "Mel's Journey" from the Weed Gaiden manga. His breed is unconfirmed but since he looks like a Great Pyrenees I headcanon him as Hiro's uncle

Ref is from Namonaki Inu No Uta, a short story about John and Hidetoshi's visit to Africa. He later has a brief reunion with John in the GNG final battle before he's killed by Akakabuto's minion. Since in the GDW manga Reika mentions her father died in the battle against Akakabuto I'm headcanoning Ref was Reika's father

YES I know that the names "Akahime" and "Shirojiro" mentioned in GDN were errors and their names were later corrected as Kota and Jiromaru respectively. I'm sticking with the original names though because 1) Kota and Jiromaru have been names used in Ginga already which would be boring and repetitive (even as silly of a name as Shirojiro is) 2) Akahime means "red princess" which gives me an even bigger excuse to make the character female in my AU

I gave Hiro and Reika a second litter, just because I can. Also fun fact the names Shou and Ami are taken from an old fandom misconception that those were thought to be the names of two of Hiro and Reika's pups. It wasn't, they later revealed to be Kota and Jiromaru
