...seriously though, I’m now even more tempted to write the Conductor temporarily playing grandfather to Hatty (and the Subconites) in a short fanfic.
#random thoughts#spoiler alert: connie and groves are going to play a pretty big part in the next sotf chapter#and i'm pretty sure i've mentioned this before#but i actually do imagine the conductor to have a pretty interesting relationship with the subcon family in the sasa au#namely because hatty and all her subconite siblings remind him of his own grandkids#and the subconites jumping to their baby sis' defense after the whole train thing actually got him to feel GENUINE remorse#for how he treated her#so connie in my version has a kind of grudging respect for snatcher because they both have a bunch of little kids running around
