JOOX Delivers Excitement and Passion with Korean Talent Show ‘PRODUCE X 101’

101 Trainees Compete to Form a Debuting Group

Premieres on Mnet in Korea and JOOX in Malaysia at the Same Time

KUALA LUMPUR, 2nd May 2019 – Here’s your chance to enjoy your favourite K-Pop entertainment and cheer for the future rising stars! JOOX, Asia’s most popular music streaming app1, will bring you a more intense excitement from Korea by livestreaming ‘PRODUCE X 101’ Season 4 on its platform.

Held by Mnet, a South Korean pay television music channel, the past three seasons of ‘Produce 101’ have received global acclaim and praise. The show has grown in popularity among Asian countries, who have witnessed contestants delivering their best, sensational performances in front of an audience who determines the rising star’s future in the show by voting for their favorite act in multiple elimination rounds. Premiering on May 3, ‘PRODUCE X 101’ will be livestreamed on both Mnet’s channel and JOOX exclusively at the same time. Don’t miss this show if you are an absolute fan of K-pop!

‘Produce 101’ is a group talent show series on Mnet in Korea that premiered in 2016, where the audience selects a band among 101 trainees through online and live voting with multiple elimination rounds. The program’s host as well as experienced and famous mentors, such as Lee Dong-wook (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), also give the participants grades and guidance according to their performances. On top of this, the trainees have to live together, receive trainings, complete missions and compete against each other to be a part of the final 11 members, who will be promoted as a group for five years.

In the past seasons, ‘Produce 101’ has made I.O.I, Wanna One and IZ*One popular across Asia, proving its popularity among fans. New to this series is the X rank, the lowest rank that makes a participant vulnerable to elimination, which will make the show more exciting and breathtaking. With the new theme song ‘지마’ (Don’t), this season’s group of contestants includes trainees under company labels, debuted idols, and individual trainees, including the most popular trainee Cha Jun-ho, Lee Yoo-jin from the TV drama "Sky Castle" and former WINNER member Nam Tae-Hyun's brother Nam Donghyun , as well as Han Seung-woo and Choi Byung-chan from VICTON.

South Club and The Rose to collaborate for ‘Rock Star 2018′

On June 3, it was revealed that the band South Club and The Rose will collaborate for ‘Rock Star 2018: The Union′. 

Through an Instagram live with the members of the band, including  YB’s Yoon Dohyun and FTISLAND’s Lee Hongki’s IG live, the acts for ‘Rock Star 2018′ were gathering to meet.
