THE BAD BATCH SEASON 3 SPECULATIONS
Last season, I gave wild guesses as to what each episode would be about based on the title alone, so it's fitting I'm doing it again for the final season. So, let's see:
Let me starting saying that the first 3 episodes (and the whole season) are going to be EPIC!!! Counting that are 3 episodes in one day, it's going to be the equivalent of the pilot of over an hour and 10 minutes long, or more if you don't skip the end credits (and I'm sure everyone will do).
Episode 3×01 "Confined" will shows a loooooot of Mount Tantiss, Dr. Hemlock, Emerie and co., and how Crosshair and Omega are fairing, which it's not good for what they showed in the trailer 😭 Altho they might not be as explicit as what the heck Hemlock is doing. That comes later.
Episode 3×02 "Paths Unknown" This will be when the focus turns more on Hunter, Echo and Wrecker, that can't be very good either 💔 They'll show what TBB has been doing to find their siblings.
Episode 3×03 "Shadows of Tantiss" is when we'll get more insight to Hemlock experiments and all that stuff.
Episode 3×04 "A Different Approach" Here when TBB realizes that what they've been doing is taking them nowhere close to find Omega and Cross and decide to switch strategy. Maybe Rex and co. gets involved more.
Episode 3×05 "The Return" Asajj Ventress' episode?? Or maybe Cad Bane and Fennec Shand's return too? Either way, it's gonna be epic.
Episode 3×06 "Infiltration" & Episode 3×07 "Extraction" DEFINITELY Crosshair (and Omega ??) gets rescued!!!! My baby is coming home at last!! 😭
Episode 3×08 "Bad Territory" If 3×05 isn't with Ventress, then this is the one. I mean, after the (successful) extraction, the price on the TBB heads probably went up, calling up all bounty hunters available. The question is on which side Ventress will fall on. Because I'm guessing Fennec will still have her side deal with Nala SE, so she'll help them eventually, maybe? Bane, considering their history together, will try to kill them on sight. But Ventress, it makes me wonder, despite what the trailer shows.
Episode 3×09 "The Harbinger" I'm thinking that the new unknown?? clone will be the focus on this one.
Episode 3×10 "Identity Crisis" Hear me out. Theory time. Let's say that mystery clone turns out to be Tech (brainwashed and all that stuff) and start questioning what he's doing and who he is. But also, at the other side, the batch ends their questioning about who they are, especially Hunter who's the one who struggled the most. This is when they commit to fight till the end.
Episode 3×11 "Point of No Return" No idea what this is about but sounds like "Tipping point" which scares me a little.
Episode 3×12 "Juggernaut" The empire, Hemlock, any of the baddies will do something awful here, which will lead to...
Episode 3×13 "Into the Breach" Something big is happening here. What exactly? no idea, but Hemlock will be involved.
Episode 3×14 "Flash Strike" Clone counterattack that might not go as planned. And that's why they'll need for....
Episode 3×15 "The Cavalry Has Arrived" At least 1-hour long episode. And I'll be crying all the way through, of happiness or sadness? I'll have to wait and see.
Probably I'm way off in most of these. I'll find out on February 21, I guess.

thoughts about the finale from what I can remember right now:
[SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT]
They finally did it. They finally put their foot down about rescuing Crosshair and if there's anything that's gonna tide me over until season 3 it's THAT SINGLE CONVERSATION
We got a quality moment with Tech and Phee, so quality that I think I actually ship them now. (HAHA BUT FRICK ME BECAUSE THAT WAS ACTUALLY FORESHADOWING) I was worried when they didn't show her last episode because I thought they were just going to tease a fun comic relief kind of ship instead of, you know, having the characters be there for each other during important moments. As it should be You can't just put Phee in a side pocket and expect her to disappear when stuff gets serious.
That moment where they all look at Wrecker in sync is something I'll tuck under my pillow and look at when I feel like crying. This show has no right to be this funny before taking a sledgehammer to our hearts.
I was begging any god that would listen that the other infiltrators were clones, like I wanted it to be Cody so badly in that moment. I even think I heard DBB's voice when one of the commandos spoke and my pulse skyrocketed But no it was Gerrera. Which, okay plot reasons, and good plot reasons but still 🥲 Man but they really outdid themselves with the plot, it's actually crazy good. Such a roller coaster.
Kudos for actually letting one of the officers defend the clones. That's good writing. Realistically it makes sense and you don't get the feeling that they're all one dimensional psychos. As a side note I was impressed that one of the baddies (the one responsible for surveillance) had an accent other than posh British. And then I realized it was German 😂 like... c'mon guys
TECH. TECH MY MAN. YOU ABSOLUTE AMAZING INCREDIBLE BREATHTAKING LITTLE DUDE. I'm sorry guys but he stole it. Gave Crosshair a run for his money. I salute our little nerd for being the biggest bamf tcw has ever seen in that moment. The sass, the style, the one linery of it all. Of course he's not dead. You can't kill a character like that, you just physically (and metaphorically) can't.
I literally don't know how they'll recover from a trauma like that. They think he's dead. They watched him plunge to the ground. I am unwell (on their behalf).
So glad that AZI was incorporated back into the plot. The little dude deserves it and we love to see him.
'I liked goggles' 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 girl you better know how to perform miracles because that's the only thing that's redeeming you now
Wrecker was wiping tears when they talked about Tech. They were trying so hard to be strong for her. They were in agony on the inside and they still tried so hard for her. Wrecker was shaking his head when Hemlock offered Hunter the exchange, they are ready and willing to die on the spot for her I-
'who knew clones could be so... paternal' *cue shot of Hunter's face* *cue me being deceased on the floor*
AHFSEGFHJRDGHARDGRHGR that's it, everything that happens next is just AHRJHEASGFHJEGFHFRDGG. don't expect me to be more coherent than this
I didn't know they could animate Kaminoans to emote but dang they did a good job with Nala Se.
I'd given up hope of seeing Crosshair's face these episodes but we got him and Omega in one scene together and I guess that goes to the 'help me survive until season 3' pile.
I know we'd already clocked Emerie as a clone and fishy but there's nothing more satisfying than good foreshadowing paying off. This show doesn't give us cheap subversion but actually good plot twists where it's appropriate and they don't make the audience feel like fools by feeding us false clues. Mad respect for that. I don't think we realize how rare that it these days.
Finally, I'll need all of you to hold my hand after this, please-

Bad Batch Season Two Finale Predictions
The Squad is Reshuffled with Deadly Consequences
Crosshair will rejoin the Batch but one of the other members of the team dies while saving him. Crosshair is the show’s most interesting character and it would be a shame to kill him off at this point when there’s so much you could still do with his story. The most intriguing move right now would be to reintegrate him into the squad, but I think the show would be best served by having this be as rough a transition as possible. Having the Batch lose a member to gain one back feels like the most powerful storytelling move the series could make. And right now, the character that would make the most sense to fit that role is Tech. Out of all of the squad, Tech has arguably received the most attention this season in not only having this character expand his worldview but also in how Omega and the audience have come to view him as a mentor and older brother. Tech making the decision to sacrifice himself to save Crosshair and the rest of his squad would be an emotional season closer and the most dramatic way to send these clones into the third season.
Omega’s Purpose is Revealed
I think we will finally understand Omega’s purpose in this episode. While I’m not quite as sold on it as I was last season, I still have a suspicion that Omega was the first attempt at creating a Force sensitive clone. There has to be a reason why she is of such interest to Nala Se, and I’m not quite sold on the idea that her interest in the young clone is purely maternal. Regardless, I would be shocked if we don’t get at least serious clues as to why the Kaminoans find her so special in this finale.
We Will See the Creepy Clone Assassins Again
Speaking of special clones, I would be genuinely shocked if we didn’t get at least a bit of a tease regarding the mysterious assassin clone that appeared during “The Clone Conspiracy” earlier this season. There have been all manner of interesting theories about what exactly going on with this creepy character, some of the most interesting of which have been that they are early versions of Death Troopers or Dark Troopers. Regardless, I feel like the clones sent to Mount Tantiss are likely mentally reconditioned to serve as repurposed killers for the Empire and it seems inevitable that we will at least get some hints as to their origins/purpose.
The Zillo Beasts Return and Chow Down on Seasonal Baddies
How could we not see a Zillo Beast come Wednesday? The fan favorite kaiju from the Star Wars galaxy made a ground shaking Bad Batch debut in “Metamorphosis” and I can’t imagine that the team will pass up the chance to play with these monstrous toys once again. Not only that, but it seems perfect that Dr. Hemlock and/or his science team will fall prey to this hungry and pissed off giant space monster. How much more a poetic end can you imagine for a mad scientist villain?
Rex, Cody, and Ahsoka Appear
Rex appearing feels like an inevitability with Echo and the rest of the clone allies he has collected playing a role in the mission the Batch seems poised to undertake in this season’s two part conclusion. And frankly, after marketing Cody’s role in this season so heavily, I would be shocked if he didn’t reappear for at least a cameo. And speaking of cameos, it does feel like enough time has passed for at least a tease of Ahsoka Tano. The fact that the show has gone two whole seasons without a guest appearance by Star Wars animation’s most famous character is frankly an impressive move in self restraint, but her absence can only be for so long. There are stories to tell here and what better way for Disney+ to hype up her upcoming live action solo series debuting later this year.
