Good embroidery progress yesterday, I can see the light!

The first one of the side decorations (still no idea what to call them, the shape is so odd) is so ugly. I might redo it at some point, but for now I'll leave it bc I'd love to wear her at Yunicon at the beginning of november, so getting her done has priority for now. Just promise you won't look at my embroidery too closely if you see me, ok? 👉👈

Rock: What’s your favourite gemstone? Seashell: What’s a sound that soothes you? for Xiuying - “My favorite gemstone? Well, I suppose it could be easy to say jade, but I’m actually pretty fond of Lapis, Emerald, and Aquamarine.” The Pandaren smiles happily, “I’ve always had an affinity for the water, so that’s probably a lot of it. Same goes for the sound, question! Either ocean waves... but you know, normal and calm waves. Or similarly, the sounds of a babbling brook or river flowing.” Xiuying closes her eyes and her mouth crooks into a tranquil curve, imagining the quiet water.

Float: What’s the first thing you think when you wake up? for Taima - The Shaman rests his head on an open palm, propped against his bent knee. “Haha, honestly probably not too much. I suppose like many of us, I tend to just be glad to have another day that I can get up and do my thing. But honestly, my first thought is probably along the lines of ‘where’s the bottled juice’. Or water. Something along those lines!”

Ice: What’s your favourite thing to do in the winter? for Naira - The young Tauren girl pats on her cozy hide dress, and digs at the ground with a hoof. “I like all the fun stuff that happens in the village, and some of the feasts and festivals and stuff.” Naira glances around shyly. “But I also like looking at the winter birds. There are different ones, and I like to see when they come and go! Some of them leave for winter, and some of them stay.”

and Warmth: Who is the person nearest to you right now? for Koszmar. - Kosmzar shifts his staff over, and crosses a leg in thought. “Hmmm. Well, if we’re talking physically, then that would be...” The Warlock cranes his neck from the candlelit hut set inside the Cleft. “I dunno, some Orc guard over there.” Ko waves his hand dismissively, not intended rudeness by it. “Emotionally? I mean, there really isn’t anyone left. I suppose Kennocha is probably the friend I’ve spoken to the most in the last.... five months? I don’t really include most Warlock colleagues. Few are as... kinder hearted as I’d like.”

My tomatoes are looking so good already!!

I'm so proud of my babies, I grew them from seeds and it took them a while to grow flowers and get this big bc it was quite rainy in early summer/late spring, but we're getting there. And the fruit already have that cool stripey pattern that made me buy the seeds in the first place!

Aahhh, currently looking for new headphones for my pc and they're either extremely expensive or wireless only. I just started and I hate it already

October challenge progress: got some more embroidery done, about one of the side things (finished one that was about half done and started the next). I still have 1,5 to do, so maayybee I could get that done today?!

October challenge update: cut out the inchies and prepped as much as I could for the packaging, so I'm ready to finish the calendar once I hear back from the organisator. And tiny bit of embroidery - that should be my main activity today

Bonus: made pumpkin pie and just look how smooth it came out (we'll ignore the giant crack that formed in the middle while it was cooling down... it was beautiful when I took it out of the oven)

We did it! The inchies are finally done! Got them done later than I wanted yesterday (that IUD knocked me out more than expected, ouch), but I did it and can move to other projects now, yay

October challenge update: every year I massively underestimate how long inchies take me, only to make the same mistake the year after again. Anyway - got four more inchies done yesterday, so now 19/24 are only missing their highlights and opaque details. And one of the five missing ones is almost done. I wanted to finish colouring that one, but I had a headache and my focus was gone :S But maybe today's the day?!

Good art day yesterday! Lost my steam a bit in the late afternoon/evening, but 12 inchies are almost done (as in: just missing gouache highlights+details, but I'll do that at the end for all of them together) and 6 more are in various colouring stages. Maybe I'll manage to get the watercolour stage done for them all tonight? And then do the gouache touch-ups, cutting and all that good stuff tomorrow? We'll see

Got started on colouring the inchies yesterday - one almost done, six more in various states from basecoat to "just needs some more shading". And from now I don't have any other obligations for the rest of the day, so I should be able to get plenty done today!

My parents came home from vacation yesterday, so I can no longer offer dog photos. Have pin cushion yoshi instead

Got secret thing #1 basically done yesterday! Just want to put some sparkly paint on it, but I'm waiting until I've heard back from the persob who asked me to draw it. Just much easier to paint over/fix stuff while there are no shimmer paints to worry about. The plan for today is to start on secret thing #2 (aka the inchie advent calendar), and maayybe be able to finish it on sunday? That'd be ideal, but we'll see how it goes

I won't be participating in any specific inktober challenge, but I want to try to do something creative every day - can be anything really, drawing, painting, sewing, crafting, whatever, even just for a few minutes and then log that here for accountability. I'll have to work on a bunch of secret projects in that time, so you'll have to take my word a bunch if times, but I'll do my best!

Cakes I made yesterday evening for my nephew's birthday! Sister in law asked if I could make the (key) lime pie I made in summer again bc he liked it so much and who am I to say no to an excuse to bake? With additional brownies bc I was afraid the pie wouldn't be enough for everyone
