Miss Dolasach is super super duper duper cool!!! She seems like an interesting character, and dendro too, that's so cool!
A dendro catalyst... That's rare! Catalyst users are versatile, and their attacks are so cool!
May l sent lesser lord kusanali to her?
What does she think about the archons?
I am so sorry for being such a nosey-posey, but genshin ocs are so cool and interesting!
{Oughh I’m glad and flattered you think so! Tbh even though I’ve had her for a while and even set this blog up for her, I can’t help bur cringe a little when I have to actually talk about her more seriously sgdjshsj
And omg!! Nahida? Yeah feel free to! If there’s any kind of setting you want lemme know too? Though I can also just go with the flow :3
(Also um the next part gets really long sorry agdjshs you got me yapping!!)
Hmm… As for what Dola thinks of the archons, in general she fully understands that they’re beings of great power and influence—divine mostly by virtue of being tied to Celestia. But she doesn’t worship them, and will only consider them wise and worth respect if they prove that they’re worthy of that in her eyes through actually behaving and acting like a good god and nation figurehead.
(Which I guess might be the closest thing to agnostic that anyone within Teyvat can get—gods and ‘heaven’ and ‘hell’ and ‘souls’ are undoubtedly real, so how could you not believe in them?)
Honestly they’re also kinda just People to her, especially since she’s met a few, and suspects she’s met more than she knows.
Thoughts on each of them, but like assume these thoughts were thunk during the Mondstadt AQ lol
Barbatos - She grew up being taught to worship the guy, but that was done away with fairly quickly once she fell into the Abyss. Incredibly skeptic of whether he’s even actually still alive or not until she eventually meets Venti during one of her visits to Mondstadt. Like Jean, she doesn’t take long to figure out Venti’s real identity and it kinda just adds to her whole “these guys are as human as the rest of us” ideology lol
Morax - She knows he’s still around and she knows enough Liyuen history to know that he really could be a god walking amongst mere mortals. Has definitely met Zhongli during a visit to Liyue and has her suspicions, but won’t get confirmation for a while. She likes him as Zhongli, and as Morax she genuinely questions how much of it is true and how much of it has just been skewed by historians.
Baal/Beelzebul - She has no intention of meeting this one, but has zero respect for her after hearing about the Sakoku Decree and the Vision Hunt Decree.
Buer - Dola desperately wants to meet her, and thinks it’s strange that there’s no sign of her at all around Sumeru. She’s quite sure that she’s still around, but can’t understand why it looks like she’s as hands-off as Barbatos is.
Focalors/Furina - Dola has real beef with her and doesn’t think she deserves archon status. She spent a lot of time in Fontaine growing up, and with Furina it’s sort of a case of slowly finding out that that celeb you liked is kind of a huge nightmare. Fontaine has a lot of issues and it really baffles her how little seems to be done about them. Her beef with Furina is specifically tied to the Prophecy, and made worse by how I’ve decided that Dola’s the one who goes through the Narzissenkreuz Ordo World Questline and not the Traveler haha
Harborym - I know we’re not done with Natlan but from current impressions, Dola loves her and kind of wishes she ran Mondstadt lmao >w< They’ve met and spoken, and Dola’s actually learned a lot about the Abyss in Natlan thanks to her help. To Dola, Mavuika feels the most like her ideal archon with how proactive she is and her active involvement with her people.
Tsaritsa - Dola has beef with her that mostly revolves around “losing” a good friend to her—which was Childe giving her his utmost loyalty as a Harbinger. We don’t know about her yet so I can’t know for sure, but something tells me that Dola’s sympathetic to the Tsaritsa’s possible reason for trying to gather all the Gnoses.
Also don’t worry about being nosey agdjssh I will genuinely go on and on if you prompt me so >.< No worries!!}

wait isn't alhaitham meant to be a dendro dps/driver?
so why do we "need" nahida? i thought he had the dendro infusion so he could act as a driver? you could use nahida for extra off-field dendro application but i don't think we'd NEED her :/
okay honestly my eyes start glazing over when people really get into the theorycrafting so i might need someone to #factcheck me on this but basically
first of all, obviously you do not NEED any character. however when TCs start talking about a character's kit it is in terms of what is their highest projected DPS, and a main factor of that is their teammates. it's the same way people say scara "needs" c6 faruzan to reach his damage ceiling and quite frankly that is true, hence leading some to believe that faruzan is "useless" before c6
so no, al haitham does not NEED nahida to just work
however, he DOES likely need nahida in order to reach his highest damage ceiling
based off early TC it looks like his best team is projected to nahida + yelan + flex but i think the popular pick right now is shinobu since al haitham's best overall team is looking to be quickbloom
(as an aside, this team is even more expensive because it seems like xingqiu, who is usually somewhat interchangeable with yelan, may provide too much hydro to support 100% uptime (on some reaction I'm not actually sure which? either way basically he applies too much hydro for other characters to keep up which will ruin certain reactions). now obviously you don't HAVE to use yelan, but again not having 100% uptime = DPS loss. but as far as i can tell a less necessary unit than nahida)
now aside from the usual of nahida just being a god (heh) at supporting/boosting the power of dendro reactions, she's also important for al haitham for two specific reasons: EM buffing and energy.
to maximize al haitham's A4 passive (e.g. converting a set amount of EM to a damage bonus, which is currently .12% for each point) it is currently projected you need ~850 EM, which is quite frankly impossible to get from artifacts and weapons alone without sacrificing the rest of al haitham's stat needs (tldr; he's basically really greedy and wants it all, EM, attack, crit, ER).
dendro resonance gives you 100 EM. assuming someone (nahida) on the party also has 1000 EM, nahida's passive gives another 250 EM. that's 350 EM from using nahida alone. even if you don't have that maxed out 250 EM, simply having nahida on the team decreases the difficulty of building EM on al haitham by a lot.
next is energy. al haitham's current burst cost is 70 which is on the higher end. not sure what his personal particle generation is but it's probably ayato-level e.g. not that high. so he needs a decent amount of ER or a battery (nahida) to burst every rotation (bc again if you don't, that's a DPS loss lol)
the other thing about wanting his burst up is that al haitham's scaling is like. actually insane. people are claiming ayaka levels of scaling on his burst right now. so this is a character who again, to achieve the highest DPS ceiling, you REALLY want him to burst every rotation. that's why ER is even more valuable on him, and again nahida simplifies that.
another thing to keep in mind though is that how things are projected may not match up in practice. one thing that's been pointed out is right now al haitham does not really have any interruption/stagger resistance.
so the combo of al haitham + nahida + yelan + shinobu may not actually work out very well if al haitham keeps getting knocked around like a ragdoll (scara and cyno have this same problem, rip). in which case you want to add some sort of shielder/someone like xingqiu who provides interruption resistance, in which you exchange maximum damage for comfort. but regardless nahida seems to always be on the team anyways. so yeah just things to think about
#sorry for the long response ajskdlfasdf#i'm not very familiar with dendro reactions actually because i don't rly use them so i don't know the details on why#nahida is so good for them specifically i just know she is lol#asks#heejakes#genshin leaks

a short recap/analysis of 'the pale princess and the six pygmies'
i've been re-reading the in-game books and i'd like to remind you of / introduce you to the wonderful anomaly that is 'the pale princess and the six pygmies'!
BACKGROUND
it's the book that an abyss mage is trying to steal during lisa's quest (which is not optional!), claiming it held an important secret relevant to the abyss order; at first, everyone was kinda confused by it: why are they looking for a/that specific fairytale? yes, it could be real, but what's so special about it? WELL, after this most recent (3.3) archon quest we know why - fairytales can survive irminsul memory erasure!! so the story in this book is highly likely to be one of those parables like the one nahida tells
THE CONTENTS OF THE BOOK
the first (and only available) volume provides a character description: the Night Mother (with no heart and no mouth, sin incarnate) who rules over the Land of Night and the Pale Princess who rules over the Moonlight Forest (where pale, blonde, blue-eyed people lived)
the previews for the other volumes introduce the other characters:
the Light Prince and the Six Pygmies. the former teams up with the Pale Princess to "*save* the Moonlight Forest". the pair then meets the six pygmies. however, the subsequent volumes insinuate that the pygmies are the antagonists/traitors - vol 5 describes the pygmies' plot as "sinister", and vol 6 describes their plot as "nefarious". this is a far cry from snow white and the 7 dwarves which the title seems to parallel (the dwarves weren't generally evil)
nevertheless, the "meeting" between the princess, prince and pygmies (vol. 4) seems to indicate an attempt at a truce. the last volume (vol 7) is just said to include the Night Mother's prophecy (which is most likely the main part relevant to the abyss order)
ANALYSES
NOW, there are so SO many analyses (and i'll cover some), but before I do I would like to point something out:
the fact that so many stories from vastly different periods could somehow fit this one story outline is VERY interesting, especially given the new context provided by the samsara quest, and the idea that "in this world, everything runs in a loop"
could this be the tale of the overall loop of teyvat?
anyways, i'll cover the following analyses in more or less detail:
the recent past
the current-ish events
the distant past
note on abbreviations: NM - the Night Mother, PP - the Pale Princess, LP - the Light Prince, 6P - the Six Pygmies, MF -the Moonlight Forest
NM - celestia*, PP - gold, 6P - archons, LP - ?albedo/dain/7th pygmy, MF - khaenriah
the Night Mother could be symbolizing Celestia. the best piece of evidence for this would be the quote "her punishments were always unexpected", which could be alluding to the celestial nails (at the same time, after a few of them you'd think they'd be more expected lol just don't make progress and try to know more than you should, and you should be good, ok? /j)

also! it has not been said that the night mother doesn't have eyes (unlike a mouth and a heart), which is interesting because visions have been described as "the heavens' eyes" by nahida
it is then possible that the moonlight forest could be Khaenri'ah. some evidence:
not ruled by the night mother (Khaenri'ah was said to be a goddless nation ruled by the people)
there was a "constant lack of sunlight" (Khaenri'ah was underground)
additionally, the following quote:
"The only thing she could not bear was the occasional ray of moonlight that made it through the clouds. The light that penetrated the walls of darkness always irritated her."
that light could represent human achievement / progress / arrogation, which we have repeatedly seen irks Celestia (most prominently in the case of Orobashi and Khaenri'ah)

this would make the Pale Princess someone like rhinedottir/gold, a.k.a. albedo's creator, as a master of the Art of Khemia and Alchemy (which has been shown to possess the ability to create life)
the Light Prince would then be someone who would be willing to help save Khaenriah, like dain or pierro or albedo (aether could also fit the description, especially after the most recent archon quest, but this wouldn't work for lumine so i'll discard it for the time being); alternatively it could be another Khaenrian (the king) or the 7th pygmy, but that means it would have to be either Venti or Zhongli (the only two male archons)

2. (the current-ish events) NM - ?; PP - 7th pygmy (tsaritsa?); LP - a khaenrian (pierro?); 6P - archons; MF - a nation (snezhnaya?)
the trouble here is the NM, bc Celestia does rule over the tsaritsa, so MF would be a part of the land of night, and i currently don't have an alternative
3. for the distant past it could be telling the story of the second who came and the seelie demise, and the seelies definitely match the description of the "light" inhabitants as well, so the LP could be the "master of the heavens" and the 6P would be the second who came (for some more "fall of the seelies" lore, please refer to this artifact set)
note that the analyses also heavily depend on how you answer the following questions:
are the Six Pygmies under the Night Mother's or the Pale Princess' juristiction, or are they independent entities? if so, which land are they native to?
is the light prince an inhabitant of the moonlight forest?
so, yeah, much to think about! (i also wanted to include a cross-referential analysis of the Night Mother/Pale Princess and Nottfriga/Madgalene from Hex & Hound, but dw we'll leave that for another day lol)
and that's a wrap!! that was a lot, and if you made it all the way here kudos to you, thanks for reading - here's a flower!

do let me know of any mistakes i made or any alternative analyses you enjoy!

I’ve also tried classpecting the archons but I’m not great at classpecting lol
Barbatos: heir of breath because he is literally reskinned John Egbert lol but also he is freedom and controls the wind
Morax: not certain yet, I like your ideas of him being a light player! I also considered time or blood I think
Beelzebul: mage of time? She understands the flow of time and has suffered from things coming to an end. Or maybe a witch because she refuses to accept that time continues onward and is trying to control it
Nahida: I haven’t finished this quest yet so I might get spoiled by sending this ask, but she seems like a total mind player of some kind to me so far
LMFAO VENTI IS JUST RESKINNED JOHN
I dont exactly agree with that but thats too funny
Theres lots of “Raiden is time player” stuff so far
The reason I think Baal is a Rage or Hope player is because her beliefs on what Enternity are very specifically skewed not JUST to mean "time passing"
This is something I've found very interesting about almost every Electro user IVe seen the quests of, or know what they act like. Almost every Electro user, as a very skewed, contrarian view of things around them. They often times have familiars, or rather, "imaginary friends" created by their own beliefs and that stem from a prolonged sense of loneliness and almost denial of things, as they desire to take control of reality around them to cope with the rather harsh realities around them.
This is seen with Razor, through his wolf spirit and his denial to properly intergrate back into a society he would normally belong to and his wanting to see only the wolves as his means to life. This is seen through Fischl too, with her Crow/Raven companion and her almost sincerely delusional way of speech and addressing herself, reffering to herself as Royalty, a creator of worlds and speaking boistoriously to a point the crow needs to translate her often. Qaqing isnt quite like this from what I've seen, but she believes the only true path is to a;llow the beliefs and hopes of people towards gods should die out in the modern age. Even Ningguang implicating this would normally make her look like someone kinda crazy and not exactly as trust worthy to people typically.
This gives me the exact energies of characters like Eridan and Jake English, Eridan with his extreme veiws skewed towards joining the enemy being the only way out of the game; and with Jake English's denial and deep seeted need to act like a Cool Movie Guy and be very peppy macho on the surface to ignore the reality around him.
Baal does the same exact thing to absolute extreme. She believes hiding herself away, creating a new version of herself to take over and leaving the rest to Yae Miko and the other politicians in Inuzuma will just take care of the rest will allow nothing to ever change. But she winds up doing this to a tyrannical level. She even tries to create another person out of the hope it will be a replacement for the loss of her sister with what she remembers and believes her sister to have been more like to see if she could create hope for a future to continue as it always had been with her twin on the helm of things, and as a fear of controlling him but having no use for him, tosses him.
Rage however is all about delusional levels of anger and wrath, which given Scaramouche and other facts about Raiden, i dont think I need to go deeper into there but u get the picture. Shes deeply troubled, depressed and resentful of her sisters passing, so much so she would have rather create another plaine of existence where experiencing the real world just doesn’t even need to happen anymore; Shes in denial that “enternity” staying in her world and just stagnate in a never ending place where nothing bad or good ever happens isnt realistic, isnt healthy and time passing needs to take its course, but more in the sense she just doesn’t want to face it at all, she doesnt want to accept people and things need to change, need to face hardships, and that she needs to accept responsibility for what she herself has done too by being gone for so long. She also has Yae Miko, who while down to earth in comparison to most Electros I’ve seen, is literally Baal’s own familiar that translates her in a sense and knows whats best for Raiden, which she understands Baal’s mentality / way of thinking a little too well. Is still of the belief she can be redeemed even during her tyranny.
I dont know much about Beidou - But shes a Pirate, and I dont really need to explain why this seems like a rebellion out of resentment for how things are and how she drinks and is always a lot less uptight than characters like Ningguang seems like her own sense of Escapism.
