asmr: I really like it, but smth I’m not a huge fan of is when people have long nails in slime poking videos, for some reason it reminds me of that one arthur episode 

my tumblr experience: honestly a mixed bag, i’ve met some of the coolest people (who are also some of my best friends) but there are also instances where i get frustrated by very black and white thinking and super popular misinfo posts that people spread around like the gospel truth. still, i like it better than facebook 

fake dating au: this is literally the best trope out there to exist in any work of fiction and i’m thinking of writing more w/ that trope for a new ship i have 

pet peeves: one of my biggest pet peeves is when people are late. i understand if it’s smth like an emergency or unforeseen circumstances but to me, being late whether it’s to a meeting w/ a friend or walking into lecture 20 minutes after it’s started just shows such a disrespect and personally, i read it as a disinterest as not even wanting to be there to begin w/

Double major in poli sci and history 

📕: What is your weakest subject?

Uggggg definitely anything math related, I had to take a mandatory stats class last semester and let’s just say there was a lot of crying done. That being said, I do think basic stats are useful to learn and that it’s actually really interesting. 

📘: What is your favourite subject?

Anything international relations related, whether it’s international security, international law or more. It’s just really fun to look at for me.

Hmmm it’s nothing special, usually it’s just at the computer desk or in the living room on an armchair

Pralines, pocky and grapes. 

💯: What’s your proudest academic achievement?

Doing really well on the mock security portfolios for a class last semester. It was a year-long thing and we had to be on track of real-time happenings and prepare policy recs but we also had to be able to change them in the event that something drastic changed, as it did several times w/ China/US relations

do you have a note-taking style?

idk what the q. means by style, but i take my notes by hand either on legal pads or notebooks w/ black and blue pens, black for general points and blue for examples/further explanations and headings 

what are your career goals, how do you plan to reach them?

how would you define political science

*tears streaming down face* gOOD question op Political science is just about anything and everything related to who gets what, how and why (and who doesn't!). It's a really diverse field ranging from theory which academics eat up to public policy which leans more to the everyday practicality side (confession i have never taken a policy course even though i technically am allowed to, i don't need to). There are also fields like domestic politics, which are just as important as international relations. Political science for me encompasses a broad variety of topics and other disciplines too and everything is political so it's really fun to see conceptions of how the world and conceptions of how it should/could be
