भीड़ से दूर कहीं ऐसी जगह जाकर करना चाहते हैं अपना वीकेंड एन्जॉय तो उत्तराखंड के चौकोरी जाने की करें प्लानिंग। धार्मिक यात्रा के लिहाज से भी ये जगह है एकदम परफेक्ट।
उत्तराखंड के पिथौरा��ढ़ जिले में बसा चौकोरी गांव बहुत ही खूबसूरत वीकेंड डेस्टिनेशन्स में शामिल है। नैनीताल से महज 173 किमी और बेरीनाग से 10 किमी दूर इस जगह पर टूरिस्टों की बहुत ज्यादा भीड़ नज़र नहीं आती जिससे यहां आने-जाने और होटलों में मिलने वाले रश से बचकर आप आराम से अपना ट्रिप एन्जॉय कर सकते हैं।
चौकोरी में घूमने वाली जगहें

गंगोलीघाट
चौकोरी से 35 किमी दूर ये जगह समुद्र तल से 1800 मी की ऊंचाई पर है। कुमांयु पहाड़ों के बीच बसे कालीमाता के इस मंदिर की अपनी अलग महत्ता है. यहां से 14 किमी का सफर तय करके आप मशहूर पाताल भुवनेश्वर की गुफा तक पहुंच सकते हैं।
असको सेंक्चुअरी
इस सेंक्चुअरी में आपको कस्तूरी मृग देखने को मिलेंगे। इसके अलावा और भी कई सारे दूसरे खूबसूरत पक्षियों का घर है ये जगह।
पिंडारी ग्लेशियर
नंदा देवी और नंदा कोट पहाड़ों के बीच बसे इस ग्लेशियर का ट्रेक, हिमालय के सबसे खूबसूरत ट्रैक में शामिल है।

नागदेवता मंदिर
चौकोरी से 12 किमी की दूरी पर बेरीनाग में स्थित है ये मंदिर। नागदेवता मंदिर के अलावा यहां और भी कई सारे नाग मंदिर हैं। मंदिर के बारे में कहा जाता है कि कालीनाग और श्रीकृष्ण के बीच युद्ध हुआ था जिसमें कालीनाग की हार हुई थी। जिसके बाद भगवान ने उसे यमुना नदी से जाने को कहा था। और वो अपने अनुयायियों के साथ इस जगह पर आकर बस गया था। ये सिर्फ मंदिर ही नहीं बल्कि हिंदुओं का प्रमुख तीर्थ स्थल भी है।
चिन्नेश्वर वॉटरफॉल
चिन्नेश्वर वॉटरफॉल, उत्तराखंड के खूबसूरत वॉटरफॉल्स में से एक है। कुमांऊ के गराऊं गांव में 160 फीट ऊंचा ये वॉटरफॉल चारों ओर पाइन के जंगलों से घिरा हुआ है। इस जगह के बारे में भी लोग कई सारी बातें बताते हैं। उनका मानना है कि वॉटरफॉल के पीछे भगवान शिव का मंदिर है जिसे पार कर मंदिर तक पहुंचना बहुत ही मुश्किल। तो अगर आप चौकोरी में हैं तो इस जगह को जरूर देखने जाएं।
धरमघर
चौकोरी से सिर्फ 9 किमी की दूरी पर है धरमघर। यहां है चारों ओर हिमालय की खूबसूरत वादियों से घिरा हिमदर्शन कुटीर। जहां गांधी जी की शिष्या सरला बेन में अपने जिं��गी के अंतिम दिन बिताए थे।

कैसे पहुंचे
हवाईमार्ग
चौकोरी में अपना कोई एयरपोर्ट नहीं है लेकिन पंतनगर, सबसे नजदीकी एयरपोर्ट है। जो शहर से लगभग 223 किमी की दूरी पर है और ज्यादातर शहरों से जुड़ा हुआ है। एयरपोर्ट से आप टैक्सी द्वारा 3 से 4 घंटे में चौकोरी पहुंच सकते हैं।
रेलमार्ग
शहर से लगभग 180 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित काठगोदाम, यहां तक पहुंचने के लिए सबसे नजदीकी रेलवे स्टेशन है। वैसे स्टेशन के बाहर कैब और टैक्सी की सुविधाएं अवेलेबल रहती हैं।
सड़कमार्ग
यहां तक डायरेक्ट बसें नहीं चलती तो आप काठगोदाम या अल्मोड़ा तक की बस ले सकते हैं और फिर यहां से चौकोरी पहुंच सकते हैं।

कब जाएं
अप्रैल से जून के बीच यहां जाने का आइडिया बेस्ट रहेगा क्योंकि तब यहां का तापमान 17-25 डिग्री के बीच रहता है। जिसमें आप यहां किसी भी तरह के कपड़े पहन सकते हैं। वहीं सर्दियों में यहां का तापमान 2 डिग्री तक भी पहुंच जाता है। तो अगर आप अक्टूबर से फरवरी के बीच जाने की प्लानिंग कर रहे हैं तो गर्म कपड़े ले जाना बिल्कुल न भूलें।
जुलाई से लेकर सितंबर के बीच यहां बहुत बारिश होती है इसलिए मॉनसून में जाना अवॉयड करें।

Kuari Pass Trek The Kuari Pass trek (a 5-day trek) is one of the most beautiful and popular treks of Himalayas and is located in the Garhwal region (at the height of around 4,652 meters). The trek is also known by the name “Lord Curzon Trek,” as the Viceroy of India covered the trek in the year 1905. The real and beautiful Himalayan fauna and flora are on their full and fair exhibition here. The best attraction of this trek is the majestic and imposing view of the beautiful eastern mountain peaks of the Garhwal region. The most popular ones include Hathi Godhi Parvat, Neelkanth, Bertholi, Trishul, Kamet, Nanda Devi, and Mana. The trek also passes through holy and major rivers including Kali Ganga, Birahi Ganga, Dhauli Ganga, and Pinder. To do the trek, you need to reach Joshimath (via Haridwar). Dodital Trek The dramatic Dodital trek lies in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas and is bounded by the majestic and ever beautiful Himalayan mountain peaks like Swargarohini and Bandar Poonch. The lake is nestled beautifully at the height of around 3,310 meters. The trek starts at Sangam Chatti which is about 15 kilometers away from Uttarkashi.
