Touch
Na'vi!Quaritch x Human!Fem!Reader
(Short Drabble!)
Warnings: NSFW, fingering (fem receiving), Voyeurism, hold the moan, public sex, Miles being a smug bastard. This wasn't proofread or edited.
Colonel Quaritch has never been described as a soft and understanding man. This statement was also applicable to the 9ft tall Na'vi reincarnation, who had set his sights on you some time ago.
Getting used to his quirks and isms took time, and often, you felt as though he didn't quite understand himself either. Both of you were often left guessing.
But not today.
Quaritch was sitting back at a projection table, yellow eyes boredly skimming over a display of terrain while the rest of the Recom team prattled off about rotations and reconnaissance. He was not listening to them, though. Instead, his pointed ears twitched with every breath you gave from his lap.
He liked to humiliate you.
You couldn't tell if it got him off or if he just did it to watch you go red. Being only half his size, you couldn't do much about it. When he forced you to perch in his lap, you had argued and squirmed until his arm wrapped around your body and his large hand sunk under the table and into your slacks.
All your sense left you as those huge blue fingers played and stroked over your covered crease. With your back to his chest, you swore you could hear the soft rattle of a purr escape him. That asshole.
It didn't take much to make you blush, but him fondling you during a meeting had you fighting to keep composure. He knew it, too. Putting an elbow on the table, Miles leaned into his hand, giving the impression he would rather be anywhere else. In truth, he did. He wanted his private quarters with you bouncing on his cock. But work was work, and he could settle on tormenting you.
Your legs open wide under the table as he draws his hand up, then pushes into your underwear. He could hardly fit, and you could feel the strain of the fabric trying to accommodate his pressence. Swallowing noisily, you buck to meet his fingers as they drag down your damp folds. Miles hid a smirk into the heel of his palm. He loved knowing he got you worked up.
There was a prod at your opening, his middle finger seeking entry. You clear your throat, widen your legs for him, and close your eyes as you feel the thick digit slip inside your little hole. Miles eagerly pushed knuckle deep, the tip of his finger bottoming out, making you clench around him and clear your throat again.
A few of the Recoms glance at you, and while your face was bright red, you smile.
"Sorry, tickle in my throat."
Miles chuckled, and the lingering stare from Wainfleet made you certain he knew. Maybe they all did. Supposedly, they all had impeccable hearing and sense of smell. You try to not worry about it, and focus on the massive finger that prodded and pushed inside your cunt.
The sensation was incredible, he reached places in you no human finger - or cock, for that matter - ever could. With a buck of your hips, you attempt to fuck yourself against him. Miles shifted under you, and you realized now you could feel the growing hardness between his legs.
Spurred by your canting, the Colonel began pumping his digit in and out of you, starting off slow. The drag of him against you made your body warm, and your stomach tighten. It was getting difficult to keep focused, especially when his heel pushed against your clit. You were rising fast, and the way your cunt bore down around his finger let Miles know how close you were.
Each pull and press of the Na'vi's thick finger made you quiver, his pad bumping your cervix and causing you to lurch in his lap. You knew the Recoms were pretending not to notice, and the fact they knew at all had you flustered. But that was his plan all along.
Sighing slowly, your small hand squeezes around the forearm stretched down your body as you begin to rock yourself steadily into him. If you had been paying attention, you'd have noticed Mansk and Wainfleet's ears twitching and perking at the subtle sound of your cunt slicking. Miles rumbled in his chest, satisfied that you were coming undone in his lap.
When the pressure became too much and the heat coiled up your vertebrae so suddenly, you saw stars. With every ounce of self-respect left within you, your hands clap over your mouth. The orgasm was strong, body shaking. You shudder and roll your hips as your cunt bears down around his finger. It grips at him in desperate, fluttering motions, as pleasure rattles through your core.
Miles smirks again, pumping the digit a couple more times for good measure before slowly pulling it out and wiping off on your panties. He gives your thigh a 'good job' pat before you fumble to fix your clothes. You could feel the smug aura wafting from him, and grit your teeth.
Revenge was a bitch, and you were certain you'd make him pay.

Previous chapter | Masterpost | Chapter 17
The sound that leaves you when the people part for the small boy running towards you could only be described as heartwrenching, even to your own ears, Spider’s bruised frame sprints forward with only one goal in mind as you fall to your knees in the wet, warm sand. You just manage to open your arms before he’s wrapped around you, his small but strong arms holding onto you for dear life as you press your face into the crook of his neck, sobbing openly. Rocking the both of you slowly, you breathe him in, letting your hand cup the back of his messy head while you press his smaller body to your frame. There’s a small voice in the back of your mind that tells you to ease up, to let his smaller body get space to breathe, but in your desperation, you’re unable to let go of him.
“Son?” Distantly, you recognize the wounded, high-pitched voice of Jake Sully, but it’s not before you lift your head to take a deep breath that you notice that the Toruk Makto has rushed past the Olo’eyktan to hold his own son. The sound of the strong man’s quiet sobs pierces something deep within you and you can only imagine the relief of seeing your child alive when you have believed him to be dead.
He’s whispering thanks and blessings to the Great Mother when Neytiri comes rushing through the crowd, no doubt reacting to her mate’s distressed sounds. It doesn’t take long for her own shrieks of pain and disbelief to come forth as she stumbles on unsteady legs toward her son and mate. With her hand outstretched, Jake Sully takes it, pulling her into the hug he’s refusing to end with their son. Neteyam’s grunt when his mother collides with them is painful, but the reunion goes on, the young man refusing to let go of his parents. Smiling through your tears, you watch as the rest of the children join them, happy cries and grabby hands creating a tight bubble around Neteyam. It’s heartwarming to see the young man be cuddled and loved like this.
Stroking Spider’s head, you close your eyes as you feel his small but fierce heart pounding away against your chest. Your son has stopped crying, his small sniffles sounding every now and then as he clings to you. His cheek is resting against your collarbone, his mask digging in painfully, but you couldn’t care less. Your son was finally here with you, his small body clinging to you as you held him. You can’t imagine the pain and hurt he’s been through the past few weeks, or how scared he must have been. Kissing his messy head, you whisper small thank you’s as you get to your feet, still holding him close.
“You saved him,” Jake Sully mumbles, his sharp eyes piercing into yours from your short distance, reaching a hand out for you to join them.
Slowly, you approach your old Olo’eykatan with Spider in your arms, only to be pulled into the hug when his strong hand wraps around your elbow. His forehead presses firmly against yours as he holds you close, whispers of thanks leaving his lips as he breathes deeply. Neytiri repeats the motion when her mate eventually lets up, her eyes piercing into yours as she thanks you, the motion foreign to you.
“Mo’at was the one who saved him,” You whisper back, hearing Jake Sully’s soft intake of air as his head leaves the tight bubble you’ve all created, “I just found him,”
Neytiri lifts her head too and it’s only then that she sees her mother standing with the Olo’eyktan. Mo’at steps forward when another wounded sound leaves Neytiri and you watch as the older woman crumbles in her mother’s arms when she embraces her daughter. At that moment your heart bleeds for Neytiri and what she’s been through. You can only imagine the pain and sorrow she must have experienced while believing her son dead, only to be able to embrace his beating heart once more. To be able to be comforted by her mother and for the Tsahìk to embrace her the way she now does…
“Y/n had already saved Neteyam by the time they reached the Omatikaya clan, all I could do was help him heal faster” Mo’at hums to her daughter and Neytiri’s head whips around to stare at you again. Holding her mother’s hand, she reaches for yours with the other, pressing your hand to her chest.
“Thank you, sister,” Neytiri’s words are spoken with such vulnerability, with such gratitude that it takes you by surprise.
“It was the least I could do after your family protected my son,” You squeeze her shoulder where she still holds your hand to her chest, smiling warmly up at her.
Neytiri is unable to meet your eyes, her eyes instead focused on the blond mop of hair that is your son in your arms, but you don’t think much of it. It’s been a stressful time for both of you and in all honesty, you’re beyond exhausted. When Neytiri lets go of your hand, you turn back to the Metkayina Olo’eyktan, greeting him properly this time whilst still holding onto Spider, refusing to let your son go.
“I come seeking your help. My companion is hurt and he…-” You start slowly only for the Olo’eyktan to hold up his hand for you to stop.
“Your Tsahìk has already explained your situation,” He starts, only for Jake Sully to step up to him.
“She is Omatikaya, Tonowari. I will take full responsibility if you can offer her companion help,” He declares and for a split second, your heart soars with pride and gratitude for your old Olo’eyktan.
“Toruk Makto,” You say politely, your ears bent close to your skull as you wrap your tail around your thigh, the pose as submissive as you can manage with Spider still in your arms, “You will not approve of who he is,”
And with that, you put Spider down in the sand as you walk over to Hawnu. The demon’s head is resting on the other side of Hawnu’s back, blissfully hidden, and with the new tweng and cloak, he doesn’t immediately stand out unless anyone cared to look at his feet or hands. Taking hold of the demon’s short hair, you take a deep breath before lifting his head up for your Toruk Makto to see.
Immediately, there’s an outcry from the Olo’eyktan and Neytiri, and then from behind, the Metkayina Tsahìk hisses furiously as she comes up to stand beside her mate. Your eyes, however, are only trained on Neytiri as she pulls her blade and comes running towards you - or rather, towards the demon. Flipping Spider onto your back, you step between Neytiri and the demon, hissing ferociously at her as you pull your own blade out to protect your own small family.
“Step aside, sister,” Neytiri sneers, her anger, and fury petrifying as it’s directed at you.
“No,” You try to sound brave, but your voice comes out unsteady and small as it leaves your lips, your fear so obvious to everyone around you.
“He drowned,” Jake Sully says, his face crumbling in a frown as he pulls Neytiri back by her shoulder. “I drowned him,”
“I couldn’t just leave him, Sir,” Spider speaks up from your back and just like that, your fear disappears, replaced by a resolve so strong even the Great Mother couldn’t take it away from you.
“You couldn’t just… -” Jake Sully starts but stops abruptly, pinching the bridge of his nose as he squeezes his eyes shut.
“Lo’ak and I were looking for you when the ship went down and I found him on the bottom of the sea just lying there,” Spider continues, his voice desperate, “He’s my father, Sir,”
Closing your eyes, you let your mind go through every possibility before you make up your mind. Hawnu was close by, the demon already on his back if you needed a quick escape. Opening your eyes again, you stare directly into Jake Sully’s eyes as you sheath your blade.
“You were once a demon from the skies, now; you are Toruk Makto, the leader of our people, a child of Eywa,” You present so forcefully that his ears slick back against his skull while his tail whips behind him. The challenge is clear as day in Jake Sully’s eyes, but he still looked conflicted.
“It’s not up to me to decide anymore, Y/n,” He mumbles as he steps aside.
“Ma Jake, what are you saying?” Neytiri turns to him, her rage almost brimming over as she can’t believe what she’s hearing.
“Olo’eyktan of the Metkayina clans, I come to you seeking help. Will you help me?” You direct your question to the leader, not knowing if you want him to agree or not. You watch as the Olo’eyktan looks down at his own furious mate, at Neytiri’s anger, and then at Jake, his face just as conflicted as your heart.
“I will not leave his side,” Jake Sully offers, making Neytiri cry out in outer outrage at her mate’s words.
“Then we will offer help,” The Olo’eyktan says reluctantly before turning to send some of his men ahead.
Gently, you let Spider down from your back, watching as he steps up to greet Hawnu before moving over to Cupcake, the female ikran greeting him excitedly with small welcoming chirps as she nudges her head against his body. Stepping closer to Hawnu, you take a deep breath as you prepare to haul the demon’s huge mass over your shoulders again, only for Jake Sully to move closer with outstretched arms, intending to help you.
But when you whip around and hiss at him, he steps back, holding his hands up, much in the same manner that the demon does. You’re still not sure what the motion means, but you figure it has something to do with meaning no harm. Although you would have liked to get help with carrying the demon, you don’t trust your old Olo’eyktan not to attempt to kill him again. Not after what he had just admitted to doing.
“She is strong, Jakesully,” Mo’at steps forward, resting her hand on his shoulder, “She will need no help with the demon,”
You don’t understand what the Tsahìk means by that but as the demon’s heavy weight slides over Hawnu’s back to fully rest on you, you couldn’t care less as you try to keep upright. You follow the Olo’eyktan to a marui pod on the outskirts of the village, the sea surrounding all but one side of it. Only one way in, only one way out, you think as you walk on tired legs. Spier holds your tail as he follows closely behind you, not yet ready to let go of you. Behind him, Jake Sully and Neteyam follow you, much to Neytiri’s great displeasure. You have a growing suspicion that this isn’t the Tsahìk’s marui pod at all.
It’s a suspicion that is confirmed when you enter the marui pod. To your surprise, the people the Olo’eyktan sent away are waiting for you inside, their shoulders squared as they stare at the demon on your shoulders. In the middle of the pod, a woven mat and supplies for the Tsahìk are set up, yet, the Tsahìk herself, is missing.
On wobbly legs, you crumble to your knees as you try your best not to drop the demon. Spider is still holding your tail, his grip harder as he refuses to let go when you bend down, trying your best to gently slide the demon off of you. It doesn’t work. It never has. With a hard thud, the demon’s bottom hits the mat before the rest of his body follows, much like an overripe banana fruit falling to the ground. Deep within you, you feel sympathy when his head hits the woven mat hard, his kuru trapped between the two.
Stepping back, you pull Spider’s head to your middle, your son still refusing to let go of your tail. His grip on you tightens when the Metkayina Tsahìk enters the pod, Mo’at closely following behind the two. The Tsahìk sneers at the demon until the Olo’eyktan, her mate, squeezes her shoulder while leveling her with a look that seems to pull her anger back from the surface.
“The demon does not deserve the Great Mother’s healing,” The Tsahìk hisses while scowling up at her mate.
“Ronal…” The Olo’eyktan hums, but his voice only seems to anger her more.
“He took our daughter,” The Tsahìk, Ronal, growls, and the news goes straight through your chest, pushing a wounded whine through your lips as you hold back fresh tears.
The demon’s betrayal seemed never-ending the more you learn about the events of that day. It colors him in a light you’ve only heard whispered before, colors him in stories from a war long since passed. This… this being before you is not the man you had come to know, yet, it undeniably still was.
“The demon has been touched by the Great Mother, Tsahìk,” Mo’at hums gently, using Ronal’s title politely, one Tsahìk to another.
“The Great Mother would not touch the likes of him,” Ronal hisses back, her finger pointing shakily at the demon.
“The Great Mother touched me,” Jake Sully offers softly, making all heads snap toward him. “And as Y/n said, I was once a demon from the skies, just like him,”
“The Toruk Makto is right,” Mo’at continued, “Eywa has spoken. As Tsahìk, it is not up to us to challenge her will,”
Ronal hisses furiously as she clutches her head, the battle so obvious to everyone in the room. Mo’at eventually takes pity on the younger Tsahìk when she steps forward, a gentle hand resting on Ronal’s forearm.
“With your permission,” She looks at Ronal and her mate before continuing, “I can offer him healing,”
Immediately, Ronal’s expression softens, gratitude washing through her body. Grabbing Mo’at’s wrist, she breathes a deep sigh before accepting her mate’s open arms, letting herself be hugged by the Olo’eyktan.
“Thank you,” The Olo’eyktan offers, his smile genuine and soft. “I will make sure that you have everything you need,”
“I will join you to Ronal’s marui to collect what I need before returning,” Mo’at hums, inclining her head minutely in appreciation.
Watching Mo’at disappear with the Tsahìk and Olo’eyktan, you let your breath out before sitting down, crossing your legs before you as you make room for Spider to sit. Jake Sully bends down to sit beside you, Neteyam tightly nestled between his own thighs as he holds his son tightly to his chest.
“How is he?” Jake Sully eventually asks as the silence stretches on.
“The demon will live,” You start, your voice unsteady, “Maybe,”
“What happened when you left?” Your old Olo’eyktan continues, his voice gentle as he stares at you.
Turning your head to actually look at him, noticing how he’s looking at you with genuine worry. His ears have rotated toward you, open and rounded, while his tail slaps lazily behind him, the soft thumping soothing as it hits the woven ground of the marui pod. It reminds you of the shame he had displayed when he had come to you with the news of Spider being taken, and just like that, your disappointment in him returns.
“Why do you care?” You huff back at him as you narrow your eyes, your hand cupping the back of Spider’s head, pressing him closer to your chest.
“Ouch… I guess I deserved that one,” Jake Sully winces, his ears pinning down flat against his skull.
The silence stretches between you while you hold your sons against your bodies, reveling in the way their hearts beat against your chests, in the way their lungs push air through them before gently letting them out. Spider and Neteyam are fast asleep where they’re held against your bigger bodies, your son’s exhausted with being strong and just like that, while looking down at them, the two of you seem to come to the same realization.
Although they were both young adults, they were still children, burdened with fighting the horrors of a war they should have never been involved in, to begin with. Although they were old enough to find mates, to go off on their own and be their own master, they were still too young to have experienced everything that they had. Holding Spider closer, you bend your head back as you feel guilt and sorrow wash through you. They had both been through a lot, had been brave and fearsome for their younger siblings and friends, for their parents. You recognized that it would take time for them to heal, time for them to work through their trauma, and to learn how to be children again before they would be able to confidently stand on their own two legs as adults.
“I went to Hell’s Gate, only to find it deserted, so I found the gates of Bridgehead City and demanded to see Colonel Miles Quaritch,” You eventually offer, a peace offering to a man who’s treated your people well.
“You did what?” Jake Sully’s head snaps to the side to stare at you so fast, you can almost hear the pain in his neck.
“They brought me to one of their bright, cold rooms with the see-through metal doors. I don’t know how long it took, but eventually, they brought Spider to me, unharmed. A deal was made to teach the recom unit the Na’vi way, to teach them to accept Eywa in their hearts and souls,” You continue quietly, noting how Jake Sully hangs on every word you say.
“And they did,” You followed, turning your head to look back at the Toruk Makto, “They learned to accept Eywa in their hearts and in their souls.”
The silence stretches once more as you let the words sink in. Jake Sully remains silent, his eyebrows furrowed in deep thought as his mind mulls over what you have just said. To your surprise, he lets you collect yourself, lets you continue with your story without uttering a single word.
“They learned to be Na’vi, each one getting to find themselves as if invisible bonds that had held them back fell away. Slowly, they started to appreciate what the Great Mother has created, each one finding their way, discovering what they were good at, and starting to contribute to the unit,” You continue, your voice growing fond as a ghost of a smile crosses your lips. It’s clear to everyone in the marui that you cared deeply for them.
“I don’t know what happened,” You eventually whisper, your heart breaking once more as you avert your eyes, closing them as you bend your head, resting your lips against Spider’s head, breathing him in to calm yourself.
“I’m sorry I allowed them to take Spider in the first place,” Jake Sully offers, his voice so soft you almost think you imagined it, “You have a strong heart Y/n, a strong spirit. It’s no wonder Hawnu chose you all those years ago.”
Mo’at walks in with supplies in her arms then, the Olo’eyktan follows closely behind her with even more stuff in his arms. Your Tsahìk directs the younger Olo’eyktan to - gently - put the supplies down when his first attempt earns him a disapproving tut from her. Mo’at looks over at your sleeping sons before guiding the Olo’eyktan to sit beside Jake Sully before she starts arranging the supplies the way she wants them. To your surprise, the big man does as he’s told with a respectful nod of his head.
“She always this firm?” The Olo’eyktan whispers once he’s crossed his feet beside Jake Sully.
“You should have seen her when I mated Neytiri,” Jake Sully whispers back, a fond grin on his face.
“I can hear you…” Mo’at hums unamused as she raises her eye at the two.
The boyish grins on the two men’s faces have you shaking your head. Seeing this freer side of the Toruk Makto makes something inside of you shift. You realize that he was cast into the role of Olo’eyktan after Tsu’tey’s death in the battle for the Vitraya Ramunong, a role he was never meant to have, yet, one he did his best to fulfill. Being from the stars, from this planet Earth, Jake Sully had done well by your people as a leader, had given everything to protect and defend them.
Watching as Mo’at mixed herbs, pastes, and salves, preparing leaves and cleaning bowls, you let your mind go pleasantly blank for the first time in what felt like forever. The sea beyond the marui pod washes up against the roots, creating a comforting sound, yet, you keep your eyes closed as you hold your sleeping son close. Mo’at distantly hums about bruised bones and ribs, huffing to herself about how such a big man could be this fragile. After a while, the Olo’eyktan gets up to his feet to resume his duties as leader, promising to bring food after the community meal is finished.
By the time you open your eyes again, Mo’at has finished up, the demon draped in a blanket with his wounds and bruised bones dressed. Jake Sully is staring at him, his face conflicted as his mind races silently while he holds onto a still-sleeping Neteyam, the young man so obviously beyond exhausted. Looking down at Spider, the most beautiful brown eyes you have ever seen in your life stares back at you through the mask.
“I see you,” You whisper gently as you cup your son’s face, smiling down at him.
“I see you, mom,” Spider replies, a soft smile of his own as he’s looking up at you.
“Are you well?” The question makes him frown for a moment before he nods his head.
“I’m tired,” He responds before frowning, “Will he be alright?”
“Your father will be just fine,” You smile reassuringly back at him, noting how his face opens with delight when you acknowledge the demon as his father.
“I don’t know what happened, mom,” Spider whispers, his small, strong hands fiddling with your braid, “One moment he was fine and then he just… snapped?”
“It’s alright, Spider. His actions are not your fault,” You comfort him, trying your best to make him understand that he had no part in his father’s doings.
“When he took me, he went after more villages and when no one said anything, he sent the sky people out to hunt the tulkuns, mom,” Spider’s voice is so small it makes your heart break for him.
“Did he kill any of them?” You dread the answer, but you need to know.
“No,” Jake Sully replies instead, “They wounded Ronal’s spirit sister, forcing her and her young calf to the surface, leaving them for me to find. The mother and calf are healing well,”
Closing your eyes, you’re unable to keep back the wounded sound that leaves you. It feels as if your strength is leaving your body as your heart mourns for the man you had come to know. Anger and betrayal filled its place, poisoning what was left of the hope you still held onto.
“He killed the Olo’eyktan’s ilu before burning the Ta'unui village down, but he stopped the sky people from doing what they usually do with the tulkun,” Spider offers and although it should have been a small relief to know that he had ordered the sky people to stop the hunt, it wasn’t.
“He got my attention, which was what he wanted,” Jake Sully huffs humorlessly, “He went after another tulkun later on, and while our kids tried to save it, he managed to take three of them,”
“Lo’ak, Tuk and Tsireya, Ronal and Tonowari’s daughter,” Sider mumbles shamefully, his voice so small.
“It wasn’t your fault, bro,” Neteyam adds sleepily, his voice rough from just having awoken.
“I could have done something, I should have done more…” Spider counters and it makes Neteyam huff humorlessly, much like his father.
“Like what, gotten yourself killed?” The deadpan expression Neteyam sends him makes your son growl. Had he been born with ears and a tail, they would be slicked back and thrashing.
“When Payakan, Lo’ak’s tulkun, crashed the ship, me and Lo’ak went looking for Spider. That guy, Prager, and the bald one came after us with their guns, but the bald one didn’t really shoot at us, his aim was horrible,” Neteyam chuckles, as he grins.
“Wainfleet is a decorated marksman, Neteyam,” Jake Sully offers, but you don’t understand what it means. “If he had wanted you dead, you would have been dead with the first bullet he fired,”
The truth of the words brings a silence over the marui pod as the reality of what could have happened sinks in. Closing your eyes, you hold Spider’s head close to you in an attempt at comforting yourself while you let yourself hope that Lyle had missed with the intent of not hurting the children. At best, it was a hope to comfort yourself as the man was no more.
“What you did was stupid,” Jake Sully grounds out, his voice angry before he sighs and presses Neteyam’s head to his chest again, “But I have never been more proud to call myself your father,”
“That goes for you too, Lo’ak,” The Toruk Makto raises his voice before turning his head to look toward the seaside opening of the marui pod. “Come on out, son,”
Lo’ak’s head pokes out from the brim of the pod, his ears flat against his head as he slowly, but surely steps out from where he had been hiding. The boy’s tail is wrapped tightly against his thigh as he’s unable to lift his head or meet his father’s eyes.
“Are you not angry, Sir?” Lo’ak all but whispers, his ears rotating toward his father before snapping back again.
“Oh, I’m furious,” Jake Sully chuckles as a grin spreads across his face, “And the two of you will be grounded for life, but I have never been more proud in my life,”
Reaching out a hand for his youngest son, Jake Sully waits for his words to sink in and when they do, Lo’ak’s head snaps up with confusion as he stares at his father. Reluctantly, he steps forward, one foot at a time until he’s within his father’s reach. He’s helpless against the hand that grabs his waist and before he knows it, he’s pulled down into his father’s lap.
Smiling at the display before you, you watch as Jake Sully breathes in the scent of his boys as he holds them close, but most of all, you smile at the way Lo’ak curls up against his older brother, his smaller hands holding onto him for dear life. You can’t imagine how he must have felt when he thought he had lost his brother, but by the way silent tears fall from his clenched shut eyes, the loss had been painful in a way he has been unable to express. Neteyam wraps him up as well as he’s able to, holding onto his brother as they rest against their father’s chest. You lose time of how long you sit there, but when Mo’at returns to the marui pod, Neytiri follows behind.
“Ma Jake, you must come home,” She demands, her eyes not leaving the demon on the ground.
“Neytiri, I can’t do that. I promised I wouldn’t leave Quaritch’s side,” Jake Sully sighs, his ears flat against his skull as his arms tighten minutely around his sons.
“The demon should die for what he has done,” Neytiri hisses, uncrossing her arms as she points at him.
It brings an instantly furious growl from your lips as you jump to your feet to stand between them, blocking Neytiri’s path. The Toruk Makto doesn’t get up from the floor, but his deep sigh is enough to bring Neytiri’s focus back on him.
“Neytiri, Eywa has spoken and I have given my word to Tonowari, I will not break it,” He speaks with a patience you do not feel, “My word is all I have left, Neytiri,”
Jake Sully’s vulnerability seems to touch something deep within her as Neytiri growls and whines before clutching her head in frustration, her ears pinning back helplessly. Had you been able to move from your current place, you would have offered the older woman comfort, but as you are, you stand frozen before the demon with your son on your hips, tucked away from Neytiri. In the end, Neytiri lowers her arms as she helplessly looks at you, her eyes wide and filled with fear, and just like that, you can’t blame her.
“Thank you, sister,” Your voice is soft as you speak, your hand reaching out to hold her when she tightly grasps it.
Neytiri is unable to say anything, but her hand clutches yours before the other one comes up to cover your clasped hands. Her eyes have softened when she looks down at you. She looks lost and you understand that feeling. From one mother to another, you share in her desperation to keep your kid safe, to ensure that they have the best paths laid before them. Although he Great Mother had spoken, you did still not know if saving the demon would be the right one for Spider, for the whole of Pandora, but when you close your eyes at night, it is his touch that you feel behind you and just before you open them again, it is his sharp eyes that you see, leaning in to share his love with you.
Releasing your hand, Neytiri walks over to sit beside her mate and sons, her arms wrapping around both Neteyam and Lo’ak as she breathes him in, reveling in his smell. Jake Sully smiles gently before looking behind you where Mo’at works unbothered by her daughter's temper tantrum, seemingly used to it. She has pulled the blanket down from the demon’s chest, revealing the smattering of leaves protecting the pastes and salves beneath. You watch as his chest rises and falls in deep rest, the man far away from his present predicament.
“What happened next,” Jake Sully hums into the silence, his eyes sharp as he stares at nothing in particular, but his voice leaves little doubt about where he’s going with this.
“Spider and I went to look for you, diving around the ship in hopes to find you. We split up and then… Well, I found you,” Lo’ak started, refusing to lift his head from Neteyam’s shoulder.
“And then I found him,” Spider continues, his eyes filling with tears as he clutches harder onto your braid, “At first I left him. He’s caused so much pain, so much suffering and I just… Everyone would be so much better without him, but mom, he’s my father,”
Spider’s tears are falling, fat and clear, as he squeezes his eyes shut, afraid to see your reaction. Shuffling him over to your front, you wrap both arms around him as he sobs. Behind your back, his small hands find your braid again as he clutches onto it tightly, his small legs locking at the small of your back. Shushing him, you cup the back of his head while comforting him, feeling your heart clench painfully at the fact that there is nothing you can do to help him except to just be there for him. Eventually, he lifts his head from your shoulder as he looks up at you, tears hanging from his big brown eyes and you can find no fault in his reasoning.
“I know, I know,” You smile down at him, bending to rest your forehead on his through the mask on his face, “It’s alright,”
When you lift your head from his, even Jake Sully seems like he reluctantly agrees with your son’s compassion. Neytiri’s still scowling, but her features don’t look as hard as they previously had, the older woman obviously struggling to find fault in your son’s reasoning, despite the fact that his father is such a man.
“I got him out of the wreck and up to the surface, pulling him with me to the nearest rock, but by then he was already waking up. He asked me to come with him, mom, but I couldn’t go with him,” Spider continues, his voice growing sadder with each word, “He looked so sad when I left him, mom,”
The confession breaks you, the sudden intake of air into your lungs threatening to choke you. He had asked Spider to come with him, had even looked sad when Spider refused, leaving him behind for Cupcake to deal with. Could there still be something within him that longed for the life he had turned his back on? Turning your head, you stare at the demon, noting how carefree he looks in his sleep. It’s not the peaceful rest he had worn before, but like this, he looks as if there’s still hope for change in him.
“I’ll find a way, Spider,” You whisper into his hair, closing your eyes as you breathe him in to calm yourself, “I swear, I will find a way,”
The promise seemed to calm your son’s nerves as the death grip he had on your kuru eased. You have a need to bounce him in your arms like you did when he was a baby, but you bite your cheek to refrain from doing so, reminding yourself that he was on the cusp of adulthood. Still, the need resided deep within you. Holding him close like this would have to be enough, however. Turning around, you’re surprised to see the Olo’eyktan in the opening, his big frame resting against the marui pod while he waits.
“Olo’eyktan,” You mutter, clumsily greeting him.
“There is no need for this,” His voice rumbles as he steps inside, only to come to a stop before you. “It takes a strong heart and a mighty spirit to stand up to your father like that, little warrior,”
You watch as Jake Sully gets to his feet, his arms still clutching onto both of his sons as he grunts, refusing to put them down, much the same way you are. Behind the strength he projects, you realize that he’s just as afraid of waking up to find that this had just been a dream. Neteyam and Lo’ak look huge in his arms, dwarfing their father where they’re clutching onto him with their long legs. Still, Jake Sully greets the Olo’eyktan with a nod, as if any of this was normal.
“Tonowari,” Jake Sully offers, his sons quickly mumbling a formal greeting as their father spreads his legs to even out their weight.
“You look tired, my friend. Why don’t you take your family home to rest?” The Olo’eyktan, Tonwari, hums, a gentle smile on his face.
“Can’t do that, I promised I wouldn’t leave Quaritch’s side,” Jake Sully grunts back, the weight of his sons obviously heavy in his tired arms.
“The Tsahìk has informed me that the demon will not wake from his sleep any time soon, and although I admire the loyalty to your promise, I would feel better if you took your family home,” Tonowari continues, his big hands cupping both Neteyam and Lo’ak’s heads as his thumb gently caresses them while he waits for the Toruk Makto to decide, “I will have warriors watching the pod,”
That seems to do it. Jake Sully sighs heavily as he bends his head for a short moment before looking up at Tonowari, his eyes brimming with emotions as his smile stretches unevenly.
“Thank you, my friend,” He breathes with relief as Neytiri comes up behind him, putting a hand on his shoulder to show her support.
“Tsireya and Ronal have left food in your kelku. Do me a favor and don’t let me see you tomorrow,” Tonowari grins as Jake Sully chuckles with tears in his eyes, the Toruk Mako struggling to keep his emotions at bay.
“Thank you,” Neytiri hums as Jake Sully turns to leave.
“Y/n…” He calls to you, but nothing follows.
No words are needed for what your old Olo’eyktan is trying to say. It’s written so clearly in the way his eyes glow while he looks at you, in the way his arms no doubt burn under the weight of his sons. It’s in his voice, in his breath, and in his presence. And even though she won’t say it, even though she doesn’t agree with saving the demon, it's in Neytiri’s smile, as she looks at you, from the entrance.
“I will place warriors to stand guard on the outside, but your Tsahìk tells me that your companion will not wake any time soon,” Tonowari relays the message to you too, even though you had just heard it.
“There is a sleeping draft in the food I have given him,” Mo’at hums as she finishes redressing the demon’s wounds.
The older woman has been suspiciously quiet since arriving in the village, her eyes observing where her mouth does not. You figure that she knows more than she’s letting on, more than she’s ready to relay - or, perhaps, more than you are ready to know. Taking a deep breath, you nod your head in understanding.
“Tomorrow, I will teach you how to dress his wounds,” It’s spoken with such finality that you take a moment to understand what she’s saying.
You hadn’t expected Mo’at to handle the demon for you, but a small part of you had hoped that you could steer clear of the task. Especially after the whole cave incident. Still, you understood that he was your responsibility and that his healing ultimately would be up to you. Getting a better hold on Spider, you turn back to the big leader in front of you.
“There is food in that basket,” He hums, presenting a huge basket by the entrance that you hadn’t noticed before now. “I will come by tomorrow morning to help you settle in, but nesting materials were brought in earlier. This will be your kelku for as long as you stay here, so make yourselves comfortable,”
“Thank you, Olo’eyktan,” You nod your head, grateful that you were taken care of like this.
“Your son has already settled into the village, although new to the sea. He will be safe even without your eyes on him,” Tonowari smiles gently down at you as he reaches a hand out to grab Spider’s shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.
“I will see you tomorrow,” Mo’at hums as she passes you, effectively leaving you behind.
With your Tsahìk’s exit, Tonowari leaves the marui pod, your new kelku, while the warriors who had been standing guard on the inside followed their Olo’eyktan. The flap to the kelku is closed behind the last warrior and just like that, you were left alone with your son and his father. Breathing a sigh of relief and dread, you look down at your son, finding his beautiful brown eyes already looking up at you. You didn’t know how to settle the unease you felt deep within you, so when Spider unlocked his legs around your waist, started building your nest to keep you occupied.
By the time the nest was finished and your heads hit the soft materials, your worries had numbed your mind enough for you to feel lifeless. Sleep, luckily, greeted you fairly quickly. Your exhaustion from the past few weeks catching up with you. Pulling Spider closer, you fell into a sleep so deep not even the demon could pull you out of it. Tomorrow would bring new sets of worries, new challenges you weren’t ready to tackle yet, but for now, you let your body relax, knowing that your son was safe where he slept in your arms.

The Colonel scrunched his eyes as he woke up, groggy, with a long grunt. Massaging his eyes, he wiped his face with his large hand before letting it drape lazily across his bare chest. It was funny. This new body was still odd to him, making lucid dreams that would sink him deep into his subconscious. The tip of his tail moved contently as Miles realized how good he felt. He hadn’t slept this good in a long ass time. Then he felt something tugging below.
He was hard.
Miles brushed his fingers over his briefs and felt… a wet spot. He blew through his nose, shaking his chin, for how stupid this was. The last thing he needed was waking up with a giant boner getting his underwear all gross.
The Recom pinched his nose, ears tipping back, at the embarrassing memories flooding his mind from the dream he had. Now he understood his dilemma. He saw you in the shower. Your skin was glistening from the steam, breasts puckered. His mind relived every detail of you. Your soggy hair falling down the valley of your chest with the plum hue of your tight nipples peaking forward made his heartrate skip.
No wonder he was leaking.
Miles chewed his bottom lip, clearly frustrated by how a pair of tits could rile him up. So, thumbs hooked along his waistband and slowly pulled them down until his member was free, the air kissing the shining tip of his purple erection.
A hand gently seized the base and gave an experimental stroke upwards, causing Miles to tense, lungs caught briefly, from how sensitive the head was.
Oh, he needed this bad.
~
Your hand shielded your vision. The sunlight made your eyes hurt momentarily as your pupils adjusted to the bright environment around you, unused to nature's blinding rays after being tucked away inside florescent rooms for a week.
The deck was subtle yet dangerous with armed military men who gave pointed looks at you and the Recombinants trailing behind the Colonel in front. Ardmore was nowhere to be seen, yet, as she said she had something small to take care of before seeing you out.
Spider skipped beside you trying to keep up with the heavy footfall from the rest of the group. You tried to stay behind with him but it was hard when you’re told to be joined at the hip with the Colonel, for he was the one who would soon hold the key to your life once the General showed up to give him the remote.
“You’re in a good mood,” Lyle teased.
The Colonel’s cheeks puffed giving his friend a cocky smirk.
You were walking right behind him and he couldn’t shake the image of your perky tits out of his head. But soon that moment of weakness would pass when the banana Ikran came into view, the whole point of gathering his men out here in this damn heat.
Sylway flung her wings hard back and forth, taking mid-flight then landing, repeating this futile action. The lock and chain around her neck kept her attached to the Bridgehead concrete.
Wide eyes almost watered from the sickening screams your Ikran made. You didn't know how long she had been like this, but she appeared to have lost weight and her neck was pink from the chain's tight hold on her. Spider mimicked your emotions. He was angry and in pain from seeing the creature squirm in its confines.
You wanted to run to her and flee away from here with Spider as fast as the winds could carry you, but you knew Ardmore still held the remote to your own chain. Fingernails indented the inside of your palm from how the anger boiled inside you, blood growing hot, lips pursed.
Stepping forward, you asked to nobody in particular but loud enough to disturb anyone in earshot range, “Why is she like this!?”
One solider answered, “She flew down and began attacking our men.”
“Could she have been landing to rest her wings!? No tamed Ikran would attack unless provoked by your machine guns!” It took everything in you not to pick up the human soldiers and toss them overboard.
“Watch your talk!” Lyle growled, his black shades reflecting your face when you sneered at his comment.
“Fuck you!” you snapped.
Your legs carried you past the group in hard struts. The Colonel didn’t stop you. He felt a tinge of regret that he hadn’t told you sooner that your banshee had to be bolted down.
You approached Sylway and she purred weakly when you slid your hand along her brow bone and looked into her red eyes. She blinked a few times and swayed her tail. It was her way of saying 'I see you, sister. I am alright.'
Reaching a hand over your shoulder, you took your braid.
“Boss, you really gonna let her do this?” Lyle leaned in and asked quietly to Miles.
With massive arms crossed, “I’m gathering intel,” was all he replied. Lyle pouted with a nod, satisfied with that answer. Truthfully, Miles was captivated and wanted to see how this bond between rider and banshee was made.
Your queue tendrils exposed themselves while you gently guided Sylway’s queue with your hand until both wrapped together and connected tightly. You could feel her anguish. She was in fact starving and in pain from how the chain rubbed her skin dry over the long days in the sun. But she was happy to be with you again.
"That's freaky."
"She really gonna ride that thing?"
“I can give her something better to ride~”
“You’re so fucking gross. Bet it’s still only four inches.”
“Hey!”
Your eyes rolled around hard in their sockets while some of the Recoms whispered to themselves.
Turning your body, you glanced at Miles. “She needs to eat. She’s starving.” Then, bending a knee, you placed your foot on Sylway’s harness, and with an expert motion, you mounted your Ikran.
The edge of Miles’ lip tugged upward. This was incredible.
You were incredible.
Then your neck ignited with a brutal sting, causing your torso to buckle inward as you fell to the ground on your back, muscles tensing up as shock waves flooded your limbs. Sylway screeched and bounced against her chain again.
Brow furrowed deeply, the Colonel was taken aback by the power of the collar and the sight of you shuddering in agony of the ground.
Spider ran to your side, but couldn’t touch you in fear of being shocked too, then he screamed “Stop it! Please, don’t hurt her!” several times at only who you could assumed was that Bitch.
"No one authorized you to ride your banshee!" Ardmore yelled as she furiously stormed between the tall bodies of the Recoms until she stood upfront.
Panting heavily, your body relaxed on the ground when the electrical pulses stopped.
“Ah… fuck me…”
You twisted onto your stomach and slowly gathered yourself to your hands and knees, limbs feeling like heavy rocks and still trying to catch your breath.
"Why didn't y'all just shoot the damn thing when it landed!?” the General asked sternly.
“Sir, I thought I could master the banshee, but it’s been bonded with (Y/N) already so I kept it alive for her use later,” Miles replied hastily. “She and the kid can show us where to get our own. Banshee could give us a tactical advantage in the field against the insurgency.”
Ardmore whipped her head to you on the ground and then to the Recoms.
“You are dismissed,” the General barked. “I would like to speak with the Colonel alone for now.”
Miles and Ardmore debated from afar, but you could care less to keep up with the conversation as your ears rung, hobbling away with an arm around Lyle’s shoulder, of all people, but not before giving the Colonel a passing glance. You narrowed your eyes as you thought about how he was the only one who kept Sylway alive when all others wanted to put her down.
It was some time before the General and the Colonel reappeared. But soon you felt a sense of dread fall over you when you saw the thing that caused you so much pain earlier. Ardmore turned to Miles and held out her hand. He opened his palm and she gave him the remote.
“Here you go, Colonel. Hope she’s not too much to handle from here on out,” the general said upbeat. "If you fly anywhere the Colonel doesn't authorize, your throat gets cut. Understood?"
“You would like that, huh, bitch?”
"I don't understand a word of that mud language nor do I give a fuck."
"I said I won't fly away,” you responded too sweetly, head slanting lazily as your mock doe eyes traveled the length of the General face.
“Good,” then she brought her attention to the Recoms. “These two,” she gestured to you and Spider, “will give you guidance, for now. Learn well, and maybe we’ll see an end to this Na’vi revolt once and for all.”
Around you, the Recoms nodded their heads, fist pumping each other, riling themselves up like the one-dimensional jarheads they were. Things were going to get messy from here on out. Closing your eyes, you sighed and prayed to Eywa, hoping that she might hear you this time.
“Alright, let’s go,” Miles ordered, clapping his hands a few times, getting the Recoms to start filing towards the aircraft docks.
When you got closer to the designated airship that would take you away from here, all started to bend carefully beneath the heavy gunship blades and tuck their way inside the humming vessel. You and Spider were closer together naturally.
The kid looked in your direction and smiled, “That's not what you said.”
“Shut up,” you smirked while draping your large fingers over his head and shook them through his hair, wobbling the kid a little making him giggle, then you departed from his side, leaving for Sylway.
Miles watched from behind and wondered if he could ever do the same.
~
You yanked firm on Sylway’s harness for good measure. There was relief in your chest and airy lightness to your step. It wasn’t hard to debate which was better: stay here with the Bitch, or go with Miles and be in nature again. You’d be much happier to get away from Ardmore than remain here at Bridgehead. And at least you’d feel some resemblance of freedom.
While you were putting your boots on, much to your displeasure but at the behest of the Colonel to show the General you were ‘conforming,’ your body swayed and felt funny.
A flow of rapid beating formed around your cranium, causing your world to tip slightly. Your stomach churned with a little too much heat in your throat as you bent over the side of the dock and lurched forward this morning’s menu into the ocean. You took the back of your hand and wiped your mouth. Gross.
Fucking pills. Fucking collar. Fucking withdrawals! Fuck!
The Colonel stopped his trek in surprise, eyes adverting elsewhere, from the sight of you hunched over, round ass a little too far in the air, but soon your spine straightens and you picked yourself up.
“You good?” Miles inquired passively, ears rolled back with caution.
“Yes, I’m good,” you said slowly, out of breath.
Brow dewy, head a little faint, your hand found Sylway’s harness and leaned on her for support.
You pointed at the Colonel. “That’s twice I owe you.”
“I wasn’t keeping count,” he shrugged. “Besides, I needed to get that remote from Ardmore to gain mobility. Can’t keep needing her to approve your every step.”
It wasn’t a total lie. But he wouldn’t admit that he wanted to get away too. He wanted to hunt.
You blew out deeply with a shake of your chin, grinning. “Just take a ‘thank you’ already, Jesus…”
The Colonel grunted then headed to his ship.
~
The flight was peaceful. You loved being in the air, aside from the loud drum of gunship rutters flying closely near your Ikran. You weren’t being followed but it wasn’t a pleasant ride either, having the Recoms poking their heads out to watch you soar beside them, causing you to feel like some sort of celebrity, even if it was just briefly.
However, the Colonel was a constant in your peripheral vision. He held himself by the doorway at the belly of the gunship, watching you and everything that passed by. His eyes made you nervous, made you squirm inside, like his gaze would bore into your mind and see how his presence warmed your sheets at night, so you stayed focused on flying, eyes never faltering on the view in front, even though your mind was allowed to wander in secret.
It wasn’t long before the gunship arrived at your destination and landed. The Recoms exited the ship then regrouped beyond the tree line as they waited for you. Where the gunship took off, blowing the greenery flat and curving some of the smaller trees, you landed and dismounted from Sylway. Through your queue connection, you told her to find some food and take her time, much to her excitement.
The Ikran batted her wings and flew away.
Lyle groaned and asked why they didn’t take turns with you flying up the mountain on your banshee.
“Y’all wanted to go full tilt the Na’vi way,” you stated while getting on a knee and untying your laces. “This is how we do it.”
Tugging off the tight and uncomfortable leather from your feet, you tossed the boots at the Colonel with a wink to which he smugly grinned. He hated how you were taking advantage of this. Being in control only for a brief moment even though he had the device that could end you.
Here, you were in your element as you took hold of the rocks and vines and began climbing, hips and tail swaying from your expert movements. Spider soon followed, hopping up onto the giant rocks. You grabbed his elbow and threw him upwards as he clutched a vine before continuing to ascend the mountain like he did so many times in the past.
Miles felt a tightness in his groin while studying your climbing patterns, so he hurriedly chunked off his boots and began hoisting himself up the mountain to cover his mild erection. He loved a woman who could carry her own and test his limits.
Soon his men followed, up the long trek into the Hallelujah Mountains.
~
“Come on! Keep up losers!” Spider chimed from above.
You smiled through the pain bubbling inside your head from his upbeat spirit. He was so fast. You loved him, but you didn’t love the aches in your joints from your body protesting for you to get a fix. But you didn’t have them and everyday was growing slower, harder as you fought through what felt like wet cement.
You took a vine and tried to pull yourself up, but you became nauseated and needed a second to breathe. Spider patted your hand.
“You ok?” his brown eyes softened, staring at the droplets of sweat crowing your forehead, something that was rare for Na’vi since they had great stamina to withstand the harshness of Pandora’s frontier.
You cupped his small hand in your large one and grinned weakly. “I’ll catch up.”
Finally, you and the Recoms climbed into a hallow tunnel system of one of the giant, floating rocks. It was cool and damp, some of the water pattering onto your face and you sighed from how cold it felt on your radiating head. The Recoms also took a breath of relief for the tunnel looked like an easy ascension, able to be scaled without climbing, just basic walking.
Then you noticed the young frontrunner was missing.
“Spider?” Miles gruff voice echoed off the stone walls.
“Boo!” the kid jumped from between the cracks and startled some of the Recoms, making a few snicker at the ones who got scared.
You smiled timidly, hand over mouth, and away from everyone’s eyes.
This spot would do for a small pause before continuing to the peak.
After having a moment for you brain to stop buzzing, scanning around the boulders and stalagmites, you caught a hint of Miles’ backside disappearing around a shadowed corner.
Looking over your shoulder, like you were inspecting anyone else for confirmation that you weren’t crazy, you saw that all the Recoms were busy wiping their sweat off and drinking water, chatting lightly, some sitting down to rest their legs. Spider was perched on a rock and joking with Lyle about something that was muted by the waterfalls because you had creeped out of earshot distance while following the Colonel.
You turned your head back to the shadowed corner and allowed curiosity to guide your steps, carefully placing each foot on the rocks in slow strides. As you made your way into the cave, the air became cooler, much to your burning skin’s delight. Fingers wiped across your forehead and got some of the loose strands sticking to your hairline behind your ears. You began to miss your braids.
The caves echoed with the roaring life of water as you ventured further into the shadow of the tunnels. There were many and if someone wasn't careful could probably find themselves on the other side of a floating rock leading to nowhere. Your ears flattened when you heard the cracking sound of a pebble falling from the walls.
“Miles?” you hiss softly, heart skipping fast.
Then a large hand gripped your arm, one covering your mouth, making you welp and inhale violently through your nose as you were pushed back first into the harsh cave wall. You were pinned under Miles' weight, the hand bruising your arm moving fast to seize your side, just below the line of your breast. Your hands frantically pushed the Colonel's massive shoulders, nails raking his round biceps, only for him to suddenly release your mouth, to which you huffed.
"What the fuck, Miles!?" You hissed quietly.
“You’ve been acting strange since the beginning—” he now held your upper arm, thumb stroking your muscle slowly “—and I need to know if you’re compromised.”
“This is ridiculous!” you said as you squirmed, but his large fingers dug into your ribcage and held firm, keeping you trapped.
He leaned forward, face intruding too close making your skin tingle. Then you felt it. A leg, more specifically a knee, breaching the space between of your legs and settling idly against the stone that was painfully digging into your shoulder blades.
“I need to know—” your eyes held firm with his, faltering only slightly to sweep his features, while his thick voice filled your senses “—if I can trust you.”
You felt caged under his weight, his hands, his piercing eyes. Your cheeks flared from how close his breath and voice bated into your personal space, assaulting your eardrums from the throaty rumble of his voice. That same tone drumming into your legs and beating between your thighs. It was painful for you to stand straight when you wanted desperately to fall onto his large thigh and ride that fucking knee that wouldn't budge any damn higher.
The Colonel’s face remained stoic, lips twitching, as he kept his amusement hidden the best he could. He would kill himself first before allowing you to see his want for you. How he yearned for you to melt already so he could fuck you against this cave wall.
But he wanted to indulge… wanted to see how far you’d allow him to tip the edge.
No matter how hard you tried to hide it, he saw you twitch with need in the slight tilt of your ears, the wetness dewing atop your lip, and the way your tail swatted only to curl tightly when he did finally lift his knee higher and rub deep into your heat.
“Fine—!” your breath hitched “—I use.”
You felt a thumb wander the expansion of the underside of your soft mound. It glided smoothly over your shirt back and forth in long, slow sweeps. The air was too thick around as your mind became heavy.
“Use?” Miles raised his brow.
He was close, but you were still unsure, unwilling to spill your guts.
So, his hand at your side inched upwards. Now his thumb ran lazily over your shirt with eager, feather-like pressure to find your tight, puckered nipple tenting the fabric. Your toes curled when it grazed the hard pebble, gently bobbing the peak side to side with every short pass.
“I use meds to get high, OK?” you growl, jerking around in the Colonel’s grasp until he finally lessened his grip and pulled back.
“Withdrawals…?” he concluded, more to himself then at you.
“Yeah, ain’t that a bitch,” you puffed, once uptight posture now slacking along the tunnel.
“Does anybody else know?”
“No,” you assert, “and I’d like to keep it that way…please…”
The hands that held you disappeared quickly, leaving you feeling hollowed out, as Miles stepped back, expression firm with ears slanted back.
“You…” he started, “…should go before anyone thinks you’ve run off.”
With a small shake of your head, your tongue swirled around a canine as your eyes glanced around and rolled in annoyance. Your heartbeat was rapid from your mind reliving how you just confessed for the first time to your sins, in front of the last person you wanted to know, but somehow your body felt…lighter.
You plucked yourself from the wall and headed into the tunnels to return to the other Recoms, leaving the Colonel to mentally toss over your words, but also think about how you felt so good under his weight. Your nipples were indeed everything he had imagined.
~
The rest of the climb to the top of the mountains was quiet between you and the Colonel. Spider and the rest of the Recoms were the only ones who broke the silence with friendly banter amongst themselves. You had to focus on keeping up a tough front because you didn’t want Miles to see that you were flushed, legs still shaky, by what happened in the caves. The phantom sensation of his finger prodding your nipple lingered at your breast causing your cheeks to burn hotter every time the memory of Miles pushed against you crossed your vision.
Eventually the team made it to the Ikran’s territory. The large creatures screamed in protest and flew away from your approach. Holding their guns close, some of the Recoms flinched as the flying lizards flapped away overhead. Spider found a fallen log that he crouched and balanced himself on, unafraid, before the rest of the group huddled together, using this log as a barrier between them and the dangers screeching from afar.
The kid sat between you and the Colonel, you eventually seating yourself closer to him as you were about to educated Miles on the proper way to tame an Ikran, only for you to notice that Lyle was loading a rifle with a vile of strange liquid.
Your ears irked back until Spider laughed, causing you and Miles to turn heads at the boy.
“Na’vi kids younger than me can do this with their bare hands.”
“Jake Sully did it the hard way?”
“What do you think?”
The Colonel was taken aback, ears flicking, then the small edge of his mouth tugged faintly as you observed him mentally accepting the challenge of getting his Banshee the ‘hard way.’
You stayed behind as the Colonel slowly took guarded steps into the heart of the Ikran nest, effortlessly laying his queue over his shoulder, a recall to what he had seen you do. He breathed a few deep inhales to calm his heart before one of the creatures noticed him and screeched in his direction, prompting Miles to hiss back to proclaim his contest.
“This is gonna be good,” Spider joked to Lyle.
The leader smiled, “Alright, just you and me Cupcake~”
Then the fight ensued, with the Colonel punching the Banshee before jumping and seizing the lizard’s neck with his limbs.
Of course he would punch an Ikran.
You studied the fight and gripped a ghost knife at your side that wasn’t there anymore. Ardmore instructed that you wouldn’t have any weapons on your person, making your lips purse in frustration. Then your chest fell when Miles tumbled over the cliff with the Ikran.
“SHIT!” you ran over to the edge. Spider appeared beside you with the same concern while examining the clouds below for the Colonel.
Putting your thumb and index finger between your lips, you blew hard and whistled for Sylway, but Lyle clasped a hand on your shoulder.
“The fuck you think you’re doing!?”
“Do you want Quaritch to fall to his death!?” you snapped, forearm swatting away the Corporal’s grip. Then a loud, winded swoosh propelled itself onto the cliffside.
“Yeah, that’s right!” Miles hollered victoriously from atop his Ikran.
Spider beamed while the rest of the Recoms rejoiced and fisted their hands in the air. You exhaled through your nostrils in relief and allowed your mouth to pull into a wide smile.
“Yeah, Boss! Get some!” Lyle shouted happily beside you.
Your feet were light when you hopped over and down the mountainous rocks away from the Recoms when Sylway batted her wings to a halt as she landed on the side of the mountain. Toes gripped tightly to the harness around your Ikran’s neck as you tossed yourself over her back and took off into the air.
Finding Miles enjoying himself, you flew your mount level with his and viewed him over your shoulder, the wind carrying your loose tresses across the breeze.
“Hell yeah!” he shouted at you from afar.
Miles couldn’t believe he was actually flying – a pipedream for any man back on Earth. Watching you fly in front of him, he studied your form, the way your hair flew behind your backside, the way your teeth beamed, and how the sunlight highlighted the amber of your crinkled eyes when you glanced at him.
After years of emptiness controlling your life, your chest suddenly burst with happiness. Taming an Ikran was a rite of passage and a time of excitement for any warrior, so you didn’t hide that you were somewhat proud of Miles for making tsaheylu.
Then the edges of his mouth neutralized into a tight line when his eyes traveled to your neck, the lights of the deadly collar flickering, mocking, that it was still on and alive, like a parasite.
It was a noose, and he had the lever to activate it.
He quickly adverted his eyes forward and fixated on learning to navigate with you. His heart pulled low when your smile fell as you noticed he was serious again.
Back to business, you guessed.

[Deleted scene]
Your eyes traveled along the details of the trees above while tuning out the Colonel's speech he was handing his men. Then he started listing away the skills they'd need to get inside the mind of Jake Sully something about that 'full-tilt' he had mentioned to you in the shower bay.
"We eat Na'vi, ride Na'vi, think Na'vi—"
Boredom getting the best of you sloped against a log near Spider, mouth moving to your invasive thoughts as you muttered behind the Colonel's last item with "Fuck Na'vi…"
Miles’ eyes rounded, ears twitched back, then the whole group turned to your position in collective shock.
Your face burned tightly.
Oops…
Then the Colonel broke the silence, “Wanna bet?”

Here is the unfinished Recom Miles Quaritch x Female Reader fic I was working on for those curious about it 👉👈 (I may decide to finish this some time later but we'll see)
~
Obsesión (unfinished fic)
Avatar Way of Water Fic
Rating: 18+
Pairing: Recom Miles Quaritch x Female Reader
⚠️ Must warn y'all before you read this, I write dubcon/noncon stuff. Don't read if you don't like this. ⚠️
"Fuck," he softly hissed when he pulled the covers away, eyes roaming over the expanse of your nude body with its many curves and flares.
You were such a tiny thing compared to him. You were nearly half his size, your pliant flesh sure to feel euphoric against the firmness of his own. If he placed his hands around your waist, he was sure his fingertips would meet– only further emphasizing the size difference between the both of you. He could grab and position you in any way of his choosing, knowing you wouldn't be able to do anything to stop him or his bold advances.
Taking him inside you seemed like an impossibility but the thought of you struggling and pleading beneath him for more sent a shudder through him. You didn't know the full extent of his obsession with you. He'd wanted you for so long and now you were his for the taking. He'd make sure to imprint every part of him inside your body until you couldn't live without him.
Quaritch's shaft jerked with interest at the small whimper you let out when you rubbed your thighs together. You muttered in your sleep, a near pained expression in your face as you tugged your oversized shirt further off your heated flesh. The effects of the drug he planted into your drink had you feeling restless and hypersensitive. Quaritch's fingers twitched at the light sheen of sweat covering your body, his mind filling with indecent thoughts as his tail swung excitedly behind him.
Reaching for your tense knees, Quaritch took a deep breath– trying to control his excitement— before spreading you open to his gaze.
He groaned hotly, his eyes dilating and dick throbbing at the sight of your engorged little clit and slick-ridden pussy. He could see your little hole clenching around nothing, almost as if it was begging for something to fill it and sate the ache inside it. Rivulets of your honey ran down the bottom of your ass, making a mess of the sheets below you and making Quaritch squeeze the fat of your thighs painfully to compose himself.
Quaritch licked his lips slowly, a flush staining his cheeks before leaning his head down...

Previous chapter | Masterpost | Chapter 7
Waking up to the demon’s annoying voice, you growl furiously as he steps closer to the cot on the floor which substitutes as your nest. You’re crouched protectively over Spider’s still sleeping form, your anger rising at the rude skxawng before you. Looking into the demon’s eyes, however, proved more difficult than it should have been. The sharp yellow depths had plagued you the entire night, waking you with both fear and horror.
“He always sleep this soundly?” The demon asks, lowering himself to a crouch a few steps away from your cot.
“No,” You sneer, insulted that he would even ask.
“Wake up on the wrong side of the bed today, sweetcheeks?” He grins, the sides of his eyes crinkling as he finds humor in whatever it was he said.
“What?” You bark back, which only makes the demon grin wider.
“Doesn’t matter,” He waves his long hand in the air between you, “Ready for a new day of teaching?”
“It is day already?” You can’t help but ask, turning your head around the always-lit, cold room.
“Yeah, I guess you wouldn’t know, now would you, sweetcheeks…” He seems to fall deep into thoughts at that, his brows furrowing slightly before he nods gently to himself and gets up to his feet. “Breakfast is in ten, be ready,”
And with that, the demon is out of the see-through metal doors once more. The second swishing of the door wakes Spider, his messy head lifting in confusion as he looks in the direction of the door. Your son had always been slow to wake up and the fact that he still was, brought you much joy. Looking down at him, you can’t help but brush the hair back from his face. Brown, warm eyes meet yours as he smiles up at you.
“You’re still here,” He mumbles before yawning and stretching.
“I will always be here, my life,” You hum back at him, watching as his gentle smile morphs into a smirk.
“What do you think they’ll have us do today?”
“Teaching them ‘the Na’vi way’, what else?” You say, trying your best to sound like the demon.
Spider snorts before falling into a fit of laughter. Looking down at your son, you revel in just how grown he had become. Glittering brown eyes look up at you, his face bathed in joy as he gently pulls your queue.
“That was so incredibly bad, mom,” He grins, crossing his arms over his chest, “He sounds more like he’s constantly constipated and angry,”
“You’re right,” You can’t help but chuckle at his description of the demon, thinking that it’s spot on.
“And what are we laughing at?” The demon asks as he walks through the see-through metal doors, carrying a plate of some kind.
Immediately, the good mood turns sour as he walks further into the room, the see-through metal door swishing closed behind him. Dropping the plate on the table, you look at it with distaste. There are two light brown squares with something a little darker brown on top of it. It’s clumpy and smells strange. On top of that, something red and sweet-smelling was spread. Looking up, you watch as the demon pushes sticks through two squares in his hand before placing them on the table too.
“Eat up,” He grounds, taking a step back before placing his long hands on his narrow hips.
“What is that?” You can’t help yourself from asking, wrinkling your nose at the strong smell.
“Peanut butter n’ jelly on toast and milk,” He deadpans, pointing one of his hands at the food as if it should have been obvious what it was.
In your peripheral, you can see Spider curiously approaching the table, nose in the air as he steps closer. Hissing, you wrap your hand around his upper arm, pulling him back. You will not let this demon poison your son with this food-like substance.
“This is not food,” You sneer at the demon, watching as he sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“If you’re not gonna eat, then get moving,” He barks back, slapping his hand over the box that opens the see-through metal door.
Outside, Lyle and Mansk stand waiting, their expressions unreadable behind their eye shiels. Following the demon, you step out of your metal room once more, closely followed by the other two. Walking through the corridors you take note of each and every turn, trying your best to remember them. One day, you will have the chance to escape this place, be it in here or out in the forest. You would need the knowledge.
The helicopter ride this time is silent, the tension thick in the air between you. You’re taken to the same place as yesterday, but this time, instead of using the ropes, the demon jumps from the hovering helicopter, landing ungracefully and too hard on the ground. The grunt can be heard over the sound of the helicopter wings. Rolling your eyes, you look back at the others.
“Take the rope down, I will teach you later,” You watch as they lower their ropes like last time, getting ready to lower themselves with their feet once more.
Motioning for Spider to get on your back, you wait until he’s settled safely before letting yourself drop down to the ground where the demon still mutters what had to be curses. His eyes are narrowed, his ears slicked back as he looks up at you, his anger so obvious it’s almost dripping off of him.
“You should not jump, when you do not know how to,” Walking past the demon, you can hear him grumbling something behind you as the unit snickers.
Spider crawls down from your back as you continue to walk into the forest, looking for Puffball, Spartan, or Yovo trees for some fruit. On your way, you passed a few Dapophet trees, but for now, you would focus on the fruit trees and their roots. Looking back at the unit, you notice how all of them have dropped their boots, some of them even shortening their leg clothing as Z-Dog had. Smiling to yourself you see Spider running in front, helping you find what you needed.
“How much further, Miss?” Brown pipes up from the back.
“Until we find what we looking for,” You smile back at him, noting how he breathes heavily.
Walking over to him, you put your hand on his forehead, noting how he’s burning up. You’re not even surprised if what the demon served you for breakfast is what they eat on a daily basis. Taking his wrist, you pull him with you, nodding for Spider to continue his search. Luckily you don’t have to look for much longer.
“Here, eat this and sit down,” You pick a few puffball leaves, giving them to him before walking over to the Yovo tree, taking a few fruits from it.
“It tastes… I don’t know the word. It’s good for you,” You explain to him just as he’s about to eat a leaf. “This tastes sweet,”
“What are you giving him?” The demon steps up and asks, his voice gruff as his brows furrow in worry.
“Food,” You deadpan, crossing your arms as you pin him with a stare.
“He ate this morning,” He counters as if you were playing a game of who-knew-what.
“Your food is no good, Na’vi needs more,” At that, the demon doesn’t have anything to say. Instead, he gets a worried look on his face. It softens your anger at him.
Gathering the unit, you keep an eye on Brown as he eats while you explain to them how a Na’vi at any stage in life needs to eat and how to recognize the safe and easy fruits, leaves, and roots. Lyle is surprisingly enthusiastic about the different foods and how they’re prepared, asking questions and volunteering to try things first. You’ve noticed that the others aren’t as interested until they get to try whatever it is you’re doing, only then do they enthusiastically tackle the task as if it were a competition between them. During all of this, the demon keeps to the back, silently observing, his curiosity maybe the biggest of them all.
Days go by in much the same way. They come to get your son and you in the morning before leaving straight away, eating breakfast in the forest instead of the ridiculous things they ate before. After Brown’s fever, they got a clear picture that their new bodies needed different kinds of food from the ones they were used to eating.
Their jumping was improving, some of them even dared to take the first jump from the helicopter, while others hesitated a little. The demon still didn’t dare to jump after his failed first attempt. You still remember how stiff he had been the day after his first jump, playing it off as sleeping wrong in his nest, but you knew. You could see it in the way he walked, in the way he held himself, and in how he learned how to jump the right way.
Today, you started teaching them how to hunt for fish. You were no hunter in your tribe, no gatherer or warrior, but you could still fend for yourself when you needed to. The unit loved hunting, all of them taking to it as if they had done nothing else in their lives, the demon and Mansk maybe more so than the others. Their prayers were a bit difficult, but in the end, they mostly got it.
For the first time, you had decided to let them experience the eclipse and all that the darkness brought to Pandora. In preparation, you had searched for a spot that didn’t cross paths with any predator's hunting routes, praying to Eywa that you would not accidentally cross paths with one.
“Stay close and do not wander,” You remind them again just before the eclipse is complete, bathing Pandora in total darkness for only a few minutes before Eywa’s children awaken.
The bioluminescence takes their breaths away, the entire unit turning in circles as they watch the forest come to life before them in the darkness. The demon, standing beside Spider and you, wears an expression of complete awe, his eyes wide, ears twitching as his tail swishes behind him. The curiosity all but rolls off of him as he reaches a hand out to touch a flower. It glows brighter, illuminating his long fingers before the ground beneath his feet lights up, glowing brightly.
In awe, you watch as atokirina's falls from the skies, slowly making their way down to the demon. The ground he stands on still glows as the first one lands on him, the demon raising his hand as if to swat it away before looking at you. The way you stare at him however, halts his movement, and only a moment later, he lowers his hands, letting it hang by his side as more atokirina’s land on him. By the time they’ve stopped falling, they’re covering him from top to toe, breathing deeply with him as the demon looks at you for guidance.
“What are they?” He rumbles low as if to not disturb them.
“They are atokirina, woodsprites,” You start, swallowing audibly, “They are sacred - pure spirits,”
“What are they doing on me then?” The demon tries to be funny, but surprisingly, you can hear the uncertainty behind his voice.
“Eywa has spoken,” You whisper, more so to yourself than to any of the others.
With a soft swoosh, the spirits lift from the demon’s body, slowly floating away on their quest to wherever Eywa sent them next. You’re left staring at the demon for long moments, his own eyes staring at you. When the eclipse ends, you’re not sure what to do next, so you lead them back to the waterfall, letting them play as you continue to stare at the demon.
“Listen, darling,” He starts as he walks up to you, startling you out of your thoughts. But instead of continuing, he falters before sighing deeply, his long fingers pinching the bridge of his nose again as you end up just standing there in silence.
The darkness of night has wrapped around Pandora by the time you’re at the base once more. Walking after the demon to your metal room, you’re surprised to see that you’re not taking the usual way. The demon leads you through dark corridors that lead to a big community room of some sort. You walk on through it, taking note of the beautiful big see-through metal walls. How you long to be able to go into the forest at will. Walking into yet another corridor, which leads to another and then another one after that, you notice how the doorways are your size this time. Still, the demon keeps on walking until you reach the end.
He swipes his hand over the box on the door, waiting until it lights green before pushing the door open. It leads to another room, this one with a see-through metal wall overlooking the forest in the distance. Walking over to the wall, you lay your hand on the cold metal, longing to be back with the Great Mother again. Turning, you catch the demon off guard, his eyes gentle, lips slightly parted.
“This will be your new room,” He lets you know, face hardening once more as his shoulders straighten. “Corporal Wainfleet is on that side of the wall and I’m on this side, so don’t try anything,”
You watch as he points left and right, noting that the demon’s room is the one at the end. Scenting the air, however, you notice how the room smells like Lyle. Instantly, you feel your heart clench for the man. It’s not easy to just uproot and move what was once yours, to do so for an enemy could not be easy for the gentle man.
“I will say thank you to Lyle tomorrow,” You inform the demon, watching as shock spreads across his face before curiosity sets in. Showing the demon gratitude, you decide to explain how you knew. “Na’vi has good smell. This room smell like him,”
“You can smell and place our differences?” The demon asks, eyes wide as he lowers his head in curiosity.
“It is the Na’vi way,” You smile up at him, noting how he becomes deep in thought.
“And you recognize Lyle’s scent?”
“Yes,”
“Do you recognize the others too?” He prompts, looking at you with some kind of wonder.
You just nod, watching as he straightens once more, still deep in thought. Spider shifts in your arms, still deep asleep. Smiling down at him, you note just how much he’s grown in the last year. He’s becoming a young man too quickly, yet not fast enough. Times like this, when he would crawl into your arms or fall asleep on you, had become fewer as he grew. You couldn’t help the small part of you that was grateful to prolong these moments, your motherly instincts not ready to let your son go just yet.
“Do you recognize my scent too?” The question is asked so softly, so filled with genuine curiosity, that you almost miss it, too wrapped up in your own guilty musings.
“Yes,” You still hear yourself reply gently.
Looking up from your son’s sleeping face, you’re met with the sharp yellow ones of the man standing before you. There’s something so soft in them this time, it pulls you in, captivates you, freezing you to the spot. There’s something being said without words, but you can’t hear it, too lost in the demon’s eyes to notice anything at all.
“What’s going on?” Spider asks from your arms, breaking the spell that had wrapped itself around you.
Immediately, the demon breaks eye contact, the harsh mask sliding over his face once more. Nodding, he turns around and walks toward the door, opening it briskly before slamming it shut again, leaving you staring after him in silent bewilderment.
“Mom, where are we?” Spider climbs down from your arms, looking around the lit room with curiosity.
“Our new room,” You turn to him, smiling gently as you see him touch and lift things.
“Seriously?” Spider turns to you, the surprise clear on his face.
“That’s what he said,”
You watch as Spider walks around the room, touching and inspecting decorations as he goes. There’s a black shiny thing on the wall opposite the big nest, another door beside the one the demon had walked through. Walking over to the nest, you scent it, noticing how it doesn’t smell of Lyle at all. In fact, it doesn’t smell like anyone, the scent strong and harsh like the metal room you came from. Maybe it had not been used before? But then, where had Lyle been sleeping?
A sharp sound came from the black shiny thing on the wall as Spider fickled with a black stick. Taking hold of your son, you lift him up and out of danger as you take the closest thing to you and throw it at the thing. It whines and screams, its big eye blinking rapidly before eventually closing its eye again. Screaming at it, you press yourself to the furthest corner of the room, placing Spider safely behind you as you stand ready for the next attack.
“What in the everloving tarnation is going on?” The demon bursts through the door, knife at the ready, before a few of the others follow close behind him, weapons at the ready too.
“Stay away, demon!” You scream at him, furious that he would be cruel enough to lull you into a sense of safety before leaving you in a room filled with hidden danger.
“What did you do?” He walks up to the dead creature on the wall, touching the big closed eye before putting his hands on his almost bare hips, a deep scowl on his face.
“It is dead.” You hiss back proudly, watching as his face darkens at his failed attempt at killing you.
“Lord, give me strength,” The demon mumbles, his long fingers pinching the bridge of his nose as he closes his eyes for a moment. “It’s a TV,”
“You can’t exactly expect them to know these things, boss,” Lyle chuckles from behind him, pulling a hushed chuckle from Mansk and Brown behind him.
“Thank you for your brilliant observation, Corporal,” The demon snaps back before turning to you again. “It’s not dangerous, sweetheart,”
“It tries to kill us,” You hiss back just as furiously.
“What happened?” He sighs, his long hands back on his all-but-bare hips once more.
“I touched that stick over there and the thing started screaming at us,” Spider steps out from behind you, pushing your hand, which automatically shoots over his chest protectively, away.
“What, this one?” The demon lifts the black stick in his hand, holding it up toward Spider.
Hissing, you try to shove Spider behind you once more, but instead, he bends down and walks through your legs with a whined “Mom,” before walking over to the demon. Distressed, you hiss and yip at him to come back, but he’s too curious about the stick in the demon’s hand. Heart beating rapidly in your chest, you look for anything to use as a weapon against the demon and his warriors, finding nothing. Your breath is coming faster and your sight becomes cloudy at the edges, but before you can do much of anything, you watch as the demon ruffles your son’s hair.
“Go back to your mother, kid,” He nods toward you, gently pushing Spider back in your direction. With a shaky hand, you reach for your son as he looks up at you.
“What’s wrong, mom?” Spider asks, his voice unsure of what’s going on with you.
“I’m okay, my love,” You try to reassure him, but you don’t feel all that reassured by your own words.
“Leave,” The demon grunts, waiting for his unit to leave the room before he sits down against the wall. “Take your time, sweetness,”
Using the wall behind you for support, you slide down to the ground, taking Spider with you. The demon’s sharp eyes are trained on you, once more locking you into whatever this is. You find yourself taking deep breaths before slowly letting it out, repeating the motion until your heart stops racing within your chest. It’s only then that you notice the demon breathing with you, silently guiding you as you slowly calm down. Closing your eyes, you lean your face into Spider’s hair, breathing him in, grounding you. He’s safe. He’s right there in your arms. Unharmed.
“We good, darling?” The demon drawls, voice raspy and rough.
Opening your eyes again, you take in how he looks. His body is bare, save for his weird-looking black tweng. He still holds his knife, but the blade is facing away from you. For a second, you wonder why they wear all of their clothes when they obviously have a form of tweng beneath it. Maybe it was an armor?
“Let me make it up to you?” He continues after you give him a slight nod of your head.
Getting up to his feet, the demon slowly walks over to you, extending his long arm for you to take. Looking at it with distrust, you huff through your nose before getting up on your own. The demon lifts the corner of his mouth before stepping back, giving you space.
“Come with me and I’ll show you around,”
You follow after the demon, listening intently as he describes different things inside the room. You especially loved how you could make the room illuminated and dark at will. The waterfall inside the second door, the bathroom, was oddly disappointing once you actually realized what it was. The water didn’t smell right and you quickly decided that you wouldn’t use it, instead cleaning the both of you when you got to go out.
“This um…” The demon stops beside what he called a sink, a weird look on his face, “This is where you do your business, sweetheart,”
“What business?” You ask him, not really getting why his face turns darker at the word.
“You know, when you need to relieve yourself,” He mumbles, and then it dawns on you.
“In there?” You ask him, interest piqued. The sky people sure had weird things.
“When you’re done, you just push this one and it flushes,” The demon continues, face growing darker. Walking out of the small bathroom, you watch as the demon stops before the tv, mumbling something to himself before turning around to look at you.
“Follow me,” He grunts before moving towards the still-open door.
You follow after him, Spider walking in front of you excited about the new stuff that he had just learned. The demon swipes his hand over the box on the next door, opening it before stepping aside, his arm outstretched to allow you to walk through the door first. The room is sparsely lit, a soft glow coming from a lamp in the corner by the demon’s big nest. His bed was a size bigger than the one in your room, the blankets stretched and neatly tucked into the sides. In the middle of the floor, his discarded clothing lay dumped. Your scream had obviously interrupted him in the middle of taking them off for the night. Stepping up beside you, the demon bends down to collect them, mumbling a gentle “Pardon,” before hanging the clothes on the back of a chair. The room smells so intensely of him that had you not already known that this was the demon’s room, there would be no doubt in your mind about it after scenting the air.
“This is called a remote control,” He drawls lazily, holding up a black stick identical to the one in your room. “If you press the red button here, the tv will turn on. Now, when you do, the screen will come to life… no that’s not the right words,”
“The TV shows live images from Earth. Plays, news reports, and so on,” He waits for the words to sink in before continuing. “Let’s try,”
And with that, he presses the red button on the remote control. The TV does come to life, the screen showing some kind of weird forest landscape. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, fascinating in a way you didn’t know. Spider walks forward and you immediately stiffen. You don’t get far however as the demon hurries to lay his hand over the screen, showing you that there’s no danger to it. Slowly, you inch forward after Spider, watching as he too lays his hand on the screen, chuckling uncertainly before mumbling how cold it was. The demon smiles down at him before he looks up into your eyes, nodding his head for you to join them.
“Come on, mama, it won’t hurt you, I give you my word,” The smile on his face grows warm, his eyes glittering in the light from the TV.
You inch forward, hand outstretched, and finally touch the screen. It’s like Spider says. The screen is smooth and cold beneath your fingers. You can feel your ears pointing forward with interest as you gently tap it with your fingers, still, it does not react.
“Why was it screaming? Was it in pain?” You ask, to which the demon chuckles low, a gentle smile on his face.
“Probably just opened a channel with an action movie or something. Lord knows what Lyle watches at night,” He answers, rubbing the back of his head before stopping, “A movie is like a retelling of a story… or something,”
“Movie,” You mumble to yourself, trying to wrap your mind around what it could be like.
“Hold on, let me find a movie for y’all,” The demon turns to the TV, pointing the remote control at it.
The screen changes each time he presses a button on the thing. With wide eyes, you watch as the scenery changes after a few seconds. This continues until suddenly the demon stops with a triumphant “ah”. The TV shows a foreign landscape with sky people on it, a small family with a child. Furry animals, much like your direhorses but with fewer legs, walk around in fenced areas. The sky people wear odd clothing, a different kind from the ones walking around on Pandora. As they walk around inside the screen, you’re unable to look away from it, fascination holding you prisoner.
Somehow, you end up sitting on the floor, the big nest supporting your back as you stare at the TV. Spider lay in the nest behind you to the right, his head in his hands as he stares with a fascination you haven’t seen in him before. It makes your heart soar in your chest, the warmth spreading to a fond smile on your face, that he’s able to experience this. The demon spares chaste glances at you both, his ears at attention when Spider eventually falls asleep. You just intend to watch a little bit more before getting him to your own nest, but before you know it, you’ve fallen asleep too.
It’s bright and sunny when you wake up, and you’re so comfortably warm. Stretching, you rub your face into the warm surface, noting how nice and safe it smells. Smiling at Spider’s clinging arms around you, you sigh sleepily, opening your eyes, only to discover that it’s not Spider that’s holding you. The surface you’ve been sleeping on is blue, the chest broad and warm as the demon breathes beneath your head, his arms wrapped firmly around you as he rests his head on top of yours. Startling, you pull yourself out of his long arms, jumping to your feet, startling him awake in turn. Bleary yellow eyes look up at you before they pop open with alarm, his head turning as he looks around the room, finding nothing to have startled you. And then his eyes widened with realization.
Spider still sleeps soundly in the nest, his small figure curled up in his - in the demon’s blankets. You’re left staring at each other in silence for a long time, the demon’s face is unreadable, but his ears are pointed at you while his tail moves lazily behind him where he still sits on the floor. The tension is thick enough that Spider eventually wakes up, his eyes just as bleary as the demon’s had been as he looks around his surroundings with confusion. Not breaking eye contact with the demon, you move to sit in the nest. Dearing to look at your son, his beautiful brown eyes look up at you with a slight smile.
“Good morning, my dearest,” You smile at him, watching as he grins before swatting your hand away when you try to push his hair from his face.
“Morning, mom,” Spider yawns before stepping out of the warm nest to grab the remote control, effectively turning the TV on again.
The demon huffs a chuckle and shakes his head as he stands to his feet, excusing himself as he walks into his own bathroom. You can hear the shower running and the demon’s hissed mumbling through the closed door. Given a moment to yourself, you walk over to the see-through metal wall, placing your hand against it. What was happening to you? It wasn’t like you to be this unguarded, especially not while Spider was with you. Yesterday had been a lot, but you couldn’t have been so tired as to just fall asleep like that, especially not leaning up against the demon himself.
Shaking your head in frustration, you turn to look at your son. He wears a beautiful indulgent smile as he stares at the sky people inside the TV screen. He looks so happy about this new little discovery. The door to the bathroom opens and the demon steps out in his weird tweng. His short hair and queue are wet, but the rest of him is dry. His body is absolutely massive now that you actually have the time to look at him. You keep your eyes trained on him as he walks over to his clothes, applying them one by one as he covers up. A small part of you - a very small part - feels regret at not being able to see his long, strong torso and back anymore, as well as his thickly muscled thighs. It was a shame, really, but you respected the difference between tribes and what they wore. His would be no different. Distantly, you notice that he leaves his booths behind as he walks to the door, stepping out and closing it without looking back.
You let out a deep breath you didn’t know you were holding before sinking down into the nest beside Spider. Plopping back, you stare up at the ceiling before rolling around, curling up in the blanket Spider had used. It’s still warm and smells of him as you wrap it around you. Closing your eyes, you only intend to rest a little from the intense start of the morning, but before you know it, you’re deep asleep again, safely swaddled in a scent that makes you feel protected and loved.

As you came to, your vision slightly blurry, you stared down the barrel of a rifle. You were only out for a few second after the collision to your head, but it was enough for your hostage and Z-dog to have you cornered on the ground, your knife kicked to the side out of your reach.
You tsked and pressed your fingers to your scalp. Blood dripped from the wound.
Bitch.
Your former hostage that you would learn his name was Prager yanked you to your feet by your arm and took hold of your braid with a vice grip, giving you the same treatment you had given him. Z-dog patted you down and took your rifle, throwing it to one of her buddies near where Miles stood, before roughly clipping your hands together with orange handcuffs.
Prager shoved you forward and towards the group, knocking you to your knees in front of the Colonel.
You looked over to Lo’ak and slanted your head at him, your eyes squeezed into daggers as a way of telling him I’ll kill you.
The young Na’vi pinched his shoulders inwards timidly as his way of saying oops before deflecting his eyes to the ground.
Lyle came forward and punched you in the mouth, causing you to bend forward onto your bound hands and spit up blood. He said something about how that was ‘for Prager’ but you couldn’t tell exactly what he said because your head was ringing from that nasty punch. You wiped your mouth with your knuckles before Prager seized your braid again and held you upright.
Taking a handful of your necklaces, Lyle snickered to the others, “She really did go full native, huh?” Then ripped the jewels harshly from your neck, popping the strings.
Your heart ached as you watched the beads fall and spread into the mud, but you couldn’t let them win.
With a bloody toothed smile, you laughed, “Heh, you were always such an asshole to the ladies, Lyle.”
He grinned, fangs showing, fancying his work, “Nice to see you again too, bitch.”
Eywa please kill this fucker.
Lo’ak hissed at the men handling you, cussing all different kinds of things in Na’vi they couldn’t understand, and half of you hoped they never would.
Your vision was still a little watery but you could make out the forms standing before you, even little Tuk who you prayed had somehow gotten away. But life was cruel even to the innocent.
The wound to your brow began to crust and harden from the humidity, blood drying along your face. The sting of your lip indicated that somewhere it had split form Lyle’s punch. Poking your tongue forward, the pain doubled and you felt now big the cut was.
That’s gonna leave a mark.
Then you had to face the one man you thought you’d never see again.
Not in the flesh, you peered over to the rusty AMP. That was assured. But somehow, Miles in a Na’vi body.
“(Y/N)?” he squatted down to meet your gaze, bent index finger holding your face up as his thumb swiped your chin slowly.
“You’re dead,” you breathed, exhausted from being hit in the face twice.
“Yes,” Miles looked over his shoulder and nodded, “he’s dead. But me? I’m built with his memories and the strength of your people. A pretty potent mix.”
It was hard to look away from such a sight. His arms rippled with strength and had the same eagle tattoo sprawled across his chiseled bicep. The Colonel’s ears flattened while he inspected your Na’vi features, trying to figure out if he should like or hate your knew look. When he stood up, he was taller than you with a walk that screamed dominance and poise. And his eyes… you were completely transfixed on him.
“You’re just a cheap copy and paste of the original,” you spat.
Miles chuckled.
Hand resting on his holstered pistol, he used his other free hand to finger an upward motioned at your direction. You pinched your lips and grunted when Prager lifted you to your feet and stepped you closer to the Colonel.
Your head was almost level to his… almost. He was still intimidating but you noticed the soft swell of his lips, and the broadness to his shoulders. You felt so small near him as he stepped closer, Prager holding you head up to keep your eyes from looking away. He leaned in and you felt suffocated, engulfed by his sent, his stare, his fangs when he opened his mouth to speak.
“We regrouped in hell, given a second chance,” he said. “With my skills and knowledge of Jake Sully, I’ll find him. Oh, I’ll find him…” he bobbed his head, lips pursing briefly,” …even if I have to cut it out of each and every one of you tree huggin’ bastards.”
With that, he turned to face his men and instructed them to keep the ‘valuable hostages’ bound and close. He then cuffed his fingers around his neck and communicated with his base for evac.
You were worried about Spider. Having to meet his ‘father’ in another body, a much deadlier body, must’ve been terrifying.
“He’s not your father, Spider,” you reassured Spider.
“I know,” he pressed his lips.
Soon, eclipse fell and the night began to glow, allowing a different kind of life to take over the forest. Nocturnal creatures screeched and chirped. A drop fell atop of your head and you cussed that this couldn’t get any worse, then rain fell from the heavens and you cussed some more.
After a while, you started to tire from being away from your pills for so long. You tried to hold your head up but being punched twice and not having your daily intake of drugs fogged your brain, causing another massive headache to occur. Miles circled the group, assault rifle in hand. As you took note of his lean waste and massive arms, in your haze, you wondered what it felt like to touch those biceps.
Prager tugged your head back when you slacked forward.
Then a sound woke you up.
It was an echo. Your ears peaked from the message. There was another quick ‘whoop’ in the distance.
Mother was coming for her cubs.
Looking around you saw the same reaction from Spider and Lo’ak. Kiri started mumbling her prayers and Tuk scanned her eyes around the best she could while being retrained.
One of the soldiers told Kiri to shut up, moving him just right into position.
An arrow shot through his skull and he fell to the ground hard. Prager looked around as everyone scrambled to retaliate. Tuk bit hard into her captor’s arm, while Spider and Lo’ak pulled the pins to some smoke grenades attached to the soldiers’ vests. You bounced upwards and hit Prager’s chin hard with the back of your head causing him to lose balance, giving you a chance to topple him with a roundhouse kick before running away with the kids.
Through the forest, pumped with adrenaline, you were fast, stopping momentarily to by a sharp rock to cut your handcuffs off.
Everything seemed too good to be true. You prayed to Eywa to keep up the luck.
But Eywa could be funny sometimes.
An explosion hit you from behind, causing the trunk you were running on to shake violently, making you fall onto your stomach, hands latching onto whatever to keep you from falling. You looked down and saw that Spider fall into the undergrowth below. You scrambled to your feet and regrouped your thoughts, while looking down helplessly to find the unconscious kid.
Kiri screamed but Neytiri grabbed her by the arm and pushed her forward. She did the same for you and yanked your hand to keep moving with her, but you were a stone.
She turned and looked at you, eyes wide questioning why you weren’t coming with. Were you mad?
“(Y/N), come! Come!” she yelled at you, voice squeaking, as she tugged your hand again.
“Be well, sister. I must save Spider. Go! Run!” you pleaded, letting go of her hand, and pushing her shoulder to get her moving.
This pained the Na’vi woman deeply because this was the exact thing her father did during the assault on Hometree. He told her to run, only for her to find him later with bark sticking through his abdomen. Reluctantly, Neytiri let you go, heartbreak etching her features as she slipped way with Kiri and disappeared into the forest, bush and leaves snapping and clicking from their haste.
You surrendered to the brief moment of realization that you’d never see them again, that you were going to die saving Spider. And you were ok with that. You wanted to die. It was better than being addicted and having your brain eat you alive with this pounding blood pressure racing through your temple.
Bouncing onto the forest floor, you raced to find Spider. His small body in the thicket looked like a Na’vi babe. He was so innocent.
Shaking him violently, he began to wake up causing your shoulders to slack. The kid was alright and you were happy. He sat up, and with your help, you placed him on his feet, but there was no time.
“Get up! Come! We need to get away from—” you were interrupted by the Na’vi soldiers surrounding the both of you, guns clacking and pointed directly at you.
You stood in front of Spider and, placing a hand behind you, braced him against your backside, ears slanted far back with teeth bared. You hissed at the Colonel’s men.
From the shadows of the woods, Miles approached you and Spider.
“Come with us, and you won’t get hurt,” he bargained with arms outstretch and hands empty.
“Leave us alone!” You yelled, your tail twitching in rage.
His arms fell, one hand finding his hip, as he sighed. “I’m afraid we can’t do that.”
Your hand flew to block your eyes when a sudden, blinding white light from above pierced the night. The violent winds from the airship flattened the plants around you, muting any sound perception as you and Spider were caught in the middle of the loud whirl from the ship’s rudders.
Even the Colonel was caught off guard from the impeccable timing.
Your head was already spinning from the withdrawals and this loud noise caused even more disorientation. Legs caved and you fell onto hands and knees, holding your head. Spider leaned down and tried to help. You held you head and balanced on your legs the best you could.
Miles didn’t know what was up with you, when five minutes ago you were all teeth and snarls, so he took this opportunity to run full speed and tackle you to the ground and snatch Spider.
You saw him coming but yielded to his blow, took weak to fight back.
When he hit, the force hammered your body into the cold mud, your head striking the ground.
Your mind shut off. A full blackout.
Miles hoisted Spider over his shoulder with him kicking and screaming. He attached his harness to the airships suspension cord while peering at you momentarily.
You looked so peaceful lying in the mud, your body sprawled out unconscious.
A tinge of guilt flooded the Colonel’s gut. Did he really hit you that hard?
Miles then screamed to Lyle to pick you up.
“C’mon baby, we goin’ for a ride,” the corporal chuckled as he slung you over his shoulder.
