love letters and second sons | part 1.
Summary: The princess is finally ready to debut in society. But before she does, she decides to disguise herself and see the true faces of the ton.
Author's Note: Hello! Yes, I'm here with a wip before finishing my other stuff. The Bridgerton girlies have got me. Congratulations to you all. So before you read this, please read: I Hate Accidents by @i-hate-accidents AND Over The Garden Wall by @homeofthepeculiar AND The Ultimate Deception by @maximoff-pan. These stories are some of my favorites and really inspired this fic.
Warnings for the Series: light sexism in line with the times, light classism in line with the times, mental health stigma, shitty doctor care, smut, suicide attempt (will get it's own warning when the time comes),
Pairing: Benedict Bridgerton x princess!reader

Author's Note: To those who have read my other works, you'll notice that the author Mercutio's stories are something special
My Dearest Ton and Wonderful United Kingdom,
I am pleased to welcome you all to the start of another social season. Of course, people love and look for love all year round but each year the season just seems to invite love to blossom. I hope all of you find the match to your souls. Marriage is a business but can it not have love as well? A business built with love surely must be a business that tries to last. I ask our respectful citizens and subjects of the United Kingdom to make love a part of their search.
I would also like to ask about businesses that do not involve marriage or love. How are you? In the business of health, is everyone safe from all sickness? In the business of finance, does everyone have enough to eat and clothe themselves without falling into poverty? Are businesses afloat even if only by a small margin? How are you? Truly, I want to know. If you would like to write to me, please do so. The royal mailboxes should still be in perfect condition.
Of course, if you have something urgent then I am sorry but you must come to the palace and request an audience. My valets hold all letters for a day or a few out of safety for everyone. But rest assured, I read every letter once received.
I would also like to say that I can feel the winds of the ton calling me to grace their presence and to stop being rude by ignoring them. Naturally, the wind is very rude to say this and then cut through my dress and chill my bones even when it is snowing. But I digress, the wind is right. The time for introduction must be soon. And a lovely time that will be. I cannot wait to meet you all.
Yours truly,
A Not So Young Anymore Youngest Princess Y/N Hanover (Truly, I need a proper surname and not just the name of my father’s house)
My Dearest Ton and Wonderful United Kingdom,
Would you like to know what I have learned yesterday? I know the Americas are still a touchy subject for some but I hope you don’t mind me talking about it, just to share my studies. Philadelphia is the center of American debate. So many great men (and women that have probably gone unnamed but aided their counterparts in their quest of education) have lived and are currently still living there.
Going to America simply for a debate sounds terribly dreadful. But what if we had one here that wasn’t relegated to just the universities. An entire city becoming a center of debate seems incredibly foolish, not to mention disruptive to its current residents, but buildings of debate do not seem like a bad idea.
Even if some feel like they aren’t smart enough, they should participate. Ideas are nurtured by sharing them. May some debates lead to great compromise and understanding and maybe even propositions for laws.
I, for one, debate with my father every day on which science is the most important to teach to young children and which science can wait until university should they like to pursue that path. He believes all of it. I believe that medicinal science is too much for a young mind and they only need to be taught how to mind their health until they can understand better. What do you think? I am delighted to hear your opinions. Maybe mine will be swayed.
Yours Truly,
Youngest Princess Y/N Buckingham (I am trying out new surnames until one I like sticks)
My Dearest Ton and Wonderful United Kingdom,
I apologize if my stance may be radical but nothing in society ever got done if the start wasn’t a little radical. I believe that young women should be properly taught about relations… let me just say it, sex. Not when they are children, no, but when they are about to debut. Consider it. You all know that as a royal, despite being a woman, I have been taught all things. Everyone is aware that I know what sex is. But if I and my sisters were taught sex so that we may be aware of malicious advances and be able to protect our virtue first rather than waiting for our virtues to be saved by someone and risk them being too late, then others should as well. Therefore, I implore all mothers and governesses to teach their young ladies about to debut what sex is. And to fathers who may be without wives, please find any woman to teach your daughters.
I shall return with more radical ideas for a better and more prosperous United Kingdom.
Yours truly,
Youngest Princes Y/N Kew
The printed letters delivered to London, had everyone enthralled in the early morning. Some people that lived close enough to the central town square didn’t bother with the prints and went straight to the wooden pin board there to look at the princess’ handwriting on the original letters. Whenever the Young Princess or the author Mercutio Quick wrote, people stopped and paid attention.
Princess Y/N was the people’s princess. The one who listened to their complaints and wasn’t cheap on her charitable acts. She was so much like her father, Farmer George. Even with his illness he still ran a good country… when he was in charge. So much better than her eldest brother, George IV. Then again, any royal sibling was better than their eldest brother, even if only by a very small percentage. Everyday the public hoped another child would challenge George the Younger. They would rally their support behind them.
They were hoping that any day George IV’s daughter, Charlotte, would have an heir. If she was pregnant then it would be so easy for the public to support her and convince either George IV to step down or convince Parliament to present a motion to King George. They would have a ruler and an heir. Charlotte the Younger would be the easiest transition for George IV to understand.
But neither her father nor husband seemed to care about the lack of heir. But the thought of succession and coups and duels was forgotten for a moment to read the Young Princess’ letters welcoming them to the new social season with new balls, debutantes, and drama.
In the Bridgerton house, the family ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. They were trying to get ready to present Daphne to the Queen while also trying to read the Young Princess’ letters. Benedict laughed as he slapped his copy of the letters.
“Mother would have a fit if she had to speak with Daphne about sex.”
“I’m surprised she would even suggest such a thing,” Colin said as he returned to reading the first letter, thinking he might actually write to the Young Princess about his familial concerns and wanting to travel desperately but being unsure about leaving them.
Eloise finally smiled as she came downstairs with the rest of her siblings. “I for one think it’s rather refreshing. She is right. Our mamas should be teaching us more than just how to meet the Queen… Daphne! You must make haste! Do you think she heard me?”
Colin rolled his eyes. “She most certainly did. But on the matter of the princess, what is wrong with a woman’s husband teaching her about sex?”
“Everything is wrong with that.”
“Hmm.”
He looked down to reread the paper, wondering if he could understand what the princess actually meant. Even though the letters were left at home, talk of the princess never ceased. How could it? The monarchy’s youngest princess might actually be joining them. Everyone wanted to know what she would look like, not in the face of course. Even her fourth brother didn’t take off his mask until after five months of being introduced to society and he was the shortest time it took to see the royal children’s face.
“Do you think she will be tall like her eldest sister or short? Plump?” Eloise asked as their carriages started their way towards the palace. “I’d imagine I’d be very lovely and plump if I could be stuck in a palace all day with the most wonderful food imaginable. Not that anyone should ever value a woman based on her body but Penelope has stated that her sisters are terribly upset because all the dress makers have started saying that plump is going to be in fashion once again in only a few years time and by the time they become plump it’ll be out of fashion again.”
Daphne looked out the window. “I wonder if she’ll look like the Queen or the King. Oh, what makeup do you think she’ll wear? What mask did she have created for herself? When do you think we’ll actually see her face?”
Violet touched the knees of all her girls. “Whatever she is like, do not be rude and gawk. The poor thing will already have the vultures’ eyes on her all night. If she even comes out tonight. Perhaps it will be at a ball this week. That would be quite a fantastic introduction. I do hope she at least meets us this season.”
Francesca smiled. “I imagine her dance card would be quite full.”
“She’d have bracelets of dance cards going up to her arm,” Daphne agreed.
“But she isn’t coming into society yet. She’s just introducing herself to us,” Eloise said.
“She’s still a princess royal. A very well-known one at that. There’s no way the men would pass on an opportunity to dance with her. They’d want to start making their intentions known now, get ahead of everyone else.”
The boys’ carriage was speaking of a different matter entirely. The princess and Mercutio had written to the ton at the same time. With the presentation to the Queen taking up so much of the day, most people wouldn’t be able to read his work until later that evening. Colin and Benedict simply couldn’t wait. Colin sat with his brother as he drove the carriage and read the story out loud:
“Arsehole,” Cecilia muttered.
Ignoring the sharp stinging of her backside, she hopped off the bed to find something to put on. All she needed to accomplish was getting back to her room, clothed. She knew there must have been some spare clothes in their dressers. It was just a matter of sorting through which garments were hers and which belonged to the others. She had been sorely mistaken to ignore the three members of nobility behind her, thinking they hadn’t heard her.
Lovell scrunched up his face, resembling a rat. “Is receiving another punishment something you really care for? Because this attitude you’ve acquired is going to earn you one.”
“Piss off.”
“Is that any way to talk to your dominants?” Madison asked, adjusting herself in Tommy’s arms.
Cecilia scoffed as she walked towards the door, placing one hand on the doorknob. “Lavender.”
The other three faces fell at the use of that forbidden word. Cecilia’s hand reached up ever so gently and wiped away tears. She wondered if the tears were for her former lovers or for finally realizing her mind was deluded to think she would be with anyone above her station such as Lovell.
“I don’t want this anymore.”
“Cecilia.”
“You never believe that I don’t enjoy breaking our established rules. You only listen to Madison.”
“Cecilia.”
“It is clear you both like her more than you desire me. I am down.”
“Cecilia.”
“You shall see me around this manor, doing my job as I always have. But that is the extent of our relationship.”
“Please, just give u—”
“Good day, Lord Parham. Lord Newall, Lady Wilcher.”
“Riveting,” Colin said as he finished reading. “Mr. Mercutio has done it again.”
Benedict nodded. “Indeed he has. I was a bit worried when he announced that he wanted to dabble in the themes of erotic pleasures in his stories but this was just as enjoyable as all the others.”
“Agree… Oh, it says here that they have earned a publishing deal. The penny stories will still come out once a week, chapter by chapter but readers can also purchase a book if they would like to keep the story properly or are in a rush to read it. I for one will be buying the books.”
“I second that.”
“I wonder what his next story will be about. Actually, no, I wonder what our dear sisters and mothers can be talking about.”
“The princess, no doubt.”
”Do you think any of our brothers will approach?” Eloise asked in the women’s carriage, more to herself than anything.
That made Hyacinth’s face light up. “If one of them marries the princess does that mean we get to be princesses too?”
“As if any of our brothers even could or want to.” Francesca pulled her face away from the window.
“If anyone is going to bring them to the marriage mart,” Daphne started as she fanned herself. “It would be the princess. Anthony would be a good match for her.”
Violet laughed, thinking of the idea. “A viscount and a princess are a perfect match.”
All talk of the princess stopped as they approached. The worst thing that could happen could be a footman overhearing them and mistaking their speech for malicious gossip rather than light-natured and report it to the princess or the queen or even worse, King George himself. They would forever be ostracized from society.
From upstairs, you watched from a window where you knew no one could see you even if they looked up. How you desperately wanted to be down there. All the men were dressed up and looking like penguins. Handsome they were but still penguin-like in silhouette. And the women’s dresses. Some, while upper class, were of a lower social standing and wore older dresses that looked just as gorgeous as the empire and rather shapeless dresses of today.
But today was not your day. You actually weren’t sure when your day would be. Your mother and father let their children choose when they would be introduced to society. Of course you all had to wait for a certain age and it had to be a date at the start of the social season but you could pick the day. And unlike your last sibling, you wanted it to be at a ball instead of the selection of the Diamonds. You didn’t even care which ball it would be. Perhaps it was selfish but you did want a day all to yourself or at least a day with you as the main focus. But that wasn’t this year. Or any year perhaps.
You were excited to finally leave the walls of the palace if you were allowed, having proven yourself capable of not causing an incident. Unfortunately, you couldn’t say you had proven yourself without illness. You weren’t that lucky. You and all your siblings were locked inside until the royal physicians could observe and confirm that you weren’t sick with whatever madness your father had. They didn’t have to observe you. That was also why you picked a ball instead of today. You wanted to prove you didn’t need a chaperone literally holding your elbow. You wanted freedom like your siblings. Freedom to explore that you weren’t sure would get because of your illness.
After a nearly fatal drowning in the lake — an event your siblings still get chewed out for at least once a month — you started showing symptoms like George did. For you it wasn’t about if you would be as sick like your father. It was about how bad and how quickly the illness would get.
You didn’t get to see George as often as the others. The doctors thought you shouldn’t be around him for prolonged periods of time unless it was after an episode. They thought that too much exposure would make you more like him instead of better. They wanted to send him to Kew but you promised that you wouldn’t go to his quarters as long as he got to stay at Buckingham.
Charlotte, silly as it may have been, had hope. They caught your sickness early. Nine was a very young age to almost go mad. Maybe you could be saved from a cruel fate unlike George. They were too late for him but not for you. Of course this only brought jealousy from your siblings who didn’t feel like they got as much affection anymore. Every time you even twitched, it became about you. They could never hate you. It wasn’t like you asked to be sick. But it was hard to be around you. Everyday visits became once a week. Still, you cherished those visits. Like the one yesterday. They expressed their sympathies and hopefulness that you would get to introduce yourself and maybe it could even be this year or maybe this month.
You could have scoffed. After what you did just two days ago, you were unsure. The daylight came into your room before you were prepared for it and you had been convinced that Buckingham was on fire. You couldn’t be calmed down until you jumped into the water fully clothed. Immediately, you pulled yourself out of the trance but no one really cared. The royal physician had been called anyway and you had ruined all chances of attending the presentation to the Queen.
“Your Highness!” a voice disturbed your thoughts and your eyes from looking at your siblings’ carriages leave in the morning. Your lady-in-waiting approached you with a paper, an entire pamphlet. “It’s already spread through the ton like a fire. We haven’t read it yet. We figured new literature would be a treat for you.”
“Thank you, Pandora. Shall we read it in the kitchens this morning when we return home?”
“Not your room?”
“I’m so terribly sick of my room and the washroom and the balcony and the bedroom.”
“You are getting restless.”
“It’s only a matter of time. Maybe even tomorrow it’ll happen. And soon it will only be a couple of years at most before the mask is gone. By the way,” you said as the two started to leave. “Did you hear about the Feather girl that fainted? Is she alright?”
“Oh yes, she’s fine.”
“Good. Have someone send flowers to her tomorrow with an inquiry about her wellbeing after taking such a tumble. Oh and no flowers to the Diamond. I want to meet her myself one day. Now, let’s read about this… Lady Whistledown. She already sounds like an interesting woman.”
Interesting it was indeed. The maids and kitchen staff hung onto your every word as you read the pamphlet. You weren’t exactly sure how you felt about the pamphlet yet but Pandora was right about one thing. It was literature. Lady Whistledown seemed bold enough to list subjects by name. By their entire name as if she wasn’t afraid of any repercussions. You supposed she wouldn’t be since Whistledown was obviously not her real name.
It wasn’t the subject of what she published that bothered you. A lot of it was standard gossip that goes around during the social season but it was her personal opinion. She almost seemed to want the ladies she wrote about to have miserable ends like inquiring about Daphne Bridergton’s flame burning out quickly. The lady must know that what she published could ruin a reputation. Gossip is no longer gossip when publicly written down. It has the potential to become fact.
You slapped the pamphlet against your hand. “Well, I suppose Mercutio Quick from York will no longer be the entertainment of the ton. Sad, and right as I earned a publishing deal too. Perhaps, I should take up a different art. Like making dresses for all my days or learning to play the harp and cello properly so it sounds better than a dying whale according to my brothers.”
The cook shook his head. “Your stories are very entertaining. Even Lady Whistledown couldn’t stop that.”
“Thank you for saying that. I am rather jealous that she is penning under a woman.”
“But you have chosen a name based on your favorite characters, have you not?”
“I have but maybe I should’ve chosen better. This Lady Whistledown might be making more change for women then I hope to accomplish.”
At this, the staff scoffed. Pandora cleaned up your dishes from the kitchen island in front of you.
“Your Highness, with the utmost respect, you are the one who is going to do more for women than this Whistledown. Everybody already wants someone other than your kind brother on the throne. They’re all praying your niece gives them any child so they may protest for her with the added benefit of an heir. They love her and what you write about in your letters make her seem even better. Hell, they love you and they don’t even know you. They listen to you. And with your words, Princess Charlotte the Younger will be on the throne and you will prove women are more than capable of whatever and we might have real change. Is she still on board?”
“Yes. She hates her father as much as anyone else does. George is nice once you get to know him… sort of. But Lettie approves as long as I agree to be in her court. I said yes of course.”
“Then it is settled. Thank God we might actually get change in our wretched lives. Now you must wash up and oversee the Bridgerton gowns before they are sent off. Shall we pick certain ones from your wardrobe?”
“Give the Diamond the one with lace and her family’s colors. Pick whatever you want for the rest of them. Oh and patterns must be on the Feather mother’s dress. I noticed she wears the most ill-favored ornamented dresses but she seems to like them. And put in an order with the modiste, I should like to do this often if this first gesture goes well and the gift wardrobe will need more clothes than it has at present. Clothes for the lower classes as well, nothing that could get them attacked and the clothes stolen off their bodies.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“And, by the way, I already washed up.”
“Yes, but now you’ve been sitting amongst smoke and smells.”
You gave up your fight and nodded as you jumped down from your stool and began the walk to your room. No one was around today. They wouldn’t be for most of the social season as they had other duties, including watching your siblings. Despite your madness, you weren’t the biggest concern at all. It was your rakish brothers in brothels, your sisters constantly leaving their husbands or suitors, and all of them sneaking away. You paused for a moment before walking quicker until you reached your room.
Why couldn’t you sneak out? Now would be the perfect opportunity. And no one was looking for you. It would be so easy to scale the vines up the garden wall and just have fun for a moment. You washed up quickly and put on a very simple dress — one more like the style of today rather than your father’s time. Grabbing a cloak and your mask, you put them down on the bed before sitting down at your writing desk to pen a letter. The slam of the door nearly made you jump out of your skin. You calmed as you realized it was just Pandora.
“Oh, good. It is just you.”
“I have the Bridgerton and Featherington dresses but what do you mean it is just me, Y/N?”
You stood up, abandoning the letter now that someone was around. “I am going out to see the ton.”
“What?”
“It is still dark. I have a map, my cloak, and the mask. And I have a very clear destination with vehicles that will get me back in the most discreet of ways should I need to use them.”
“Your Highness.”
“Pandora. I am nearing my introduction to society. You will all have to let me go at some point. I know everyone cares for my wellbeing but my happiness is gone. I am seen as nothing but my illness. Before I have an episode in public like the king, let me meet the ton. Let me not be Farmer Y/N for a brief moment of my life before I am a farmer forever, before I stay in that garden just like Father.”
Pandora’s mouth shut. She simply locked the door and unlocked the window. “You must return before your midmorning promenade and snack. Since you ate downstairs, I can convince them to overlook your absence of a breakfast request. And don’t take your mask. It’s better if they don’t know who you are at all.”
She gasped as you hugged her.
“Thank you, Pandora! Thank you! You are truly the bestest friend a woman could have.”
“Just go so you can come back quickly and I can have my sanity back.”
You closed the window, shocking Pandora as you pulled a picture frame off the wall to reveal a staircase that led outside. The door was hidden behind the trellis covered in vines and flowers. You pulled the hood over the cloak over you. The last thing you did was check for your bracelet and if your papers were inside. Until you were introduced to society, all the royal children had bracelets that couldn’t come off unless cut off. There were just in case measures with the eldest two but became necessary after so many nights sneaking out. The bracelet wasn’t going anywhere but you didn’t want to lose your birth certificate. It was your first safety measure. Even if you were kidnapped or harmed, you’d be returned to the palace for a pretty penny. You did pull your sleeves down so your bracelet wouldn’t be noticed.
You couldn’t contain your smile at the excitement of being out. London was so different without all the noise. The brothels and pubs were starting to close down for their few hours of rest and relaxation. You stuck to streets where you could see all the action but wouldn’t be easily spotted. No one bothered you until you arrived at your destination.
The footman stood to attention. “May I help you?”
“Yes, hello. I bring a package from Buckingham House for the Bridgertons, courtesy of Princess Y/N.” You handed him a letter with your official stamp at the end of it.
The footman’s eyes went wide as he handed you back the letter and ran inside. The Bridgertons looked up at the frantic knocking, pulling slips over Hyacinth and Daphne before telling the footman he could enter. The Bridgerton boys came upstairs after hearing the heavy pounding of their employee’s footsteps running up the multiple stairs.
“Is there a problem, Marshall?”
He panted before taking in a deep breath. “The Young Princess’ lady-in-waiting is here, bearing gifts.”
“WHAT?!”
The Bridgertons collectively yelled before the scramble happened. You tilted your head when you saw the windows open and a maid shake out some bedsheets. She squeaked when she looked down to see you. You laughed as she ran back inside. It couldn’t have been more than five minutes before you were escorted into the house by a very out of breath footman. The Bridgertons stood on the steps at the end of their entrance hall in chronological order with their mother starting the line at the very bottom step. Nervous smiles graced their faces when you finally reached them. You curtsied to which they curtsied or bowed back.
You gave them a second to assess you before speaking. Even though it wasn’t true in the slightest, everyone thought the ladies-in-waiting and manservants were reflections of the royals themselves. Not in character or value but in appearance. They figured they could form some sort of picture as to what the young masked royals looked like. If you were ugly then surely the princess was too. You hoped they at least found you to be average looking in appearance.
Anthony Bridgerton — the new head of house from what you remembered of your studies — stepped from behind his mother to greet you formally. He bowed once again, deeper, before offering up his hand. You settled yours in it to receive a chaste kiss.
“To what do we owe this sudden pleasure, Mrs…”
“Beckett,” you lied, just using Pandora’s last name.
“Mrs. Beckett?” He didn’t recognize the name as one belonging to an upper class member of the ton. He wasn’t sure he recognized the name at all.
“Apologies, I should explain. The princess doesn’t distinguish in her court, we are all there to work. All women are ladies-in-waitings, all men are valets. Regardless of station, regardless of marriage.”
“So, I am to take it that my earlier statement was incorrect.”
You nodded. “Simply Miss Beckett.”
“Well that sounds like very forward thinking actually. All the same, it is our pleasure to meet anyone in her highness’ court.”
Violet smiled as she watched the interaction. If her son was close to anyone in the princess’ court, especially someone that seemed so close to the princess as to be sent here, then he would be able to meet the princess with good graces. He’d be ahead of any man by leagues.
“Princess Y/N has sent me on her behalf. She extends warm greetings to the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons whom I will meet after our encounter. The princess congratulates Miss Daphne Bridgerton for earning Diamond of the Season as well as congratulations to the Dowager Viscountess for raising such a fine woman and to Viscount Bridgerton for chaperoning and keeping the family together therefore allowing his sister to shine.”
He cleared his throat and started to smile. “Please give the princess all of our thanks for the most kind of compliments.”
“And she would like to assure Miss Bridgerton that I have not been sent on behalf of any princes. Her brothers will not be bothering you today.”
They all chuckled when you laughed.
You set the first box down on the table next to you and opened it. “The princess has brought new dresses for the ball. The Diamond and the rest of her family should have the opportunity to shine with the utmost and wholehearted respect and support of the Crown. Please, enjoy them.”
The family ran to the table, picking out dresses and suits and matching them to the person’s name on the paper pinned to each garment. They kept singing praises and admiring the outfits. Violet turned back to you.
“When are you planning on visiting the Featheringtons?”
“In an hour or so, I must be back before the princess’ morning promenade. She has a very busy day afterwards.”
“Will the princess be introducing herself this season?”
“Hyacinth!” Anthony and Violet yelled at the same time.
You laughed. “It is no trouble. I’m at liberty to answer as the princess’ head valet.”
“Valet? I thought you said they were all men. They are usually all men.”
“If the princess should become heir to the throne then she will receive a male valet alongside me. For now, it is just me. The Crown believes someone of the same gender should always be with her should she need to confide in someone about very personal matters.” You took a breath before testing the waters. “Such as affections of the heart.”
It had dawned on you in that moment that you could spy on the ton. When the time came, you would still have to dance with all the bachelors of the United Kingdom but you at least you would have a better picture of them. You’d have to apologize to Pandora for the countless strokes she was about to earn from you but you couldn’t make this your only time sneaking out.
Violet smiled, knowing she was right. “Well, would you like to stay for breakfast?”
“Oh, I wouldn’t want to impose.”
“It would be no trouble at all. We have more than enough room. Eloise, dear, if Penelope is to come over please request that she do so now.”

little flower
I have become an actual fanatic ever since this movie came out and brought forth all of my old love for the Avatar world. I’ve seen this movie 5 times and Jake Sully as a dad refuses to leave my brain :’)
♢ Pairing: Dad!Jake Sully x Oldest Daughter!Reader (PLATONIC ya nasties)
♢ Word count: 1.8k
♢ Genre: Family fluff and feels, protective older sister reader
⌲ Description: You are a protective older sister that will always come to the defense of your siblings, even against your dad. And Jake couldn’t even be mad about it.
M A S T E R L I S T
As parents, there was no such thing as having a favorite child.
Humans knew it.
Na’vi knew it.
Jake knew it too.
But that didn’t stop the fact that he did have moments of favoring you over his other children.
How couldn’t he?
You. His first child was born into his new world. His first sign of a fresh, beautiful start. His firstborn. His first little flower.
Eywa must have thought him worthy enough to bless him with a child that was a scarily accurate mix of both him and Neytiri, although there were moments where Jake swore Tommy’s face had shone through. Like how your eyes would shine up at the prospect of learning something new, something hidden. The inner science nerd in you wanting to find out more.
You were also a fighter. One of the more anticipated young warriors of the Omatikaya clan - whispers of the elders following you with praises of being a worthy daughter of Toruk Makto.
And Jaked hated that word. ‘Worthy.’
None of his children had to be worth anything to be considered his own. They were a result of his and Neytiri’s love, and that was all that mattered to them.
Yet being Toruk Makto had put a heavy burden upon his eldest children without him having a say in it. You made sure to take most of the responsibility of being the oldest, yet a lot also fell to Neteyam being the oldest son. Jake tried his damn best to be a fair dad. An equal dad. But when he had been gifted kids such as Lo’ak, Jake was certain it was Eywa’s way to even the odds of calmness and serenity in their growing family.
You and Neteyam had been the dream babies. Calm and demure, who were easy to handle and feed. Kiri had been a little bit fussier when joining the family, but nothing they couldn’t handle.
But Lo’ak?
Damn, he had been the true nightmare for all parents. He came screaming into the world and was now walking through it with the word ‘troublemaker’ ingrained in his DNA.
And Jake wouldn’t change it for the world.
Although you, his oldest baby girl at now sixteen years old, would always have a special place in his heart no matter how many muttered scoldings he had with himself of not having favorites. You were starting to mature a bit too quickly to his liking, shedding away the last layers of your baby fat and awkward limbs, growing into the beginnings of a beautiful, young Na’vi woman.
You reminded him of Neytiri, just a few years younger and more outspoken, mixed with his crude earth humor and language.
Yeah. His mate had not been happy with that development.
Though he had managed to blame Norm and Max the first time you had accidentally let an f-bomb slip at the age of nine.
And then there were times like now, where his anger was boiling over and coiling together with the fearful worry in his gut after seeing his two idiotic sons on the ground of the raid, and not in the sky, where they were supposed to be.
‘Dad, it was my fault. I should have been more alert of their positions.’
They all knew it wasn’t your fault. But that was what you did. Take the blame with your shoulders high, and face unchanging.
‘Y/N, you-’ your name came out in a slightly agitated growl from Jake, but the relentless gaze in your eyes stopped him from taking it further.
“Just go get patched up - you stay,” the last part had been directed at his youngest son, as Lo’ak swallowed nervously. Although Jake could see you hovering behind the others before deciding to ignore his orders and remain only a few feet away.
Fearless, he thought to himself annoyed, just like your mother. That was the difference between you and your younger brother. Where Lo’ak was a troublemaker and reckless out of sheer curiosity and innocent spontaneous decisions, his stubbornness was not intended. Your stubbornness was the opposite, all willful and directed at him with a purpose that tired him out endlessly.
As he finished up scolding and grounding the stupidity incarnate that was his son, Jake didn’t miss as you walked up to him and shared some low whispers enough to make the frown on Lo’ak ease up slightly, tail giving away his better mood as he went on to tend to the ikrans.
You caught up to your dad easily enough, not saying a word and only accompanying him towards the tent of your grandmother despite the simmering anger still apparent in him.
Your younger brothers didn’t fear him, rather their respect for him was so immensely high that it automatically made them want to earn his approval in every single way, including following his orders like perfect soldiers. Or at least Neteyam did. Lo’ak, although holding that same respect was more prone to follow his own spontaneous choices.
There was a difference between you and them.
You respected your father. Of course, you did. But you also refused to become one of his soldiers because you knew better. You were not afraid to speak up against the mighty voice of Toruk Makto when you could see the faults in his choices, an ability that your mother had as well. That included many moments of unfair scoldings towards your brothers.
But he hadn’t always been this way. Your dad was carefree before the sky people came back to Pandora and declared war on your people. He had been affectionate, patient, and funny, even. You had been old enough to understand that by the return of the humans, Jake Sully had been forced to come back into his past military persona, showcasing a side that none of his children had ever been exposed to before - but were forced to adapt to with war right at their feet.
“Dad-”
“I am sick and tired of you taking the blame every time your siblings do something out of their own making!” His outburst was full of anger and frustration, and although his volume wasn’t loud, they were spat with a harshness that would usually send most people cowering away from the Olo'eyktan.
You, however, stood firm in your place. Chin raised and spine straight, waiting for the harsh breaths of your father to subside before putting in your own two cents.
“As the oldest sibling we expect you to be responsible in your choices, and as a good role model that includes knowing who’s at fault and taking the right responsibility.”
His stare was basically penetrating you. The yellow, intense eyes which were smaller than that of true Na’vi’s turned more intimidating when narrowed.
He was waiting, you realized. For you to soak in his words.
“Can I talk now?” You finally spoke, careful yet not meek.
At the incline of his head, you let your own drop slightly before letting out a sigh.
“I am really sorry, dad, ‘Teyam didn’t do anything wrong, he was just trying to stop him. And Lo’ak just wanted to make you proud, even though it was a stupid way of doing it,” you knew the way to soften his heart as his shoulders got less tense by your words. “I know you want them to take responsibility, but as you said; I’m their older sister. Is it that terrible for me to stand for them? If I can’t protect them from the sky demons directly, the least I can do is shield them a bit when they choose to do stupid things.”
Jake’s heart was constricting, memories of a past life flashing before his eyes followed by his feelings of regret and the old grief wanting to claw its way back out.
It was as if Tommy was speaking directly to him. His brother had always been the more caring sibling when they were young. Acting as the older one, despite being twins. Taking the fall for Jake’s younger self's mistakes and being the meditator despite his own harsh words of not needing help being spat in return as a show of gratitude.
The mighty Toruk Makto didn’t know if he was being punished for his past sins, or rewarded by basically getting Tommy’s personality reincarnated in you.
The anger melted away in seconds as Jake found himself simply staring at his oldest baby girl. You had a gift for softening him up in seconds, different from Tuk’s childish innocence and Kiri’s witty comebacks.
“Come here.”
Without hesitation, you stepped into his open arms and sank into his warm embrace as your dad kissed the top of your head affectionately.
“I take it you're not mad anymore?” You mumbled with a slight smile, as you felt him huff.
“Oh, I am still frustrated, flower. But you made a really good case for yourself, so how can I?”
You realized how long it’s been since your dad had actually hugged you like this. All warm, gentle affection. The last year has been hell on earth for your family, snuffing out most of the moments when the family used to cuddle together at night with laughter and sparkling eyes as your parents told stories of their past before Pandora was ruined by the sky people.
As the oldest, you had easily handed over most of the affectionate moments for Tuk to have, being only a child and needing that contact. You had convinced yourself that you were now old enough to not rely on the hugs and kisses of your parents to get through a harsh day.
You had clearly underestimated the hugs of your dad, as you gripped him tighter around the waist and nuzzled your face closer against his chest - not wanting to let go and return to the rest of the family just yet.
Jake noticed this easily. “You okay there, flower?” he murmured softly, not letting go.
“Yeah…” was your muffled reply. “Just…missed this, I guess.” Although honest, the tips of your ears turned slightly red in embarrassment.
“I suppose it’s been a while since I’ve given my oldest baby some cuddles, huh?”
“Daad,” you couldn’t help but whine, glancing up to see his familiar mischievous smirk from when he used to tease you all the time. “I’m way too old for that.”
His narrowed in a mock glare as you let out a startled squeak as his fingers suddenly tickled your sides as you tried to jump away, but he was quicker in holding you back and continuing his attack, prompting peals of laughter to fall from your lips.
The tickle attack didn’t last long fortunately before he was stepping back with a fond smile and looked you over with his larger hands cupping your face and pressing a soft kiss against your forehead.
“I love you, flower.”
“I love you too, dad.”
Jake didn’t have a favorite child.
But sometimes he couldn’t help but cherish you a little more when it was needed.
Can Jake be my dad pls.

never meant to be
☁︎ ellie x fem!reader ☁︎ summary: in which you and ellie go through the heartbreaking realization that love is never fair. ☁︎ warnings/themes: cheating (ellie cheats on current gf with you), dina is your sister, heartbreak/forbidden love, not a happy ending, familial issues | fingering/thighriding (r!recieving), use of strap, fem anatomy ☁︎ a/n: hi. don't hate me lol. sometimes i write stories like this to feel a little something. also it's 2:30 am and i have to be in class by 7:00am so this is not proofread lol. there will be NO part two. ☁︎ word count: 9,800 words aka my longest fic yet
for as long as you could remember, you were always in dina's shadow.
despite you being the youngest daughter, dina was your parent's pride and joy. she was the smartest and prettiest daughter, who never failed to win the family's attention.
dina was the 'perfect' daughter in your parent's eyes. she followed in mom's footsteps and won prom queen 3 years in a row and was crowned 1st place as miss wyoming since she was 14 in the annual pageant every year. last year, she got accepted to yale university with the intention of going to law school and becoming a criminal lawyer just like father.
your parents were set on having two extremely intelligent daughters who attended ivy league colleges and strived for an above-average career like an award-winning surgeon or a ground-breaking research scientist.
but that wasn't you. at all.
from a young age, you were always attracted to art — such as sculptures, paintings, murals, and various types of music. you had a keen eye for things more abstract, which always set you apart from your own family.
sure, math and science were subjects that came easily to you, and you had no difficulty with keeping straight A's at school, but you always knew you wanted to do something different than what was set for you.
despite being the black sheep of the family, you did find yourself envying dina. she had the bigger room, nicer clothes, a car, and always got money whenever she asked mom and dad for it. it was hard not to be jealous.
especially since she started bringing ellie williams around.
dina met ellie during her freshman year at yale, and the two hit it off. they officially became a couple this summer, and with the approval of our parents, ellie followed dina back home and agreed to stay the entire summer with her and the family.
from the first moment you met ellie, you were smitten.
it was the first week of summer, and you were relishing in all the much-needed vacation time, knowing by the time summer was over, you would be on your way to los angeles for college.
you were relaxing in bed with your copy of 'pride & prejudice', reading it for probably the 70th time. from your bedroom, you can hear a car pulling up in the driveway followed by your mother's loud voice yelling "welcome home!!", and then slamming car doors. getting up from your comfortable position, you drew the linen curtains to the side and took a peek out your window, down at the driveway.
from above, you could see mother taking dina in her arms, giving her a hug and placing a kiss on her forehead.
your eyes drift to father, and to the girl he was shaking hands with.
she was unlike anyone you've ever seen. her short brunette hair was cut short, hanging right at her neck in the style of a mullet. her slender arms revealed one tattoo on her right forearm that was visible underneath the folded flannel layered over a plain white t-shirt.
she held this charming aura about her, evident by how your father let out a hearty laugh as he gently nudged her on the shoulder. this woman must've been impressive because it was a rarity to see your father laugh, let alone when first meeting someone.
as dina grabbed the girl's hand to drag her inside the house, her eyes flickered up toward you, lingering on you for a little too long.
-
"so, ellie, tell us. what are you studying at yale?" your father's deep voice resonated throughout the dinner table.
"ugh, daaaad, please. no more interrogating my girlfriend," dina groaned out, "you're gonna scare her away, and we've only been together a month!"
"i was just asking a question, sweetie. no need to fret," your dad interjected as he took another bite of chicken.
ellie cleared her throat before putting her fork down, "uh, i'm actually in a computer science program— i'm in the works of developing my own software."
father's eyes widened, "wow! how impressive! what kind of software is it?"
"it's actually a type of software used by government agencies to store highly classified government documents, sir," ellie added, "it keeps unverified users locked out of the servers so they don't access the documents unless they recognize the IP address, and the software reports any unknown addresses back towards us to be monitored for criminal activity."
your ears would usually tune out the boring conversations held at the dinner table, but you couldn't help but be completely absorbed in everything ellie was saying and it only left you wanting to know more.
"how exciting! glad dina found someone who's doing something significant with their life," your father complimented, "unlike our youngest."
"such a shame. you graduated top of the class this year, yet you want to attend art school." your father's eyes bore into the side of your face as you pretended not to notice his words, distracting yourself by poking at the cold piece of broccoli on the expensive china plate.
"art school is cool too," ellie complimented, "what are you majoring in?"
you picked your head up, surprised by ellie's sudden interest in your studies. you were used to everyone else asking about dina and talking about dina and would compare you to dina. it was exhausting.
"um— fine arts. i'm also minoring in graphic design," you managed to squeak out, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
"and what are you planning to do with that, young lady?" your dad prodded in his signature stern voice, "you're 18 years old, almost 19, you have to start thinking about your future seriously."
you take the glass of water, and take a sip from it, suppressing that urge to cry from his words, "okay, father."
your mother places a hand on your dad's shoulder, attempting to calm him down, "honey, not at the dinner table."
he doesn't say anything else, and continues eating his dinner, whereas you lost your appetite a long time ago, and are no longer feeling in the mood to be around your family for another second.
the fork falls from your hands, creating a clinging sound against the ceramic dish. "may i be excused?" you tremble, ignoring the burning gaze from the brunette's eyes. you couldn't put into words the humiliation you felt at this moment, and you couldn't bear to look at dina's mocking smirk or at ellie's pitiful stare.
"okay, sweetie. goodnight." your mother murmured. you got up from the chair, and scurried out of the dining room, wanting nothing more but to curl up under your covers and lay in dark silence.
as you ascend up the stairs, you can hear dina continuing the conversation as if nothing ever happened, laughter and jokes ensuing in your absence.
-
the past two weeks with ellie in the house was an adjustment you had to get used to.
there have been a few occasions where you'd forget to lock the bathroom door, and bam, ellie barges in. luckily, she was a gentlewoman and always covered her eyes even though you were fully clothed. but it was extremely awkward, to say the least.
one morning, you thought the house was empty and took the opportunity to blast your favorite pussycat dolls song and belt out the chorus while shaking your hips around in the living room, only to find ellie looking down at you from the top of the stairs with an amused expression on her face.
needless to say, you put an end to your one-woman concerts and kept them in the privacy of your bedroom.
it was currently 2:45am, and you just wrapped up a painting you started this morning. the house was still and silent, and no one else but you were awake during this time of night.
feeling the gurgle and rumble of your belly, you take off your headphones and tiptoe down the stairs. with your socked feet pitter-pattering on the cold tile of the kitchen, you opened the door to the fridge and scanned the shelves for a tasty late-night snack.
"hmmm...." you hummed, "strawberries and cream might do the trick." you pulled out the bowl of strawberries and a tub of cool whip, and sat down on the tile, opening the lid, and dipping the berry in the creamy topping.
you were about 5 berries deep before you heard a voice clearing their throat, causing you to jump in your spot.
"isn't it a little too late to be eating dessert?" ellie queries. she was in a grey hoodie and plain grey sweatpants with half of her hair tied up. it was evident she probably just woke up, and a part of you felt a little guilty that you possibly were the reason for that.
unable to speak with a mouthful of fruit, you slowly shake your head left and right, eliciting a chuckle from the brunette.
"alright, no judgment here." ellie puts her hands up, "can i join you?"
swallowing the lump of red fruit down your throat, you respond, "sorry, yeah. of course," you hold up the bowl of berries, "want some?"
the girl crouches down and sits next to you on the floor, grabbing a strawberry and dipping it in the cool whip, then taking it all in one bite.
she chews momentarily before shaking her head in satisfaction, "not bad, not bad. never tried this combination before."
"really? i've had this snack for years, ever since i was a little girl," you smile, "it was my dad's favorite snack growing up..."
your voice trailed off as you reminisced about the earlier years when life was easier and you didn't have the pressure of worrying about college or career aspirations. all you and dina worried about was grilled cheeses and finding your bratz doll's missing feet.
ellie spoke again, "were you close with your dad growing up?"
you bit your lip, the sweet taste of strawberry and whipped cream present upon the skin, "yeah. we were," you laughed dryly, "we used to watch those cheesy law and order SVU shows all the time."
"yeah?"
"mhm," you hummed, "they were always entertaining to me. he thought that it'd eventually influence me to become a lawyer like him. he always said that we'd become the dynamic duo or whatever and that we'd kick ass in court."
ellie sat intently, watching you, listening to you as you told her this memory. from the moment she first met you when she got here, she knew you were quite the opposite of dina. dina was type A. she was occasionally uptight, a bit boring, and not really fit for ellie. ellie was chill and was a 'go by the flow' person, which was one thing dina hated about her. don't get her wrong, ellie liked dina, and she liked how dina was funny and smart, but she didn't really see them lasting long-term.
it was shitty. it was shitty how ellie didn't see herself being with dina for that long, and it was worse that ellie didn't have the guts to tell her.
but, for her own selfish reasons, ellie didn't want to tell dina, not yet anyways. she gravitated toward you and often found herself staring at you for a little too long during meals at the table and thinking about what you were doing in the next room over while dina was cuddled up in her arms.
ellie knew this was a bad idea. she could not get attached to her girlfriend's sister. it was nothing but a recipe for disaster.
but ellie was only human. she couldn't help her ever growing curiosity.
"you didn't want to be a lawyer?" ellie asked.
you shook your head, "hell, no. looks stressful and boringgggg," you sang out.
ellie laughed, "yeah, can't disagree with you there. dina tells me it involves lots of reading."
"yea, i'm good." you giggle, "what about you? have you always known that you wanted to work with computers 'n stuff?"
"i guess. i was always a 'nerd' and all that bullshit. loved watching sci-fi movies and shows and i'm also a huge gamer so—" ellie began, "i can't imagine myself not doing anything else other than techie shit."
you nod, putting another cream-covered berry in your mouth, "that makes sense. at least you're passionate about what you do."
"yeah, i guess," ellie snacks on another strawberry, "how 'bout you? you're an artist?"
you cover your mouth to muffle a laugh, "i wouldn't call myself an artist. but i do love painting. it's all i ever want to do."
"then it wouldn't be too much if i could ask to see some of your art."
your eyes widen, and you nearly choke on the fruity snack. "what?" your voice almost comes out sounding shocked.
"yeah, i mean, i'd love to see some of your stuff," ellie looked toward you with a sly smile.
"um, no," you laugh, "my parents haven't even seen some of my work."
you were hesitant to show anyone any of your artwork, and only allowing your best pieces to be kept in the security of your personal portfolio, only to be viewed by colleges for applications and such.
"aww, c'mon. i wanna see."
you huff, "maybe."
ellie smirked, "i'll take what i can get," she continues, "besides, think of me as....an art critic."
you let out a giggle, "oh yeah?"
the night progresses and you and ellie get lost in conversation, talking until 4am about life and whatnot. ellie was an easygoing person to talk to. she never seemed to judge you for any of your own opinions, and it felt like she was actually interested in what you had to say. it felt like you've known her for years, even though it's only been a matter of weeks.
you could already see the rays of orange peeking up from the navy, blue sky. it was already early morning.
"we should probably head back upstairs," you suggest, nodding your head towards the window, "the sun's gonna rise....and dina'll wake up soon."
it was like clockwork. dina woke up every morning at 6:30 am, never earlier nor later. you definitely did not want her to catch you and ellie here, alone and together.
for a moment, ellie forgot that she was here with dina. it was fucking terrible and she felt guilty, but she really liked spending the night talking with you and she knew she needed to do it again.
"uh— no, yeah, of course," ellie stood up first, holding out a hand to help you up next.
you took her warm hand in yours and hoisted yourself up until you were stable on your feet.
"thanks," you murmur.
"yeah, no problem."
ellie didn't pull her hand away, and neither did you. it was like your hands were two pieces of a puzzle, fitting perfectly in the spaces of each other's fingers.
realizing what was happening, you quickly pulled your hand away from hers, "uh—"
"fuck, sorry," ellie stammered, "i'm getting— um— awfully tired."
good excuse, ellie thought to herself.
"it's fine, no worries. let's head upstairs," you lead the way up toward the stairs with ellie alongside you. you stop in front of your bedroom door and ellie stops in front of dina's, her hand lingering on the doorknob.
"yeah?"
"um— just wanted to say goodnight, ellie." you smile at her, and she returns the favor.
"goodnight." ellie whispers, and you both head inside.
with dina still fast asleep, ellie crawls into bed next to her. she pulls the blanket close to her body, and turning away from her sleeping girlfriend, a small smile makes its way across her face as her mind drifts to you and how you were just a few feet away, a wall being the only thing separating you both.
and as you crawl into the comfort of your own bed, you couldn't help the wide smile that curls upon your lips as you thought about ellie, and how badly you wanted to talk to her again, ignoring the fact that she was probably laid up against your sister's body, holding her close.
it was an unfortunate thing — the slow formation of the connection between two people who were right for each other but were bound by the fate of knowing deep inside the chance of them being together was just not a possibility.
-
ellie could not get herself to fall asleep. she's been here for weeks, yet found herself tossing or turning in bed, never sleeping soundly for more than 3 hours at a time.
it happened again tonight. she fell asleep at 11:00pm, and here she was, wide awake at 3:00am.
she never knew how dina could do it— how she could make her body sleep at the same time, and stay asleep until morning.
ellie blamed it on the idea that her body wasn't adjusted to being at dina's house with her family. she thought that spending her summer vacation with dina's family would be fun and that it would be a good getaway from all the stress at school.
but ellie fucking hated your dad. from the first night she met him, she hated how he talked down to you. he was an asshole. it was obvious to ellie that he favored dina, and she knew it was only because she was following the same career path he was on. ellie didn't agree with how he felt about you at all, and desperately wished she could say something to him, but she thought it'd be best to not interfere...for now.
sighing, ellie took the covers off and quietly walked towards the door, slowly opening it and gently closing it.
she didn't know what the hell compelled her to walk over to your bedroom door, but before she had any time to even consider her actions, her fist planted three soft knocks on the surface.
ellie thought you must've been fast asleep by now, but a small part of her hoped that you would still be awake.
you swung your bedroom door open, unsure who would be knocking on your door at this hour, but was relieved to see it was ellie, "oh, hey."
ellie's eyes trailed up and down your body, taking you in and letting her eyes rake over the way your sleep shirt hangs loosely off your shoulder and how your cotton shorts stop mid-thigh.
she had to force her eyes back up on your face, and she was beating herself up for even letting her look at you that way, like a piece of meat.
"uh- er- sorry, i was just—" ellie stuttered, "i couldn't sleep."
you nod slowly, and step aside to let her inside your room.
god, this was such a bad idea.
after letting her inside, you close the door and lock it. walking back over towards your bed, you plop down on the mattress as ellie awkwardly stands in the middle of your room.
"you can sit down, you know," you giggle, and ellie shrugs and chooses to sit on your swiveling desk chair.
silence fills the air for a moment before ellie speaks up first.
"were you busy?"
you shake your head, "nope, was just reading a book."
"ahh, okay," ellie was silent for a moment before speaking again, "sorry again, for uh— bothering you."
"you didn't bother me," you laugh, "i'm usually up around this time anyways, jus' doing whatever."
ellie nods and turns the chair to face your desk where she sees your black leather sketchbook. her fingers open the book to a random page, and it was a sketch of a cat napping on a window sill in incredible detail.
the sound of pages flipping caught your attention, and you immediately jump to your feet as the realization hits you.
"hey! my sketchbook!" your hands quickly try to snatch the book from her hands, but ellie was faster, and got up and held the black book up and out of your reach. to your loss, ellie had the advantage of being a couple inches taller than you were, which made it extremely difficult for you to get to your book.
"these are amazing! let me just look through them a little bit longer—" ellie says, flipping through the pages of all the sketches you made, "holy shit— is that— is that me?"
your eyes grow wider, and you could feel the sweat seeping out of your pores, "give that back!"
you jump and try to grab the book, but ellie has this annoying smirk on her face as she holds the book high above her head, knowing you wouldn't be able to grab ahold of it due to your shorter stature.
"ugh, seriously?" you whine, flushing red in embarrassment, feeling like she just read an extremely personal section of your diary. in a way, your sketchbook was your diary.
"let me take a picture of my sketch and i'll give it back to you, deal?" ellie attempted to negotiate with you, but you narrowed your eyes at her, really not wanting her to have any evidence of your sketch at all. but she doesn't seem like the type to take no for an answer.
luckily, you were quite the trickster yourself. it's a youngest child thing.
you huff, "fine."
ellie smiles with pride, and as she lowers her arm to put the sketchbook down, you act fast and seize the book. but before you succeed, ellie snatches it back, and suddenly she's falling back onto your bed. you fail to steady yourself, following suit and landing on top of her, your forehead thumping against hers.
"ouch."
both of your eyes meet, and for a second, everything stands still. you and ellie don't move, afraid that whatever happens next, it'll end up with you both in a compromising situation.
"i— uh—" you sputter, "sorry." you quickly scramble up to your feet, getting off of her, and standing back to create some distance.
the absence of your body made ellie feel cold, but she pushed that feeling to the side and stood on her own two feet, handing you your sketchbook.
"thanks," you take the book from her hands and stuff it in the top left drawer of your dresser, where it usually is anyways.
"you know, those were really good," ellie mutters, scratching the back of her neck, "especially the one of me."
heat rises to your face once again, "it was from the day i saw you in the driveway— when you first got here with dina."
she nods, "i can tell, 's really good though. i swear."
you blush, "thanks," you think of something quick to change the subject, wanting to stray away from your sketch of her, still reeling in the embarrassment of her finding out.
"wanna watch the office?"
4:58am
you know what? imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so i thank you.
"god, i love dwight so much, dude," ellie laughs, throwing a chip in her mouth as she watches jim's character pull out the bobblehead and place it on his desk.
identity theft is not a joke, jim! millions of families suffer every year!
michael!
oh that's funny— michael!
you let out a sleepy giggle, cuddling your pillow. you and ellie had been on your bed with the show playing on your laptop for an hour already, while she munched away on a bag of chips you had in your room.
ellie turned her head to check on you, and she could tell by your heavy eyelids that you were about to knock out in any second, "you sleepy?"
"mhm," you manage to hum out.
she smiles, in awe at your cute, sleepy state.
"go 'head and sleep. i'll finish up this episode and let myself out when it's over," ellie murmurs. she unfolds the blanket that was sitting at the edge of your bed and places it over your body.
"you sure?" you ask, nearly half asleep.
"mhm. i'll be gone by the time you wake up." but you knew you didn't want ellie to be gone when you woke up and ellie didn't want to go either.
as the show continues to run, you close your eyes and fall into slumber.
you weren't sure what woke you up, but you did. you hear the sound of 'the office' theme song playing, causing you to stir slightly, but you were surprised by the pressure present around your waist.
you sit up a bit, and you see ellie fast asleep, with her arm wrapped tightly around your waist, spooning you.
you look at the clock next to your bed and read the time: 6:23 am.
the air is sucked out from your lungs. dina is gonna be up soon.
"ellie! wake up!" you whisper quite loudly in her ear, shaking her awake. she doesn't wake up, and just groans, pulling you back to hold you again.
ignoring the butterflies going rampant in your belly, you attempt to wake her up again, "ellie! please, wake up," you shake her arm, "dina's gonna wake up in any minute."
ellie's green eyes open, and for a moment she's glad it's your face she sees when she wakes up, until the realization dawns on her.
"shit, shit, shit," ellie curses, getting off your bed and standing up, "i have to go."
and she exits your bedroom, leaving you alone in your bed only with the memory of waking up in her arms.
as ellie slowly and quietly enters dina's bedroom, she's relieved by the sight of dina's body still fast asleep. she gets back in bed and turns away from her, trying to calm her fast heart rate down.
on cue, dina's alarm clock goes off at 6:30 am sharp. ellie can feel dina turning and shutting off her alarm clock, and then she scootches closer and wraps her arms around ellie's body, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"morning, babe," dina whispers, and ellie shuts her eyes, pretending she's still asleep.
ellie lets out a mumbled 'morning' sounding groan and nestles her face into the pillow. she feels dina get up from bed and head into the bathroom to begin her morning routine, leaving ellie alone, wishing she had you wrapped up in her arms instead.
-
two days had gone by and you barely talked to ellie, sharing nothing but longing glances and brushes of fingers when you handed her a plate during meal times.
you didn't purposely intend to avoid ellie, but your mother had filled your agenda with errands for your 19th birthday party this weekend. you had to go talk to the caterers, talk to the florist, get fitted for a dress, buy new shoes, send out invitations— it was all so tedious and tiring, but you didn't want to make your mother upset by disappointing her.
the contractors were currently setting up the house with decorations and such for the party, and ellie was outside in the backyard with father, helping the rest of the workers set up a stage and other things needed.
you hated hot days, especially ones like these, where the air was scorching and dry. but you couldn't complain today, ellie was in a tight, white tank top showing off her muscular biceps and arms. you couldn't help but stare a little longer, trailing your eyes over the beads of sweat that would roll down her neck.
thank god for hot days like this one.
"honey, will you please do me a favor and bring out this tray of refreshments to everyone outside please?" your mother handed you a tray of cold drinks and fresh fruit.
"of course," you smooth out your sundress and take the tray from her hands, walking out of the kitchen and through the open doors leading to the backyard patio.
you walk over toward where they were working and set down the tray, "here are some cold drinks everyone."
your father and the workers mutter a quick thank you and take the offerings, sipping on the chilled drinks and talking amongst themselves.
however, what ellie needed wasn't a cold refreshment or a fruity snack. in fact, the only thing she could think of that would help ellie in this heat right now was you.
she couldn't tear her eyes away from the way your tits looked, the way the fabric hugged the soft, pillowy flesh. she definitely couldn't look away when you walked back towards the house, only wishing she can run her hands over the smooth skin of your thighs, grabbing on your ass.
the way you made ellie sweat was incomparable to the sun's radiating heat.
"excuse me, i'm gonna use the bathroom," ellie muttered, making her way back inside the house.
as you neared the kitchen, you overhear your mother's conversation with dina.
"yeah, we'll be leaving a little early. i have stuff to do back on campus," dina's voice remarks.
"oh, that's too bad. i really like having you both here," your mother pouts, "when are you and ellie leaving?"
"the day after the party," dina replies, "it'll give us time to rest and pack up."
your heart sank in your chest. ellie was leaving? and so soon?
you ran back inside the house, jogging up the stairs, not wanting dina or your mother to see the tears watering in your eyes.
"sweetie? you okay?" your mother yells out from the kitchen.
"uh, yeah! just need to get something from my room!"
you make a bee-line to the bathroom and shut the door behind you, looking at your reflection in the mirror, and letting yourself break down in tears.
something like this was bound to happen. you knew ellie wouldn't stay here forever, and you would be leaving for college. but why did this hurt so bad?
you hear the bathroom door open, and you quickly wipe your eyes.
"e-ellie?"
the brunette was surprised to see you in the bathroom at first, knowing you did have a habit of leaving the door unlocked sometimes, but that all went away and concern washed over her as she noticed your tear-filled eyes and red, stuffy nose.
"hey, hey, hey," she whispers as she takes a few steps toward you, "what's wrong?"
you blink a couple times, a tear falling down your cheek. you hesitated to answer her question.
"you know you can tell me anything, right?" ellie coos, her hands soothingly rubbing up and down your arms.
you nod, and bite your lip, thinking of how to word your response correctly, "d-dina said you both were leaving after my b-birthday."
ellie softens and an evident look of disappointment appears on her face, "yeah, we are."
you wipe your nose, looking up at her with glossy eyes, "it feels like you just got here and— and—" you sniffle, "you're leaving already."
ellie's heart soars understanding that you were upset because she was leaving. "i know and i'm sorry," she snakes her arms around your waist, pulling you close to her, "i wish i met you sooner."
ellie wished she met you first, she would actually have a chance at giving you both a shot without the guilt of betraying dina.
you bury your face into her shirt, the scent of her perfume wafting in your nostrils. god, there was just so much to do and so little time.
you pull your head back to get a good look at her face, to memorize her features, and sear them into your brain.
your eyes fell to her lips, and before you could even form a single thought, you leaned forward and pressed your lips against hers.
ellie instinctively pulled you closer by your waist, kissing back, moving her lips slowly with yours.
you slowly try to pull away from her lips, but she brings you back in for more, her grip on your waist never releasing.
"ellie," you breathe out, but it comes out sounding more like a moan, "w-we can't," you whine, "d-dina's here."
fuck. she stops, and pulls away from your lips, leaning her forehead against yours for a brief moment.
ellie plants a small kiss on your forehead, before letting you go and exiting the bathroom, leaving you alone once again.
-
"happy birthday, dear," the lady greets, leaning to give you a kiss on your cheekbone, "19 is such a fun age, don't take advantage of it, alright, hun?"
"sure," you hum, smiling back as the lady retreats back to the party, getting lost in the sea of people.
you had no idea who she was. actually, you didn't know a lot of the people here. a bunch of them were your father's associates from the law firm, some of your mom's book club members, and dina's friends from high school.
it was your birthday party, but your parents never turned down the idea of hosting a celebration if it was an excuse to mingle and network.
you head upstairs toward the balcony and step outside to the cool, summer night, leaning against the railing. you took a deep breath in, briefly closing your eyes in an attempt to gather your thoughts and clear your head.
"not enjoying the party?"
the sound of the voice causes you to spin in your spot, and you're met with ellie standing at the doorway. she was dressed in a white, collared dress shirt that was slightly unbuttoned at the top, with black slacks. her hair was down, in her signature mullet. you could tell she'd been drinking, as her eyes appeared dazed and she seemed more relaxed.
"uh— it was getting hot and stuffy in there," you tore your eyes away from her, "i just needed some air."
ellie sauntered over, standing next to you and placing her arms against the rail. her eyes raked over your body, drinking in how absolutely gorgeous you looked in your dress.
"you look beautiful tonight."
heat rose to your cheeks, and luckily the blush you wore today camouflaged the deepening crimson fading on your cheeks, "thanks."
"you always look beautiful, but you know, it's your birthday tonight and i had to remind you."
it was possible that ellie's words just fell from her lips because she was slightly inebriated, but it was true. ellie thought you were the most beautiful thing this earth could offer. you were the closest thing to heaven on earth.
but ellie couldn't have you, and without you, she was in her own personal hell.
you cleared your throat, attempting to wave off the tension in the air, "are you enjoying the party?"
she shrugged, "yeah, it's okay. i mean— dina's been introducing me to all your dad's friends and shit, trying to show me off like some kind of fuckin' trophy or something." she lets out a harsh laugh, "have you met my girlfriend ellie? she's a computer science engineer at yale! she's already done work for google and apple! isn't that so cool?"
ellie mocks dina's voice, and you can tell she has this slight bitterness to her. but you couldn't blame her for how she felt, dina only cared about the superficial things.
"oh...i'm sorry," you turn your head to face the view, "she's always been like that. trying to compete with everyone else and prove that she's better."
"yeah, i fucking hate that."
silence falls between you two again, and the elephant in the room couldn't be more obvious. it's been two days since the kiss in the bathroom occurred, and neither of you had even acknowledged it since then.
ellie would occasionally find herself thinking about the way your lips molded onto hers, and how she'd risk her relationship with dina just to experience it one more time. hell, she'd break up with dina.
it was hard for you to think about ellie without having the guilt bubble in your belly. you couldn't get ellie out of your head at all, and frequently spent those late nights fantasizing what it'd be like to be in dina's position, as ellie's girlfriend.
but, those feelings of shame always came to the surface and you tried to suppress them, pushing them into the dark corners of your mind, but as the day's progressed, it got harder and harder to do.
even being next to ellie made your body feel like it was on fire, and the urge to kiss her again was coming full throttle. you had to leave before you did something you both would regret.
"umm, i'll see you down there," you quickly sputter out before turning your heel to leave, but you felt ellie's hand grip your arm, stopping you.
"wait."
you force yourself to look at ellie, and your eyes connect with hers. your heart rate picked up, and suddenly the oxygen left your lungs. it was insane how one person could make you feel like this— like you could die if you were to let go.
"i—" ellie was about to let her heart speak for herself, and she was going to tell you everything. she was going to put her heart on the line and risk everything, for you."
"ellie! elllieee! where are yo— oh! there you are!" dina appeared at the doorway, a wide smile on her face as she finally found ellie. "where were you? i have to introduce you to this guy who works for this video game company! come on!"
before ellie can say anything, dina grabs her arm and drags ellie away.
the party happened and ended. you blew out your candles and cut the cake, and soon enough all the people left by midnight. dina was fast asleep on the couch in the living room downstairs, as the expensive, bubbly champagne had officially defeated your older sister.
your parents were asleep. dina was asleep. the only two people awake in the house was you and ellie, a deadly combination.
ellie was in the next room, intoxicated, and thinking about what her next moves were. she was leaving tomorrow and she knew that soon enough that you would be leaving for los angeles too, for college.
the thought of you possibly meeting someone new during college made her skin burn. ellie wanted to be that person for you, to be the one who made you laugh, to be the one who you called at the end of the day to tell her all about what happened in class, to be the one who gave you butterflies and made your heart flip.
fuck it, ellie thought, and the next thing she knew she was walking to your room and knocking on your door.
you swung the door open, and ellie swore she could've died and gone right to heaven. you were still in your birthday dress, but your hair was down, and you just looked like the most beautiful thing she'd seen in a long time. it was impossible that you were a real person.
"....ellie?" you spoke softly, and the sound of your voice knocked her out of her thoughts.
"huh? yeah— uh— fuck. sorry," ellie stammered, "can— can i come in?"
"sure."
you could smell the mixture of whiskey and her sandalwood perfume radiating off her body, and it was an addicting combination. you just wanted to bury your face in her neck and sniff her, as creepy as that did sound.
you sit down on the edge of your bed, crossing your legs, and ellie leans against your wall, with her hands stuffed in the pockets of her black slacks. she was still in her outfit, but the top of the buttons of her shirt were opened much wider, revealing a bit of skin.
silence falls in the room, and there was tension in the room. the room was beginning to feel humid and hot, and a small bead of sweat rolled down your temple.
ellie's eyes raked over you in your little dress, and how the dress bunches up just enough for her to get a peek of the sweet skin of your inner thighs, a paradise she's been dreaming of.
she wasn't sure if it was the little bit of alcohol still left in her system, but she could feel that familiar heat bubble in her core, making her feel even hotter.
"so, i was thinking, and i realized that i didn't say 'happy birthday' to you," ellie spoke softly, "i didn't even get you a gift."
your eyes widen, and you let out a small laugh, "it's fine, don't worry about it."
"nah, you've been so good to me, and— i mean— the least i could do is buy you something or take you out for dinner when me and dina come back for winter break."
your smile falters. when me and dina come back. the words echo throughout your head. me and dina. come back.
shaking your head, you try your best to respond without choking up, "i-it's okay..."
"what? don't be ridiculous-"
you cut her off, "it's f-fine, ellie," you breathe out, "i'm gonna head to bed now."
a pang hits ellie in the chest, and a look of hurt washes over her. "w-what? but i-"
you couldn't contain the jealousy that simmered in your belly, and it was partly due to the specialty cocktails you had tonight. you just had to have a midori sour.
"you and dina have to leave early tomorrow," you spat, with venom dripping off every word. it was enough to be noticed by ellie, and she received your message.
ellie doesn't say anything and her mind whirls in search of the words she wants to say.
after a few seemingly long minutes, she speaks up, "i think i'm gonna break up with dina."
your head snaps in her direction, your expression in utter disbelief, "what?"
ellie nods, "yeah."
"but, why?" you ask, "dina loves you and my family loves you—"
"dina is not who i want to be with."
you freeze, and your heart skips a beat.
"who do you want to be with?" you had an idea of who, but you played dumb, eager to hear her say the words.
"you."
time stops, and suddenly, everything feels like it's frozen in time, and the only two things that were present were you and ellie. for a moment, you let yourself imagine how things would be if she did break up with dina and went with you instead. of course, you would be over the moon being ellie's girlfriend, but at what cost?
dina would surely hate you if she already didn't and she'd make your life a living hell. and your parents? your dad would think you were a bigger disappointment, especially for ruining his perfect daughter's relationship.
you and ellie would face ultimate backlash, and wouldn't be on the receiving end of support from those close to you.
it pained you to think about it, but you had to be realistic.
"ellie......" you whispered, your voice coming out slightly strained, "i don't think we could be together."
ellie shakes her head, "we can. i'll break up with dina and— and— we'll have a long distance relationship and we'll come back—"
"and we'll be here? together? in front of dina and my parents?" you cut her off, hurt evident in your voice.
her demeanor faltered, and she was quiet for a moment. ellie understood your point of view, and how it'd be difficult to continue a relationship with her ex-girlfriend's sister.
"just stay with her."
ellie sighed, "no, even if we can't be together, there's no way i'm going to stay with her. no fucking way."
"but—"
"no. i don't want to be with her," ellie comes closer to where you were, causing you to stand on your feet and back up, "everyone is talking about how everyone else would feel. what about me? i can't fucking stand not being with you. you think i enjoy thinking about you while i lay with dina? do you even understand how hard it is for me to just look at you? do you know what you do to me?"
you feel the cool surface of the wall press on your skin as you were backed up against the wall. she had you cornered and you couldn't do anything about it, and a small part of you enjoyed this.
ellie's voice is low and raspy, "do you have any idea how much i think about you? having you as mine? thinking about the things i would do to you?"
you swallow hard, and you shake your head left to right, "ellie, you're just d-drunk."
she shakes her again, "i'm not. i'm one hundred percent sober."
"you're talking nonsense—" you try to convince her, but deep down inside, this was you trying to convince yourself.
"why can't you just face the fact that i want you?"
"because you're dating my sister!" the tone of your voice shocks the brunette.
"i can't— i can't have these feelings for you," you breathe out, "you're with dina."
ellie closes her eyes at the mention of her name, and again, silence fills the space.
"then let's forget about her, okay? for one night, i just want to forget about her," ellie whispers, "all i wanna focus on is you."
you search her face, and you bite your lip, actually contemplating the idea.
as you and ellie make eye contact, it was then you realize how close she was to you, you can nearly taste her lips if you leaned in further enough.
and in a swift move, ellie presses her lips against yours, pushing you against the wall. her hands cup your cheeks, kissing you with a sense of urgency and passion.
she takes control, and pushes her tongue in between your lips, roaming around in your mouth, eliciting a mewl from the back of your throat.
ellie's hands move to the back of your neck, and wrapped up in each other's lips, you both continue your way over to your bed, falling onto the mattress.
you pull away for a brief moment to flip her over, straddling her and sitting on her thighs.
ellie bunches your dress around your hips, fully exposing your thighs for her enjoyment. her cold hands send a shudder up your spine as they make their way to your thighs, "so fucking gorgeous."
ellie whispers, and she reconnects her lips against yours, and you couldn't help but grind your core against her, eager for friction as you feel a pool of wetness gather in your panties.
you let out a small whimper against her lips, and ellie grows more greedy, and slides her tongue inside your mouth again. the burning heat forming in your core begins to be harder to control, and you couldn't help but grind your pussy harder against her again.
the brunette smiles against your lips, and she takes hold of your hips, guiding you and placing you securely on her right thigh, "there, baby. grind that pretty fuckin' pussy on my thigh."
desperate for more, you place your arms around her neck for security and begin rubbing your panty-covered pussy against her pants, the fabric providing some friction on your swollen clit.
you couldn't suppress the soft whimpers that leave your lips, and ellie presses her lips against yours, drinking in every single moan that reverberates through your throat. she has you right where she wants you, wet and desperate for her.
"ellie.." your parted lips whine, "want more."
your pleas come out sounding as pathetic moans, and she smirks at the sight of you, eager for more.
"yeah? you want more, baby?" you nod frantically.
the brunette flips you over, takes you off her thigh and lays you on your back. using her knee to part your thighs, her fingers slowly trail down your inner thighs, and she uses her index finger to slide your panties to the side, sliding her finger down the wet slit of your pussy.
"shit," she curses, "so wet for me."
your hips buck up, craving more and more of her touch against your sensitive cunt, "ellie, please."
smirking, ellie pulls down your panties, the damp fabric pooling at your ankles, and she uses two fingers to spread your lips, the wet skin creating a slick-sounding echo throughout the room.
she uses one finger to rub your soaked, swollen clit, drenching her finger with your wetness.
"hmmph," you whimper, gripping her arm tight. ellie takes your lips in hers, muffling your pleading moans with her mouth as her fingers rub agonizing slow circles on your pussy.
she briefly pulls away from your lips, breathing heavily, "god, you're so beautiful when you moan."
ellie continues the circles against your clit, and you grab her wrist, stopping her, "e-ellie, please, i-i want more.."
the brunette pauses and thinks for a moment, "alright, baby, give me a second and wait here."
ellie places a kiss on your forehead, pulling her fingers out of you and quickly hurrying out of your bedroom. seconds later, you hear your door open and you see her come back in with a black strap and a harness.
"do you use that with—"
ellie cuts you off, "no. this one's new."
she takes off her shirt, and her black pants, leaving her in a plain black sports bra and plaid red boxers. she quickly hooks the harness around her hips and attaches the strap.
coming back on the bed, ellie looks at you with soft eyes, "is this okay with you?"
you nod, "yes, it's perfect."
she smiles, and she leans in to kiss you again, this time the kiss being much gentler than the previous one before. her hands make their way down your hips, and taking the hem of your dress in her hands, she slips it off of you.
pulling away, she takes the chance to gaze at your body. there was nothing but absolute adoration in those pools of green.
"you're beautiful, have i told you that?"
"only a couple times," you reply shyly, and ellie smiles, kissing your cheek.
her hands gently part your thighs, and she lines her cock up at your entrance. "we'll start off slow, yeah? you let me know if anything hurts, and i'll stop, baby."
looking up at her with glossy eyes, you nod. ellie takes the base of her strap and slowly slides it inside of your pussy, slowly filling you up.
"oh my god." was all you could muster.
"fuck," ellie curses, "you're so fuckin' wet for me, sweet girl."
filling you up almost completely, she grabs your waist and begins thrusting her hips, the strap easily sliding in and out of your wet pussy.
your eyes roll to the back of your head and you grab onto her arm, your grip tightening around her limb with each striking thrust.
the sound of clapping skin and wet slick fill the room, along with a combination of your soft whimpers and ellie's groans.
"keep your eyes on me, babe, wanna see those pretty eyes as i fuck you," ellie groans out, tilting your chin to look up at her.
how can something so wrong feel so right? she had your legs spread apart, with her strap buried deep inside you as dina slept soundly just downstairs.
it was hard to feel guilty when she was hitting every sweet spot inside you.
ellie leaned her forehead against yours, her thrusts never losing rhythm as you coat the black silicone in your white, cream.
as her strap slides in and out of your pussy, that familiar knot begins to form in your belly, and you feel almost as if you're nearing the edge.
"god, ellie— i think i'm about to cum," you stammer out, feeling your pussy tighten around her cock. ellie's eyes never stray away from yours, wanting to make sure you kept your eyes on her.
"yeah? come on, pretty girl, cum on my cock," she coaxes you, and her words cause that feeling of euphoria to wash over you, as you tip over the edge and writhe beneath her.
"ellie," you cry out, "i-i l-love you, fuck." you whimper out, as your pussy clenches around her, the black plastic strap squelching as your juices drip all over it.
"i love you, baby," ellie groans out, as she does one last thrust inside you, falling over in exhaustion onto the bed.
moments later, ellie gets up and takes the strap off. she cleans you up with a clean, wet rag, and climbs into your bed, the both of you still without clothes.
she drapes the blanket over your bodies, and she pulls you close to her.
"you okay?" she asks.
"mhm, i'm more than okay," you hum.
a comfortable silence falls, and you speak up again.
"i just wish you didn't have to leave tomorrow," you whisper, a stray tear falling down your cheek.
ellie kisses the top of your forehead, and rubs your back soothingly, "me neither, baby."
and you and ellie both fall asleep in each other's arms, just for this one night.
-
you really didn't want to have to see dina and ellie off.
it was sad enough that the girl you were in love with was dating your sister, but for her to go to university almost halfway across the country was something close to heartbreak.
luckily, ellie woke up early and got ready and packed up her things before dina woke up. but unfortunately, you woke up alone.
and for the rest of the morning, you stayed cooped up in your bedroom, not wanting to endure the sorrow of seeing ellie leave.
but she had to.
from your upstairs window, you watched as your father and ellie both began loading up the car with suitcases and other bags.
you didn't even want to say goodbye to her, knowing that the minute you saw her face, you'd burst into tears.
so, you just decided you wouldn't say anything to her at all. it was easier that way and it made a cleaner cut.
you hear a knock on your door, and your mother's head peeks out in your bedroom.
"hey honey," she coos, "come downstairs and say goodbye to ellie and dina."
you sigh and turn your head away from the door, "no, thanks. they'll be good without me."
you hear your mother sigh, and she shuffles into your room, closing the door behind you and sitting next to you on the bed.
"don't you wanna say goodbye to your sister, before she leaves?"
you shrug, "dee will be fine without my goodbye."
and for a moment, your mother is silent.
"well," she begins, "don't you want to say goodbye to ellie?"
you were stumped and you didn't reply.
"after all those late night conversations and such, i think ellie would want you to say goodbye."
your eyes widen in surprise, and you turn to look at your mother. "hold on, you know about that?"
she scoffs, "i may be your mom, but i'm not stupid." she laughs, "i can see things from a mile away, and my motherly intuition is telling me that...you like ellie."
you sigh and tear your eyes away from your mother, feeling ashamed, "i know, and i'm a terrible sister for that."
your mom soothingly rubs your back, "no, that makes you human. you can't help who you get feelings for, hun."
she tucks a piece of hair behind your ear and smiles at you, "ellie is an amazing girl, and i'm glad she realizes how wonderful you are."
tears fill your eyes, and you completely break down. your mom looks at you with sympathy, her heart cracking seeing her daughter experience heartbreak, "i love her, mom."
you let out these muffled sobs, and your mom takes you in her arms, comforting you as you cry.
as soon as you come back, she wipes your tears, and takes hold of your hands, "listen to me, sweetie," she coos, "if you love her, let her go, and if she comes back, she was always yours. but if she doesn't, it was never meant to be."
you laugh a little bit, "ugh, mom, that was corny."
"it is, but it's also true," she says, "which is why i think you need to say goodbye to ellie. life will take you in two different paths, and you'll regret it if you don't say anything."
absorbing her words, you nod and wipe your face with the sleeve of your sweatshirt. you get up from your spot, and hurry outside, nearly sprinting to the driveway, seeing dina already in the passenger seat and ellie about to get in the driver's side.
"wait!" you call out, and ellie's head snaps in your direction, a wide smile curling on her face.
first, you jog over to dina, "bye, dee. have fun at yale and stay safe."
you kept your words short and sweet.
"thanks, kid. go crazy in LA, okay?"
smiling, you nod at her and make your way over to the driver's side of the car, where ellie was standing and waiting.
you stand in front of her and you take a deep breath, before wrapping your arms around her neck and pulling her in for a tight hug.
you take this opportunity to whisper in her ear, only for her to hear, "maybe in the off chance we see each other again, and things are right, we can give us a shot."
"you better stay true to your words, pretty girl, because i plan on seeing you again," you can hear the smile in her voice as her arms wrap around your waist.
before anyone notices the prolonged hug, you pull away from her and stand next to your mom and dad, where you all wave goodbye to them as they pull away and disappear into the road.
maybe in another life, in another time, in another dimension, you and ellie were together.
you would have this big house overlooking the hills, and you'd have this amazing studio with huge windows to paint whatever you wanted and ellie would have her own office, dealing with her own ordeals. you would have a dog running around with a grumpy cat trailing along with them. you and ellie would always end the day with dinner together, and by the end of the night, you would be curled up in her arms and life would be perfect.
but this wasn't another life. for now, you and ellie were just two souls who are merely passing by each other in this lifetime. from strangers to friends, friends into lovers, and strangers again.

Omg I need a pt four with double the trouble on her talking with Wanda and Isla then her dating Maria bc I mean come on Maria> Bucky anytime and also her being a girl boss and I kinda wanna see what happens with her and Bucky and what sorry ass excuse he’s come up with
Double the Trouble [pt. 4] | n romanoff
Double the trouble au: part 1, part 2, part 3,
Summary: Natasha and Wanda's teenage twin daughters are a lot to handle, but despite their differences and arguments, there's nothing they wouldn't do for each other
Warnings: mentions of cheating
Pairings: WandaNat, O!C x Valkyrie
wc: 3.8k
-⧗-
Y/n had sworn off dating for the foreseeable future. Which was a bonus in Wanda and Natasha’s eyes, who only wanted to keep their not-so-little girls safe. Isla and Valkyrie were different, they were obsessed with each other. But for Y/n’s sake they kept the PDA to a minimum when she was around. Although it had been a week since Y/n found out about Bucky, she was still rather fragile, even if she hated being referred to as so.
She was quieter at home too. It was one of the rare nights where no one had any after school activities and Natasha wasn’t teaching. Wanda had cooked the girls’ favourite meal: tomato and chicken pasta with garlic bread. It was a childhood classic and 7 year old Y/n would have loved it.
But tonight it was different. The usual daily chatter occurred as plates were loaded up with food and everyone began to eat. Natasha and Isla were laughing as the young redhead explained a funny story about her science class, and even though Y/n had been there, her mouth didn’t even twitch into a smile.
She pushed her food around with her fork, stabbing the spiral pasta shapes rather aggressively but never bringing it to her lips. Her actions were repetitive and she zoned in and out without even realising. It’s not like anyone noticed.
But Wanda noticed. She smiled along with Isla’s story but kept her gaze fixed on Y/n the entire time, brows furrowing in a soft frown. She’d seen how much her youngest had drawn in on herself, but there had been little to no improvement, even after a week. Although Wanda wasn’t sure what the general time frame for this was; her first and only love was Natasha.
Her demeanour didn’t change throughout the whole meal time and soon everyone had finished eating, except Y/n. Natasha looked at her wife worriedly who just shook her head.
‘Can you take Isla out of the way for a bit? I need to talk to Y/n alone.’ Wanda spoke in Natasha’s mind. Her wife nodded and made a big deal of collecting up the plates, encouraging Isla to do the same and they both retreated into the kitchen.
“Y/n?” Wanda gently asked, tapping the table in front of the girl whose head was only being supported by her hand. “Sweetheart?”
The young girl hummed and looked up, tired eyes meeting her mothers across the table. She saw the look of pity that she despised so much and rolled her eyes, scraping her chair away from the table in order to leave the room.
“Y/n, wait!” But the teenager didn’t want another lecture on the way she was acting. She just wanted to be alone, didn’t anyone understand that? She didn’t even acknowledge the way her sister and mama fell silent as she stormed through the kitchen. Wanda followed only seconds later and they all watched Y/n’s hunched figure climb the stairs, a door slam following quickly.
“So it went well then?” Isla asked, holding her dripping and soapy hands over the sink as she looked between her moms. “She seemed happy.”
“Shush Isla,” Natasha muttered, handing her another plate to clean. Wanda was chewing on her lip anxiously and even thought Natasha wasn’t the one with mind reading abilities, and still knew what her wife was thinking. “Go talk to her, she isn’t allowed to storm off during a conversation.”
“But, don’t you-“
“Wands,” Nat said, gently holding her wife’s shoulders. “She needs comfort, even if she doesn’t want to admit it. And you’re the best at that, and you know it too.” The witch wasn’t convinced, but a quick kiss gave her a boost of confidence and she ascended the stairs to Y/n’s room, knocking softly.
“It’s me baby, can I come in?” There was the sound of faint rustling and a muttered curse sounded before the door opened slightly.
“I’m fine, I really don’t need-“
Wanda placed her hand on the door. “I know, I just thought you might want some company.” Hesitation was evident across Y/n’s face. “Stop shutting us out, please baby.”
Y/n sighed but opened the door, allowing Wanda to slip inside and close the door behind her. The room was dark, only the small bedside lamp acting as a light source. Y/n crawled onto her bed and leaned against her pillows, blanket pulled high around her body.
“Talk to me sweetheart, what’s going on?”
“Nothing, mom, it’s fine.” Wanda gave her a look. “It’s just- I’m fed up of feeling like shit everyday, but I can’t help it. Every time I start feeling remotely good about myself, I just see that picture and it makes me feel ten times worse. I know I wasn’t with him for very long, but he made me feel on top of the world, and now I feel like garbage.”
“You’re not garbage honey.”
“I know that, but god, why did she have to look like a supermodel?”
“I don’t know, but that’s not a reflection of you, it’s one of him. He made a bad move-“
“I spoke to him today,” Y/n suddenly blurted out. No one else knew what she’d done today, but she couldn’t stop herself.
“Oh?” Wanda couldn’t hide her surprise. She knew it would come eventually, but not this soon. “Was Isla there?”
Y/n shook her head. “No one saw.” She couldn’t stop herself from laughing, which was odd in Wanda’s eyes, though she didn’t dare question it. “I just had to ask why.”
“And what did he say?”
“The most pathetic thing he could think of. He said she came to him and there was nothing he could do, which is bullshit really. So I told him that if he was going to lie, don’t do it straight to my face because my mother is a spy and I see straight through that crap!” Y/n had thrown herself up from the bed and was pacing around, her hands dancing animatedly in front of her as she spoke. “And then- do you know what he said?”
“I think I can guess,” Wanda said with a grimace. “It wasn’t a lie?”
“Bingo!” Y/n yelled, clapping her hands together. “It wasn’t a fucking lie! Now, I wasn’t blessed with your magic but it’s pretty easy to tell how much he was forced into it by where his hands were. Were they by his sides? No! On her goddamn face!”
Wanda had never seen her daughter so riled up before. Sure, Y/n had her outbursts at times, but she’d never been like this. Pacing around the room, her body language was so animated Wanda was sure something was going to get knocked over. Y/n was muttering a spew of nonsense that didn’t even make sense.
She hadn’t spared Wanda much of a glance until her ranting slowly came to a stop and turned around to face her mom, bottom lip quivering as tears welled up in her eyes. This sudden change in demeanour had Wanda rushing over and scooping her into a hug, cradling her head into her chest gently.
“Oh baby it’s ok. It’s ok,” she shushed, rocking their bodies as Y/!n hiccuped into her chest. “Want me to get Mama?”
“I just want you.”
Wanda had to hold back the tears herself. She tightened her grip and pressed kisses to her daughter’s soft red hair. “I’ve got you babygirl, I’ve got you.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“You don’t need to be, everything will be ok.”
“No,” Y/n said, pulling away with a whimper. “I’ve let you and Mama down. I’ve been a shit daughter and sister and I’m really sorry.”
“No, baby, listen to me.” Wanda guided them to sit on the edge of the bed, her hands holding Y/n shaking ones tightly. “He was your first love, first loves are messy. They rarely turn out the way we want them to. But you’ve kept your heart through everything which means you love harder and deeper than most people. And that’s one of the most beautiful things about you.” She reached up to tuck a stray piece of hair behind Y/n’s ear. “Keep it for someone special, because one day that person is going to show up and be deserving of everything you have to give them.”
“How will I know?” Y/n asked, her voice hoarse. She really thought she understood love, but now she just felt like a kindergartener. Lost and always looking to others for guidance.
“It’s not something you know, it’s something you feel,” Wanda replied with a soft smile, tapping her daughter’s chest where her heart sat. “You’ll know when the right person comes along.”
“How did you know?” Her mothers’ love story was something of a fairy tale, and no matter old they got, herself and Isla never became sick of hearing it.
“I knew from the second she smiled at me. She always acted so tough around everyone but she let a smile slip and I knew right there that I was going to marry her.”
Y/n was silent for a few moments, mouth screwed up in thought.
“What’s on your mind?”
The young girl shrugged. “What if I never find that? What if there isn’t anyone out there for me?”
Wanda shuffled over and placed her arm around her daughter’s shoulders. “You’re 17 honey, so young. You have your whole life to find your special person. I didn’t meet your mama until I was in my late 20s. It will happen, I promise.”
“Not if I never date again.” Wanda chuckled at her dramatics, making Y/n smile too. “I’m serious!”
“I know, I know.” They both looked at each other before bursting into laughter. Even Natasha heard from downstairs and she smiled. That was her favourite sound. “It will get easier, you know. Suddenly seeing him won’t feel like the end of the world anymore.”
“I know. I just need distractions.”
Wanda’s eyes went wide as an idea popped into her head. “Why don’t you invite Maria around, and you guys can have a movie night downstairs on the couch? I’ll get Mama to fetch snacks and drinks if you want.”
“But it’s a school night.”
Wanda pulled Y/n in for a hug. “And how my daughter feels is a lot more important to me than some lousy school day. Give her a call and let me know what she says. If she can’t make it, then I guess you have to settle for me and Mama.”
“That doesn’t sound like a bad thing.”
Wanda had to stop herself from melting on the spot. She kissed her daughter’s cheek with a laugh. “Thank you for not being a typical teenager. I don’t know what I would do without my cuddles.” Standing up, she collected a pile of cups and plates that had collected in Y/n’s bedroom over the week. She gently closed the door behind her and was met by Isla and Natasha in the kitchen, sharing a bowl of ice cream.
“I heard laughter, so I’m guessing all went well?”
“For now, at least. I told her she could invite Maria over for a movie night tonight as a distraction.”
“Can I invite Valkyrie?” The moms looked at each other. “Please?”
“I suppose. But she can’t stay over, ok?”
Isla reluctantly with an eye roll before Y/n came into the room, the smile on her face a stark contrast from before. “She said yes!”
“Perfect. I’ll get snacks then,” Natasha announced, grabbing her car keys from the basket. “Isla you coming?”
“Absolutely not,” her eldest exclaimed. “It’s freezing!”
“I’ll come.”
Natasha grinned at Y/n and poked her tongue out at Isla who didn’t even notice as she looked at her phone. “That’s my girl, cmon.”
An hour later, everyone was snuggled on the large couch with a multitude of blankets spread out across the large couch. A rom com played on the large flat screen tv and Isla and Valkyrie were having a competition to see who could catch the most m&ms in their mouth at once.
Y/n and Maria cheered them on from their end of the couch, Y/n’s legs thrown carelessly over her best friend’s lap. The brunette didn’t even notice how her hands rested on her ankles or even how close they were to each other.
They all settled down to watch properly but Y/n had a hard time keeping her eyes open. Her head kept nodding back against the couch arm rest but she refused to sleep. She’d dragged Maria all the way out here, it would be unfair if she fell asleep.
But she couldn’t keep sleep away forever. Isla and Valkyrie had disappeared upstairs, leaving Maria and Y/n curled up together. The young redhead was fast asleep, her head resting on her best friend’s chest. Maria had her arms wrapped protectively around her and her chin gently rested on the side of Y/n’s head. Her eyes were fixated on the movie but every now and then they blinked heavily, the dark room not helping her fight the tiredness.
Wanda and Natasha silently observed from the doorway, noticing a lack of their eldest daughter, and their youngest’s current position. Natasha gave her wife a knowing look before looking back at Y/n. Maria had succumbed to sleep just as the credits started rolling, the upbeat music doing nothing to break their slumber.
Wanda reached for the remote whilst Nat tucked another blanket around both bodies to keep them comfortable. Maria stirred and Nat held her breath, but the brunette only adjusted her grip on Y/n and held her tighter before falling back asleep again.
“What about school tomorrow?” Natasha whispered as she rejoined Wanda in the doorway, fingers hovering over the light switch.
“Y/n is happy. Missing a day of school isn’t the end of the world. We’ll let them rest.”
They closed the door and headed towards the stairs, deciding not to check on Isla. She knew the sleepover rules and they both trusted her enough.
“I really do love you,” Wanda sighed at the bottom of the stairs, looping her arms around Natasha’s waist. “I’m so glad I decided to marry you.”
“I don’t know where this is coming from, but I love you, my wonderful wife.” Natasha Romanoff, ever so cheesy.
“I love you and our girls more than anything,” the Sokovian mumbled against Natasha’s lips before they kissed. It was short and sweet and reminded Wanda so much of their first kiss all those years ago.

NO IDEA | profiles #2
gal pals & two men | masterlist | next
y/n, the beloved third year dance major. always dreamt of being on a cheerleading squad and finally joined after her gal pals (seulgi & yuqi) convinced her to. lives off campus with them as well. considered popular because of her boyfriend, hyunjin, but many people know her through cheerleading. busies herself by going to the basketball games to cheer for hyunjin and her friends. spams her spam account with shits and giggles, and is usually the one texting in the group chat.
the chatty and bratty third year dance major, song yuqi, is a talkative girl who's well known all around because of her beauty and careless personality. shares an off-campus apartment with y/n and seulgi. had ONE past relationship, but it ended badly (everyone hates her ex-girlfriend). looks nice but is actually a menace. the group loves her, though, because she brings fun. her snarky remarks with chenle always make the group chat more enjoyable. works part-time at a convenience store with mark.
kang seulgi, a last year student majoring in fashion to become a stylist. is the opposite of yuqi. looks like a menace but is actually a huge sweetheart. can't be mean to anyone for the life of her, which is where y/n and yuqi (mostly yuqi) come in for the rescue. is THAT student who goes all out with her outfits and shows up to class looking like she popped out of someone's pinterest feed. adopted y/n and yuqi into her apartment when she scouted for new roommates after her last ones graduated. loves updating the group chat with stupid things, and is the one answering y/n most of the time.
now, everyone knows the last year music composition major, mark lee. his popularity sprouted due to his kindness, talent, and attractive looks, especially. besides seulgi, he's also the one answering the group chat. joined the group after befriending yuqi at their shared job. has a weird obsession with becoming the next asian spiderman, or marvel, in general. still says "i love you 3000" as a form of endearment, but no one bullies him for it 'cause half of the school has a crush on him.
zhong chenle, the youngest of the bunch! a second year sports sciences major who joined the basketball team because of his close friend, jeno, who shares the same major as him. yuqi's nemesis (jokingly, i think). sometimes doesn't think before he talks, but the group thinks he's cute so he gets away with it. loud and immature, and yet he (and mark) still hold most of the brains in this friend group. befriended y/n and the group through mutual friends and they immediately hit it off because she found him so funny.
hyunjin and y/n's combined group (basically just hyunjin's friend group) note: these accounts won't be seen as often since they're mainly associated with hyunjin! (besides jeno and chenle)

SUMMARY: It's time to celebrate your sister's wedding! What a wonderful celebration you'll have... if only you were the bride. Based on Hamilton's song Satisfied AUTHOR NOTES: Here is my first ever fic based off of a song, so please be gentle with me! This is a total labour of love and I hope you all enjoy it. @entermxnson I love you, thank you so much for the support and always reading my work it means a lot. @reidsbtch thank you for reading it for me and giving your opinion. Credit to @cafekitsune for the amazing dividers.
The door shook as you flung it open, rushing inside desperate for a moment of solace. The tears you'd been fighting since the beginning of the ceremony were already starting to slip from your eyes as you slammed the bathroom stall shut. Sitting on the toilet seat you watched the awful pink plume of a dress your sister chose rise for a moment. Anger and frustration caused you to fight it down to reach for the tissue as the tears truly began to fall.
Nothing felt right, everything inside you just hurt. Having to watch the man you love marry another woman ripped your heart in two. Maybe you would have learnt to deal with it, but the person he married was your sister. Mascara tears flowed down your face, you were unable to stop them. He looked so handsome today, he looked so perfect. But he wasn't yours, he was hers. Prince Steve Harrington chose his bride and that was your younger sister.
The door to the bathroom opened, and heels clicked gently as someone entered the room. “It's almost time for your toast.” It was your youngest sister, did she know you were crying? Did she know you loved your sister's husband? “Dad is about to start.” You wiped your eyes and steadied yourself, hoping that she'd not hear the sadness in your voice as you spoke. “I'll be right out, this damn dress is a pain to go to the bathroom in.”
She laughed, she didn't know. “I'll tell Dad to start, maybe Dustin can give his speech before you.” You smiled, thankful at the idea. “I'll be right there.” You said once more. There was a pause and your heart thumped hard as you thought she was going to say more. “Okay.” She finally said before her heels clicked away and the door swished open and shut. You sat there in science for a moment, the tears still wanting to trickle down your face. But you knew you needed to lock them away.
Standing up, you stepped out of the stall to see the damage your tears had done to your war paint. Fixing it the best you could, you then took several deep breaths and left the bathroom to face your doom. You hated public speaking, but you had to do this, you had to because she'd begged you to stand here and raise a glass in front of the royals, in front of his friends and your friends. In front of Billy Hargrove, you should've agreed to date all those years back instead of telling him he disgusted you.
Stepping into the room, you could feel a sinking feeling in your stomach as you approached Dustin Henderson and the microphone. “Alright, alright. Here's the moment we've all been waiting for, give it up for the maid of honour!” You smiled gently and took the microphone as everyone around you clapped. Taking a deep breath, you stared at the floor trying to focus. You needed to speak, you needed to say something but your heart was aching, your stomach swirling, and you just wanted to run away. “I’m not much for public speaking, so I’m going to keep this short and sweet.” You said with a gentle and almost awkward laugh.
You stared at the floor for a moment, trying to come up with words. You were meant to have something written, but you hadn’t been able to. Each time you tried to put something on paper all you could do was think about Steve and how he was meant to be yours. How he should’ve been yours. Now it was dooms day and here you were, nothing prepared and all fucking eyes were on you. You could always wing it, no one would know. Right?
Snapping out of your trance, you looked up and smiled. “A toast to the groom.” You said lifting your glass to the room. “And to the bride, from your sister who is always by your side.” You said with a smile and placed a hand on your chest. You did love her, even if your heart was shattered, she was your best friend. “To your union, and the hope that you provide to everyone here.” You smiled around the room as your cup was lifted high. “May you always…” your eyes landed on Steve, his eyes were glued to yours. His long fingers held his champaign flute high as he watched you. “Be satisfied.”
As the words left your mouth, as your eyes took in the sight of the man you loved, he slowly lowered his glass while everyone toasted. The pair of you stared deep into each other's eyes, unable to look away. The world around you began to rewind and go back to that night that you would regret for the rest of your days. The night you met and lost the only person who you ever wanted, and you gave up for family.
The lights twinkled like candlelight, it felt like a dream as you and your sisters arrived at the party. From the moment you stepped inside the ballroom, eligible men began to fawn over the three of you, desperate to get your attention. Your family was well off, and everyone knew it. Weaving through the crowd, you got yourself a glass of champagne and swayed to the music enjoying the scene around you for a moment as you stood alone.
Several men had approached you while you enjoyed your time people-watching, not a single one was interesting to you at all. Hargrove, Munson, Byers. With a simple smile and a decline of dancing, they moved on quickly to other women, some trying your sisters, some approaching Nancy Wheeler or Tammy Thompson. None of them mattered to you, even interested you. They didn’t make your heart race.
But then you saw him.
Everything changed in that moment, you knew you'd never be the same again. Those beautiful eyes, that perfectly crafted jaw. Slender body, he looked muscular even if he looked a tad skinny. His eyes locked to yours, and it was as if time stood still for a moment. He began to move fighting against the sea to meet you. Straight across the dance floor, bumping into couples, his eyes never leaving you for a second.
Maybe it was gravity, he was the sun and you were a planet. Or maybe he was a magnet attracting you with an intensity that you had never felt before. Either way, you made your way to him, meeting near the edge of the dance floor. Your eyes focused on each other, neither daring to look away.
“Hi.” Your heart skipped a beat as he continued to stare deep into your soul. His voice was as silky smooth as caramel. What was a proper greeting? What was your name again? You couldn't remember as you stared at him, fuck how could someone have such an effect on you? This never happened to you before, you weren’t that sort of person.
“Hi.” You finally managed to say. He smiled and stretched his hand out. “May I have this dance?” He questioned, before he could even finish his sentence your hand was on his. His touch set you on fire, every part of you aflame.
Moving to the dance floor, the pair of you began to dance. His arm around your waist as he held your hand, your other resting on his shoulder. Your bodies moved close together, an intense desire bubbling between the two of you, that neither of you had ever felt before. You couldn’t take your eyes off of his face. The way moles littered his face, how his hair just fell perfectly in place almost like he wasn’t even trying. Was this what love felt like?
“You strike me as a person who has never been satisfied.” The way he spoke in your ear sent your stomach twisting, desperation and desire bubbling up inside of you. You were practically salivating as you felt yourself becoming turned on by his voice. “I’m sure I don't know what you mean, you forget yourself.” You replied looking up at him. He was bold, and you liked it.
He smiled, a boyish smile on his face. “You're like me, I'm never satisfied.” His face was close to yours, you could feel his breath on your face as you thought about what it would be like to feel his lips on yours. Biting your lip, you looked up at him attempting to keep your composure. “Is that right?” You asked, unable to stop the smile from breaking through. “I've never been satisfied.” He whispered to you. Your eyes met as your lips moved close to each other’s. You didn’t feel like you could breathe, you wanted him.
You told him your name with a smile, proud of your family. “Steve Harrington.” He replied. “Where is your family from?” He smiled and shook it off. “Unimportant, there's a million things I haven’t done, so just you wait.” He told you as his forehead touched yours. His hands fidgeting didn't go unnoticed, or the way he looked away for a moment. It was like he was hiding something.
He was so graceful on his feet, his eyes were locked to yours at each moment. You couldn't stop smiling. Even as the song ended, you were meant to clap for the band. But Steve kept hold of your hand, not wanting to let you go. He escorted you to the side so you could talk more.
You began to talk about literature, about science, and so much more. He was like you, you had so much in common. You'd never before met someone who matched your wit. What was the catch? He seemed too good to be true, was it possible to see find your soulmate tonight?
You couldn't stop the hopeful feeling inside you. You rarely found someone that you had so much in common with, and yet here you were. Steve Harrington, the man who came from nowhere and wormed his way into your heart with only a few minutes of your time.
Of course you couldn't help but notice how much of a flirt he was, the way he touched your arm, the way he gazed into your eyes. His smile was causing you to melt on the spot, for heat to pool between your legs. You needed him more than you could ever begin to admit.
He was so handsome, and he clearly knew it. Your eyes studied his jaw and how his beard fuzz was beginning to settle in. His eyes were the most captivating thing you'd ever seen and the way his face was decorated with moles and freckles. Were they all over his body? You questioned mentally as he spoke, saying something to make you laugh.
You decide that you want to take him away, that you want to be alone with him, that privacy was something you were desperate for with Steve. You were in society, of course you shouldn't be thinking about what the pair of you could do alone, but it was so very tempting. Alone with Steve, a place where your lips could meet and the pair of you could give into the hunger that you both felt.
Turning to lead him away, your eyes landed on your sister across the room. Her eyes were on Steve and you suddenly realized the look she had on her face, she was in love. She was helpless as she gazed at Steve, she wanted him as badly as you did and as you stared at her you began to realize three reasons you shouldn't be with him.
“Where are you taking me?” You heard Steve ask, your hand still holding his. “I'm about to change your life.” You tell him with a smile. “Then by all means lead the way.” He said his fingers brushing over yours as he smiled. You know that this is the last moment he will be yours, the last minute that you will ever see him look at you that way.
Number one.
You were the oldest, it was your job to marry a well off man who could help take care of your father when he was old. You were the best choice though, even if you did say so yourself. But from the insidious gossip that echoed throughout the town Steve was penniless… but that didn't mean you wanted him any less.
You watched your sister introduce herself to Steve, a shy but bold smile as she looked at him. His eyes looked toward you as he heard the last name. “She's my sister.” You said with a charming grin.
Number two.
He was only after you because of your last name, you'd be naive to ignore that. He knew you were rich, he knew that it would set him on the right path. You couldn't have someone using you, so your sister seemed like the better option. Of course if you'd of realized the truth, if you knew who he was you'd have kept him for yourself.
Watching as the two of them spoke, the way he held her hand and placed a kiss on it, it hurt. He was meant to be yours, he should've been yours. “I'll leave you to it.” You walked away, your hand moving to your chest as you did, it hurt. You were in so much pain at the loss of him. If you'd of looked back you'd have seen his eyes on you asking you to stay, asking for you.
Number three.
You knew your like you knew yourself, she was a good person and if you told her that you loved him she'd resign and he'd be yours. But you couldn't do that to her, you couldn't tell her that. Even if you told her that you loved him, and she told you that it was fine to have him. You knew she would've been lying. Glancing back for just a moment, you felt your heart breaking. He was no longer yours.
As your words for your toast echoed around you, you glanced down at the glass in your hand. You tried your best to keep your emotions in check. Looking up you smiled, before walking away. You didn't want to stay here, you couldn't stand it.
Stepping out into cool night air, your hands held onto your chest. Every night since you first met you think about him, you'd fantasize about his eyes and each little part of him. You wished you'd not sized him up so quickly. It had been the biggest blow when you discovered he was a prince.
Tears began to trickle down your cheeks, at least you knew your sister would be happy as his bride. You'd never seen her so fucking happy. Even if you were miserable, at least she was. You honestly didn't care about the crown, didn't care that he was royal or rich, you only cared about him. But now your sister was his princess.
A jacket wrapped around your shoulders, cutting the cold from reaching you. You didn't need to turn around to know who it was, you could smell the expensive cologne. His presence always caused your heart to flutter. It always made your stomach twisted and made you feel nervous.
It was Steve.
“You strike me as a person who has never been satisfied.” He said in your ear, you could feel his touch, feel his hands on your waist and it was driving you insane.”I don't know what you mean, you forget yourself.” You whisper gently as you turn your head to look at him.
Your bodies were close, his hands on your arms, his breath in your ear. You just wanted him to hold you and tell you it was okay. Sighing gently you bit your lip. “You're like me, I'll never be satisfied.” He whispered to the point you could feel his lips on your ear.
“You shouldn't have said that in your toast.” Turning around you looked at him, your tears shon in the light. Slowly Steve reached up and wiped away your tears. “I don't care…” you whispered your voice breaking as you spoke. Without a word he pulled you into a hug and held onto you tightly.
You could feel his large hands on your back, the way he held you made you wish that you didn't just have to fantasize about him. But you knew that your sister would be happy as his bride, you couldn't do that to her. You didn't have it in your heart to hurt her.
Pulling back slightly, you looked into Steve’s eyes. His fingers moved to brush your hair from your face. “I will never be satisfied.” He whispered as he kept his eyes on you, unable to look away. You wanted so desperately to just have one kiss, just a single kiss with him. But you couldn't, he wasn’t yours.
Hearing calls of his name he glanced back toward the hall and sighed. Leaning forward he pressed his head against yours for a moment. Just soaking in that feeling of how losing a soulmate felt. You stood together, foreheads pressing to each other for maybe a moment before he stepped away.
Slipping off his jacket, you pushed it into his hand. It seemed as he took it his scent went with him. He looked you in the eyes one last time, glaning down you sighed as you heard his footsteps recede. It felt like he was walking out of your life forever. Looking up, you watched him as he glanced at you one last time before he left to go back inside to find his bride. As he disappeared in the crowd, the sadness bubbled over and the tears started once more.
“He will never be satisfied.” You whispered as you took a seat on a bench, your hands wiped away your tears as his lingering touch faded from you. “I will never be satisfied.”

Random Facts About Galileo
Bayverse!Donatello x reader
All Children Dorothy Marie
A/N: The first time I ever heard of Galileo was through a children's book called “Os to, Oskar… for evigt” by Bjarne Reuter, which translates to “Us two, Oskar… forever”. It is about a boy that finds a lion in his bedroom, called Oskar. The lion teaches the boy about the stars and eats his licorice, and soon the two become very good friends. I don’t remember how it ends, but whenever I hear the name Galileo, I think of a boy watching stars with a lion while eating candy.
Warnings: None💜
It is very obvious why you and Donnie decided on the name Galileo for your first born son. Named after the Italian philosopher and physician Galileo Galilei, and one of Donnie’s greatest idols. This set in motion a theme of names, that all of your children would be named after - historic people of science.
Galileo, nicknamed Gali, is the child with the longest age gap to his youngest siblings, being five years. Now, this comes with its pros and cons. But in Gali’s eyes, it mainly had its cons. He loves his sisters, but damn, could they be annoying. It could be very frustrating at times.
That is why Gali’s bedroom isn’t next to his sisters. The hallway of you and Donnie’s family, is located on a built in floor above the living area. One that Donnie made himself, and purposefully designed so that you and your husband's bedroom was placed between Gali and his sisters’ bedrooms. That at least brought a little more peace, but not always.
Gali had a strange relationship with messes. If it is a mess he has created, usually in his room, he would have no problem with it. He could have his floor littered with clothes, toys or whatever, and he wouldn’t have a problem with it. But was it a mess someone else had created, he couldn’t stand it. He wouldn’t be able to find these things, and oftentimes causing much stress. Which is one of the many reasons why he hates it when either you or Donnie tries to clean his room.
At Gali’s 15th birthday, he was gifted a weapon from Splinter as per tradition in your wonderfully special ninja family. He was given a jumonji yari. A spear-like weapon with three blades at one end. Splinter had decided on this weapon, due to more than just Gali’s personality. As your son grew older, it became evident that he had strong physical resemblance to his father - tall and lean, made for such a weapon.
Gali HATES being interrupted. If his hiding in a far corner of the lair, reading a book or playing a video game, it’s best to just leave him alone. He’s hiding for a reason. If only his sisters could just learn it…
You and Donnie had always seen the development of your children's knowledge as something important. But you also knew that knowledge came from experiences. Therefore you would often bring your children to April and Casey’s farmhouse, spending family time together along with teaching your kids about the outside nature. That was something Gali always looked forward to. Even before the birth of his siblings, Gali would learn about the forest with much enthusiasm. You would never forget the day you sat outside with your newborn twins, when your 5 year old son came running, wanting to show his sister the bug he and your husband had found somewhere between the trees. It was adorable to watch!
It was Gali who came up with the idea of the Big Siblings Club, which Romeo and Joan happily took part in. That involved hanging out every once in a while, and rant about their younger siblings, or generally just doing activities that excluded their younger siblings.

Bro your writing is literally so cute and it makes me smile so hard man!!
I was wondering if I could request Floyd Ace and Malleus with an Edward Elric reader? (Basically really smart and comes from a non magic world where the powers used is alchemy also is really short for their age (149 cm) and hates when anyone calls them short reader also has a mechanical right arm and left leg)
Imagine Floyd just popping off the reader’s left leg and running away with it or sm and the reader chases after him at full speed with a makeshift leg they made using alchemy
. . . Alchemical Genius
pairings : Floyd Leech , Ace Trappola , Malleus Draconia x gn!Edward Elric!reader
genre : fluff
cws/tws : stealing of prosthetic limbs as a joke?? (<- non graphic descriptions)
a/n : sorry that Malleus’ part is like pretty short compared to the others I’m becoming like really sleepy as I’m finishing this
Floyd Leech !!
Finds your mechanical limbs so damn cool!! There isn’t much merfolk down in the Coral Sea that use prosthetics and he really only was properly introduced to them when he made it on land so he was fascinated with you like a science experiment.
But even if he finds your stuff cool…that won’t stop him from teasing you for your height…
I mean c’mon, he’s 6’1 (185cm) and you’re 4’8 (149cm), he can’t NOT take the opportunity.
Because of it, he tends to pick you up as if you were as light as a feather whenever you started getting annoyed at him. Either running around the hallway or just simply picking you up to spin you around (he holds your mechanical limbs while doing so though because he’s not entirely sure if they can just…fall off.)
But the rule is that only he can do that, only he can tease his Shrimpy like that >:( Anyone else will get squeezed hard with no hesitation.
Comes to you every time he’s too lazy to do alchemy homework and no matter how much you deny him you know you’ll end up giving him the answers, but when you're in the mood you'll just explain things to him (even when he understands it anyways) just to bore him enough to do the homework himself.
In the situation he just outright steals a mechanical limb from you...it could become quite the regular sight, Floyd running with a detached metal leg around the hallways while you blast yourself full speed at him to get it back using a temporary alchemy-made leg.
Ace Trappola !!
Thinks your mechanical limbs are cool v2. And you're good at alchemy? He def scored on friends in his first year.
Him scoring high on friends doesn't mean he scored high in alchemy though, with you not allowing him to copy your answers. And he learned not to bother you about it after the last time Professor Trein had to break him and you apart after he annoyed you a tad bit too much for the alchemy questions...
Honestly he doesn’t really have much to comment about your mechanical limbs like at all. He found them cool at first because “wow you have metal limbs” but after a while it’s just become as normal as biological limbs.
Especially since the most that can be seen is your hand and occasionally your ankle since the NRC uniforms are long sleeves, so they never drew too much attention in the first place.
Unbelievably jealous that you’re one of the top scorers in alchemy class since you were already very well-versed in alchemy from your studies and job in your old world. I mean, how does he even think of besting someone that was the youngest State Alchemist?!
He keeps up with whoever’s on the number one spot during exams since it’s ALWAYS either you, Riddle, or Azul.
You’re the shortest in the friend group and Ace teases about it from time to time but most of the time he just lowkey forgets about it, even when he literally has to look down to talk to you.
Malleus Draconia !!
Extreme height difference v2, this time it qualifies as a long distance relationship.
But also forgets about it, I mean he’s 6’5 and has had Lilia as his guardian for years, he doesn’t care for something as trivial as height differences.
The thing about you that makes him the most curious would be your prosthetics.
The people of Briar Valley heavily rely on magic, so even when there were veterans who’s limbs were cut off during the war they’d just use magic to do day-to-day things.
So having you, a human with replacement limbs, in front of him really piqued his curiosity. He’d ask a few questions and tried not to tread too far and possibly ask something too personal, but sometimes he’d do just that without meaning to.
It ticked you off, yeah, but you tried to understand where he’s coming from and cool down before telling him that you didn’t want to answer it (to which he’d be understanding of.)
He’d also be impressed that you became a State Alchemist back at your world at such a young age, he even pitied you slightly since you seemed to have such a bright future before getting plucked off to Twisted Wonderland.
Occasionally keeps up with whoever’s the top scorer during exams since you, Azul, and Riddle always seem to be competing with each other, this became even more apparent during housewarden meetings (whenever he got invited to it at least.)

Jack Hodgins Having a little sister:
Paring: Jack Hodgins x Little Sister!Reader
Summary: having Jack Hodgins as an over protective big brother and being 'queen of the lab'
A/n: this is short and kinda sucks. Request are open for bones.
💚MasterList 💚mood bord
Jack practically raised you, your parents did love you very much but they were always working and that's just how it was.
Intentionally or not your parents missed the little things, like school concerts or marching season when you were in the band, Jack didn't miss one and always there chearing you on.
Your just as, if not smarter than Jack, and like your big brother you showed interest in becoming a Forensic Entomologist like him. You always looked up to him and wanted to be like him.
The only difference is your more interested in the animal/reptile aspect than the bugs like he is.
Your office/lab is full of lizards and turantulas, and you've named all of them.
Your terrified song snakes though, you hate them with a passion and jack of course knows it and tries to keep the ones he has in the Lab away from you. It doesn't work sometimes.
“Jack there's a snake in my office!” you shouted standing on your wheely chair. Jack came running in to get ride of it. “it's just a black snake, he's more scared of you than you are of him”
He didn't say that to tease you, he just genuinely trying to reassure you so you won't panic all the time. “I beg to differ”
Your the youngest on the team putting you about 20 years old when you and team first started to work together.
With that, Jack is very protective of you and makes sure your shown the same respect he and the team are.
People and other people of science might underestimate you, your young and have tattoos and have a more goofy personality. Jack and the jeffersonian team will always have your back if it comes to people disrespecting you and your always proving the snobby scientists wrong.
You always feel safe with your brother, even in the most dangerous situation. When you and him were buried in the car by the Gravedigger you had absolute faith you'd get out of there, no matter how scared you were.
“We're gonna be okay...i promised mom I'd always protect you” he said.
You both got out with your friends family's help. Angela and Lance were waiting for you both and relieved to have you safe.
Speaking of Angela, she just like a big sister to you. You are both close and you feel you can always go to her for help.
Angela's dad, Billy is also loves you and is like a father to you. While he was putting the fear of god and tattooing Jack, he was showing you how to play guitar.
Even if you and Angela are close, Seeley is your best friend. While he teases Jack and calls him 'bug boy' he genuinely love you like a sister and doesn't mess with you.
Jack wanted to give an over protective big brother talk to Lance when you started dating, but he couldn't. He liked Lance to much and trusted him.
“just don't hurt her”
He walked you down the aisle at yours and Lance's wedding.
Your always involved with his experiments and it drives Cam crazy. She loves you usually let's you get away with it.
Since Jack is 'king of the lab' your the 'Queen of the lab'.
He's literally the coolest uncle ever and your like a second mother to Michael-Vincent.
You've always got each other's backs, you were there when he got put in his wheelchair and helped him learn how to deal with it.
Sometimes people don't understand how you two can be so close and not find each other annoying.
Jack could never get mad at you and if he does it doesn't last long.
Sometimes his over protectiveness gets annoying, but you know he means well.
“Hodgins have each other's backs no matter what” You guys always say.

Welcome back to the Avatar Programme
Summary: I was part of the Avatar programme. Simple as that. Then that changed after the schoolhouse incident.
WARNING!! Death of children, Heartbreak, Angst
Part 1 of ?
I was part of the Avatar programme. Simple as that. Arriving on Pandora was something I couldn't imagine. Everything I knew about this planet learnt ahead of time. Training and learning about the natives, and their language of the planet alongside Tom Sully and Norm. Though I was the youngest in the programme at 19 years old, five-foot-eight (173cm), and fresh out of medical school, with that I tried my hardest to keep up with everyone. Becoming quick friends with Tom during training, and I was sent in cryo first with his full support. He was like a big brother I never had. And more.
I logged nearly five-hundred hours, much like Norm to his dismay. So when I reached Pandora before Norm and Tom I worked twice as hard. I think Dr. Augustine saw something in me, even hand-picking me to join her school in 2150. Though I was supposed to be a medic, I was researching new plants and herbology to cure diseases and new strains of viruses for the humans back on earth. I helped teach English to Dr. Augustine’s school, using my avatar on the side. Small children and teenagers that came learnt a lot, and quickly too. A little boy, Anuk, learnt the fastest. He was a cute little boy that followed behind me like a little lemur, sometimes even climbing on me, sometimes braiding little beads into my hair. His sister, Kirëya, a bit older, loved my drawings of plants, even helping identify a few new ones. I loved drawing the children, and giving my drawings to them, now even teaching art as my mother did many years ago. To be honest, I kind of fell in love. Not just with the people, but also the culture, the rainforest, the fauna, everything.
But when I wasn't in my avatar, I was in the lab. Dissecting plants, researching it's biological structure, testing against strains of a disease running rampant on earth, FE1-07. When I wasn't doing that I was sleeping, most of the time on my desk, too busy to even eat. Dr. Augustine would look at me worried, she noticed my slightly sunken cheeks and darkened eyes. She dragged me to the medical bay one morning, after I had only eaten a cereal bar and drank three cups of coffee in the span of 42 hours. She was right to of course, I was malnutritioned. She started coming down on me hard about eating, physically dragging me to the canteen, making me sit with the science team and eating the horrible food.
“Call me Grace,” she finally told me. I always called her ‘Doctor Augustine’ out of respect. To me she was always going to be my superior. Hell, I think I saw her more as a mentor and after she dragged me to the medical bay, a mother figure. She reminded me too much of my mother who had passed away from lung cancer.
I miss Na’vi food. It was much more nutritious and healthy compared to what was served on the metal trays. I didn't know it at the time, but every time Grace dragged me to the canteen, I had caught the attention of a certain man, the head of security. All I knew about him was that Grace hated him, she grumbles about him often, though I've never physically met him before.
Every morning was the same. Wake up at 4am, have a cup of coffee, go to relieve myself, then head to the cradle. It had been nearly two years since I had joined Grace’s school and this one was no different, Max helping me link. Waking up at the Avatar compound, I started my day by checking on the growing fruits, plucking a few ripe ones for the children, before heading over to the school.
“(Y/N), stop there,” Grace loudly stated out as I approached the school, getting closer I noticed the many bullet holes riddled. My happy expression fell. Dropping the fruit I ran to the door, Grace stopped me as my eyes fell on the bodies of Anuk and Sylwanin, the oldest daughter of the Omatikaya clan leader and Tsahìk. My knees weakened as I saw the young boy lifeless on the ground. All I could feel was anger and pain. Anuk. Dead. I howled in agony. The young boy who made me smile and laugh, now lifeless on the ground.
Grace held me tightly, now crying too. How was she going to explain this? How was she going to explain this to the Omatikaya clan leader? We cried in each other's arms, until there were no more tears.
“Where are the other children?” I ask quietly.
“They’re safe. We have to bring them back to Hometree, so they can rest with their ancestors,” Grace rubbed my shoulders, she stood up before leaning down to pick up Sylwanin. I did the same with Anuk. His body was cold and limp which hurt even more. When I played with the kids, they loved being picked up as I twirled them around, sometimes carrying three of them at the same time and spinning around, something I often did with my young cousins back on earth. Their laughter always sounded so sweet and cheerful. Anuk’s the most boisterous and contagious. I teared up at the memory as Grace led me to Hometree, a place I had never been to until this moment.
As we neared Hometree, Grace stopped for a moment. I could tell she was scared, it was my first time seeing her expression. But we pressed forward. As we approached closer to Hometree some of the Na’Vi villagers noticed us. Holding two of their own. When they realised who we were carrying, their expressions changed to horror. Two children of their tribe in the arms of demons. That was the word they used. It stung like a wasp's sting, but it didn't hurt as much as Anuk’s death. There came a commotion, the natives outraged at the sight. One of the Na’Vi threw a rock at my face, yelling curse words. I could only wince in pain as the rock collided with my cheekbone, I held Anuk’s body closer protecting his limp figure as a reflex.
“Mawey! Mawey. Txum. It was not our fault,” Grace cried into the crowd (Calm! Calm down. Please).
“kempe ngenga hasey, sawtute?!” a native screamed back (What have you done, sky demon?!). We could only look at them, not knowing what to say I squeezed my eyes shut as another rock came flying in my direction. I turned, hunching my back to protect Anuk’s small body as even sticks came flying.
“TÌFNU!” (Silence!) the Eytukan yelled as he hurried to the crowd, the people parting as they let their leader through. Seeing his daughter he let out a loud yell, a gut-wrenching sound as he looked upon his oldest daughter in Grace’s arms.
“Ngaytxoa. Ngaytxoa,” was all Grace could say. (I'm sorry) The Eytukan took his daughter from Grace’s arms, embraced his deceased daughter wailing.
“Ngaytxao, ngaytxao,” I repeated. It was all I could say too. I looked up to make eye contact with Eytukan, the only thing in my eyes was remorse and guilt, maybe a bit of anger too. A Na’Vi man took Anuk from my arms, even hissed at me too. We deserved it, I believed. We were human, we were demons. I accepted it with tears in my eyes. Only repeating the word ‘ngaytxao’ over and over again.
That day the Omatikaya clan banished us from the tribe. It would be the first time I stand foot in Hometree and the last. That day, my hatred for humanity lit like a flame.
When we returned to Hell’s Gate, I went straight to the Avatar Compound, shutting my eyes and disconnecting from my avatar. I got out of the cradle, feeling that same grief and remorse. It crushed me. My heart ached and I felt like throwing up. My cheeks were already wet from crying, somehow I felt the pain through the connection, it was strong.
“(Y/N) what's wrong?” Max asked, extremely concerned as I could only look up at him still lying in the cradle, “Why are you crying?”
With those four words I couldn't hold it in any more, only weeping as Max sat me up his arms wrapping around my shoulders. I was there for a while, the only thing I could do was cry. Even when Grace came to check up on me, she dismissed Max as she just held me. Tears pooling on her shirt, as she tried calming me, rocking my body back and forth. We sat in that position for nearly twenty minutes as I finally calmed down.
“Never again,” I mumbled into Grace’s shirt.
“What?”
“I'm never going in again,” I stated, shaking my head, “I can't.” Pushing Grace away, I removed myself from the cradle, vowing that I’d never return to my Avatar.
For the next few days, I focused on staying in the lab, trying to avoid the cradle room as much as possible. Heck I even avoided Grace, the only person who I really cared about, and I think who also cared about me. Only going back and forth from my bedroom that I rarely used, and was practically untouched until now. If I wasn't in my lab working on cures, I was working in my shared bedroom. I would only go into the canteen ten minutes after the science team’s breakfast, lunch and dinner time, hoping to avoid those in the Avatar Programme. Sometimes there were a few other people, sometimes it was just me, only a few food items under the heat lamps limiting what I ate. The shelf of drinks was also empty. It was a Friday evening, so most people were in the communal room playing cards and having drinks. Sitting down in the somewhat empty canteen, I prodded my food whilst writing an analysis report. Not noticing that the head of security walked into the room. His footsteps halted behind me. The man dropped a bottle of water in front of me startling my clueless self, he chuckled a little.
“Sorry to startle you miss,” he said as I turned to look at him, “I noticed you didn't have a drink.”
“Oh, thank you,” was all I could say to this intimidating man.
“May I?” he gestured to the empty seat next to me, I nodded. Pulling out the chair he sat facing me.
“Commander Miles Quaritch, Chief of Security,” he introduced himself with a smirk, as he extended his hand out.
“(Y/F/N)(Y/L/N), Medical researcher,” I shook his hand. My face completely neutral but slowly turning red. Either from nervousness or the fact I was being stared at by quite a handsome, but old man.
“Aren't you also part of the Avatar Programme?” he inquired. I paused for a moment, unsure if I should tell him or not.
“Uh…not any more,” I say, to which he raises his eyebrow.
“Oh. May I ask why?”
“Something happened,” I didn't want to explain, that memory was too painful, “I'm sorry sir, I have to go,” I stood up from my seat suddenly, the only thing in hand was my tablet. Commander Quaritch grabbed my wrist as I turned to leave, alarming me a bit. My head snapped to my wrist as he looked at me, his blue eyes piercing through my own eyeballs. He grabbed the bottle, placing it in my hand before letting go. Meekly thanking him I hurried off. Speeding down the many hallways back to my shared bedroom, I slammed the door open then shut. Scaring my roommate Ruth. She didn't say a word as I crawled into my bed, tucking myself under my cover and bringing it over my head. The tablet and water bottle are still in my hand.
“Ummmm. Are you good?” I could hear Ruth ask, muffled by the cover. I didn't respond as she asked again, finally she yanked the cover off revealing my red flustered face. I hissed out of reflex as Ruth took a step back, her arms up and slightly nervous. “Alright, alright. Dude, you’re such a cat. Fine, I won't say anything.”

Guide to Teyvat University!
This is a guide to the Modern AU of Genshin Impact so people don’t get confused and so I won’t forget. I’m posting a lot I know, writing is the way for me to get my mind of things and I don’t sleep much. Also note that the layout of the school is heavily based on my school, the different buildings and classes.
⚠️!THIS GUIDE WILL BE UPDATED WHENEVER GENSHIN IMPACT UPDATES TO! ⚠️
CHARACTER INFO
Let’s start off with the dead people. For example, Himmel Venti’s dead friend.
Himmel is Alive and well he just doesn’t go to Teyvat Uni cause he didn’t get excepted into the school. Though he does go to Celestial College that’s a few hours away from Teyvat.
Same goes for Tomo, didn’t get excepted into the school so he went to another. Both do visit their friends pretty often, Himmel visits more than Tomo. I would like to say that Tomo is the reason why Kazuha has an obsession with y/n. Can’t really say the same with Himmel as he thinks Y/n is also cute. Causing Venti and him to have some fights every now and then.
Baal (is that how you spell it?) is the mother of scaramouche, Kunikuzushi, Raiden and the other person. She works at Teyvat Uni as a history teacher.
I said scaramouche and Kunikuzushi. Now I hear you say ‘Bitch they’re the same person.’ Not in my AU they’re not! Scaramouche and Kunikuzushi are Identical twins with different personalities. Kuni is the youngest out of the two and also the most naive. Scaramouche is the rebel one and the oldest. Scaramouche is protective of Kuni but still has that same attitude. Wanderer is not a person in this AU
The unknown god is the principal of the school. Heavenly principals, you can not expect me to not make her the principal of Teyvat Uni. She’s the type of person who doesn’t leave her office unless it’s time to go home. Not many people know her or her name so around school they call her ‘Unknown Principal’
Onto the kids of the game! The kids such as Klee, QiQi, YaoYao, and Sayu. They all go to Tevyat daycare that’s across of the university.
Klee is Albedos sister, QiQi is Hu Tao’s sister, YaoYao is Al-Haitham’s adoptive sister, Sayu is the Kamisato siblings adoptive sister. Paimon is the twins adoptive sister. Yeah a lot of Adoptions but I wanna give the kids a brother/sister. Also can’t forget the cat child that i totally didn’t forget the name. I don’t know who should be her sister/brother. I wanna make it Keaya and Diluc and have her not like them. I don’t know honestly.
The fatui, they are like the teachers. Except Scaramouche and Childe cause I say so. Dottore is the science teacher who people either love or hate no in between. Dottore also is the Teacher of Medical Science class. It’s a class where all they learn are medical stuff and stuff……I don’t want to say what they do since I’m traumatized by it. Pantalone is the Business and Management teacher (I have on in my school so imma add it). Sandrone is the art teacher, Columbina is the Drama teacher. That’s all I can think of right now.
SCHOOL LAYOUT
Different nations are just different buildings of the college. Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru are the ones that are already built with the Fontaine building being built. The one big building is the actual school where they go to class.
There’s a whole other building that’s just the lunch room and the library. The library is on the second floor of the building. Even though there’s small library’s in each dorm it’s more of a study area than a library.
Once again there’s another building for the theater and a small cafe in the same building.
It’s a huge school what do you expect?
OTHER INFO
Of course this is a yandere blog so things are gonna be yandere.
Why am I doing this? I may or may not make a full fanfic that’s in the modern AU and wanted to clear stuff up before I do. Also because I will Do more modern AU stuff.
Request are open until I say so

France POV:
‘That’s odd. . . ___ should be here by now. . . I know he hates school, and most of the time he skips classes- but he always shows up nonetheless. . . so where is he? Maybe he's just late or sick-‘
“Hallo! Earth to flirt? Are you there?” Gil interrupted waving his hand in front of my face pulling me from my thoughts “uh- Oui? Sorry I must've gotten lost in thought” I smiled in response as Toni began to speak
“Mhm, sure anyway have you seen N/N?” My smile dropped as I looked at him “You haven't seen him either?” 'Toni looks so worried. . . God I hate seeing him like this' “No?. . . Not since last night-” ‘I can hear the fear in his voice. . . poor Tonio’ I looked at Gil he had this odd look on his face, it was like a mix of fear, worry and realisation.
“Hold on- didn't you say you could hear him and Lovino fighting last night?” My face dropped as I looked at Spain, he had the same look on his face as Gil now ‘. . .this isn't good'
———————————————————————
Your POV
“What happened to you three?” I asked walking over to the chaos trio
“___! Me asustaste! No vuelvas a desaparecer así de mí otra vez!” Spain yelled hugging me “We were all so worried! Even Gilbird!” Prussia explained as Gilbird flew over sitting on my head “uh- yeah I can tell-“
‘what in all 50 shades of fuck did miss???' “You seem confused Cher” Francis pointed out with a sigh as Spain let go of me stepping back “Well I don't exactly know what's happening-“ I responded looking at them all “well- you were later than normal, and no-one had seen you since your fight with Lovino”
Spain explained as I stared at him with pure confusion “. . . Moving on! Where did you go?”
“My bed, because I slept in” I deadpanned “I told you you should-“ Thankfully Spain was cut off by the bell ‘Thank you god for saving me from being lectured by my big brother' “Any of you have science first?” France could barely finish his sentence before Prussia responded “Hah! As if!”
Spain chuckled “I almost feel sorry for you. Anyway! Have fun, me and N/N have English, so we'll see you at break” Spain stated practically pulling me away “lucky bitch” “Bis später~” They responded walking away as Spain turned to me
“So as I was saying” ‘Please don't lecture me- Please don't lecture me- Please don't lecture me' “You really should set an alarm-“
“My body is my alarm, anyway, Isn't Germany in this class with us?” I asked changing the topic “Uhh Yeah I think so. . . and his brother- the Uhh piano guy” Spain laughed “You mean Roderich?” "I think that's his name”
We continued walking while talking about the youngest two German brothers “To be honest, I think Roderich is intimidating” I went to respond but someone beat me to it “My apologies” We both turned around to see a familiar face “I don't mean to be intimidating” I turned back around rushing to class, leaving my brother to deal with that issue on his own.
-Timeskip bought to you by Italians falling out of trees™️-
I sat down in my seat hearing a voice beside me “I hope you didn't miss me too much~” I looked sideways recognizing the accent “You were gone for an hour. I'm not that desperate” I responded rolling my eyes “yet you message me saying the opposite” France joked “Oi Frog! stop teasing him” I looked over at England “Why thank you kind sir” “But of course” He responded with a smirk.
I looked forwards seeing the teacher walk into the room ‘Welp this is it, hell has officially started'
———————————————————————
After Class / Third Person POV
“Ughh thank god it's finally over” “English is a confusing language” you nodded in agreement with your brother “I'm sure it's not half as confusing as Spanish” you heard England argue from behind you “Not for us!”
“Toni- in his defense we have no right to say that just like he has no right to say English is easier because it's our first language, it would be easier to us just like English is easier to him” England let out a small hum “I suppose you're right” you gave him a smug smile “Obviously I'm right when aren't I?”
Toni chuckled “Oh shut it” England responded rolling his eyes “Be nice black sheep” you heard a familiar French accent say “welp I'm out” Toni stated walking away “I'm going with you” England scoffed following Toni up the stairs towards the Maths rooms “I guess it's just me and you Frenchie” you sighed " . . why must you call me that?” Francis responded “Because I like Greece” you laughed “Fair enough. . . Uhm Cher I have to ask you something" “wassup?” you asked almost immediately “Umm well I wanted to ask if you could meet me at the gates after school” He said looking away
“So just the normal?” “Sort of- I mean just the two of us” He answered looking at me “Ok sounds easy enough” you shrugged still not turning to look at him “So- you have Geography next right?” He asked looking forward “Nope you know we only have one lesson together on Wednesday's” you responded looking at him with a smile
“Oui and what a sad thing that is” you rolled your eyes “Just go to class Frenchie I'II see you after school” “Huh? but what about lunch?” he asked “Lunchtime Isolation and before
you ask the isolation is for cussing a teacher out to her face in Spanish” France looked at you confused “How did you get in trouble for that?” “She was my Spanish teacher”
He chuckled “you really don't know how to stay out of trouble do you?” Gaining a laugh from you “Nope but that's why I bring extra clothes with me every day” He looked at you with pure confusion “I get changed in the bathrooms then I go walk around town for classes I know I’ll get in trouble in or can't be bothered to go to that's why I got detention
yesterday” “Oh- that's actually a decent reason to carry extra clothes” you let out a hum in agreement “they don't normally care as long as I go to at least one lesson and do my detentions and iso's” you laughed “Anyway I'II see you around” he nodded walking into his class as you headed off to go get changed.
That's all for part 1 because I have a love hate relationship with cliff hangers so here also, I will do the requests before a part 2 and as you can tell it takes me ages to write these so have fun waiting.
Translations:
Me asustaste! No vuelvas a desaparecer así de mí otra vez! = You scared me! Don't you ever disappear like that on me again!
Cher = Dear
bis später = See ya later
Oui = Yes

Unexpected joy- Colette Marchant
Context: set after the movie, Colette and Holt have been together for a year and during one of Colette’s training practices she doesn’t feel quite right. After almost a week of sickness Colette realises she’s pregnant. How will Holt and the children take it.
A/N: This was really good fun to write, I loved Colette and there just isn’t enough stories of her out there so I’m adding to them. Plus I love writing Eva’s characters pregnant.
Warning(s): Morning Sickness
Things had been good since the collapse of Dreamland. Actually they’d been better than good, especially for Colette who finally felt at home within the Medici circus.
She was happy more so than she’d ever been in her life and she’d somewhere, during it all, had found love. Her and Holt had been together for almost a year now and she’s never felt more respected or loved in her life.
At first she had worried that she wouldn’t fit, it wasn’t to do with how different the circus was or the people who occupied it. If anything it was only to do with the two of its youngest members, Milly and Joe.
Initially she was frightened that they wouldn’t like her, especially not when she started dating their father but thankfully, Colette was quickly proven wrong as both children seemed to adore her.
Joe loved spending time with her whilst she practiced different tricks and after a week of begging Colette finally caved in and taught Joe some of the basics.
Time with Milly was the complete opposite but Colette loved it just as much. Milly enjoyed teaching Colette all there was to know about science and in return Colette would curl up with the little girl and tell her some of her grand stories.
It was another sunny day like all the rest this summer and Colette had decided to get up early to do some aerial practice for Medici’s next big idea.
She’d started with the basic warm up so her body wouldn’t ache afterwards and then she moved on to the bar and once she was on it, she’d entered her own little world where time seemed to slip away from her.
Two hours had passed when Colette had finally decided that she deserved a break for the morning.
After getting herself down and tidying up a little bit she went to grab some water. Yet she wasn’t even two sips down when it all started coming back up, her stomach quite avidly refusing the liquid and then deciding it would bring up some, actually no all of last nights dinner.
This was strange, Colette thought to herself. She very rarely got sick and she hadn’t actually frown up in at least a year. It was definitely odd and the French aerialist struggled to come up with an explanation.
At first Colette had shrugged it off as a one time thing but when it happened again the next day and then again the day after, she knew something was definitely wrong, she just couldn’t place it.
Her diet hadn’t changed, her routine hadn’t either and she wasn’t stressed, at least she didn’t think she was but this sickness was making her question otherwise.
There wasn’t many explanations for her constant sickness and when sudden fatigue was added onto the list, it seemed the chances for a diagnosis were getting smaller and smaller.
Then one morning when she was sat outside instead of practicing, because she just didn’t have the energy or strength for it, something suddenly dawned on her.
She could be pregnant but when her mind had come up with that she couldn’t help but laugh. Her, pregnant, that seemed ludicrous. Yet when she thought about it more, it did seem to make some sense.
Then her stomach twisted and a sinking feeling absorbed her. If she was she’d have to tell Holt and the kids and then she became scared. What if he wasn’t happy? What if he didn’t love her enough to have a child with her and what if the children hated her for it and saw it as the final step for her replacing their mother.
Now what was meant to be a happy and exciting realisation was turning into something frightful and now she couldn’t tell if it was the morning sickness or the fear, that wanted to make her empty her entire organs on the floor.
Colette had sat and thought about how she was going to tell Holt for what felt like hours, until eventually she just decided that she would just tell him up front and simply, and hope for the best.
“Come on Mon Petite, let’s go tell Daddy,” she whispered with a hand hovering over her stomach. It was now or never, she knew Holt would be alone for the next half an hour, whilst Joe and Milly went to go and play with Dumbo.
Walking up to their shared tent, which was more of a home than she’d ever had, she saw him sorting some stuff on one of the cabinets.
He seemed to be confused about something, she noticed as he was scratching is head and looking round in circles for something and she couldn’t help but giggle at his little show of confusion.
Having heard Colette’s laugh Holt quickly turned around, nearly knocking his head on a light, making Colette laugh even more.
“Oh, hey Princess where’ve you been hiding today?” He asked her as soon as he spotted her standing at the entrance, her white shawl wrapped around her shoulders.
“Oh I’ve just been sitting outside, is everything alright mon cherie?” She then questioned him as he continued to try and find something that he’d presumably lost.
“Yeah I just can’t seem to find my hat,” he explained to her and now she couldn’t hold back the burst of laughter that had been threatening to spill from her.
“What, the one on your head,” she spoke between bits of laughter and then pointed to the item atop his head with her index finger and Holt reached up to grab the item and quickly his face turned an embarrassed red.
“Oh yeah, that would be the one,” he spoke with the embarrassment still apparent even in his voice and Colette loved him all the more for his silliness.
“Did you need me at all?” He then asked her as he set about to close all of the draws and cupboards he’d opened in search for his hat.
“Yes actually,” Colette said, her voice quieter then usual and suddenly the nervous feeling had returned to her and all she wanted to do was make up a story and leave.
“Well what is it?” Holt asked her kindly once he’d finished returning everything to a normal manner, making sure to give her his full attention.
“I… I think um,” Colette hugged herself when she began to stutter, having to wrap her arms around herself to keep her body from shaking and in a sudden burst of twisted confidence, Colette just blurted it out, “I think I might be pregnant.”
It had been said, it was now out in the world and she couldn’t take it back. Now all she had to do was wait for Holt’s reaction and hope it was nothing like what she feared.
“Are you sure?” Holt finally asked after a silence that felt five minutes long, his expression was almost unreadable and that made Colette gave a panicked nod.
“Well that’s incredible,” his voice was shocked but the smile that broke out across his face was telling enough and then tears began to well up in his eyes and quickly he was over by Colette gently picking her up and twirling her around.
“I can’t believe it,” he spoke breathlessly, placing Colette back on the ground and holding one of his hands against her left cheek and the other gently caressing her stomach.
“Princess I think you’ve just made me the happiest man in the world.” And then Colette’s own tears of joy were slipping from her blue eyes and she was quickly consumed with happiness.
“Wait a baby!” A new voice shouted out across the tent and there standing at the entrance was Medici, his face so hysterically shocked and happy.
“What was that,” a younger voice popped up and it was Milly standing with Joe next to her.
“Yes, we’re having a baby,” Colette said from her place at Holt’s side who was holding an arm around her waist.
“That’s amazing!” Both children shouted out breaking into a run and tackling Colette into the biggest hug ever and Colette was more then overjoyed to accept it, holding each incredibly close and tight.
“Congratulations mum,” Joe spoke out from inside the hug and suddenly Colette’s grip slackened a bit.
Then both children pulled away, Joe had a great grin on his face matching his father’s own and Colette was still kneeling down in shock.
“Yeah congratulation mama,” Milly then said smiling sweetly and reaching towards Colette for yet another hug, “you’re going to be an amazing mother, just like you are with us.” She whispered into Colette’s ear.
It was Milly’s words, admissions and acceptance that had Colette crying tears of joy and soon she felt completely whole and more at home than ever.
This baby was truly a miracle worker.

Story time
So I have two older half brothers. The oldest, J, lived with our side of the family for most of my early childhood and the other, K, lived with their mom but would visit on holidays.
When K would visit, he loved to prank my sister and I, usually with a lot of fart jokes. He was a little boy so anything fart related was the absolute height of humor to him. I, being the youngest, was the most gullible and would fall for almost every joke/prank he made.
This resulted in an absolute hatred and disgust at the slightest mention of flatulence in my first ten years of life. It wasn’t until our dear beloved Bill Nye the Science Guy explained how natural that bodily function was that I got over it. But anyway, the point is that at the age of 8 I always became irrationally angry at any mention of the word ‘Fart’.
The boys who sat with me at my second grade desk group soon discovered this rage button and, of course, found my reactions hilarious. One day I got so annoyed I told them I was going to tell the teacher on them. They of course laughed because they knew that they weren’t breaking any real rules. Still, I hoped the teacher would see my distress and how gleefully the boys ignored it and would put a stop to them.
When I went to speak to our teacher, Mrs. N, I was very shy and didn’t know what to say. The problem was that I hated the word ‘fart’ so much that I could not even bring myself up say it. Especially to such a dignified lady as Mrs. N, who I thought was so cool and I remember always wore black or grey.
Finally, I uttered the words “The boys at my table are saying a gross word and they won’t stop.”
Now having her full attention, she calmly asked me what the word was in a hushed voice, but I just shook my head and told her I couldn’t say it in class. She nodded in understanding and asked the TA to look after the class as she took me out to the hallway. She told me that it was ok for me to tell her the word now since she’s asking for me to and no one else will hear. Still I refused to say the terrible word.
So she tried a new tactic, and started to ask me about the word,
She asked me what the word meant. I wrinkled my nose and shrugged my little shoulders in disgust, saying it was something really gross the people do with their bodies.
Startled, she asked how I knew this word. I told her how my older brother uses the word all the time when he visits for holidays.
She became a bit more serious and asked me how many letters were in the word. I told her that there were four letters but that I did not want to spell it.
After a pause, she asked me if I could at least tell her the first letter of the word.
“F”
At this final clue she seemed to understand exactly what I had told her. She put a hand on my shoulder and sincerely thanked me for bringing this matter to her attention. She promised she would talk to those boys and put a stop to their terrible behavior immediately.
I was delighted! I went back to my seat with my head held high, so proud and validated by my teachers reaction. Those boys were confused by my smug grin but their reactions quickly turned to fear when our teacher called for each of them to join her in the hall.
Unfortunately my memory of these events ends here. Those feelings of validation being the reason this memory had become cemented into my mind. For years, whenever I thought of a teacher who was on my side, who believed me and stood by me, I always thought of Mrs. N.
It wasn’t until I was about 20 that I finally realized what word my cool second grade teacher thought I had been trying to tell her. And at this realization, all I could say was:
“Fuck!”

Word of The Prey - Characters
This post will be an ongoing post as characters get introduced in Word of the Prey. The order in which the characters appear here will be the order in which they are introduced. I hope this makes sense :)
Y/N aka _____
Was turned at the age of 22 but has been 22 for 240 years.
She is considered to be a ripper; when she loses control, she will tear whomever she's attacking to shreds leaving very little evidence behind.
Like the rest of the boys in her house, they survive off of expiring blood bags from the hospital and animals in the area.
For her 10th visit to university, she has decided to come back to her roots and is a psychology major.
Yoongi was the first vampire she met, and he took her under his wing. Whether she liked it or not, they have been together Y/N's entire time being turned.
Y/N typically keeps to herself, with no lovers except for one that is thought to be killed in the war years ago.
Seokjin/Jin
Jin was turned at the age of 28 and has been that age for 127 years.
Y/N likes to say Jin was her first stray, as he was the first vampire that she took under her wing.
Jin was turned by a Glutton, making his appetite practically insatiable when first turned.
Thanks to Y/N herbal concoctions that reduce the thirst around humans, making immortal life tolerable for Jin.
Jin has been fascinated by watching technology explode throughout his lifetime, which led him to be a computer science major this time around at university.
Yoongi/Yoon
Yoongi is one of the oldest of the bunch at 1020 years old; he's been 27 for over a century.
Yoongi is considered to be a Creator, one of the original vampires that were turned by an evil sorcerer that cursed himself and his childhood best friend.
Even though it may appear that Yoongi hates people, he is very interested in their behaviours, hence revisiting sociology this time at uni.
Music has been a constant throughout Yoongi's long life; he's been amazed as music has changed throughout time.
Yoongi appears cold-hearted, but he cares for the ones around him, Y/N holds a very special spot in his unbeating heart.
Yoongi is the only person who's allowed to call Y/N Kid.
Hoseok/Hobi
Hobi is the second youngest in the house at the young age of 66, but will forever be 26.
Hobi is mixed with both Glutton and ripper tendencies, making him one of the most dangerous vampires.
Hobi has stayed in the same area for school as before he was turned; he was a doctor, and he's currently going through a residency for the hundredth time with a focus on pediatrics.
Unknowingly years before he was turned, he fought in the war alongside Yoongi, Jin, and Y/N. Y/N actually saved his life, using her healing powers to restore Hobi back to health.
Hobi is scared to love as the last person he let himself love met a tragic end by his own hands, and those images still haunt him to this day.
Likes to call Y/N Munchkin; she tolerates it.
Jungkook/JK
Jungkook, the youngest of the group, at only 25 years old but was turned when he was 23.
Jungkook has the characteristics of both a Sloth and a Ripper, making his sprees of killing quite dangerous.
JK has a similar origin to Y/N, both being pulled into a forest by the sounds of a baby crying.
JK is the newest to the group, as fate put both him and Y/N in the same course.
JK had just transferred to the same University as the rest of the group as he was accepted onto the volleyball team and was looking for more vampires as the last one abandoned him.
