If he’s using his powers, his eyes go grey (left) and amber (right), but that is rare. Two tattoos (one over his right shoulder and one on the left side of his chest right below his collarbone) and several ear piercings (around 8 in each ear). Most often, he’s wearing only one set of piercings. Has dimples when he smiles.

PERSONALITY: Through his struggles, he has learned adaptability. Adaptable refers to being able to adjust to new conditions. Jaehwa sees himself as very adaptable because he’s had to change so much. Something that he has inherited from his mother, his creativity and artistry has no limits. His creative spirit shines in everything he does and even the way his place looks. From the art that he drew gracing the walls, to the very layout of his apartment, it’s all a creative master plan and he knows how to execute it well. As a child, he was very loving and caring, always helping everyone. It transferred very nicely into his adult life. He worked hard but at the same time, he looked out for his elders and kids to make sure that everything for them was well off before tending to his own needs. He is very trustworthy and if you tell him a secret, he will keep it to the grave. However, he’s also very honest and doesn’t believe in holding information back. A bad side to his personality is his inability to contain his thoughts. He calls it being blunt and it does make him look very rude because he usually says exactly what he is thinking. Almost like he has no filter, he tends to say things as they come. He’s very immature and with the bluntness, he tends to act like a child. He’s almost like an elementary schooler with his pranks and constant need for attention. He tends to whine a bit when he doesn’t get his way. He’s very stuck on his ideas and thoughts and won’t ever budge, even if the other party has an actual decent argument.

HISTORY: Jaehwa was born in Seoul to Kim Chaewon and Choi Seokyung, in March of 1995. Or in the very least that was how he was raised to believe. Chaewon had spent hours in labour and finally when Jaehwa was born, she was so happy that they had a healthy baby boy. His father was ecstatic and Jaehwa had become the favorite in family almost right away. His grandmother and mother took care of him all the time and spoiled him massively. However, his grandfather treated him coldly. He had no idea why.

As a toddler, he had become very active, and he was running around the house and even around his father’s office. His grandfather disapproved of the child being in the office, since it was against the rules, but Jaehwa was still invited every day and everyday he came. His grandfather believed that nothing good would come of Jaehwa. Seokyung tried to claim that his son would be okay, but the elder would hear nothing of it.

Of course, Jaehwa was incredibly helpful, and he was always rescuing things from falling and getting injured. He always brought home birds who were injured, and he cared for them, and helped them heal. Such went his childhood. He began going to school and he was always helping the teachers, causing him to become class president in elementary school and keep that position for a while. Due to his intelligence as well, he was also in the top ranks of each class.

It did get him bullied a lot, because in other kids’ eyes, he was the teacher’s pet. But he was okay with being bullied because that meant that he was doing something right at school. He was a hero. He liked being a hero. His parents and grandmother had no idea that he was being bullied because he always had an excuse for all his bruises. That he fell down the stairs, or fell in gym class or simply tripped on a straight spot.

In his early teenage years, heading into junior high school, his mother told him why his grandfather disliked him so. It was because she had ended up sleeping with an Egyptian god a few months before she had been arranged to marry the Lee heir and the old man knew about it because the wedding had to be a shotgun. It had thrown Jaehwa for a loop, but then everything made sense the more he thought about it. She encouraged him to follow his passions of art and creativity, but Jaehwa wanted to gain the approval of the grandfather, so he decided to keep going with the studies.

Instead of going to an art school like he’d initially wanted, the young man went into university for medicine. Medicine and becoming a doctor had consumed him. It was all he could do to gain the approval. In his exhaustion, his Egyptian traits revealed themselves and that cemented that he wasn’t his father’s son. He ended up graduating with his medicine degree and after medical school, he had brought the papers to his grandfather, hoping to hear the acceptance.

But it wasn’t. His grandfather turned him away and his mother told him to go to Mount Phoenix where he could find his real father. His departure was quick, and the young doctor found himself at the island, eager to maybe find a home again.

He had found a home on Mount Phoenix, however, a situation back home had called him away for a prolonged period. In the time he’d been away, he lost his grandparents and with that, his shot at ever being approved by them. He had taken on the role of CEO of the family company, and his mother had arranged many an arranged marriage meeting. The young demigod wanted to run away again. This time, however, he would and couldn’t be stopped.
