The Mysterio Trio Rundown

Rebekah O'Lee, 29 (she/any)

The mutant showsman of the Mysterio operation and the one that came up with the concept itself. She is often the one that can be found under the mask when the grandest of their theatrics must be performed. She is the "official" leader of the trio (they will not agree on this, but she IS the one that rallied them together and calls most of the shots).

A failed actress, stage magician, artist, and more. Time after time, she'd failed in the entertainment industry and, due to the stigma towards mutant, it finally got to her. Finally, after everything that happened, she turned to the one industry she thought she could still break out in: Crime.

Her mutant ability gives her power over mirrors and reflections, allowing for a wide variety of abilities. Anything in the "mirror world" is hers to control, from creating reflection clones to using it to redirect attacks. Her only limits being her reaction time and the size of the reflective surface she's using at the time.

Because of this, however, she has to be careful. Rebekah is, of course, the only of the three to have this ability. Meaning that there are times when she'll have to drop everything and rush to the scene of a crime to become a second Mysterio "clone" in order to keep the ruse going.

Risera Futagami, 38 (she/her)

The actual criminal mastermind of the group. A well-established weapon and tech smuggler in the underworld who could get her hands on just about anything for the right price. A scoundrel that, while certainly a villain, is also more than willing to work for the "good guys" for the right price as well. A true wild card that is only known by those close to her.

She met Valentin first, who was coincidentally a close friend of Rebekah from childhood. He was her go-to for custom orders of tech or to appraise the worth of unknown weapons/weapons so she could sell-off the hot product unless it was of sufficient intrigue.

This mutually beneficial relationship was what led her to then meet a down on her luck Rebekah, and what began their combined path of becoming Mysterio.

The brains of this operation when it comes to the criminal aspect of planning their crimes, the heists, the "hits", and the risk-taking analysis.

Valentín Leblanc, 28 (he/it)

The tech head of the trio and the one that actually crafted the Mysterio suits they use. A natural-born whizz with hardware, he was ahead of any of his classes by far. If he were born into a wealthy family, there's a chance that he might have excelled and become a famous inventor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Born into poverty, he had to use his intellect to make ends meet for his family. Having met Rebekah in school, the girl latched onto him for some inexplicable reason and they've become inseparable ever since.

His criminal activities and knowledge of tech made him a good person to go to if you had advanced hardware you needed assessed, alien or otherwise. His pawn shop doubling as a front for his repairs and workshop whilst still leaving him making some legitimate cash.

His criminal side leaving him to meeting Risera and forming an informal partnership with her that turned more official when Rebekah became fed-up with failing.

Now, he's the creator of high-tech weaponry, suits, and gadgets that allow the Supervillain known as Mysterio to rise into some form of limelight.

A trio that, separately, would have the entire scheme fall apart, but together making a terrifying superpower in their own right.
