Tonight, I’m finally #goinghome after what was supposed to be a month turned into seven in #Brazil. It’s amazing how it can both seem that I left Carmel yesterday, and that it has been an eternity at the same time. After all, I came here a company owner, who happened to have some land inside a forest once devastated almost to the ground (Brazil only has 12% of the Atlantic Forest left, a forest once as big as the whole country of Peru) and refused to sell that land as lots for fear of the certain devastation that would come with my untouched enchanted forest, so desperately wanted to find smtg to do with that land without touching one tree of it, and leave not only as an official #agroforestfarm owner, but also as a true #farmeratheart, smtg I never EVER thought could ever happen to me. I always had there in the back of my chef mind, a dream of owning an organic farm one day and being able to grow my own plastic and shit free ingredients. But I always thought someone else would run it, if it ever happened at all. Little did I know I would simple fall irreversibly in love with the concept of growing food INSIDE the forest, without destroying any of it, on the contrary expanding it. Plus, I’ve decided to make a real seed bank, and save all heirloom seeds of endangered rare species from our forest for generations to come. It was clear right on the first experiences of delegating that this would need to be grabbed by the horns and steered ONLY by me if I ever wanted to see it succeed. So I did and now leave behind a new (ad)venture, my @agroflorestavidaforte, my #agroforest #farm inside the #atlanticforest, and in it my #animals, my #team, my #dreams, #hopes (and funds 😝 lol) And with me I will bring the immense challenge of administering it all from afar by cyber joystick 🕹, and making sure I am as present as can be even from the other side of the world. I count on #technology, #determination and #passion, both mine and of an incredible team to make it work.
