First look at My Mother’s Eyes

A new trailer has been released for My Mother’s Eyes. No release date was specified.

Both Hitomi and her daughter Eri are cellists. One day, they are involved in a traffic accident and Hitomi loses her sight. She wears camera-equipped contact lenses and Eri, injured and hospitalized, wears VR goggles, and the two share one vision.

Ahhh, I don't know where to start! This was a first for me by this author, and I enjoyed it! 😊 Writing is hard, and managing to capture such strong emotions in a short story is no small feat! My Mothers Eyes is told through the POV of a teenage son whose mother is in a coma after an attempted suicide.  Jordie was an overthinker, and I understood his constant contradiction with his innermost thoughts: how he's dealing with his moms' comatose state and how his family (elder brother and dad) are handling it in their way. The story explores grief, regret, loss, love, and yearning. I just love when hard, raw emotions are captured in simple words! The moment between Jordie and his elder jock brother Brian was 💯 To summarize, My Mothers Eyes is about familial bonds, grief, how life cruelly goes on, and how details of loved ones eventually slip. 💔 Totally recommend.
