Starting the story of my double life

So I’m going to start a new series within my blog. Although its not like I write in my blog often anyway. 

But this series is something that’s really close to me. That’s because its going to be about me. 

I’ve never really been comfortable talking about myself. Self doubt has plagued me for as long as I can remember. 

But I guess its time to start to put to pen what’s gone on and is going on in my head.

So yea.

This is my story. The story of me. The story of my double life.

Beginnings

The main character of this story is of course me. So to start off with, lets get to know this character. 10 things about him sounds easy, simple, and cliche.

So, a list of 10 things about myself

1. Born in the United States of America on December 25, 1994. So yes I am American 2. I first lived in a small town in rural Ohio called Findlay, moved to El Paso, Texas, right on the border of Mexico, then Hiroshima, Japan, where I spent high school 3. I’m currently studying at a Liberal Arts College in Japan.  4. Both of my parents are Japanese. So, yes, I’m also Japanese 5. I love playing soccer. I suck at it. But I still love it. 6. I love to sleep. The best place to sleep is on grass on a nice spring day with a pleasant breeze flowing and a deep blue sky with a couple of cotton candy clouds floating above me. 7. I love books. Give me a book and I will read it until I’m done with it. I won’t eat, drink, sleep until I finish it. One of the great addictions of my life. 8. I love food. The other great addiction of my life. Of course I love to eat. I also love to cook. Eating and cooking provides a different perspective on a lot of things.  9. I want to travel around the world. But I need a lot more money, and a bit more courage to do that. 10. The last one always seems to be the hardest. But the best thing for me to say right now is I’ve always struggled to various degrees on who I am. What everyone would call a identity crisis. But really its not that simple. And its not always bad, but most definitely its not always good. I guess this is what always come with being multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, multi-racial, whatever.   That’s the list. 10 things. Really is way too short. We’ll be getting to know this guy more and more. A few things that didn’t fit here. This character is insecure and afraid about what life has coming for him. But he’s also innocent, curious, and likes to have a good laugh. At the same time he is in a moment of self’doubt, he’ll be laughing and having a good time with his friends. 

Let’s just say he is weird in a really good way. Then again. I think weird is the best compliment in the world.
