JUST ONE DANCE, YOUR HIGHNESS!
hsr royalty au! ft. aventurine sunday mydei & anaxa! | fem!princess!reader.
cw for ooc anaxa </3 I'm still figuring him out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AVENTURINE... as the frail boy you remember being dragged off to your father's dungeon when you were both young, you remember seeing him in his dingy cell each time you took a trip downstairs. By some unknown method, he's recently reappeared in fancier attire, adorned with the finest of jewellery and more importantly — he's somehow grabbed a seat on your father's counsel. The thin teenager dressed in rags you remember from your childhood now stands before you with a confident grin. He never told you what his name was before, but he's now changed it to *Aventurine. *He spends his leisure time at the tavern, although he seldom indulges in the drinks and opts to sit at the blackjack table instead, violet eyes drifting away from his cards hoping for a glimpse of the princess who spared him a glance all those years ago.
SUNDAY... as the prodigal son of the aristocracy in your homeland. You don't think you've ever caught him with a single hair strand out of place, or even slouching on his chair. Everything he does, he does with grace. Your father insists that you'll marry him if you're unable to find a royal suitor. He's been with you since your childhood, tying your shoelaces, kissing your hands, swearing that he'll never leave. Never. You realise quickly that all those sweet promises will never be fulfilled when he runs for the hills one fine day, words of his treason litter the streets, words of how he's forsaken his lord, his home, his family, his beloved. The knights run amok looking for him, black and white posters of him with a red stamp on every town wall. But just when you start to believe the heretics, you hear a polite tap on your window. To your own surprise, there he is. Your precious Sunny, out of breath from climbing the castle wall with his wings fanning to cool him down. His pristine outfit has been discarded and replaced with something far more casual. A gloved hand caresses your cheek with utmost care, and you realise he never broke his promise after all.
MYDEIMOS... as the fearsome heir of a far away kingdom, who meets every criteria to inherit the throne... except having a bride. None of the maidens in the entire land had any interest in taking his hand, his kingdom fell to anarchy soon after he took his father's head, and to put it quite frankly... he's not the most approachable of the bunch. However, for some unknown reason, your father thinks he's a lovely young man who just happens to be the perfect match for you. The two of you don't hit it off, and now your arrangement seems more like a chore than anything. One starlit night you stroll the gardens, only to find him huffing on a bench and staring at the moon like it's personally offended him. You take a seat next to him, your hand slowly slides to embrace his own. He's hardly wearing anything himself, although his cape has made its way around your shoulder to protect you from the nip in the air. He's not so bad, you suppose.
ANAXAGORAS... as the mad philosopher of the court. You don't know how or why your father tolerates him, he seems to have an issue with every little thing everybody does. He's always picking up on the tiniest flaw — you've witnessed the man find a singular speck of dirt on Sunday of all people. The most irritating person you've ever had the displeasure of meeting, point blank. Yet, he always makes sure to fix your clothes for you, brush off any dust, realign your tiara, rather than only pointing it out. He still does it with so much annoyance that you can't tell if he really cares or not. You suppose you'll never find out, and he's just grateful you don't see the small smile on his face every time he pisses you off.

His torso was bare before you as he slumped on the edge of the bed, a sigh heavier than the world leaving his lips while he took a moment to simply linger on the border of the waking world and going to sleep next to you. Mydei always took some time to relish in the quiet, such a stark contrast to all the screams he had borne, the battle cries, the trumpeting of the horn and the clash of weapons. It was a distant memory, still looming in his shadow, but a memory all the same.Instead, they had taken on a strange, familiar quality, as if they were old companions who had returned for a visit - it helped him remember, why he was here, who he was doing all of this for.
Your arms were suddenly snaking their way underneath his arms, hands sliding up his chest while you pressed yourself against his back, your skin warm and soft from the bed. You do not speak, but he senses your thoughts and grasps one of the hands that are at his chest, giving it a small squeeze.
“Come to bed, lay down..” you whisper, nosing at his shoulder for his warm scent. It was too late and both of you were too tired to speak in too lengthy words; you did not intend to question him either, he already knew what you meant to ask, and he’d answer when the time was better.  Mydei did not like to be pushed for a response.
He picked up the hand he was holding and kissed the inside of it, his throat vibrating with a low hum. Feeling just a little daring through your sleepy muscles you curled your fingers as if to grab his face, it made him huff a laugh while he grasped your wrist to pull your grabbing hand back.
“Always so eager to have me close, aren’t you? You’re lucky I don’t mind..” he told you as he turned to the side, head turning as well so he could take a look at you. You loosened your hold but did not let go, smiling up at him as you found his gaze.
“I would have hoped you’d say it is because you love me instead, or do you let anyone be melting up to you for attention?”You leaned into his shoulder with a contented sigh, your words playful but your affection clear. Yet he huffed all the same as if your words were meant to slight him. Suddenly you found yourself sliding into his lap as he hooked an arm around you and brought you in front of him, sitting sideways on his lap, the bed sheet trailing behind you and falling off your legs.
“I’d say it’s because I love you, but you are asking for trouble with comments like that” You tilted your head and gave a little playful sneer, arms already having found their purchase around his neck.
“Trouble..” you scoff but lean into him. “As if..”
“As if I’d let just any person ‘melt into’ me. You are the only one that can” he finished off for you, his fingers tracing up and down your spine, his smirk growing watching you shudder.
You hummed and leaned in, ducking out of sigh and resting your forehead on his shoulders. Mydeimos held you, his head resting against yours in a silent moment of mutual comfort.
Your lips found the red mark running over his shoulder, kissing it tenderly. The light of the room was enough to allow you to see them, dark red lines painted on a long time ago. You heard him sigh softly as you kissed another spot, another red trail.
His arms fell around your waist, your kisses melting the tension of his body away until he began to crave to lay down more than to remain sitting. As you were about to grace his skin with another kiss, his hold on you tightened and he let himself fall back onto the bed, pulling you down along with him.
Your hair fell before your eyes and you puffed, trying to get it from your eyes as you squirmed to find comfort in the new position. Mydei’s hand extended forth and moved your hair aside, tucking it behind your ear, and as your eyes were revealed to him once more he held your gaze. Wordlessly. His eyes, soft pools of molten gold carried the image of you like a treasured memory.
Holding his gaze you dipped down again and kissed the pointed mark on his chest, chuckling softly when you heard his breath hitch. You continued with your languid kiss shower across his skin, trailing up and down before Mydei had too much and hugged you onto him, bringing an end to your affections for tonight.
His hand found the forgotten bed sheets and pulled them over you. He kissed the top of your head and sank his head into the pillows, but you wouldn’t be yourself if you didn’t land a good night kiss to the mark running over his shoulders once more, knowing he was growing red in the face.

‧₊ ˚ ⊹ ࣭ ⭑ . ₊ ⊹ .₊๋
truly, it was never tribbie's intention to get you two to admit your feelings like this!
mydei x fem. reader 2.7k words
cw: chrysos heir fem. reader, mydei being soft, confessions, tribbie playing matchmaker, fluff :) girl dad mydei supremacy, not proofread whoops
‧₊ ˚ ⊹ ࣭ ⭑ . ₊ ⊹ .₊๋
mydei and tribbie stared at you expectantly. tribbie's eyes full of childhood expectancy and innocence. whereas mydei's naturally looked fierce and piercing.
"we must go lady [name], we can't live with the regret of not snatching this deal!"
you were previously doing research on the skies above, trying to find out more about the nameless from above per agalea's request when suddenly tribbie and mydeimos appeared, raving about a deal a favorited reasturant around okhema currently has.
'THREE GUESTS, FREE ALL YOU CAN EAT!' said the flyer tribbie held up to your face. and of course, in very fine print in the corner of the page read, 'with the purchase of our famed wine starting at-' yeah, it was better off not reading the price for your own sanity.
"ah but tribbie, i don't really have the time to-- s-stop with the puppy eyes!" you quickly diverted your gaze to mydei, who naturally looked unbothered by the ordeal. "gods, how did she manage to rope you into this too?"
mydei crossed his arms, "there was no need for persuasion when the opportunity to taste new foods is presented." he had a pleased expression, as if already imagining the endless amount of food he could eat.
"ah, makes sense, i'm sure it takes a lot of calories to maintain all your muscle?" you felt comforted at how relaxed he seemed, it was rare to see such a display. though, his calm demeanor shifted at your words, a faint pink hue taking over. "l-lady [name], it is mandatory to maintain such a build as a kremnoan."
you couldn't help but smile at his flustered reaction, the sharp contrast to his usual confident demeanor amusing. "i see, so it’s part of the job, huh?" you teased lightly,
mydei quickly composed himself, though the pink tint didn't quite fade. "indeed, it is a cultural necessity," he said with a slight tilt of his head, his usual confident posture returning, but there was a hint of something shy in his eyes now. "the kremnoans believe that strength is not just a physical attribute but a reflection of our spirit and endurance."
you couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of admiration for his pride in his culture, his heritage. "that’s... really admirable, mydei," you murmured, genuinely impressed. mydei let out a confident thank you as your attention went back to tribbie, who seemed to be giggling to herself.
"what about trianne and trinnon? that's three of you there, why bring us into it?"
tribbie's giggles stopped immediately, as if she wasn't prepared for this question. "w-well uh, we.. we needed an adult to enter! yeah, i'll bring back plenty of leftovers for trianne and trinnon." tribbie sent you an award winning smile.
you raised an eyebrow, not entirely convinced by tribbie's explanation. "an adult, huh?" you said, crossing your arms. "and you just happened to think of us as the 'adults' in this scenario?"
tribbie's smile wavered slightly, but she quickly regained her composure, nodding enthusiastically. "yep! absolutely! you're, uh, very mature and responsible, after all." she added with a wink, clearly trying to steer the conversation away from the awkwardness.
you couldn't help but chuckle at her attempt. "mm, sure, we’ll go with that. but don’t think we’ve forgotten about trianne and trinnon. you'd better keep your promise."
her grin returned with your subtle agreement to accompany them. "of course! i'll make sure they get the best of it. you'll see!"
the three of you began to embark on the short walk to the infamous restaurant when suddenly, tribbie stopped. "such a beautiful day on okhema," tribbie said honestly, which you agreed with. "yeah, the air feels extra refreshing today." mydei nodded in agreement.
tribbie smiled, "i could close my eyes and let the wind guide me!" she said as she closed her eyes. mydei tsked, "if you're gonna close your eyes and walk, at least hold onto one of us."
mydei parent mode: activated.
tribble giggled, "you're very right, de. me and trianne hold trinnon's hands whenever she's feeling shy, that way she knows we're here for her!"
you smiled at her cuteness, having witnessed the three of them skipping hand in hand through okhema once.
"in fact, you and [name] should hold hands!" mydei's eyes widened at her words.
mydei's cheeks flushed, a deep pink quickly spreading across his face. "w-what?" he stammered, clearly caught off guard by tribbie’s suggestion.
you couldn’t help but chuckle at his reaction, the sudden shift in his usual composed demeanor amusing. "hold hands, huh?" you said, teasing him lightly. "that’s an interesting idea."
tribbie, always one to push things further, grinned from ear to ear. "oh, come on, you two! it's just a little hand-holding!" she said, her excitement uncontainable.
mydei cleared his throat, his eyes darting between you and tribbie, looking more than a little uncomfortable. "i... i don’t think that’s necessary," he mumbled, though the slight awkwardness in his voice made it clear he wasn’t entirely opposed to the idea.
you noticed the little flush in his cheeks and decided to make it a little more fun. "well, mydei, it’s not a bad idea. it could be... comforting, right?"
tribbie bounced up and down, clearly enjoying the playful tension. "exactly! see, it's just like how trianne and trinnon always hold my hands! nothing to be shy about!"
mydei sighed, clearly resigned to the playful teasing, but his gaze softened when he glanced at you. "i suppose... i could... hold your hand for a moment, if you insist."
mydei offered a polite hand to you, one you gently took. tribbie happily made her way to your other side, taking ahold of your other hand.
with your hands now occupied, you couldn’t help but smile at the unexpected warmth of the situation. tribbie hummed happily, swinging your arm gently as the three of you continued down the path toward the restaurant. mydei, though still looking a bit stiff, seemed to relax slightly, his fingers lightly brushing against yours.
"see? nothing to it," tribbie chirped, clearly pleased with herself for orchestrating this moment. she glanced up at mydei, her grin widening. "feels good, doesn’t it? to be connected like this?"
mydei glanced at the ground for a moment, his face still flushed, but after a brief pause, he gave a small nod. "i suppose it does... in a way," he admitted, his voice softening. "it’s... not so bad."
you squeezed his hand gently, offering a reassuring smile. "i’m glad to hear that," you said warmly.
tribbie giggled, looking between you both with delight. "see, i told you it would be fun! you two are the best!"
the gentle breeze rustled through the trees above, the atmosphere feeling lighter with the shared connection between the three of you. mydei’s earlier unease slowly melted away as he began to fall into the rhythm of the moment, his grip on your hand becoming a little more comfortable. you could almost feel the unspoken bond strengthening, even in the simplest of gestures.
soon enough, the restaurant came into view.
and the first thing that greeted you was well...
trianne?
"um trianne? why-"
"WELCOME esteemed guests," trianne was quick to cut you off, fixing her bowtie and faux mustache. "trianne's name is uh," she paused for a second, silently looking at tribbie as they seemed to have a quick telepathic exchange, "trixie! and trixie will be your server."
you glaced around at the completely vacant restaurant and then to mydei, who looked completely unimpressed.
you blinked, unsure whether to laugh or be concerned. the sight of trianne, dressed in a bowtie and sporting a poorly attached faux mustache, was... certainly unexpected. it was hard to take her seriously, especially with the way she was trying so hard to sound official.
"trixie, huh?" you repeated, raising an eyebrow. "that’s quite a transformation. i don’t think i’ve seen a more... professional server before."
trianne—no, trixie—straightened her back, putting on her best exaggerated smile. "ah, yes, trixie at your service!" she said, adopting an overly dramatic tone that only made the situation even more ridiculous. "what can trixie get for you today, esteemed guests? something spectacular perhaps?" she added, gesturing to the empty restaurant with grand flair.
you glanced around at the vacant tables, your confusion growing. "uh, i don’t see anyone else here... are we the only customers today?"
mydei let out a long sigh, clearly unimpressed. "seems like it... but i'm not sure if this is quite what i expected from a well-known establishment," he muttered under his breath, folding his arms. "though, it is rather joyous to see them having fun like this."
you agreed with him, "might as well entertain them!"
"follow me right this way, tribbie, de, and [nickname]!" you let out a giggle and silently followed after the young girl. mydei just now letting go of your hand to pull out your chair for you, tribbie not far behind.
you cleared your throat ,"is there a menu-"
"NO! we uh, are very limited so chef trinnon's specialty will be served!"
as if on cue, the sound of loud crashing and a soft yelp was heard from the kitchen.
you blinked, your concern growing as the crash echoed through the restaurant. tribbie, looking almost too relaxed, simply leaned over and whispered, "it’s fine, they do this all the time."
mydei didn’t seem as convinced. he was already halfway to the kitchen, his face set with a mixture of concern and curiosity. you, not wanting to be left out, quickly followed behind him, tribbie trailing casually.
as you reached the kitchen entrance, you could see trinnon—covered in flour and surrounded by shattered plates. "o-oh sorry," trinnon said softly. she looked around sheepishly. distracted by the eyes on her, she forgot to turn off the stove and the boiling water began to overflow.
"oh no," trinnon said softly and was about to get up to turn off the stove but mydei was quicker. "you are all much too young to be alone in a kitchen," there was a rough edge to his voice, but it was all out of love. mydei was quick to pick up the glass shards left by the plates, he then grabbed a damp towel and began to wipe the flour off of trinnon's face.
"i… i didn't mean for this to happen," trinnon mumbled, her face flushed with embarrassment. "i just wanted to make something special for everyone…"
"you will, don’t worry," mydei said softly, his voice calming as he gently lifted trinnon's chin, wiping the last of the flour from her face. "but for now, let’s just make sure you’re okay."
you couldn’t help but watch with a warm feeling in your chest, seeing the way mydei balanced his strength with kindness. he had a way of caring that wasn’t always obvious at first, but moments like this made it clear just how much he looked out for the people around him.
tribbie, who had been standing at the doorway watching the whole scene unfold, gave a small chuckle. "oh, this is just like when mama took care of us," she said with a hint of sadness.
you and mydei shared a look of sadness for the poor trio.
trinnon, now feeling a bit more at ease, smiled shyly. "thank you, mydei… and sorry again."
"no need to apologize," mydei replied, his voice now calm and steady. "just be more careful next time, okay? you all go sit back down, i'll show you the cooking skills of a true kremnoan."
with the situation finally under control, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief. "well, looks like we’re in good hands after all," you said, nudging tribbie lightly. "this meal might take a little longer, but i’m sure it'll be worth it."
tribbie grinned, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "oh, it’ll be worth it. i mean, with de in charge, we’re basically guaranteed five-star kremnoan cuisine!" she said, giving mydei a playful salute as he turned back to the stove, his brow furrowed in concentration.
you chuckled, shaking your head. "you really do have a way of making everything more interesting, don’t you, tribbie?"
"what can i say?" she shrugged with a smile. "life’s more fun when you don’t take it too seriously!"
you and the three young girls made your way back to the table. smiling hand in hand.
sitting down, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude. there was something comforting about this strange, yet warm, situation. the way everyone was so quick to pitch in and take care of each other—it was a bond that went beyond the usual social niceties.
"so girls, care to tell me what today was for?" you question gently as the three of them chuckle nervously. "w-we see the way you and mydei look at each other," tribbie started. "trianne wanted to set you both up on a date, but we weren't sure how to go about it."
"trianne found a romance book in castorice's bag, it was so slay, slay! we had to follow it!" trianne said with a big smile on her face.
"it seemed like a good idea in the moment," trinnon said softly.
you smiled at the three of them, at such a heart warming moment. "thank you for the attempt, but... i-is my crush on mydei really that noticeable?" you hid your face in your hands, not noticing how the footsteps behind you seemed to halt or the sound of the three girls giving each other high-fives.
trianne let out a mischievous giggle, "we'll let the two of you talk it out!"
mydei looked at the door for a second, his expression unreadable, then finally turned his gaze back to you. "so... seems like things are... out in the open now," he said softly, his voice surprisingly calm.
you finally peeked out from behind your hands, only to find him looking at you with the faintest hint of a smile. "i guess so," you mumbled, still feeling the heat of embarrassment.
mydei’s smile softened, and for the first time, you noticed the way his eyes held a certain warmth—almost as if he were relieved, too. "well, i suppose it was only a matter of time before they figured it out," he said, his voice quiet but sincere, "i do not think i was the best at hiding my feelings either." he admitted while avoiding eye contact.
"w-wait does that mean you really-" the amount of surprise in your voice caught mydei by surprise as he let out a small laugh. "how could i not be enamored by your beauty and strength? after fighting alongside someone as worthy as you, it was only a matter of time before i fell hard."
your heart skipped a beat as his words settled in, the weight of his confession sinking in. you couldn’t believe what you were hearing, and your mind raced to process it all. mydei—mydei—had been feeling the same way? your face flushed, and you struggled to find your voice.
"i… i didn’t know," you stammered, still processing his words. "i thought—i mean, i didn’t want to assume anything. you’ve always been so... calm and composed around me."
mydei finally met your gaze, and there was something vulnerable in his eyes that you hadn’t seen before. he looked almost unsure for a moment, as if searching for the right words. "i was careful not to let my feelings cloud my judgment," he explained, his voice softening. "but after everything we've been through together... it became harder to deny what was growing inside me." he paused, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. "you... are extraordinary. your strength, your courage, your heart—i couldn't help but be drawn to you."
"now then, please enjoy the meal i made for the all of us."
your heart raced, but in that moment, everything felt right. "yes," you said softly, your words steady and sure. "i’d like that."
bonus:
earlier that day
"de, could you accompany [nickname] and us-"
"yes."
tribbie scratched the back of her head, "it was that easy to convince you?"
"why would i need any convincing when [name] is involved?" mydei said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"wow, he's got it bad. we probably didn't need to break into that reasturant..."

on second thought ꒱ mydei 'n fem reader ᰔ fluff ⊹ word count 0.4k
Tumblr media
The crowned prince of Kremnos 'MYDEIMOS' and also the warrior of Okhema 'Mydei’, or ‘Dried pomegranate’ as you like to call him is an undying pain in the ass.
“Do you ever think before you do anything, Princess?” he asks mockingly, once again wielding your title like a weapon while you’re draped over his shoulder as if you are the lightest thing in the world, completely at his mercy as he walks away from the remains of dead Titankins. To him, this is another mindless warm-up as he saves you from trouble almost daily. “Oh, I am so wholeheartedly sorry… Apparently, I can’t go for a walk without my hero,” you retort, that sweet voice dripped with sarcasm and arrogance but he only smirks, further fueling your annoyance.
When you both arrive at the Okhema bathhouse, you’re greeted by Aglaea, Tribbie, and Phainon. The three of them stop dead in their tracks, surprise flashing across their faces as they take in the sight of you still perched indignantly over Mydei’s shoulder. Normally, you and he can’t stand to be in the same room together, or at least that’s the lie you both cling to. Despite your constant bickering, they’ve noticed the threads that bind you. Quite literally, in Aglaea’s case. Though blind, she can sense the golden strings connecting your hearts and just then Tribbie grins.
“You two should marry already!” she exclaims, clapping her hands together when Phainon chuckles in agreement. “She’s not wrong. Someone needs to keep him grounded,”
“What!? Us? Married?” you stammer, turning your head just enough to glare at the divine heroes, still hanging awkwardly over Mydei’s shoulder. Your cheeks burn as your heart pounds uncomfortably in your chest. Mydei, as usual, handles the situation with his signature exasperation and denial. “Don’t be absurd, Deliverer. Even a god driven mad wouldn’t suggest something so ridiculous,”
Lady Aglae clears her throat, ushering Tribbie and Phainon away to attend to other matters, leaving the two of you alone with the silence that makes you question your life choices. You can feel Mydei’s grip tighten before, without any warning, unceremoniously dumps you into the steaming bath. Letting out a scream as water splashes everywhere. Hair soaked, you feel it cling to your face, obstructing your view until his fingers brush it aside.
For a moment, his fiery and intense gaze softens and you swear you can see your reflection in his eyes as both of your faces lean closer and closer, your chest tightens, and your breath hitches, until … “On second thought,” he murmurs leaning back into the water with that same smirk, “I wouldn’t mind spending all my life with you.”
Your heart skips a beat, and for once, you're at a loss for words.

"do you want me to call your mother/father?!" he jokes yet the children replied in different hues of scared. "no!" every single one you could see had mixed variant, different version of mixtures of genes. from who? well.. you and mydei obviously.
"hah.. works everytime to get them—AAA!!" the blonde suddenly turns to phainon, only to find his partner, crossed arms and glaring at him. "call me for what?"
"oh.. (name), my love... haha.. you're home early." he awkwardly chuckles and gives a glare to phainon who walks away with a cheeky smile on his face. "are you scaring the kids again?" "you see.." "mydei!"
by the time you cater back to all three of the cuties, from afar you could spot the red spot on his face later, and it wasn't from blushing.. (spoiler alert, it's because you scolded him for scaring your kids)
"why does papa have a booboo?" one of the three children asked, as you replied with a smile. "oh! you know how papa is, he's a fighter, so he'll end up with a bruise or two." you lift the small baby girl up onto your lap as you hug her close. two of your other kids finding their spots to sit beside you as well. "against my will.." "did I hear something mydeimos?!" "no sir/ma'am!"
inspired by that tt audio of Rio 2 :)

BATHED IN A RED-STAINED GLOW !!
showering them with kisses and leaving lipstick stains, because why not? | featuring: phainon and mydei, established relationship, fluff, not proofread | wc: 0.5k
note — the voices got to me and i wrote this impulsively and i just wanna kiss phainon soo baddd urghhh hes sosososoo
Tumblr media
PHAINON, it feels like there are stars in his features, a faint glimmer of light that bleeds on the edges of the rosy smudges painted on his face. delight was an understatement to his current situation—he is utterly glowing, basking like he would under the everlasting light with all of the attention that you are giving him. he could stay like this forever; your hand cupping his cheeks, your lips, painted in a shade of red, pressing all over. “keep going,” he is needy, desperately, and pathetically asking for more despite already showering him with too much, so much that you’re running out of empty spaces for your art; the stains overlapping against one another, darkening in pigment, as you leave a mark on top of the other. you linger in place often, leaving with a faint sound of a smack. the flush of his cheeks hidden by the prints of smudged and fading red, and you start kissing along his jaw, leaving nothing untouched by you. his hands don't know where to place itselves, wandering from your sides to your back, from gripping the front of your shirt to tangling with your hair, until they settle at his sides, clenching and unclenching as it trembles. “i think that’s enough,” you say when you pull back, admiring the messy and flustered state of your kiss-stained lover, and by the amphoreus’ skies, he looks so pretty under this light of pink hues and everything that embodies his being. and while you are enamored by him, he thinks of how you are the testament of the existence of beauty and how you make it utterly divine by the palm of your hands. “no, it’s never enough.”
MYDEI, “aren’t you brash?” he says right after your lips had left his cheek; you had asked him to let you try on this new shade of lipstick you had bought, expecting that you’ll paint the pigment on him outright but was greeted with a kiss instead. however, he doesn’t deny you nor does he even show a hint of detest to the attention he is willingly being given. and so, one kiss turns into two, then turns into three, then turns into the collection that you have left on him. you don’t know how long it has been and when he has pulled you into his lap—he doesn’t make any further moves, just resting his hands on your waist, stroking your sides as you do your careful, intimate work. and when you try to pull away, he only pulls you back in until the tips of your noses touch. “i don’t recall asking you to stop,” is what he whispers with an eyebrow raised which earns a chuckle from you, “greedy,” a mumble with a smile on your face, pressing forward to kiss the side of his mouth. he urges you to continue, spurring you on with the caress of his fingers on your back. you know his words, the whispers of his thoughts, despite not saying anything, but you know it all, and you know he adores you just as the red adores his skin. you think you see another shade dusting his cheeks, you think you see the waver in his gaze, you think you see the affectionate gleam in his eyes, and you think he doesn’t look as intimidating and scary not when your lipstick is smeared across his face.

Imagine baking with Mydei.
Tumblr media
Imagine him standing behind you, your back to his chest while he instructs and guides you through the process.
Imagine him stopping you when you're kneading the dough, even though he's fully aware you're doing a perfect job. He doesn't admit to you that he's just using an opportunity to get more involved, though that almost teasing smile on his face tells you enough already.
Imagine Mydei placing his hands above yours, guiding your hands and kneading the dough with slow movements and a gentleness that most people wouldn't deem him capable of.
It's so strangely intimate, especially with how close you already are. Your hands engulfed by his, fingers intertwined, his breath fanning over your hair, the warmth of his body at your back...

— ❝ THROUGH A TOUGH DEMEANOR – LAID A FLEET FRAGILITY ❞ ⋆˙⟡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
८ sypnosis. afflicted with strife ─ embodiment of chaos and violence, would he, o great warrior, whom cast upon the massacre of murders relish in the comfort of another once more? (mydei x gn!reader) - wc: 0.6k
@ warnings; none ! fluff & however SOME mentions of blood & gruesome imagery, some insight upon Mydei's backstory, but not thoroughly delved ( ˶°ㅁ°)
── notes. so i found myself with a CRAZY hyperfixation over greek mythology, and i think it's kind of obvious in some stanzas of this fic LMAO. This is really short cause i got lazy but technically i just finished Song Of Achilles (AMAZINGGG book by the way, pls read it), and inspiration struck me (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
The gold embedded, roughed exterior of hand that teared through enemies, masses of blood trickling down the unforgiving palm of the Castrum Kremnos’s warrior – his home bathed in blood, as the red-headed male himself stood unrelenting in the battlefield, shrouded with the chaos and strife.
Mydei was only known for such. Words among the living sang praises, others shouted castigates. Feared – apprehends, for this Chrysos heir bears only the trait to the calamity of life itself, discord and wrangling conflict brewed, and the crowned prince was testament of that.
His rough hands – if he could even call them that, they were more like metal-instilled.. claws. The enemy he tore down, the people, hometown that he couldn’t save, the spear that Mydei had wielded, the very tip pointing at his own father. A discordant cacophony of voices apprehended him, as far as immortal Mydei was, alas, he was still that of a human, though a traitor – a warrior who’s only destiny is to bathe the battlefield into rivers of blood, sparing no life around him. He was only made for that of brutality—
“I don’t think you’re that scary.” You hummed, allowing yourself to sink into his hold further. Wait, that’s wrong. That isn’t – that’s .. not right. Only then did Mydei pause, seeing the position he was in. You – you and your sickening sweet smile, sickening locks of hair – sickening face, all of which makes his heart involuntarily beat faster than he wished, lied on his chest, your back snuggled into the comfort of his grasp.
Worse of all, he was holding you with the fragility of an infant, as if afraid he’d hurt you. But that’s not right, he’s a warrior – rinsed in bloodshed, not – some lovesick idiot holding the love of his life in the most gentle of embrace that made him fear that had he held you any tighter, you’d crumbled under the cleave of his palms.
“You’re mistaken.” His hoarse voice replied, indifference sewn onto the tone of his words, he did not, however, release you. Instead, he only gently pulled you closer to him. He. . felt human, he felt whole.
“Mydeimos.” My-dei-mos, you sounded out his name like it belonged on your tongue, full - tender, not stricken with fear, neither with sweet talk or disdain, but adoring. Mydei felt a shiver run down his spine as you leaned your head back to stare at him, a smile on your face.
You reached your hands up to cup his cheek into yours – your palms were soft, miraculously blazen with a comfort that he has long reached for since he had been apart from his mother – a soft scent of apples whiffed from your palm, the same hand lotion he always saw you use. You pulled his face down, closer to yours.
“I’ll never regret loving you.” You smiled, but Mydei felt as if he had seen the sun itself kiss him tenderly. He leaned into your touch, the soles of your hand cupping his face, your body on his, and each skin that caressed one another felt – right, perfect. Mydei felt that if he were to let go of the fond embrace that you embellish him with, he would fall back into chaos.
Mydei was made for war – the fastest, strongest, best of all – whereas everyone saw him as a killing machine, you saw him as a boy who grew up with too little to embrace, so you’ll settle with embracing him a slight more.
And that was okay. For under that exterior, he was but your Mydeimos. Not the crowned prince of Castrum Kremnos, not the traitor that killed his father, not the core-flame bearer of Nikador, not the killing machine – but the boy whom you’d clasp to your heart for as long as he lets you.
You were his humanity, and he was yours.

NOTES:
- clear inspiration from song of achilles haha.. guys am i delusional to think that mydei could be a LITTLE bit based off of Achilles?? He was thrown into the river of souls - Achilles was dipped into the river styx (or, river of souls), they're both great warriors too HELLOO (ok but achilles is kind of a horrible person, pls don't be clouded by tsoa) - (name)'s hands has the smell of apples because apples represent love. In most cultures, the fruit depict that of desire, love, and abundance. In greek mythology specifically (where amphoreus is based on), the fruit serves as a symbol of courtship! - "My-dei-mos" is a reference to song of achilles, where achilles always sounds out patroclus's name, full, where everyone speaks patroclus's name quickly like something eager to take off their tongue, Achilles sounds it out, holds it. I wanted to convey that in this too because as great as a warrior Mydei is, i don't think he's that well loved, his name holds fear, but when someone speaks it like it's tendered and loved, it's so different DO YOU GET ME. - i don't love this and didn't proofread it that much but its ok i js wanted to clear it out of my docs LOL

i need more mydei x reader fanfics dont leave me hanging…….
The way I giggled and kicked my feet at this, one bed with mydei and Phainon YES, JUST YES😌
(BTW, mydei is wearing a shirt in the bed scene)
Mydei x (fem) reader x Phainon
Only one Bed
The rain had started coming down hard by the time Mydei, Phainon, and Y/N finally reached the small inn nestled between the hills. Their mission had taken longer than expected, and all three of them were exhausted. The golden glow of lanterns inside the building was a welcome sight as they stepped inside, shaking off their damp cloaks.
“I’ll go book us a room,” Phainon announced, stretching his arms. “You two just sit tight.”
Mydei scoffed. “Like I need your permission.”
Phainon shot him a grin before sauntering over to the innkeeper. Meanwhile, Mydei shifted his attention to Y/N, who was absently rubbing her shoulders as if trying to shake off the chill from the rain. Without a word, he reached over and took her bag from her hands, effortlessly slinging it over his own shoulder.
She blinked up at him. “Oh, you didn’t have to—”
“Just take it,” he muttered, looking away. “You always carry too much.”
A small smile tugged at her lips, but she didn’t argue.
Phainon returned a moment later with a slightly sheepish expression. “So… small problem.”
Mydei narrowed his eyes. “What now?”
Phainon rubbed the back of his head. “They only had one room left.”
Y/N tilted her head. “That’s not so bad.”
Phainon hesitated. “And… only one bed.”
There was a moment of silence as Mydei and Y/N processed that. Then Mydei let out a sharp exhale. “Absolutely not.”
Phainon crossed his arms. “You got a better idea, champ? Sleep outside?”
Y/N, ever the peacemaker, placed a hand on Mydei’s arm before he could actually consider that. “It’s a big bed, isn’t it? We can share.”
Mydei scowled, glancing away. “I’ll take the floor.”
“Fine,” Phainon said immediately, throwing an arm around Y/N’s shoulder. “Then I’ll keep her company in bed.”
Mydei turned back so fast Phainon barely had time to react. “Like hell you will.”
Phainon raised his hands in mock surrender. “Wow, relax! Just pointing out how ridiculous you’re being.”
Y/N sighed. “You two need to stop bickering. We can just share the bed. It’s not like any of us bite.”
“I might,” Phainon muttered under his breath, earning a glare from Mydei.
“Fine,” Mydei finally grumbled. “But you two better not kick in your sleep.”
They made their way upstairs to their room, which, true to Phainon’s word, only had one large bed dominating the center. A warm fireplace crackled in the corner, casting flickering shadows across the wooden walls.
“Well, this’ll be cozy,” Phainon said, already unfastening his cloak. “Who wants the shower first?”
“You go last,” Mydei said immediately. “Or else you’ll use up all the hot water.”
Phainon placed a hand over his heart. “You wound me.”
Y/N chuckled. “I’ll go first, then.”
They both nodded, watching as she disappeared into the washroom with a towel. As soon as the door clicked shut, an awkward silence settled between Mydei and Phainon.
Phainon flopped onto the bed with a dramatic sigh. “So. Just us now, huh?”
Mydei shot him a look before leaning against the wall, arms crossed. “Don’t talk.”
Phainon smirked. “Aw, come on. You’re not still mad about the bed thing, are you?”
Mydei scowled. “I should throw you out the window.”
Before Phainon could retort, the washroom door opened, and Y/N stepped out, drying her hair with a towel. Her damp locks clung to her shoulders, and the fresh scent of soap filled the room.
Both men froze. Mydei felt his cheeks heat up slightly, but he quickly looked away. Even Phainon, who was normally unbothered, rubbed the back of his neck as he cleared his throat.
Y/N, oblivious to the effect she had, continued towel-drying her hair. Seeing this, Phainon started to reach out. “Here, I’ll help—”
“Go shower,” Mydei cut in abruptly.
Phainon sighed dramatically but relented, gathering his things and heading into the washroom. The moment the door shut, Mydei let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. His gaze flickered back to Y/N, who was still focused on drying her hair. Without thinking, he stepped forward and gently took the towel from her hands.
She blinked up at him. “Mydei?”
“Sit,” he muttered. “You’re going to catch a cold if you don’t dry it properly.”
She hesitated for a moment before obeying, sitting at the edge of the bed while he carefully ran the towel through her hair. She hummed softly. “You’re really good at this.”
Mydei scoffed. “You say that like it’s hard.”
She giggled. “Still, it’s nice of you.”
His hands faltered slightly at her words, but he quickly resumed. “Just don’t tell Phainon. He’ll never let me hear the end of it.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, Mydei’s usually rough hands surprisingly gentle as he worked through her damp locks. By the time Phainon stepped out of the shower, stretching and sighing in satisfaction, he paused mid-step at the sight of them.
“Well, well,” he said, smirking. “Look at this cozy scene.”
Mydei tossed the towel at his face. “Shut up.”
Phainon laughed. “You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you?”
Y/N smiled. “He’s been very helpful.”
Phainon waggled his eyebrows. “Oh, I bet.”
Mydei glared at him. “Do you want to sleep outside?”
Phainon held up his hands in surrender. “Fine, fine. Let’s just get some sleep.”
They all climbed into the large bed, with Y/N in the middle. Mydei made sure to keep a respectful distance, but Phainon, being his usual self, sprawled out comfortably. To Mydei’s dismay, Phainon had no problem cuddling up to Y/N, and she didn’t even seem to mind.
After a few moments of silence, Phainon muttered, “This is kinda nice, huh?”
Y/N hummed in agreement. “Yeah.”
Mydei grumbled. “Go to sleep.”
Phainon chuckled. “Night, lovebirds.”
Neither of them responded, but in the dim light of the room, Mydei’s ears burned slightly.
As the night settled in, the soft crackling of the fireplace was the only sound filling the room. Phainon, being the most relaxed of the three, had no trouble dozing off first. He had sprawled out, his head resting against Y/N’s shoulder as he nestled closer, completely at ease.
Y/N, warm and exhausted from the long day, soon followed. Her breathing evened out, her body shifting in sleep as she unconsciously adjusted. At some point, without realizing it, she turned towards Mydei, pressing against his side, her head lightly resting against his chest.
Mydei, who had been lying stiffly on his back, immediately tensed. His golden eyes flicked downward, catching the sight of her peaceful face just inches from his own. Her warmth seeped through the thin fabric of his shirt, and he could feel the steady rhythm of her breathing against him.
His heartbeat, normally steady and composed, faltered slightly.
For a brief moment, instinct told him to move away—to put some distance between them. But as he shifted slightly, her hand absentmindedly curled into his shirt, like she was seeking comfort even in her sleep.
He swallowed, exhaling quietly.
Phainon had draped an arm lazily over Y/N’s waist, holding onto her like a human pillow, his face buried in her shoulder. The sight irritated Mydei more than it should have. But Y/N’s warmth against him—her quiet presence—was grounding in a way he hadn’t expected.
His muscles, once tense, slowly relaxed.
“…Just this once,” he murmured under his breath, barely above a whisper.
Careful not to wake her, he let himself rest, his gaze lingering on the ceiling. Y/N remained nestled against him, her breathing soft and steady, and despite himself, Mydei stayed still, allowing her to stay close.
Sleep didn’t come as easily for him, but with her warmth beside him, he didn’t mind as much.
The soft golden light of morning streamed through the window, casting a gentle glow over the room. The fireplace had died down to a few embers, leaving only the quiet rise and fall of breathing from the bed.
Phainon was the first to wake, stretching his arms with a lazy yawn. He blinked a few times, adjusting to the light—until his vision settled on the sight before him.
Y/N was nestled comfortably in Mydei’s arms.
Phainon’s eyes widened slightly. At some point during the night, Mydei had taken her from his grasp and pulled her against him. Her head rested against his chest, one hand lightly curled into his shirt, and Mydei's arm was wrapped snugly around her, holding her close.
But the real kicker? Mydei was awake.
And he was smirking.
Triumphantly.
Phainon gawked. “You absolute—” He huffed. “I had her first.”
Mydei raised an eyebrow, his expression smug as he tightened his hold just a little, just enough to make his point. “Looks like she disagrees.”
Phainon groaned dramatically. “That’s not fair. I want cuddles too.”
Without hesitation, Mydei grabbed the nearest pillow and hurled it at his face.
THWACK.
Phainon let out a muffled yelp as he peeled the pillow away, pouting. “Rude.”
“Too bad,” Mydei said smoothly, settling back into the pillows.
Phainon huffed and crossed his arms. “This is favoritism.”
Mydei simply shrugged, looking far too pleased with himself. “Sounds like a you problem.”
Phainon squinted at him before flopping back onto the bed dramatically. “Fine, but next time, I’m stealing her first.”
Mydei chuckled lowly. “We’ll see about that.”
Y/N, still blissfully unaware, snuggled closer into Mydei’s warmth, sighing softly in her sleep. Mydei shot Phainon one last smirk before resting his chin atop her head.
Phainon groaned into his pillow. “I hate you.”
Mydei closed his eyes, perfectly content. “No, you don’t.”

✧ tws : sfw : really suggestive, mild body worship, physical intimacy, sweat and physical description of Mydei’s big muscles.
✧ synopsis : giving your husband a back massage. (gn!reader)
Tumblr media
Mydei was sprawled across the bed, his golden eyes flickering toward you as a small smile curled his lips, clearly exhausted but content. “You always know how to take care of me,” he murmured, voice husky and heavy with desire.
You approached him slowly, eyes trailing over the strong planes of his body. His chest rose and fell with each breath, the sweat glistening on his skin as it clung to his toned abs. His biceps flexed slightly when he shifted, the muscles rippling beneath his shirt. The heat of his body was intoxicating, and you couldn’t help but admire the sculpted beauty of his form.
You began massaging his back, fingers pressing firmly into the tight muscles. Mydei let out a low groan at the first touch, his body tensing slightly before he relaxed into your hands, sighing as you worked away the tension.
The warmth of his skin under your palms made your breath catch in your throat. His sweat-slicked chest was tempting, each movement of your fingers only drawing you closer to him. Your hands slid lower, tracing the ridges of his spine, your touch leaving a lingering heat on his skin. As you leaned over him, your breath brushed across his neck, and you could feel the faint shudder run through him. His chest tightened with every stroke, muscles flexing in response to your touch.
“You’re good at this,” Mydei whispered, his voice thick with need as your fingers dug deeper into the muscles of his lower back. His abs tightened, his body reacting instinctively to your every movement.
You let your hands trail across his shoulders, brushing against the damp skin of his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath your touch. Mydei’s biceps flexed as he shifted slightly, his body almost demanding more from you. Your fingers lingered just a moment longer, the heat between you both rising with every passing second.
“You really are a work of art,” you whispered, your voice low as you took in the way his body seemed to pulse beneath your touch, the sweat glistening on his chest.
A smirk played on Mydei’s lips, his golden eyes locking onto yours. “You like what you see?”
You didn’t answer right away. Instead, you leaned in, your body pressing closer to his. The warmth of him made your heart race. Your hands kept moving over his back, each touch making him shudder slightly.
Without thinking, you kissed his neck, the salty taste of his skin making you want more. Mydei’s breath hitched, and before you knew it, his lips were on yours, hungry and urgent. The kiss was slow at first, but it quickly deepened, both of you pulling each other closer.
“You’re... driving me crazy,” Mydei whispered between kisses, his voice rough. His hands slid to your back, pulling you even closer, and you could feel his chest against yours, strong and warm.
You kissed him back, your hands moving up to trace the hard lines of his shoulders. “You’re not so bad yourself,” you murmured, your voice breathless. His lips trailed down your neck, and you let out a soft gasp, feeling the heat between you both rise with each kiss. Every touch felt like it was pulling you deeper into the moment, the connection between you undeniable.

Hello! Congrats on 1.500 followers! May I request Fluff Prompt # 26. "Do you think we're friends/lovers in every universe?" (Romantic) for Amphoreus men: Mydei, Phainon, and Anaxa?
Thank you so much!
✿"Do you think we're lovers in every universe?"
A/n: Thank you! I hope you enjoy this <3
Ko-Fi |  1.5K followers event
˖ ࣪⊹Mydei
Tumblr media
The question initially puzzles him, almost as if he doesn’t understand it, but the truth is that he simply never had the time to ponder over such things. It is an abstract thought, much like the thought of tomorrow, but in some small part of his chest he is sure of it as well.
“Hmm.. I do not doubt that even in the vastness of the universe and bounds of time, our souls have found their way to one another in another place, as they did here” He told you, not looking directly at you but somewhere out into the sky, the thought clinging to the corners of his mind. It was a bit rare to hear him speak in such a way, so..hopeful and gentle, almost pure, even with the gravel still present in his words, but it was that sincerity that had your heart wishing to leap into his embrace.
You knew that if some force in another universe had decided it would want to prevent you two from meeting, Mydei would have cleaved through it like a hot knife slides through butter. And you would have fought all the same.
Perhaps it was an idealistic approach, overly romantic, but it felt too true to debate it. You sunk deeper into Mydei’s side, feeling his arm pull you into him as you embraced him, smiling.
˖ ࣪⊹Anaxa
Tumblr media
“In every univers?” he furrows his brows as he pauses from writing down another word, “That is quite an.. intriguing question. Multiple different realities, different settings but all with the same players. Seems like a bit of a stretch to me..” he shook his head, but the faltering of his grip on his quill spoke of unspoken thoughts that the question sparked in his mind.
“The chances of us being together, or even knowing each other in every single universe is a low probability. In a way, it is almost absurd” he continued on, “however, in the universes we are together in, I have no doubts that you are one of the very few I openly hold dear”
Truth of this question is all out of reach, but that does not stop one mind from wondering and wandering, not even his own mind whom he boasts is always founded in facts and evidence. But there was something so symbolic and romantic in your inquiry that he could not deny, it was a comforting concept, and for a moment he wished he could glimpse into this other universe. But perhaps to glimpse such a thing, he needs to first cherish every single moment here, which he plans to do.
˖ ࣪⊹Phainon
Tumblr media
Phainon smiles when you ask that, looking over at you with a fond smile and even fonder eyes. A small touch of sadness graces his heart but he dares not let it affect him in that moment, instead he lets his mind flood with images of different universes. You and him. In one you have your hair in a different color, and he has his hair long, in another he is building a house for the both of you and you’re bringing out a tray of your favorite snacks and his favorite drink. Many more fill his thoughts, and he finds no doubt within his being - he’d love you in all the universes.
“That is quite possible.. The universe is infinite, and so are the possibilities of our meeting. I believe we are together in every one, meeting under different circumstances, finding out again and again the same little things about one another.. Yes.. I can’t imagine a world where we do not meet, where we are not together..”

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩
the children of okhema would never miss the chance to play house with the prince of kremnos and his beautiful princess.
mydei x reader cw: fem. reader, fluff, children, phainon appears, soft mydei :) slight angst but it's nothing intense, not proofread
Tumblr media
"they're just like the couple from the stories we read!"
in the garden of life, two siblings were staring intensely at you and your lover, mydei, tease the infamous verax leo.
"they are! [name] definitely fits the description of a princess!" the younger sister, penelope, said to her older sister, ellie.
ellie nodded her head in excitement. "yes and sir mydei..."
the two went quiet as they thought of the right words to use.
"is he like the scary dragon that sweeps the princess away?" penelope pondered with a hand on her chin. ellie shook her head, "i don't think so. maybe the evil merman who tries to sink her ship?"
penelope disagreed with her sister's idea, gosh this was difficult for their young brains!
"i got it!" penelope shouted excitedly, "the barbarian who kidnapped princess [name] from her kingdom!"
ellie gasped in shock at her sister's brilliant brain. "penelope, you're a genius!"
"didn't your parents ever teach you it's rude to talk about people behind their backs?"
the girls squealed as mydei's baritone voice came from behind them.
"h-he's gonna get us!" ellie held onto her sister for dear life. "we're going to be fed to his lion!"
penelope had tears start to brim her eyes at the thought of being eaten by verax leo. she's seen that lion bite people's hands!
mydei panicked as he noticed the fear on the two girls' faces, he kneeled in front of them. "t-there is no need to be scared. apologies if i frightened you two." mydei did his best to smile at the sisters, but that only made things worse.
"o-oh my god, ellie, he's going to eat us!" penelope cried out as a flash of hurt crossed mydei's face.
he could already here the whispers around him.
'he's scaring the children? a true kremnoan.'
'where are those girls' parents? he's going to hurt them...'
"is everything okay here?" your gentle voice broke through the tension. "l-lady [name]!' ellie said as she ran up to hug your legs, almost knocking the two freshly bought cups of gelato out of your hands.
"p-please save us from the barbarian," penelope said as she ran to your other leg. you looked at mydei in confusion, but the way he avoided meeting your eyes was enough for you to figure out what was going on here.
"barbarian? silly girls, i don't see a barbarian anywhere." the sisters let go of your legs, and you crouched down to their eye level. "you don't?" ellie said, her tears now dry.
you handed each of the girls the treat, which was initially met for you and mydei. "no, all i see is a handsome prince and his two loyal sidekicks."
"a handsome prince?" ellie said in wonder as she peeked at mydei, who now stood next to you with his arms crossed.
"his two loyal sidekicks?" penelope said with barely concealed excitement.
"we're the prince's sidekicks!" they said at the same time with big smiles. "that's right! and the prince's sidekicks always say thank you to him for paying for the treats!" you gestured to the treats in their hands.
"t-thank you, lord mydei." ellie said sheepishly.
penelope nodded, "thank you for being a nice guy! w-we're sorry for calling you a barbarian..."
mydei simply shook his head, "don't worry about it," he paused and put a gentle hand on each of the girls' heads. "a prince could never be upset at his two loyal sidekicks." he ruffled their hair.
the girls giggled as an idea popped into ellie's head. "prince, we have to help you protect princess [name]!" penelope nodded in agreement.
"yes, we can't let anyone take her from you!"
mydei laughed as he looked at you, "there's no need to worry about that. i'm strong enough to not let anything take her away from me." you smiled at his sincerity, knowing he was speaking the honest truth.
"you may be strong enough to protect her from evil, but what about from another man?" ellie said matter of factly. "yeah, another man!" penelope said, piggybacking off her older sister.
you smiled nervously at the three of them, knowing this wasn't going to end well. "that'll never happen."
mydei's happy expression turned stone cold as he ignored your words, "another man?" he said to himself. ellie took it upon herself to continue this story of hers. "yeah, like what about..." she scanned the area at the same time a certain white haired chrysos heir walked into the garden, "him!"
mydei felt a sinister smile take over his face as he looked to where ellie's finger was pointing, one the girls tried to copy. "yeah him!" penelope said with an 'evil' smile.
you thought she looked quite adorable and decided to play along. with an overly dramatic gasp, you put a hand to your heart. "do you girls really think duke phainon would try to take me from prince mydei?"
"who wouldn't want you for themselves?" mydei answered in their stead, eyes not leaving the unsuspecting phainon. penelope nodded, "duke phainon... the prince's rival in both battle and [name]'s heart!"
ellie grabbed a stick off the ground, breaking it in half and handing the other half to penelope. "we'll take him down for you, prince!"
"w-wait-" you tried to intervene only to be cut off by mydei. "this is why you both are my most loyal sidekicks. if you defeat him," he stood between the two of them, "i'll give you half of my land."
"we struck gold penelope!"
"we did, ellie! wait what do we do with land?" penelope's question went unanswered as ellie started to run straight towards phainon. penelope wasted no time to follow after her sister.
you watched as mydei snickered to himself, yelling out, "hit him in the knees and ankles!"
you could faintly hear phainon letting out surprised yelps.
"he's never going to let you live this down," you shook your head in faux disappointment.
"he'll have more important matters to worry about," mydei let out another laugh as he watched ellie try to poke phainon's eye with the stick.
just as you predicted, phainon was not going to let this go easily.
"mydei, you absolute menace!" phainon’s voice rang out through the garden, followed by the sound of frantic footsteps. ellie and penelope were cackling as they chased him, their sticks raised like weapons of war. "call off your tiny assassins!"
"assassins?" ellie gasped, eyes shining. "prince mydei, can we be your royal assassins too?"
"absolutely," mydei grinned, clearly enjoying himself. "but first, you have to prove yourselves by defeating duke phainon."
"you're a tyrant!" phainon accused, dodging a swing from ellie. "lady [name], are you really going to stand by and let this happen?"
you sighed, pressing a hand to your forehead. "girls, maybe we should show mercy?"
"mercy?" penelope repeated, looking at you like you’d just said the most ridiculous thing in the world. "but he's the prince’s rival!"
"he’s also a duke, and dukes have a lot of money," you pointed out, a knowing glint in your eyes. "and if he’s grateful enough for your mercy, he might even reward you."
phainon perked up immediately. "yes! i’ll pay you both handsomely to stop attacking me!"
ellie and penelope paused, considering the offer.
"how much?" ellie asked, lowering her stick slightly.
"enough for you to buy all the sweets in the market," phainon bargained, straightening his coat.
the girls turned to mydei, seeking his input. mydei smirked, crossing his arms. "a true prince values loyalty over gold," he said, playing into their game. "but... i suppose even the best assassins have to make a living."
ellie and penelope huddled together in deep discussion before finally coming to a decision.
"okay, duke phainon," penelope said, pointing her stick at him one last time. "we accept your offer. you live to see another day!"
"oh, thank the heavens," phainon exhaled dramatically, brushing dust off his sleeves. he shot mydei a glare. "you're raising a pair of little mercenaries, you know that?"
"loyal mercenaries," mydei corrected, looking thoroughly pleased with himself.
the chaos soon enough calmed down, phainon now being dragged around like a doll. (he looked tired, but you could by the small smile on his face he was enjoying himself).
"lady [name], since prince mydei is your true love, does that mean you’re going to have a grand royal wedding?"
"yeah!" penelope gasped, eyes shining. "like in the stories! with a big castle, and a golden carriage, and—ooh! a feast with an endless dessert table!"
you blinked, caught off guard by their enthusiasm. "well, uh—"
"of course," mydei interrupted smoothly, tightening his hold on your hand. "the grandest wedding my kingdom has ever seen."
your face warmed at his confidence. "i don’t recall agreeing to that."
"why wouldn’t you?" mydei smirked. "who else could be worthy of you?"
"so humble," phainon muttered under his breath, dusting off his blazer.
"i want to throw the petals," penelope declared proudly. "but only if they’re pink."
"and i’ll be the royal wedding protector!" ellie added, brandishing her stick. "i’ll make sure no evil villains crash the ceremony!"
"me too!" penelope joined in, striking a battle-ready pose. "no scary mermen or evil barbarians allowed!"
mydei chuckled, clearly entertained. "i’ll be counting on you both."
you sighed in defeat, though you couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. "i suppose i have no choice but to accept my fate then."
phainon scoffed, adjusting his cuffs. "i pity whoever has to sit through a wedding planned by these two."
"oh, you’re invited, duke phainon," ellie grinned mischievously. "but only if you survive long enough to attend."
phainon paled slightly, taking a step back. "you’re both terrifying."
"thank you!" the sisters chirped in unison.
as mydei pulled you closer, his lips brushed against your temple in a whisper of victory. "see? even the children know we’re meant to be."
you rolled your eyes, but your heart betrayed you with its quickened pace. "remind me again why i put up with you?"
"because you love me," mydei said with a grin.
you huffed, but your smile gave you away.
i loved writing this, probably won't be the last we see penelope and ellie! :)

“Are you two married?” A small boy with a sword in hand, eyes bright and full of curiosity, turns to MYDEIMOS, and the prince immediately opens his mouth to dismiss the idea. “No, we are no—”
“Oh, Mydei. I didn’t know you saw me that way~” you tease, standing at the dusty training grounds as the kids swing their wooden swords around, trying to be just like their role models. His face flushes a little, but he doesn’t break his cool or let you tease him further.
“I don’t. More training, less talking,” Mydei says, keeping his attention on the little girl trying to hold her wooden weapon properly, though his annoyance is hard to ignore.
The girl looks up at the prince, raising an eyebrow. “You two argue like my parents do.” Mydei freezes, caught off guard by her bluntness. He rolls his eyes and sighs, walking away to take a breather, not wanting to have this conversation again. “Let’s take a break.”
As the children are happy with their well-deserved rest, you sidle up to them, handing them water or the much-preferred pomegranate juice. “He’s just shy. Give him time.” You wink, nudging the boy who started it all. “Now, now, who wants some sweet treats?”
The little girl takes advantage of you being occupied and approaches Mydei. She looks up at him, her hands carefully clutching her sword. “If I were like Lady (Name), a beautiful and good woman, and a prince like you came along…” She pauses, having that dreamy look on her face, waiting for his reaction. “We'd get married. That’s what happens in the fairytales, right?”
Mydei stands still, gazing down at the child and then at you, observing how your smile makes the rest of the children happier, how you just being here makes him feel so … giddy. He exhales deeply, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Well, fairytales are a bit nonexistent.” He glances at you, his voice soft. “But you should never settle for anything less than you deserve.”
“Really? Is the wedding soon?” The prince rolls his eyes and ruffles her hair, making her laugh, but he doesn’t answer, and she only takes his answer as a promise that it will happen.

"I believe you'll experience it someday!" Mydei hears you beam, your voice warm and inviting—a gentle melody that seemed to cut through the stillness that often surrounded him during his brief moments of peace. A sweet smile graced your lips as you confidently reached out to take his hands in yours, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. The unexpected softness of your touch was a stark contrast to the tension that usually enveloped his life, offering a whisper of comfort that dared to breach his guarded heart. Despite his intimidating exterior—his chiseled jaw and stormy, piercing eyes that sent most people scurrying away—you approached him without a hint of hesitation.
"What do you mean?" he asked, furrowing his brow slightly as he studied you with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. His voice was gruff, deep, and resonant, like distant thunder rumbling across a darkened sky, creating an atmosphere heavy with uncertainty.
"Pfft, love, idiot-" you chimed, your infectious light radiating around him like a gentle sunbeam breaking through the clouds, illuminating the shadows that often clouded his world. You could see the flicker of intrigue in his eyes, a spark that hinted at a battle waging within. Seemingly unbothered by the use of 'idiot" as if it were a term of endearment coming from you.
"Well, what if I don't want a partner?" he countered, a hint of defensiveness creeping into his tone, as if your words threatened the carefully constructed walls he had built around himself.
"Who said anything about a partner?" you replied, momentarily caught off guard by his bluntness. The surprise quickly faded, and you regained your composure with the grace of a dancer stepping back into rhythm after a brief misstep. "Love comes in all different shapes, sizes, and forms, Mydei. It's not just about romance."
With deliberate tenderness, you leaned forward, easing your way closer to him, which he allowed. You lifted a knee to settle into his lap, a bold move that invited intimacy while cozying into the strong, protective confines of his throne-like seat. The warmth of your body against his seemed to dissolve the barriers he had erected around himself, inviting a sense of safety that he rarely experienced.
"Self-love is one of them," you added softly, your voice sincere and earnest, resonating with the depth of your understanding.
As you wrapped your arms around him, letting go of his hands, you felt him relax into your embrace. The contact melted the tension between you, creating a pocket of comfort that felt cocooned from the outside world. "It’s tough to achieve, that’s for certain," you continued, your gaze unwavering as you locked eyes with him, searching for understanding within those tempestuous depths. "But… it’s really nice to have once you do, don’t you think?" You held your breath, hoping to draw him into a moment of clarity amidst the chaos that often surrounded him.
“Hah. I can’t say I know what that’s like,” he replies, his voice tinged with a hint of longing. “I haven’t had the luxury of such a commitment. The very idea of devoting myself to someone feels like a distant dream to me, far too risky given the inherent dangers that come with my position.”
Your curiosity is piqued as you tilt your head slightly, trying to catch a glimpse of what lies beneath his guarded exterior. “So it’s something you’ve thought of before?” you ask, your voice soft yet probing. His gaze shifts momentarily, suggesting a swirl of emotions beneath the surface.
“Occasionally,” he admits, looking down as if the ground might offer him refuge from his own vulnerability. “But it’s not like I can afford to let anyone in. This destiny… it’s complicated. Anyone I care about could be in danger because of me.”
You can’t help but sense the weight of his unspoken fears. “You’re not alone in this, you know,” you say gently. “You don’t always have to carry that burden by yourself.”
He meets your eyes, and for a fleeting moment, his guard lowers. “It’s hard to let go,” he confesses, his voice barely above a whisper while maintaining it's usual gruff edge. “I want to believe that someone could stand by me, but…” He trails off, the unsaid hanging in the air between you.
Your gaze shifts, drawn to the intricate red markings that snake across his chest. They’re like a canvas of stories untold, a work of art against the backdrop of his muscular physique. You gently trace your finger along one of the markings, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath your touch. “But what if I wanted to be that someone?” you suggest, your heart racing as you share your own silent desire.
He halts mid-sentence, his brow furrowing in both confusion and intrigue as a flicker of surprise illuminates his features. The unexpected weight of your words settles heavily in the air between you, creating a palpable tension that seems to slow time itself for an instant. “And if you already are that person?” he asks. Mydei's question lingers, expecting an answer yet remaining patient with you, determination etching itself into his expression as he prepares to delve deeper into the conversation.
In that moment, as your fingertips gently brush against the artful contours of his skin, a charged silence envelops you both. The air thrums with unspoken possibilities, thrilling yet laced with an undercurrent of fear, undeniably tangible. A man ensnared by the curse of eternal returns, each death a brutal reminder of the fragility of life. The thought weighs heavily on him; how could he endure the anguish of your inevitable departure?
You take a breath, gathering your thoughts before responding, “Maybe that's the question I've been avoiding, Mydei. What if I am? What if every word we share, every moment becomes a part of a cycle we can't break? It terrifies me just as much as it intrigues me.” Your voice is steady but vulnerable, and you lock eyes with him, the depth of your feelings reflecting in your gaze, expressing more than your usual positive outlook, expressing your own concerns. “But perhaps it's also a chance—to embrace the fleeting moments we have, no matter how they might end. I'd rather face the uncertainty together than live in fear of what comes next.”
His own death holds no terror for him; he has long accepted the inevitability of his fate. Yet, when it comes to your mortality, a chill runs through him. As you glance up, he meets your gaze, and the world around you seems to fade. “You know,” he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper, voice low enoughf or only your ears to be blessed, “every moment with you feels like a precious thread woven into the fabric of my endless existence.”
"You'd make a great poet, Mydeimos," you teased, a playful smile tugging at your lips. He shot you a hardened glare at first, but as the seconds passed, the sharpness in his expression softened. A hint of a smile crept onto his face as he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer and settling you comfortably in his lap. The warmth of his embrace enveloped you, making the teasing feel like a shared secret between the two of you. The moment stretched, filled with unspoken words and a sense of intimacy that deepened the playful banter.
“What happens when that delicate thread, so finely woven into the fabric of our lives, breaks?” The question lingers in the air between you, thick with tension and weighty with meaning, as if it holds the power to unravel everything you thought was secure.
With a glint in his eyes, he leans in slightly, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "I suggest we change the word 'when' to 'if,'" he proposes, his breath brushing against your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. The suggestion hangs in the air, filled with unspoken possibilities, as the tension deepens, inviting you to explore the unknowns that lie ahead.
His golden, piercing eyes lock onto yours with an intensity that makes your heart race and your breath hitch. You can feel the weight of his gaze, filled with both longing, an alluring fire. “You make this life—my life—worth enduring,” he whispers, his voice low and husky, each word dripping with fierce conviction. There’s an urgency in his tone, leaving no room for argument, as if he knows the stakes of this moment.
He pauses for a heartbeat, the world around you fading into a blur as he leans closer, revealing the depth of his determination. “I’ll find a way to bring an end to the gods, to the chains that bind us,” he vows, his resolve evident in the fierce glint of his eyes. As the promise suspended between them, you took a deep breath, your heart racing. "Do you really believe you can achieve that? To become something more, for us?" Your voice trembled with a mix of hope and uncertainty.
He locked his gaze with yours, determination blazing in his eyes. "I have to believe it. For you. For our existence, and all those we hold dear. Without that promise, what kind of future would we have? I won’t settle for anything less."
The air around them crackled with tension. You could feel the heat radiating from him, pulling you in like a moth to a flame. “And if you transform into something… different? What if you lose yourself?”
Unwrapping a single arm from your waist, you feel the warmth of his hand as it gently cups your cheek. The skin is rough and calloused, a testament to the hard work he's known throughout his life. “I won’t. I’ll never lose you, not now, not ever,” he promises, his gaze steady and intense, filled with determination. Using his other arm to draw you closer, you feel the solidity of his biceps pressing against your body, a protective embrace that envelops you in his strength.
Time seemed to stand still as he leaned in closer, breaths mingling, anticipation thickening the air. “All I want is you,” he whispered just before closing the distance.
Your lips met in a restless kiss, igniting a fire deep within you both, a blaze that seemed to consume the very air around you. This was no ordinary kiss; it resonated with promises whispered in the softest of tones, dreams painted in vibrant colors, and the undeniable urgency of a love that pushed against the confines of your reality. As you melted into him, the world around you dissolved into a hazy blur, each heartbeat echoing the intensity of the moment. Time itself seemed to pause, allowing you to savor the depth of your connection, the way his hand cradled your face, and how his breath mingled with yours in a rhythm that felt both exhilarating and comforting. In that fleeting yet eternal instant, you were both willing to fight against any force that threatened your bond, believing wholeheartedly in his every word and the future that lay ahead, a future you were determined to build together, no matter the obstacles in your path.

Hello Sweetheart! I have returned once more to lend you an idea, a request if you may—for Mydei. If you’re feeling spicy, you could add Aventurine for some self indulgence on your part. Or a separate character you think would be fitting for the prompt!
I found an audio I thought would be adorable, perhaps our reader reminiscing with their partner or soon-to-be partner. Mutual pinning may work as well… either way! I have a dialog for reference this time around.
Fluffy goodness! Warm laughter, perhaps some sort of confession if they aren’t already established. Up to you! Enjoy 💙🫶
“You’re not what I thought you’d be like”
“Mean and scary?”
“Yeah-“
“Yeah, well. I actually thought, you’d be mean and scary too.”
“Me??”
“Terrifying!”
“You were the one I never knew I needed”
Summary: You and Mydei share a quiet evening after a long day of traveling. While relaxing, you play an old recording where you recall your initial misconceptions about Mydei being "mean and scary," which leads to a playful conversation between the two of you. As the conversation progresses, you confess that Mydei isn’t what you thought he would be, revealing a side of him that is caring and gentle. Both of you reflect on the bond that’s grown between you, with Mydei subtly hinting at his feelings for you, leading to a soft, unspoken confession of mutual affection.

The night air in the cozy inn was quiet, save for the crackling of a small fire that warmed the room. You and Mydei sat across from each other, the light flickering gently on his features as you both relaxed after a long day of traveling. The usual tension that came with his presence had melted away, replaced by a warmth that had become more and more familiar over the past few weeks.
You couldn’t help but smile as you listened to the soft hum of the evening. It was hard to imagine that only a short time ago, you’d barely known this man—this fierce warrior who, by all accounts, should have been intimidating, cold, and ruthless. Instead, you’d come to know Mydei as someone who, while still fiercely loyal to his cause, was far more complex, with layers that revealed themselves only to those close to him.
“I found something earlier today,” you said, your voice soft as you glanced at him. “A... recording. It reminded me of you.”
“Oh?” Mydei raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued. “What’s this about?”
You chuckled, shaking your head as you brought up the audio on your device. It was a simple recording, just a little snippet of your voice from a while back, talking to yourself in a way that now seemed amusing. You played it, the words from a much younger you echoing in the room.
"You're not what I thought you'd be like."
“Mean and scary?” Mydei’s voice rumbled through the room, amusement flickering in his eyes as he teased you.
“Yeah—” you heard your younger self say on the recording. “Yeah, well. I actually thought you’d be mean and scary too.”
“Me??” Mydei’s tone was light, a playful challenge in his voice as he leaned forward, meeting your gaze. “Terrifying!”
You couldn’t help but laugh at the way he delivered the line, that same glint of humor now so familiar to you. The recording was an amusing relic of your past assumptions, but now, sitting across from the man who had defied those assumptions in every way, it was a reminder of how far your relationship had come.
“Terrifying, huh?” you teased, leaning back with a smile. “I guess that’s one way to describe you.”
Mydei leaned back in his chair too, his eyes never leaving yours. There was a certain softness to his gaze now, one that made your heart flutter despite yourself. He hadn’t said anything out loud, but his silence spoke volumes.
You cleared your throat, feeling a mix of warmth and uncertainty. “You know… I never thought I’d end up here, with you. You’re not what I thought you’d be like, either.”
He tilted his head, waiting for you to continue.
“I thought you were all sharp edges and cold determination,” you confessed, your voice softer now, “but… there’s a lot more to you than that, isn’t there?”
Mydei’s eyes softened, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “I think you’ve seen more of me than anyone else,” he said, his voice low and sincere. “That’s why I’m glad you’re here.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, the weight of them not lost on you. You had grown so accustomed to the warrior he appeared to be—fearless, unyielding. But in the quiet moments like this, you saw the man beneath that exterior. The one who cared more deeply than he often let on. The one who had fought for his kingdom, for the people he loved, and for the future he dreamed of.
And maybe, just maybe, for someone like you.
Your gaze met his, and for a moment, neither of you said anything. The silence between you was filled with unspoken understanding.
“Hey,” you broke the quiet, your voice soft. “I… I’m glad you’re not what I thought you’d be.”
His smile widened just a little, a touch of warmth in his eyes. “I’m glad you’re not what I thought you’d be either.”
You laughed softly, the sound filling the room, and for once, it didn’t feel like you were the only one taking a leap of faith. Maybe Mydei wasn’t as terrifying as you thought, and maybe, just maybe, you weren’t the only one who had begun to feel something more.
“So,” you said, your voice teasing as you leaned forward a little, “when are you going to admit that you’ve fallen for me?”
Mydei’s expression shifted, a flicker of uncertainty passing through his eyes, but it was gone so quickly that you almost missed it. He leaned in too, his voice low as he spoke.
“I’d never admit that.”
You raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Oh really?”
“No,” he replied, his gaze meeting yours with such intensity that it stole the breath from your lungs. “Because I’m not sure I need to. Not when you already know.”
And just like that, the last of the tension between you both seemed to dissipate, leaving only the warmth of the fire and the shared understanding in the space between you.
The future—whatever it might hold—seemed a little brighter now.
