I know it's been a very long time that you have heard of me. And a few of you even have send me messages to ask what's up. I love you guys for your concern. But the truth is I'm in a very bad place. most of you know that I lost my best friend/ soul sister and i thought that i had stated my grieving process back then but it turns out that i turned into the support system of people around me instead, and now that comes around and bites me in the ass and puts me in a very dark grieving place.
I'm sorry for my absence and lack of writing, i used to be able to write through my emotions and even use them in my stories but now everytime i want to start writing i come out blank. i'm really sorry.
I have so many ideas left in my head and i don't know if i ever will be able to get them on paper or in a file.
I won't blame anyone of you if you want to unfollow me. I won't deactivate my blog but I can't promise that i'll go back to write.
Last but not least i want to thank all of you for being there and the support you've shown me through the years that i've been on here. I wouldn't be here without you guys ❤️
My DM's will always be open for everyone.
Special thanks to:
@marvelgirl7 @loricamebackyetagain @mycapt-ohcapt and others that i can't tag for some weird reason but you know who you are 😉❤️

Congrats on reaching 1k! Can I request #22 please? Thank you❤️
And here it is… story #25. The very last one. Thank you to everyone who has helped me celebrate reaching 1000 followers here on Tumblr. You are all loved and appreciated! Since Tumblr can sometimes be a brat about links, I will reblog this post with a link to the masterlist, prompt list and tags.
Title: Chocolate
Pairing: Steve Rogers x reader
Rating: PG
Warnings: n/a
Prompt #: 22 - “Once again, I’ve been lured away by the promise of chocolate.”
Disclaimer: This work of fiction is not to be reposted, used or translated without my permission.
To celebrate the last days of summer, you, Steve and your four kids had planned a small camp out in the backyard of your house in Upstate New York, a few miles from the Avenger Compound. The kids, your 11-year-old daughter, your 9-year-old son, your 7-year-old son and your 5-year-old daughter, had all been excited about the staycation. Maybe even a little too excited given that school was just around the corner for them all, but you hadn’t given it much thought.
The younger kids had helped Steve setup two tents while your older daughter had helped you make dinner; hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, and fresh vegetables. Once the tents, one deemed the boys’ tent and the other the girls’, you all sat down at the picnic table on the patio to eat.
After dinner was cleaned up, the six of you spent the last hour of daylight playing outside. Then you ushered the kids into the house to change into warm pajamas, knowing it would get cold now that the sun had set, while Steve started a fire in the firepit that he and your boys had built in preparation for this weekend.
When the kids returned, you handed them each a marshmallow roaster with two marshmallows on it for s'mores.
“Don’t eat all the chocolate this time, mom,” your oldest son teased. Then to Steve, explained, “When we were little, mom would eat all the chocolate bars before we could make the s'mores.”
“Can’t say I blame her for that,” Steve said with a chuckle. “Sometimes is the answer to all of life’s problems.”
“That’s what dad used to say,” your oldest daughter replied. “He used to tease mom about it, but he always had another candy bar or two hidden away for s'mores.”
You smiled at the memories and realized that it didn’t hurt as much as it had before to think of your late husband. The two of you had been high school sweethearts and had planned to send the rest of your lives together. Sadly, he’d been diagnosed with cancer when you’d been pregnant with your youngest and had passed away just after she turned one. You and the kids had spent three years following his death, dealing with the pain and loss. Some days had been good and some days had been bad, but you had made it through.
Then you had met Steve, who had dealt with more than his own share of grief. Neither you nor he had been prone to finding joy in life, but somehow, together, the two of you found your laughters again.
Your kids seemed to find their laughter, too, after you found yours. And despite the advice you’d received from family and friends, you hadn’t waited to introduce them to Steve early on in your relationship with him. The five of you were a packaged deal and you wanted to make sure he knew that.
In the end, it had been the best decision of your life. Steve and your kids had taken to each other quickly and he hadn’t tried to replace their dad. In fact, he’d asked you about their dad and, in turn, helped you keep the memory of your late husband alive for the kids. It wasn’t uncommon for one of the older kids to mention something about their dad or tell their younger sister about the dad she’d never gotten to know.
Sharing your world with Steve had also opened the door to him sharing his life with you. His fellow Avengers had become aunts and uncles to the kids and, while he didn’t live with you guys, it wasn’t uncommon for him to bring an Avenger or two home with him for a home cooked meal.
As if the thought of his fellow Avengers had summoned them, a loud whistle cut through the still night air and the kids all shouted, “UNCLE SAM!”
“What am I?” Bucky’s voice asked as he followed Sam down the steps of the house. “Chopped liver?”
“Hi Uncle Bucky,” the kids echoed with a laugh.
“That’s more like it,” he said as he picked up your five-year-old and sat down in her chair with her on her lap. “Want some help with your marshmallows, munchkin?”
“Can you make it big?” the little girl asked.
“Definitely,” Bucky promised.
“Bet Uncle Sam could make a bigger one,” your 9-year-old stated.
“Challenge accepted,” Bucky and Sam declared after glaring across the fire at each other.
You and Steve shook your heads while his two best friends tried to find the best roasting locations.
“Shall we go inside and make some hot chocolate?” Steve suggested to you. “Pretty sure the kids are good for awhile.”
“Sounds good,” you replied before handing the bag of marshmallows to your oldest daughter. “You can each have two more marshmallows. But no one is allowed to have more than 4 to eat, got it?”
“Got it,” she responded, not taking her eyes off the roasting battle.
“They’re going to be all sugared up and sick to their stomachs, aren’t they?” you asked Steve as the two of you made your way into the house.
“Probably,” Steve said with a laugh. “I can take care of the boys though. They’ll be easier than the drunk soldiers I helped in the war.”
Stopping at the screen door into the house, you turned and gave Steve a short kiss. “I love you,” you told him. “And I love that you love my kids.”
“I love them like they are my own,” he told you. “I would do anything for them and for you.”
“I know and we’d do the same for you,” you said, squeezing his hand.
He opened the door for you and the two of you went into the kitchen.
“I’ll grab the milk and a pot,” he offered. “You grab the chocolate milk powder.”
Opening the pantry, you locate the canister of hot chocolate, but freeze when you see a ring box sitting on top of it.
“It’s ok,” Steve’s voice says from behind you. “It won’t bite.”
You choked back a laugh as you reached a shaky hand out to grab the velvet box. Your hand wrapped around it and you pulled it back to your chest, clutching it against your heart.
“Is now a bad time to tell you it’s just earrings?” he teased as he carefully takes the box from your fingers.
Automatically, you turn towards him and find yourself unable to make out his features thanks to your teary eyes as he kneels before you.
“I love you,” he said, taking your left hand in his much larger ones. “You brought sunshine to my bleak life. I love your children and I want to help you raise them to be the women and men that you and your late husband wanted them to be. I want to grow old, well older, with you.”
You both chuckled at his words. While he looked like he was in his mid to late 30’s, he was really over a 100 years old, while you, in fact, were in your late 30’s.
“I love you,” he said again. “Will you marry me?”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!” you replied, nodding your head.
He opened the box, revealing a simple yet beautiful diamond ring. He slipped it onto your left ring finger before he stood up and kissed you.
The sound of a voice clearing behind you, brought the two of you back to the real world and you turned to find your kids, Bucky and Sam standing in the dining room grinning at the two of you.
“I take it she said yes?” Bucky asked with a grin.
“She said yes,” Steve confirmed.
A cheer erupted from the kids and they raced into the kitchen for a group hug.
In the midst of the celebration, you started to put two and two together: the kids’ excitement over camping out in the backyard and Sam and Bucky’s sudden appearance.
“You were all in on this, weren’t you?” you asked. Seven happy faces just grinned back at you. Shaking your head, you said, “How did you know it would work?”
“Everyone knows you can’t say no to chocolate, mom,” your oldest daughter stated. “In any form.”
“Looks like, once again, I’ve been lured away by the promise of chocolate,” you said, making them all laugh. Your eyes locked with Steve’s and you smiled. “But the outcome was even better than chocolate.”
“Speaking of chocolate, are we still having hot chocolate?” Bucky asked. “Cause that sounds good.”
A cup of hot chocolate and an hour later, the kids were in their sleeping bags in the tents and Sam and Bucky had returned to the compound, leaving you and Steve alone by the fire. The two of you sat in silence, enjoying each other’s company. You were sure that Sam and Bucky would tell the other Avengers about the engagement and that you and Steve would have to start planning your wedding. But for now, you wanted to do nothing but enjoy your engagement with Steve.

@sian22redux I’ve spent a half hour at times easily just coming up with a damn title or choosing what song to add my Wattpad post. It’s so silly sometimes to realize the things we obsess over
or where the shadows would fall, what moon phase it is, what plants grow in that locale.. after Private Party I know waaay more about Patagonia than I ever need. *laughs helplesslly and hysterically*

This is an 18+ blog. I mainly read Marvel characters and the actors who portray them. Who knows what I’m going to reblog but there is a high probability that there will be content minors should not read. I’m a happy ending type of person but that doesn’t mean the stories I read won’t be a rollercoaster of emotions. Please read any trigger warnings posted by the authors. Taking care of yourself is a top priority.

Drabblethon prompt: collecting seashells and pretty rocks along the shore
This is the first drabble for Becca’s on Vacation: Prompt Me! (why the hell do I always choose the long names? 🤦♀️) Anyway. Here is a little somethin’ somethin’ to get this thing going.
p.s. I didn’t plan for the story to go the way it did but I love it and part of it is sort of autobiographical and something I want to do.
Edit: I tried to put half of this under keep reading, but Tumblr on my computer wouldn’t do it. Ugh!
Title: Sea Shell Lamp
Pairing: Chris Evans x reader
Rating: G
Warnings: n/a (unless you’re like me and cry easily at sentimentale things… then this might make you cry…)
Disclaimer: This work of fiction is not to be reposted, used or translated without my permission.
Chris Evans held a sparkly, pink bucket in one hand and your hand with the other as you walked down the beach together. Ahead of the two of you, your three-year-old daughter stopped to investigate another cluster of things brought in by the tide.
“Find anything good, bug?” he asked as the two of you stopped by her.
“I find a crab,” the little girl reported, pointing at the small sand crab that changed direction suddenly, scaring her into Chris’s arms. “No pinch me, crab!”
Biting back a laugh, Chris said, “You’re ok, bug. Have you found a shell or rock to put in your bucket?”
His distraction worked and the little girl returned to her search for sea treasure. “Shell!” she exclaimed when spotted what looked like half a mussel shell.
“That’s a pretty one,” Chris said and held out the bucket. “Add it to our collection and that’s find some more.”
“What exactly do you have planned for all those shells you’re making our daughter find?” you asked Chris a few minutes later as the three of you started walking again.
“It’s a secret,” your daughter answered. She pressed her finger to her lips and made a ‘shh’ noise.
That night while you made dinner, Chris and your daughter bent their heads together over the shells picking out the very best ones to keep for their secret project. What remained, they would take back to the beach in the morning and sprinkle for other kids to collect.
It wasn’t until you guys got home from your little beach vacation that you found out what was going on.
Upon coming into the house, Chris had complained that it was stuffy and had asked you to go into the living room and open the sliding door to let air in while he went to do the same in the family room so you could get a nice cross breeze.
Thinking nothing of it, you went into the living room and opened the doors. It wasn’t until you turned around that you saw the new lamp sitting on the end table. Moving to it, you sat down on the couch and stared at the empty, glass base, which instantly took you back to your childhood and a similar lamp that had been at your grandma’s house. As a kid, you’d always wanted to fill it with sea shells.
“Is it the right one?” Chris asked.
Turning to him, you blinked away the tears and nodded your head. “It’s perfect. It’s exactly like hers.”
“Can we put shells in it now?” your daughter asked.
Laughing, you nodded your head and held out your arms to her. With a grin, she ran over and let you pull her into your lap. “Is this why you were collecting sea shells?” you asked.
“Uh huh.” She nodded. “Daddy said we has to find the bestest ones. And that we has to be careful not to break them.”
Thirty minutes later, the three of you sat on the couch admiring the new lamp. Chris had put some sand in the bottom of it to keep the shells off the glass bottom and then one by one, you guys had added the shells. There were only enough to cover the layer of sand, but you knew that had been Chris’s plan. The three of you, and how ever many more children the two of you would be blessed to have, would add a few shells for each and every beach trip you took until, someday, it would be full.

series masterlist
Bucky sat at the bar of a local pub, nursing his drink, his thoughts swimming. He wanted to wallow in his feelings in peace. The alcohol had dulled the pain momentarily, but it couldn't erase the ache in his heart. Yes, he knew he had drunk too much already but he didn’t care. When he was drunk he spiraled into a cycle of self-doubt, believing every hurtful thing that had been said about him and about Y/N. And then he just drank more because he didn’t want to think about everything.
Just then, the door of the pub opened. Normally he would just ignore it but for some reason his eyes turned towards the door. As soon as his eyes landed on the person who had just walked in he just froze. Y/n. His first thoughts weren’t all those negative things he was thinking just mere moments ago.
‘Gorgeous’.
She looked different from how he remembered her but she was still the most gorgeous person he had ever laid eyes on. At that moment he remembered why he fell in love with her in the first place, he was still very in love with her. But then all his drunken thoughts flooded back into his mind so he turned his focus back on his drink and drank it in one go before ordering a new one.
Y/n didn’t know why but she was in desperate need of a drink, she wasn’t someone who drank often and definitely never more than a few drinks. But the day had been dragging her down. After her panic reaction from the day before seeing Steve, she kept herself in a higher state of alert. But the next day it affected her work day too and the fact that her workload increased immensely hadn’t helped either. But luckily, a coworker had joined in to help her with the monstrosity of an assignment.
After the long day at work, she needed to let off some steam and this pub she was about to enter was the same one she used to go to when she’d sneak out of her parent's house when she was younger. It had a feeling of nostalgia around it and just seeing it brought back fond memories.
But when she pushed the door open and walked in she instantly regretted her decision. Bucky Barnes was sitting at the pub’s bar just a few feet in front of her. Panic soared through her and all she wanted to do was run, she wasn’t ready for a confrontation. It seemed like he hadn’t noticed her walking in so she took a deep breath to calm herself and kept walking into the pub straight to the back in the hopes she wouldn’t be noticed.
When she sat down and had her first drink she couldn’t stop herself from staring at Bucky from the corner of her eye. He still looked handsome, maybe even more handsome than she remembered. But she did notice the darker circles under his eyes, there was a somber aura surrounding him. She wondered what had happened to him after she left. But one thing clearly hadn’t changed, he was still a member of the MC, the kut on his back staring back at her.
Unable to resist the pull, Bucky got up from his seat, looked around the room and sure enough he found Y/N sitting in the back. He approached her, the alcohol fueling his courage and clouding his judgment. When he stood there before the table she was sitting at, his voice tinged with bitterness and hurt.
"You're here," he said, his words somehow laced with both relief and resentment. As soon as the words left his lips he knew that wasn’t the way he wanted to come over but alcohol was a bitch. He wanted nothing more than to have a civil conversation with her but his mind was working against him.
Y/N met his gaze, her heart pounding in her chest fearing the worst. For the first time, she was actually scared of the man she grew up with and loved for so long.
"I'm here," she replied, trying to sound casual. She hoped that her wavering voice didn't betray the anxiety she felt. "But I didn't plan on running into you."
The air between them crackled with unresolved tension, the weight of unspoken words hanging heavily in the space. Both wounded souls yearned to reach out, but the walls of pride and hurt held them back.
Bucky couldn't ignore the hurt that simmered beneath the surface. "You disappeared without a word, Y/N. You left." he spat out.
Y/N's eyes hardened, mirroring the pain she felt. "I left because I had to, Bucky. It wasn't an easy decision."
Bucky scoffed, a bitter, derisive laugh escaping him. "So you just decided to leave without even telling me? It's like you never cared about us."
"I cared, Bucky." she glared up at him, eyes watering. "I care. But it was too complicated. You wouldn't understand." Bucky's jaw clenched, the alcohol fueling his temper. "And you really think leaving was the best solution? Just running away? Like a coward?" he said, his voice cutting across the pub which had now gone silent.
People at their tables glanced at the duo out of the corner of their eyes, trying not to seem too obvious that they were listening in.
Y/N's voice wavered, glancing around the dim pub. Her heart was torn between the love she still felt for him and the pain of their separation.
"I didn't know what else to do. I needed time to sort things out." She lied in a whisper. She wasn’t ready to tell him what his father told her, afraid that he wouldn’t believe her or that his father was right that Bucky never had truly loved her.
The words hung heavily in the air, a painful admission that neither of them wanted to acknowledge. The hurt between them deepened as they both lashed out in frustration and fear.
"You think leaving was the best thing for us?" Bucky's voice grew louder, his emotions bubbling to the surface. A chair creaked in the distance as someone shifted in their seat. "You didn't even give us a chance to talk!"
"And what would we have talked about, Bucky?" Y/N retorted, her voice breaking. "Our lives were heading in different directions. We were never meant to be."
Bucky's eyes darkened, his anger simmering. "Don't you dare say that," he whispered, almost pleading. "We had something real, something special."
Those words made Y/N chuckle. A dry, mirthless chuckle. At that point she just gave in to all those fears and negative thoughts she had.
“Fuck! Like you care, Bucky. You never cared, not about me or anything else! You’re just a good actor taking whatever you want and then using it like a toy you can get rid of when you've had your fun!"
Bucky was stunned by her words. He leaned away from her, eyes glistening.
Was that really how she saw him?
Instead of proving her wrong, he balled his fists in anger, if this was anybody else, they would have already been sprawled on the floor from the force of the blow he would deliver. But this was someone who owned his heart ever since they were kids.
“Sounds more like someone else, do I need to remind you that you were the one who left. Don’t you dare to put this on me Y/N.”
"You broke my heart," he said and Y/N looked away from him.
"You broke mine too," she whispered.
After that, everything else became fuzzy. Y/N vaguely remembered them arguing over drinks until even she had drank more than she ever had done. They both said things they didn’t mean but couldn’t take back. The next thing she knew, the owner of the pub had kicked them both out due to their argument starting to get too heated and too loud and disturbing other patrons.
Once on the curb Bucky just started walking without even looking at her, it was only when he was almost at the corner of the street that he called out to her.
“Are you coming or what?” He slurred out, the alcohol affecting his speech.
She didn’t know why but she did as he asked and followed him to wherever he was going. She just hoped that it wasn’t the MC’s clubhouse. Cause she knew if they went there things wouldn’t end well for her. But even in her drunken state and after their fight she still trusted him.
They walked in complete silence beside each other and for a little bit, it almost felt like old times. Their hands were almost touching, that’s how close they were walking. But the atmosphere around them was still filled with the aftermath of their fight, anger, hurt...
Almost every emotion went through her.
She didn’t know how it happened but, by the time they stopped in front of a building she remembered it to be Bucky’s house, their hands had been intertwined. But that wasn’t the only thing, they were almost glued together, that was how close they were walking. To any outsider, they would look like just an average couple.
Bucky opened his front door and led her inside. A lot had changed, most of the furniture was the same as those she remembered but there wasn’t any life in it. It was clear that he wasn’t here much, dust covered most surfaces. But the thing that touched her the most was the big picture frame that was hanging on the wall above his couch. The frame was filled with pictures of Steve, Bucky, and her. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at it. Every emotion rose inside her. She missed those days portrayed in those pictures, they were so happy back then. At least she was. Now it was just a painful reminder of everything that had happened. Did he bring her here to torment her? Cus if he was, this was a very good start.
“Why did you bring me here James?” she asked, her anger and sadness bleeding through her words. But before she could fire off her next question Bucky had stepped closer to her, his hands framing her face as he planted his lips on top of hers.
At first, she was so shocked by his actions that she froze, she didn’t really know what was going on. Bucky was kissing her. She didn’t really know what she was feeling, this was something she had dreamed of for so long. But she was still feeling anger and hurt towards him. And that was where the alcohol kicked in, if she’d been sober then she’d have pushed him off her in a second, hell she would have never even walked home with him.
When she felt him pull back, probably because she wasn’t kissing him back, she pulled him back in and deepened the kiss. She might have still been angry at him but the alcohol started to cloud her judgment more and more until she just didn’t care anymore, she just wanted to live in the moment for as long it would last. Her tongue ran over his lips which he opened happily for her. His hands dropped from her face to find their place on her waist before pulling her with him, their lips and tongues still intertwined, to the couch.
As soon as he felt the edge of the couch he let himself fall into it and pulled Y/N with him so she landed on his lap.
With her chest pressed against his she could feel the rapid beats of his heart, the heat of his skin under her fingers. Even the soft movement of his breath against her face with the smell of alcohol. Every little detail of him she had missed so much and now she just tried to drown herself in them. It lighted her up, like she was on fire and that all just from making out. But then Bucky’s hands moved down from her waist until they were resting on the swells of her butt and softly squeezing them making her moan into his kiss.
“You still sound so gorgeous when you moan babydoll,” he groaned before softly biting her lower lip.
For just a second it was like there was a fuse exploding in her mind when she heard the nickname rolling over his lips. She quickly shook it off before pushing him back down against the reclining part of the couch. She pushed him down until they were laying down.
“Just shut up," she sighed. "It's clear we’re not here to talk.”
She wasn’t even done talking when she started to push his kut over his shoulders until he took it off completely, his shirt following quickly after.
‘Was his chest always this defined?’
She thought to herself while her fingers glided over every inch of his tattooed skin. Bucky’s eyes closed, enjoying her touch. It wasn’t long before the alcohol in his blood gave him a new confidence boost. He picked her up again just to flip them around so she was laying beneath him.
“You’re wearing too much clothes, let’s make this even.”
It wasn’t long before both of them were making out on the couch just in their underwear, hands wandering all over each other.
Y/n hadn’t been this turned on in years, it was like he still knew every little thing that made her tick. She could practically feel herself dripping all over Bucky’s leg that she was grinding on after he had pushed it between her legs. What added to it was the fact that she could feel Bucky’s obvious hard-on against her thigh. He was clearly aware of it as he gripped her hips and guided her movements against his leg and adding a bit more pressure by tightening the muscles in his leg, making her softly moan into his mouth.
“Touch me, please,” Y/N softly spoke when she pulled back from their kiss.
“Never have to ask me twice, babydoll,” he said before he pulled away a bit and pulled her panties down her legs.
“Look at that, so wet for me,” he said, making Y/N gasp when he softly swiped his thumb over her folds, collecting some of her wetness before putting it in his mouth.
“Mmm still the sweetest taste, I need a better taste. Will you let me? Hm? Can I eat this pretty pussy?”
His question hadn’t even left his lips completely and she was already saying yes, begging for him to do it.
It wasn’t long before she was a moaning mess, riding his face as he was fingers deep inside her while making out with her clit. He pulled orgasm after orgasm out of her until she begged him to stop. But that little break didn’t last long before she pulled him back in for a kiss which soon ended with him deep inside of her.
He really did fuck her brains out, there wasn’t a single thought in her mind. There was only them and pleasure in that moment, nothing else. With every thrust of his hips he took her higher and higher until she felt like she was floating, the only thing she could do was hang onto Bucky for dear life.
Y/N's eyes fluttered open, and a searing pain in her head made her wince. She was disoriented for a moment, trying to piece together the events of the previous night. The room was unfamiliar, and her heart raced as she glanced around. Then she noticed an arm wrapped around her. Bucky was breathing steady as he slept beside her.
The memories started to flood back. They had both indulged in too much alcohol, drowning their sorrows while they had argued. In the haze of the night, they had ended up in Bucky's bed.
Y/N's thoughts raced, and a surge of panic washed over her. Did he take advantage of her? Or was he simply looking for a fleeting moment of nostalgia, reliving the past by seeking comfort in their physical connection?
Carefully, Y/N slipped out of Bucky's embrace, her movements slow and deliberate as she tried not to wake him and walked back into the living room. Her clothes were strewn on the floor, a stark reminder of the night's events. After their play time on the couch he had taken her to his bed for round two before falling asleep in each other’s arms. As she hastily dressed, the weight of her assumptions and insecurities pressed down on her.
She could hear Bucky shifting in his sleep, but Y/N didn't dare to look back. The room felt suffocating, and the idea of facing him filled her with dread. She believed she had made a mistake, that she had been foolish to drink so much and let him affect her so much that she had fallen for his charm, again. Maybe it had all just been a drunken whim for Bucky, she didn't want to be the one holding onto false hope that it could have been something more.
With one last glance at Bucky's sleeping form, Y/N quietly slipped out of the house, closing the door behind her. The cool air outside hit her like a wake-up call, and she hailed a taxi, ready to put some distance between herself and the uncertainty of the night before and back to where she had left her car.
As the taxi drove her away from Bucky's place, Y/N's heart ached with regret and doubt. But in her mind, it was better to leave now, to protect herself from the heartbreak that she thought was inevitable. She wished that she had never ran into Bucky the night before.
Little did she know that Bucky was waking up in that room, his heart heavy with the realization that he had let her go without saying what he truly felt. Her leaving, more like running away from him again made his heart break all over again. But he knew that it hadn’t been his smartest move to talk to her while drunk. Sleeping with her while being drunk and without everything cleared up had been a mistake.

Drabble-thon request: Chris x Reader: they’ve been making plans for 4th of July for months. When the day arrives there’s a powerful storm.
This drabble is for Becca’s July Drabbleathon!
Title: Light Up the Night
Pairing: Chris Evans x reader
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mention of making love
Disclaimer: This work of fiction is not to be reposted, used or translated without my permission.
The lights are off as you snuggle into Chris’s side for the 4th of July light show outside. There is a flash of light and you can’t help but count the seconds before you hear the crack that accompanies the flash.
“Not a traditional fireworks show,” Chris says as another flash of lightning lights up the sky. “But It sure is beautiful.”
“Relaxing, too,” you add, nodding your head towards to rain splattered window you’re watching the lightning from.
The two of you had planned a big shindig for the Fourth of July, the first holiday since you had moved in with him, but had ultimately rescheduled when the weather service issued a severe weather alert for the day. The weather had been dismal in the morning and had gotten progressively worse during the day.
It had started pouring a couple hours ago and the power had started flickering a short time later, before ultimately going out.
The thunder and lightning storm had started about an hour ago and Chris had put Dodger in his kennel, which was in the walk-in closet in the master bedroom, and put on some calming music to help him through the storm. You had checked on the dog, a few minutes ago, and he had been relaxed in his safe zone.
A quick series of lightning cracks in the sky with the sound echoing around you almost immediately. Chris’s arm tightens around your shoulders as if he is protecting you from the wrath of Mother Nature.
“I wonder what Loki did to piss off Thor,” you say jokingly in an attempt to lighten the mood.
Chris gives you an odd look before it registers and he laughs. “I have a couple ideas, but I’m not at liberty to say,” he replies and mimes zipping his lips with his left hand.
“You’re such a tease,” you tell him before childishly sticking your tongue out at him.
You aren’t sure how it happened, but one second you were on the couch with Chris and the next you are both on the floor. The storm outside acts as a backlight to the sweet, passionate love making that follows.
Prompting is closed. Thanks to all who submitted a prompt!

series masterlist
The sun was already rising when Bucky had finished the job he had to do for the club. There was only one thing or someone on his mind ever since he left the clubhouse—y/n.
He wanted the job done as soon as possible so he could go back to his girl, hold her in his arms, and make love to her the way she deserved not the quickie they had at the clubhouse. He wanted to show her how much she meant to him, he wanted to worship her like the queen she was. Then he’d make her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whatever she wanted, he’d give her.
Bucky made a quick stop at his place to shower, change into fresh clothes, and then he made his way to Y/n’s apartment.
When he arrived, the first thing he noticed was that her car wasn’t where it was usually parked but Bucky wasn’t really worried. Maybe Steve had given her a ride from the party and her car was still at the clubhouse. It wouldn’t be the first time.
He almost skipped up the few stairs that led to her floor. He never knocked or rang the doorbell when he came over, both he and Steve knew where she had hidden a spare key to her front door so they had always used it to let themselves in.
Once in front of her door he noticed something wasn’t right, all the little knick-knacks that decorated the small hallway that led to her front door were gone. Even the welcome mat that hid her key was gone.
It made Bucky nervous, what could have made her remove those things she had put there with the biggest smile, some of those items Bucky had gifted her. She loved them.
With a little tremble in his hand, he did something that he had never done before. He knocked on the door.
But when nothing happened he tried the doorknob and to his surprise, it wasn’t locked which made his nerves evolve into panic, y/n always locked her door even when she was home. So the fact that the door wasn’t locked meant that at least something had happened.
The biggest shock was actually when he walked into the apartment, at first it looked like the place was robbed, drawers and closet doors were left open and almost empty. When he walked deeper into the apartment it became clear that someone had gathered important stuff and left in a hurry.
But it just didn’t make sense to Bucky, why would his girl leave her own place in a hurry and without telling him? Everything seemed perfect yesterday, he didn’t understand what had changed. Didn’t she like him like she had claimed the night before? Had she just played along with his feelings instead of rejecting him? No, Bucky didn’t believe that.
He picked up a framed photo of the two of them, which had captured a moment of pure joy and laughter. His eyes welled up with tears as he hugged the photo to his chest. How could everything have come crashing down so quickly? What had transpired to cause Y/N to vanish without a trace?
Bucky's hands trembled as he took out his phone and dialed Y/N's number. His heart pumped with eagerness, hoping to hear her voice on the other end of the line, but his expectations were swiftly destroyed when he heard the automated message notifying him that the number was no longer in service.
Panic coursed through Bucky's veins as he tried again, certain that it was a mistake. However, each attempt resulted in the same result: an empty abyss of silence. It was as if Y/N had vanished from his world, leaving only memories and unresolved questions behind.
His mind raced with possibilities about what had happened to her. Was she in danger? Had she been compelled to disconnect her phone number? Bucky tightened his grip on his phone, his knuckles growing white. He felt utterly helpless, unable to contact the person who meant everything to him.
He was driven by desperation as he browsed through his contact list, hoping to find any trace of Y/N. But every attempt failed. It was as if she had erased every digital link they had, leaving no trace.
Bucky's anguish morphed into a determined determination to find Y/N and solve the mystery of her disappearance. He refused to let fear dominate him or their love be so easily shattered. He resolved to find her and bring her back into his arms, with the memory of her touch and the taste of her kiss still fresh in his mind.
Bucky returned to his motorcycle after reversing his steps from her home. Every fiber of his being desired to hold Y/N again, to comfort and protect her. He rode with fresh determination to the clubhouse, where he knew Steve would be.
Bucky's motorcycle roared as he approached the clubhouse, his pulse pounding with dread and excitement. He stopped the bike and entered, the familiar fragrance of leather and fuel enveloping him. Bucky approached Steve as he was going over some paperwork, his eyes brimming with desperation.
"Steve," Bucky said urgently. "Do you know where Y/N is? Did you take her home last night?"
Steve raised his head, a worried expression on his face as he met Bucky's eyes. "I haven't seen Y/N since last night, Buck. I stayed a little longer after you left but she had already left. I thought she was leaving with you."
Bucky's heart fell even more after hearing Steve's response. His fists were clenched, frustration and dread pouring through his veins.
"I don't understand, Steve," Bucky replied, his voice shaking with a mixture of rage and grief. "There's something wrong. Y/N would not simply vanish like this. She wouldn't leave without telling me."
Steve put a hand on Bucky's shoulder and squeezed it gently. "I understand, Buck. I'm as concerned as you are. But don't worry, we'll find her.
Bucky nodded, grateful for his best friend's support.
Bucky's father stood at the clubhouse's entrance, overhearing Bucky and Steve's conversation. His stern stare was fixated on his son, a mixture of anger and anxiety written on his face. With heavy footsteps, he approached Bucky, his presence commanding attention.
"Bucky," his father's voice growled, sending shivers up Bucky's spine. "We need to talk."
Bucky moved his gaze to his father. He was aware that this would not be a typical father-son chat. Steve stood calmly, sensing the tension but ready to help his friend.
Bucky's father stared him in the eyes, his voice a powerful mixture of disappointment and authority. "I couldn't help but listen in on your discussion. Is it true? Did Y/N truly abandon you for another man?"
Bucky's eyes widened in shock, his mind struggling to process his father's words. It felt as if the ground beneath him was crumbling away, leaving him unsteady and lost.
"I... I don't know, Dad," Bucky stammered, his voice filled with confusion and pain. " Her place is empty and I can’t get a hold of her, something must have happened. I don’t know why you’d think she left me for another man Y/N would never do something like that. "
His father's face hardened, his voice laced with a chilling bitterness.
"You're naïve, Bucky. You've always been blind to the truth. Y/N confided in me last night. She admitted that she never loved you, that you were just a fling to her, a goodbye hook-up before she left for another town with her new boyfriend."
Bucky's world shattered in an instant. He felt as if the air had been sucked out of his lungs. His mind raced, searching for any trace of truth or falsehood in his father's words. But deep down, he couldn't believe that Y/N would betray him in such a way.
A mix of pain and defiance welled up in Bucky's eyes as he stared at his father. "I don't believe you," he whispered, his voice filled with raw emotion. "Y/N loves me. I know she does."
His father's expression grew colder, his voice sharp and unforgiving. "You're a fool, Bucky. Y/N never truly cared about you. She wanted a new life, leaving behind the old one without a second thought. It's time for you to face the truth."
Bucky's heart ached as his father's words seeped into his wounded soul. The weight of betrayal and confusion threatened to break him, but a flicker of resilience ignited within him.
Bucky turned to Steve, seeking support and solace. "Steve, you were there that night. You saw how Y/N looked at me, how we were together. She loves me, right?"
Steve met Bucky's gaze, his voice filled with unwavering loyalty. "Buck, I've known you and Y/N for years. The connection you share is real. I can't believe she would just throw it all away without any explanation."
Bucky's father scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. "You're both fools. Y/N played you, Bucky. She used you, and now she's moved on. It's time for you to accept it and move on as well."
Bucky's heart shattered into a million pieces, but a glimmer of defiance flickered within him. Despite the pain, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story, that Y/N's absence held secrets that needed to be unraveled.
—
Years later Bucky’s father finally had what he wanted, when he stepped down as president everyone voted for Bucky to take over the patch. As years passed he started to look more and more like his father when it came to the club, he was just as ruthless.
On top of that, he would end up drunk most nights, drowning his old self, that part he lost when he lost Y/N. It's like since Y/N left, he became a completely different person.
The only person who saw through it all was Steve but he knew better than to point it out to Bucky, even though her name wasn’t brought up anymore. Steve mostly let him be but as his best friend and his VP he made sure that he didn’t do anything stupid when he was drunk, mostly he’d hide the keys to his bike so he would be forced to sleep in the clubhouse dorm.
After some time Bucky practically lived at the clubhouse dorm, he had his own house though he was never there, and mostly used it to store his stuff.
Alcohol wasn’t his own problem, love or rather intimate affection was too. It was rare that Bucky went to his dorm alone at night. He didn’t really care who it was, a club sweetbutt or just someone random he met, it didn’t matter. He didn’t love them, but he just needed someone to spend the night with to keep his mind from racing to places he didn’t want. He believed if someone he loved so much could just leave him just like that, then love was maybe something that wasn’t real. When he did think back to Y/N he had mixed feelings, he didn’t really know what to feel but it was a mix of pain, betrayal, confusion, and concern. He still didn’t believe his father’s story completely but over time he couldn’t help but to wonder, what if.
—
Y/N fidgeted nervously with her fingers. She was sitting in the very uncomfortable chair in her boss' office while he stared down at her.
“I need you to go on a business trip. One of our high-end customers wants to host a charity event. And asked for you personally.” Her boss was straight to the point just as he sat down behind his desk.
Y/N was surprised that someone had actually asked for her. She wasn’t bad by any means, Y/N was good in what she did but she didn’t consider herself one of the top workers.
“That sounds like an amazing opportunity that I can’t turn down," she said excitedly.
Her boss just nodded as he gave her the folder that held all the information for the upcoming business trip.
But once she opened it to see where she was going, she closed it just as quickly.
Brooklyn.
It was like everything happened at a speed tempo. Even her mind was racing. She really wanted to tell her boss that she couldn’t do this but she also knew that turning down this job could be bad for her career. So she had no other choice but to go back to Brooklyn.
Y/N stood in her apartment, her hands shaking slightly as she packed her bags for the business trip to Brooklyn. The memories of the past and the ominous threat from Bucky’s father lingered in her mind.
As she folded clothes and organized her belongings, she couldn't help but imagine the worst-case scenarios.
What if she ran into Bucky or Steve while she was there?
The fear of facing them, of seeing the hurt in their eyes, gnawed at her heart. She had left without a word, unable to face the pain of saying goodbye, believing it was for the best. But now, returning to Brooklyn, she couldn't escape the uncertainty of what awaited her.
Would they confront her? Would they believe the lies that had been spread about her? Would they tell Bucky’s father? What if they hated her now? She just hoped that she wouldn’t run into one of them so she wouldn’t get an answer to those questions.
The whole ride to her hotel in Brooklyn she was barely able to focus on the road. But once she had parked and reached her hotel room she had made up her mind, she was going to do her job like it was just any other and nothing more. Her mind set that she wouldn’t run from the past. And even if she saw someone from back then she was sure they wouldn’t even recognize her. It was only a few days that she’d be there and most of the time she’d be working.
The first two days were filled with meetings where she went from her hotel room to the office and back. When she arrived back at her hotel room it was already close to midnight. Those days had been so busy that the only thing on her mind was work and nothing else. On the third day, however, the meetings that were planned were over faster than expected so she had most of the afternoon free.
That’s how she found herself in the coffee-shop that was near the office, with her car parked just around the corner.
This place had only opened a few months prior so she was almost sure that she could have a drink in peace before she’d go back to her hotel room.
With her favorite drink in hand she had just walked out the door when she heard the rumble of a motorcycle that not much later turned off. She could feel the waves of panic rise deep inside her gut and it grew into a tsunami when she looked in the direction from where the sound had come.
She looked straight into eyes she hadn’t seen in years but she could easily recognize the owner. Steve Rogers was looking at her from across the street, but when she saw that he started to move into her direction panic took over.
She wasn’t ready for a confrontation with the past, she didn’t want to know if he’d be friendly with her or if he’d blame her for everything that had happened. She knew that in the past he was the most soft-spoken and sweetest boy she knew despite the rough exterior. But right now she didn’t want to find out if he was still like that.
So she quickly made her way back to her car without looking back.
—
It was a slow day in the clubhouse for once, not a lot of people were there besides their table members and a few prospects who stood behind the bar or did some small tasks.
Bucky was leaning back in his chair nursing a cup of coffee with his feet resting on the table in front of him. His eyes were closed and for the first time in years, he looked like he found peace, like there were no thoughts haunting his mind.
As Bucky sat lost in his thoughts, the clubhouse door swung open, interrupting the brief respite he had found. Steve's hurried footsteps echoed through the room as he made his way toward Bucky's table. His expression was a mix of urgency and excitement, causing Bucky to sit up straight.
"Bucky," Steve exclaimed, his voice barely above a whisper as if sharing a well-guarded secret. "I saw her. Y/N is back in town."
Bucky's heart skipped a beat, his eyes widening in disbelief. A surge of emotions flooded through him. Y/N's return was unexpected, something he had never imagined.
"What? Are you sure?" Bucky's voice trembled a bit.
Steve nodded, his voice filled with a sense of wonder. "I caught a glimpse of her from across the street. She looked... different, but it was her. I tried to approach, but she got into a car before I reached her.”
Bucky's mind raced with possibilities. He had so many questions. Why had Y/N returned? What had transpired during her absence? Was she safe? Was what his father had told him true? The answers he longed for were just out of his reach, shrouded in uncertainty.
A mix of hope and apprehension swirled within Bucky as he considered the implications. Would Y/N be willing to talk to him? The suspense of not knowing gnawed at his every thought.
Unable to contain himself, Bucky rose from his seat, his heart pounding. "Steve, we have to find her. I have to talk to her. I need to know what happened, why she left."
Steve placed a hand on Bucky's shoulder, his eyes filled with both caution and encouragement. "Buck, Y/N's return may bring answers or more questions. But you’ll be able to find her and figure things out and bring her back home."
Bucky nodded with a determined glint in his eyes, he needed to find Y/N.
